Gold is a dancer and dancing student. Most of her time is spent either learning more elaborate dances or on the dance floor. She is, however still a proud mercenary and happily in the employ of the Southern Lanterns, a group of freedom fighters bent on saving the bat race from slavery, and from a life of breeding and being sold into a slave army for an endless war to the north. Her handler has come and given her a job to rescue bats from a gang of raiders. She and two friend, free lance griffons head out to deal with this.
