NASCAR: The Equestrian Cup
Equestrian Sweethearts: Atlanta and Homestead
Previous ChapterNext ChapterAs the camera for his show began rolling, Jimmy was unfortunate enough to already be in the middle of a crying towel moment.
"Oh *sniff* sorry, hello everyone and welcome back. I bet your wondering why all these crying towels are here? Simple, so much to be upset about. Teammates getting mad at each other, reoccuring mistakes, and some drivers just not understanding what air loose is. Now, I know what your thinking. How can I have so many of these towels lying around? Well I'll tell you. But first, I need to introduce you to someone. Our special guest, and my 'best friend', the driver of the #1 Ganassi Chevrolet Kurt Busch."
"Jimmy...is it nice to see you?"
"Why yes it is Kurt, and hey it's nice to see you racing for Ganassi like I did when I was your age. First team you won a race with since Penske. Took you long enough."
"That's real funny, hey why am I here?"
"Because, I thought you would like to talk about things that make me upset."
"Ok...what do we have?"
"Let's start with where we left off from at Phoenix. Heading into Atlanta there was some... let's say tension between a couple drivers. Let's go to the second stage, where we see a three way battle for a top ten spot."
"Oh yeah I remember that, it was a stupid move."
"For once I agree, Starlight certainly showing off the straight jacket I gave her and nearly taking out the #24 in the process. Viral was none to happy, and on the following restart expressed her anger by spinning her teammate. But let me tell you, she wasn't the only one to get mad at a teammate. May I introduce to you, our Sweetheart at Atlanta. One Lightning Dust."
"Oh come the (Expletive) on Dash. This isn't F1, podiums don't (Expletive) matter anymore! You got your damn win already!"
"Outside, bottom of three. Clear."
"That was very nice of you to give me some room for once ma'am."
"So you're telling me I've done everything right so far this race and we end up losing two spots on a pit stop to adjust the car and you somehow made it worse?"
"Do you want us to change it back?"
"Well if you can do it without dropping me 5 spots."
"Copy."
"Mad about the car, sounds just like you Kurt."
"I've gotten better about it."
"Yes, you have. However, there is someone who hasn't. We'll get to him later. But it was a great race, down to the final laps. Homestead however was a complete steal for the aforementioned driver of the #11. Of course, not before this."
Jimmy then played a clip of Rainbow's stage 2 crash and subsequent rant with full radio playback. He couldn't help but laugh.
"Hey Dash, get this. You have a perfect record when it comes to being directly involved in a crash. Daytona, contact with the #2 and cutting her tire. Vegas, last lap skirmish with the #22. Your spin at California, the mess you caused at Phoenix that woukd make Kenny Wallace smile. More contact at Atlanta that almost wrecked the #2...again. *Sniff* and now this! Dash! Damnit! This was not Dust's fault, if you want to blame someone...blame yourself. Cause that's your car!"
"There there Jimmy. Hey, I did get those clips you asked me for."
"You did?!"
"Yeah...all from Kyle."
"We'll I'll be damned, thanks Kurt. You know what this means right? Its time for a special moment. May I present to you for the first time ever. Kyle Busch, Radio Sweetheart."
"What the (Expletive man! God he's so stupid why is he leading?"
"Our cars suck. Gone from sixth to eleventh, cool! (Expletive) awesome."
"Left side, #00"
"(Expletive), they are so stupid. They don't even know to get out of the way when there's a guy on the bottom of them."
"I've got no short run speed, I've got no long run speed. This sucks."
"We (Expletive) Suck. Suck. Suck."
"On the splitter taking off?"
"You know it, (Expletive) pleasent"
"God it would be nice to have a faster car, I can't go anywhere. #10 just blew by us. (Expletive) on the bottom, I'm stuck on the bottom going backwards."
"I'm just a boat anchor. I'm just in the way. They go by top. They go by bottom. Just in the way."
As the highlights began to close Jimmy and Kurt shared a rare laugh together at the misfortune of the defending cup series champ.
