One day, in Twilight's castle. Twilight was sitting in her library reading different books about the kingdoms outside of Equestria. But she had already read every single book that currently existed about this topic, so she was bored.
Suddenly, she had an interesting thought, "Maybe there's something that exists outside of the kingdoms outside of Equestria.."
'Spike." She said
"Yeah, Twilight."
"I need you to send a message to Celestia. It's important."
"Okay. Ready." said Spike
"Celestia" began Twilight, "I was re-reading the books about the kingdoms that exist outside of the borders of Equestria when this thought came into my mind. We know about what exists in this part of Equus, but that is just a small bit of the world. Do you know what exists out there?"
Twilight Sparkle."
"Send it." said Twilight.
Spike blew on the letter with his fire breath, sending it to the Canterlot throne room.
5 minutes later, Spike burped out a response letter from Princess Celestia. The letter said, "Twilight, this is an interesting thought. However, neither myself nor Luna know about what exists out there because we have been too busy ruling Equestria to see. But, if you would like to see what is in the world, then I won't stop you. Whatever you find out there, remember to tell me, for I am just as interested as you.
Celestia."
"Alright, Spike." said Twilight, "I need you to send a message to Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie, Rainbow, Rarity, Starlight, and Trixie telling them to met us in the throne room. Tell Applejack and Rarity to bring their sisters and Rainbow to bring Scootaloo."
Not even 10 minutes later, everypony was there.
"Alright" said Twilight, "Now that you're all here, I can tell you why I wanted you to come. 15 minutes ago, I was reading about our neighboring kingdoms when I thought, what exists beyond the kingdoms. I sent a message to Celestia asking if she knew, but neither her nor Luna know. So I wanted to go on a journey to discover what lies in the rest of Equus, and I wanted all of you to come with me. That's why I sent the messages to you."
"Of course we're coming" said Rainbow dash, "This journey is going to be awesome, even without any of my tricks. Right, Scootaloo?"
"Obviously" said Scootaloo, "If Rainbow dash is going, I'm going."
"Of course Apple bloom and I will join you, Twi." Said Applejack
"I don't usually like going on adventures like this, but who knows if there are gems out there that make even the most rare and most beautiful gems in Equestria look dull, count me and Sweetie belle in."
"Ooh, maybe there are some rare creatures out there that nopony knows about. I'll come too"
"Do I even have to say a reason to come. I think that this will be the funnest journey ever."
"We'll also come Twilight." said Starlight, "But just remember that there will be many challenges that you can't overcome alone, Trixie."
"Well, obviously I know that Starlight."
"Great, now that everypony is coming with me and Spike, I'll let you go to pack for the journey. Remember, only necessities like food, mostly fruits and vegetables, and water."
"Got it" said everypony as they left the throne room.
Everypony packed what they needed for their journey, including food, water, sleeping bags, tents, and pillows. Even Rarity didn't pack anything else, and she knew that would get dirty on this journey.
2 hours later, the group was waiting by the train station to go to Canterlot so they could inform Princess Celestia that they were ready for their journey.
"12 tickets to Canterlot, please." said Twilight to the pony giving away tickets.
"That will be 60 bits." He said. "That's a lot of traveling gear, you ponies going on some kind of camping trip?"
"Actually" said Twilight, "We're going on a journey to explore the lands beyond our neighboring kingdoms. Not even Celestia and Luna have gone that far, ever."
"Wow." He said, "Well, I hope that your journey goes well."
"Thanks" said Twilight
Seconds later, the train pulled into the station. "All aboard for Canterlot" the conductor pony said.
Twilight and her friends boarded the train with all their gear and the train left the station
2.5 hours later, the train arrived in Canterlot and the group got off. They began walking towards Canterlot castle to meet Celestia before their journey began.
When they got to the castle, the guards let them inside. They knew about their accomplishments and how they saved Equestria more than once. They were able to get into the throne room without any trouble.
"Welcome" said Celestia, "I have been waiting for you to come since I sent you the letter. It seems like you decided to bring your friends with you on this journey."
"Yes" said Twilight, "It would be a lot more exciting if I invited them, though that isn't the main reason I decided to invite them. I invited them because we barely ever get to hang out because of our busy lives, and a journey like this would be the perfect excuse to have time together."
