You woke up, everything felt normal at first. Looking outside, you thought it was a bit foggy. You went into the bathroom, combed your mane, and finished getting ready. You decided you would check the mail. As you stepped outside, your magic lit up and opened the mailbox. You had a letter, it was from...the police? “Huh, that’s strange, maybe I should check that out.” you thought to yourself. You sat down at the table, and opened it. It said:
Dear Blooming Rose
You are one of the last 50 Equestrians left. They seemingly abandoned you, wherever you are. We don’t know where they’ve gone, but what we do know is that there are only 2 others in your town, one of which we have already taken, the other of which we had to restrain. If you’d like to know why, come to us immediately. We are inviting you to help with a very important task- reading the remaining journal of Luna. The other information we have is that they left you all behind on purpose, as they could not take any more with them. You have been asleep for close to a month, just like almost everypony, including the ones who left. This journal is from days 1-7 . The rest is blank, there is nothing after that. We assume that’s when they left, but we can’t be sure. Please come to us immediately.
-The Police
You lit up your horn and teleported to the police station, where you were met by an unnamed girl. She led you to another room down the hall, room 22. You noticed something strange; there was no Room 25.You sat down and started to question. “Who are you, what happened to Room 25, and who did you restrain?!“
“My name is Lily. The girl we restrained is named Pinkie Pie. Room 25 is closed off forever, that’s where we had to put her to keep her from killing us. Her eyes are white and oozing black liquid, which is an unknown substance.”
“I see. I’d like to help you with the journal.”
“Ah, yes.” she said. “Just be warned, you may get freaked out trying to read this.”
“Which pony is this again?” you asked.
“This is Luna’s. Go ahead”
So, you head off to find a spot to read. Once you find an area to do so, you sit down and start reading the journal.
Day 1
There is quite a lot of fog outside. I am hoping it is not dangerous. Celestia told me not to go outside. She said she will talk about it tommorow.
Day 2
Celestia has told me that we must use magic to send signals all around. We have to find ponies.
It seems I’ve found one. It’s Rarity. She’s coming here.
Day 3
We have all the elements here. Currently are trying to locate their families.
Day 4
Applejack has gotten a signal from the farm. The following entries will be hers.
I got one from 3 ponies. 2 of the older ones, and Apple Bloom. They said they were alright, and that they were on their way. They seemingly found a needle, with some sort of black liquid, that said “If a pony acts strange,give this to them and restrain them.” I was told that they were going to take it with them.
I have just received news that they are going to use it on one of the older ponies.
They’re saying something happened to her. Her eyes are turning white and oozing black liquid. She has the needle and is trying to attack them.
Immediately, you stopped reading it.
“Wait” you say. “Didn’t Pinkie also look like that?”
You continue to read, a little concerned.
They managed to tie her to a nearby tree. They’re on their way.
I’ve just gotten news that Apple Bloom has had to restrain the other older pony after they used the needle on her. She says she is entering Canterlot right now and will be here soon.
Apple Bloom has just told me that she is being backed against the wall by more of those ponies. The following entries will be written after I get to her.

I rushed to the stairs, telling her I was on the second floor, coming down to the first. My hooves slammed against the tiles as I raced down the hall. I burst through the door, to see Apple Bloom cornered by 3 of them. I attacked 2, tying them up and snapping their necks, but then I turned and watched Apple Bloom get stabbed with a needle, right in the neck. I immediately grabbed the 3rd monster, tying them up and tossing them aside. I grabbed Apple Bloom and ran to my room, where I tied her up.
Her eyes have started turning white and leaking that black stuff. Her fur is beginning to fall off. All of her legs are melting off, and just the bone remained as it dripped far down to the floor, a yellow and red mess, complete with matted yellow fur. I just have to sit here, nothing I can do, watching her stare at me with what little of her eyes she has left....
She is gone.
Day 5
It’s Luna again. We sent Rainbow Dash out into the fog. She came back, scared and dazed, and wouldn’t tell us anything. All she said was ...
“Don’t go out there. They’re never coming back”
Day 6
I’m going to go and see for myself what’s out there. Celestia says almost everypony is gone, and those who aren’t are simply asleep, for as long as we can make them be.
I went out...
There are candles, as far as the eye can see... Millions of them. The remains of ponies who have died in this mess.... I feel nothing anymore. All I can hear is the struggling cries of all they dying ponies. All I can see is the remains, them being sliced open, neck to chest. I see them struggling on the ground, their sad eyes begging me for help.
Day 7
*there are bloody hoof prints on this page.*
I can’t deal with it. I can’t anymore. I can’t stand the sad looks of the dying ponies. Everypony is dead. Except me and Celestia. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I’m tying the noose as I write this, and I have my knife.
Goodbye.
This is Celestia writing this. I don’t know what happened to Luna. I assume the process was cutting her stomach open, getting on the chair, and hanging herself.
It’s the candles fault.
They’re never coming back.
