Dark times befall upon Equestria.

Millennia of prosperity and peace were shattered by war with the Changeling Queendom. In an age of bold dieselpunk innovation and industrialization, Queen Chrysalis finds an opportunity to enact her revenge against Equestria.

With casualties rising in the hundred-thousands in the first few months, the strategies situation deteriorates untenably. Finding themselves pushed back by the relentless onslaught, the Equestrians fought against an enemy determined to eradicate them; a war that determines their very survival.

Octavia--Equestria's more renowned classical musicians--was to play in Canterlot as a tribute to the Equestrian Military fighting on the front. More than anything, she wishes to live in isolation; to play her instrument in peace, and to stay away from the fighting.

Retreating to Ponyville, she found herself threatened to be trapped in a besieged city. Although she stays, nopony knows why.

Inevitably, Ponyville found itself cut off from Equestria's reach and relative safety. And Octavia is now trapped.

Trapped in a city where food and water are scarce; Hope and Generosity are not found amongst anypony else sharing the same fate. As Octavia struggles to find the will to live in her war-torn concrete jungle, she is fighting an uphill battle within herself.

If escape is not possible, she would surely fall to madness before death would claim her.