"Well then" said Celestia "I wish you luck on this journey. Farewell."
The group said goodbye to Celestia and exited the castle. They traveled to where most of the group had fallen down the waterfall during the Storm King's invasion. They began walking toward the path that had led them toward Kludgetown. Kludgetown would be where they would stop for the night. They had a friend who lived there that would let them stay and protect them from the other creatures there. And so began the journey that would take them all over Equus.
The group traveled for hours and hours through the desert that Kludgetown was in, but unlike last time, they had water with them. This made it easier for them because they weren't dehydrated.
Finally they found Kludgetown, they stopped for a bit so that Twilight could send a message to Capper saying that they were passing through and were hoping to stay at his house for the night. After the message was sent, the group began walking into the town. Not long after they walked through the gates, Capper appeared from the crowd and saw the ponies and dragon.
"Welcome back to Kludgetown, friends." he said. "I know your last visit here wasn't that great, but this time it will be better. No more trying to sell you without knowing. Pinkie promise."
"Great to see you again Capper" said Twilight. She turned to Starlight and Trixie and said, "This is Capper, we met him when we left to save Equestria from the Storm King."
Twilight turned back to Capper and said, "I assume that you got my letter. My friends and I are going on a journey across Equus and were hoping to rest at your house tonight. Would that be alright?"
Capper replied, "Of course. I'm sure that you've traveled a long way to get here. Follow me, and don't go wandering off. I remember once seeing somecreature wander away from his friends. Next thing I knew, he was in a cage being carried away, never saw him again."
The group quickly traveled through the busy streets of Kludgetown before arriving at Capper's house. They walked inside and took their gear off their backs, putting them in a pile.
By this time, It was very late. The group quickly fell asleep while Capper boarded up his house. Nocreature wanted to have their house unboarded at night in Kludgetown. Capper finished boarding up his house before going to bed himself.
The ponies and dragon had a long journey ahead of them, this was just the first day.
The next morning, after the group and Capper woke up, Capper made breakfast for his friends. They all thought that it was very tasty.
After they ate, the group began to pack up their things for the journey. It didn’t take very long because they didn’t unpack very many things that they brought with them. 5 minutes later, they were at the other edge of Kludgetown saying goodbye to Capper.
The group continued to walk through the desert, thankfully they refilled all their water bottles while at Capper's house. Eventually, they reached the edge of the desert and the beginning of the wilderness. They walked along a river flowing towards a pond for many miles. Soon, they reached the pond that the river led to and decided to rest for a bit. After an hour of resting, the group continued walking. They soon found a large fallen tree across the path. Instead of walking around it, the group gathered several rocks to make a staircase leading to the top. They also made one on the other side, in case they traveled this way again on their way back to Equestria.
By this time, it was very late. So the group set up their tents, got the necessary amount of stones and wood for a campfire, along with some logs to sit on, and just relaxed after their long day of traveling. After a half hour of talking, they crawling into their tents and fell asleep.
The next morning, after the group woke up, they had some fruit from the nearby fruit trees for breakfast. When their stomachs were full, they packed up their stuff and left their campsite.
Not long after they left, they found several large hills in front of them that they would have to walk over. They walked over the group of hills and decided to rest on the other side. While they were resting, they heard rustling in the bushes not very far from their location. Applejack and Rainbow instantly got into a defensive pose between their friends and the bushes.
The rustling continued for several seconds before a pony with bat wings walked out of the bush. Applejack and Rainbow almost tackled the pony, but were stopped by Twilight's magic.
Then Twilight walked up to the pony. "Excuse me." she said, "Who are you?"
The pony replied, "I'm Firedrain. I'm from the nearby Bat-pony village. Who are you?"
"I'm Princess Twilight sparkle" replied Twilight, "This is Applejack, Rainbow dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie pie, Rarity, Starlight Glimmer, Trixie Lulamoon, and Spike."
The rest of the group all greeted Firedrain.
"We all come from Equestria, and we're exploring what exists outside of our neighboring kingdoms."
"Well then" said Firedrain, "Let me show you bat-pony village, I'm sure that you'll like it."
The group followed Firedrain until they came to a clearing with several buildings and hundreds of bat-ponies flying/walking around.
"Welcome to bat-pony village." Said Firedrain, "There's a hotel for you to stay during your visit, several restaurants with delicious food, a library, a bowling alley, and a spa."
"A SPA!" yelled Rarity, getting close to Firedrain's face, "Where is it?"
"Uh, it's just down the path, third building on the left. Now could you please not be so close."
"Oh, apologies" said Rarity.
The group walked into the town with Firedrain until they got to the hotel. They walked inside and up to the front desk.
"Excuse me." said Twilight, "My friends and I are visiting bat-pony village and are hoping to have three hotel rooms for us. Do you take bits?"
"Bits? No, we don't take bits, we take coins."
"Oh. We don't have any coins. Thanks anyway." Twilight said before she and friends turned around to head to the door
"Wait" said the bat-pony, causing the group to stop, "You said that you were visiting, right?"
"Yes" said Twilight, now back at the front desk.
"Where on Equus is your homeland?"
"Our homeland is the country of Equestria. We are just passing through, we'll only be here one night."
"Equestria? I've never heard of Equestria."
"Really? Well, we're traveling across Equus to discover what exists beyond our neighboring kingdoms. Bits are the main currency there."
"I guess I could let you stay. But first, what are your names?"
"I'm Twilight sparkle, and I'm one of the four Princesses in Equestria. The orange pony is Applejack, the light-blue pony is Rainbow dash, the first pink pony is Pinkie pie, the white pony is Rarity, the yellow pony is Fluttershy, the other pinkish pony is Starlight, the other blue pony is Trixie, and the dragon is Spike."
"You're a princess!?" the bat-pony said before bowing.
"Please" said Twilight, "I prefer to not have ponies or other creatures bow to me."
"Oh, apologies Princess" said the bat-pony, "My name is Frost, by the way. This way to the room."
"Thank you Frost" said Twilight, "I'll be sure to return with more friends after our journey."
"That would be appreciated, Princess Twilight."
After leaving the Bat-pony village hotel, the group went off to try out some activities in the town. Rarity and Sweetie belle went to the spa, Fluttershy visited the animal shelter, Twilight and Spike went to the library, Starlight and Trixie practiced magic and put on a show for the village, Rainbow and Scootaloo, along with 3 bat-ponies, successfully got Scootaloo flying without help, Pinkie threw a large party, and Applejack and Apple bloom chilled by the pond.
After they all finished their activities, the group went to the village's bowling alley to play a few games before going back to the hotel. They divided the group into three teams competing against each other. One team was the CMCs and Spike, the second was Pinkie, Rarity, Applejack, and Fluttershy, and the last team was Twilight, Rainbow, Starlight, and Trixie.
Twilight's team ended up winning the game. Then the group went back to their hotel rooms and went to bed.
The next morning, the group started hearing snoring. They woke up and found Discord sleeping on a floating bed in the middle of the room.
"Discord?!" yelled everypony and Spike
"Oh, hello everypony," said Discord, waking up, "I was just heading to Fluttershy's for tea, but she wasn't home. So I used a special tracker to find out where she was. And it showed me her exact location, so I snapped myself here. Now, explain to me what exactly you are doing outside of the neighboring kingdoms."
"It's a long story, Discord,"
"Yeah, and it only took three chapters to get to this point." said Pinkie, confusing almost everycreature else in the room.
"Anyway." said Discord, "I'd like to come with you, but my cloud selling business that I started after getting a visit from myself in a different dimension has been booming. But I'll be coming to see you every so often. Later ponies." Then he snapped himself away.
When Discord left, the group began to prepare to leave and continue their journey. The mayor of Bat-pony Village had told them that 50 miles from the village was a forest where animals were able to change their size and was ruled by the largest of them all, a spiderfly 500 times the size of a full-grown hydra.
After saying goodbye to the bat-ponies, which were all gathered, the group left the village and headed into the woods. As they were walking, they didn't notice that everything was slowly getting larger until even the grass was like a forest. They continued walking until they came to a glowing river. They were very thirsty so they decided to drink from it.
After they finished drinking, the group all felt something gurgling in their stomachs. Soon, they began to grow until they were 60 times their size.
"What just happened?" Asked Rainbow
"I think that something in the water caused us get bigger." Said Twilight, "Anyway, we should keep going, who knows what dangers are in this forest."
As the group kept walking, they didn't notice that they were being watched.

As the group was walking through the forest, the passed over a hill to find a giant lake with thousands of different animals walking/flying around.
"Wow" said Rainbow
"I never thought that something as beautiful as this was a real place." said Rarity
"Enjoying the view?" said a voice behind them.
They all turned and saw two ants 2 times their size, 4 wasps 10 times their size, and a spider butterfly hybrid 50 times their size.
"Don't be alarmed. I was watching you since you entered this forest. I only have to ask you three things."
"Um, OK. What do you need to know?"
"Who are you?"
"I'm Princess Twilight Sparkle and these are my friends, Applejack and her sister, Apple bloom, Rarity and her sister, Sweetie belle, Rainbow dash and her sister Scootaloo, Fluttershy, Pinkie pie, Starlight, Trixie, and my little brother, Spike."
"Where is your homeland?" asked the Spiderfly
"We all come from the kingdom of Equestria. Our home is a small village called Ponyville."
"What have you come to this forest seeking?"
"We are going on a journey across Equus to discover what lies outside of the borders of Equestria's neighboring kingdoms. We have no intentions of stealing anything."
"Well then, my name is Queen Tarantula, and this is the Forest of giants. Anycreature who drinks from the 5 streams gain the permanent ability to change their size. Now, allow me to show you the castle."
The group followed Queen Tarantula back to her castle. When they got to the throne room of the castle, there were thousands of spiderfly eggs everywhere. (Spiderflies don't gain the size change ability from birth.) They were about to hatch from the eggs.
"Oh, my." said Fluttershy, "That's a lot of spiderfly eggs."
"Yes." said Tarantula, "Spiderflies, like all creatures, aren't born with the size changing ability. They have to drink the water of the forest first."
"I really wish that I could have one, but Queen Tarantula would never let me take one." Said Fluttershy quietly. She didn't realize that Tarantula had heard her and was going to give her one of the eggs.
Soon, the group had to leave to continue their journey. They had a blast hanging out with the creatures in the forest, but it was getting late.
"It was fun exploring the forest, Queen Tarantula, but we have to go." said Twilight
"Oh, but it's so late." Said Queen Tarantula, "If you want, I will have one of the rooms in the castle prepared for you and you friends."
"That does sound good, and it is late. Alright Queen Tarantula, we'll stay overnight."
"I'll have my servants prepare the second best room in the castle. Tomorrow, I have gifts to give to all your friends."
While Queen Tarantula was preparing the room for the group, Twilight informed her friends that they were staying overnight in the forest. 15 minutes later, the room was ready and the adventurers went back to the castle to go bed for the night.
The next morning, Queen Tarantula was saying farewell to the adventurers and was about to give them the gifts she promised.
"It was nice having guests." said Queen Tarantula, "Before you go, I have gifts to give to you for your journey."
She reached into a bag that one of the caterpillars had on it's back.
"To Rainbow dash, I give the rainbow wing blades. These will help you fly 3 times faster than their fastest speed."
"To Applejack, I give rainbow boots of strength. These boots will make you 45 times stronger than the strongest creature on the planet."
"To Pinkie pie, I give the rainbow invisibility mask. This will help with sneaking through dangerous places on Equus."
"To Rarity, I give the rainbow jewel of protection. It will fuse with your body and create unbreakable rainbow forcefields around you and your friends, separated or together."
"To Starlight, I give the rainbow magic enhancer. This will make your magic 200 times stronger."
"To Trixie, I give the rainbow bombs of destruction. One bomb will create any disaster you think of to unleash on your enemies. They also reproduce after exploding."
"To Apple bloom, I give the endless supply of growth fruit in the rainbow bottomless bag. These will give whoever eats one the same power you got after drinking the stream."
"To Sweetie belle, I give the rainbow horn. This will fuse with your horn and will shoot rainbow beams from it."
"To Scootaloo, I give the wing growth serum. This will make your wings grow even larger than the largest dragon and make your wings turn rainbow
"To Princess Twilight, I give the rainbow Crown of illusion. This will create an illusion from nothing."
"To Spike, I give the rainbow phoenix gem. Eat it, and you will be able to create phoenixes from rainbow fire
"And to Fluttershy, I give a spiderfly egg."
"And for all of you, I give several sets of indestructible rainbow armor. Each has a custom design for who it's for. Now good luck on your adventure, ERW."
"Goodbye Queen Tarantula. Thank you for all the gifts, we will be sure to return."
When the Rainbow Warriors reached the edge of the forest, they found themselves on a large cliff overlooking a ocean. Above the ocean was a giant floating city
Twilight used her illusion powers to create a large sign in the sky letting whoever was on that city that they wanted to come on.
Meanwhile, in the outskirts of the city, three guards were looking out at the sky for any airships approaching the city. One was a griffon, one was a pegasus, and the third was a changeling. They were looking when the sign appeared above the cliff in front of them.
"Do you see that?" Asked the griffon.
"Yeah" said the changeling and the pegasus together. "We should go check it out."
When the Warriors saw the three flying towards them, they put on their armor and got out their weapons. They didn't know if the creatures flying towards them were hostile or not, specifically the changeling.
The creatures saw their rainbow armor shining in the sunlight and landed on the cliff they were on.
"Who are you?" Asked the changeling
"We are the Rainbow Warriors from Equestria. I'm Princess Twilight Sparkle, and these are my friends. We were hoping that you could give us a ride up to your city and show us around."
"Of course Princess Twilight." Said the changeling. The Warriors flinched when he spoke.
"Apologies, um."
"Oh, Sky Shifter." said Sky Shifter.
"Sky Shifter. I apologize for our weird behavior. We don't really have a very good history with changelings that look like you."
Sky Shifter looked at his black holey legs and pale wings before looking back at them. "What exactly did the changelings do that made you not have a good history with them? If you don't mind me asking."
"No worries." Said Twilight, "Anyway, the changelings tried to take over our home kingdom twice, captured my friends and I rulers of Equestria and the Crystal Empire once, but most were turned good, then the former queen of the changelings, Chrysalis, teamed up with two other villains to take over Equestria again."
"That does sound terrible. But I'm not like those other changelings, and none of the changelings living here are either."
"That's good. Anyway, back to getting up to the floating city." Said Twilight
"Of course. I'll call a transport, seeing that not all of you can fly." Said Sky Shifter
Sky Shifter called the transport and it arrived minutes later. The Rainbow Warriors boarded the transport to be taken up to the city, which was called Skytopia.
When the Warriors left the transport, there were griffons waiting to greet them at the gate to the city. The griffons welcomed them to Skytopia. There was also a pegasus tour guide that gave tours of Skytopia. Twilight and her friends paid for the tour and were shown the layout of Skytopia.
The last thing they saw was the main building in the city. It was a mayor's office the size of a mansion. The mayor was informed of the guests in Skytopia and came out to greet the Warriors.
"Welcome to Skytopia." Said the mayor, who was a pegasus. "I hope you enjoy your time here in our city."
"Thank you. But we shouldn't stay too long."
"And why is that?" He asked
"We are currently exploring Equus and bringing information about the places we visit back to Equestria. Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Princess Twilight Sparkle and these are my friends. Together, we're the Rainbow Warriors."
"Oh" Said the mayor, "At least let us make you a airship to use for your journey. I insist."
"Perfect. This will make the journey a lot easier."
"Great. Now, what will the design for the airship be?"
"The airship should be rainbow colored with all our cutie marks inside a large rainbow circle on the mast. It should have 10 cannons on each side and a mechanism to shoot fire from the front, which will look like a dragon's head. The dragon's head will be gold with fiery colored spikes. It will also have a green and blue wheel to steer the airship. It will be 45 feet long, 35 feet wide, and have 4 floors with 15 rooms on each floor. It will also have a anchor shaped like a large diamond and a fold-up ramp for when we land the airship"
"We'll get started on the airship while you check out Skytopia, and I'll alert you when it's ready."
"Thank you for this." Replied Twilight.
A few hours later, the airship was ready and the Warriors were boarding their airship, which was named The Rainbow Jewel.
"Goodbye everycreature." Said Twilight. "We will return again. Rainbow, untie the mast."
Rainbow Dash flew up and untied the mast, letting it drop. Then she tied it to the two poles on each side of it.
The Rainbow Jewel took off from Skytopia, Spike at the wheel steering the airship. Before long, the Rainbow Jewel was soaring through the clouds
