"Unnamed female hippogriff 8" deserves a backstory and a name, and in this story she becomes talented artist Featherflit. Along with her sister Flylight ("Unnamed female hippogriff 7"), and her friends Sky Beak, Ocean Breeze, Stratus Skywalker and Seaspray, she must navigate the horrors bought down upon Mount Aris by the wrath of the Storm King. How will Featherflit cope, torn away from her paints and her beloved sky, trapped underwater in the catacombs beneath the palace? Will Queen Novo's well-intentioned, iron-fisted rule survive the entombment she has been forced to impose on her subjects? How long will they all be trapped down there? How long can they bear it?

This story started as an entry in the Ponyfest Online 3.0 Iron Author contest. The first chapter and start of the second were written in 2 hours for the contest, and with a bit of editing, I'm now adapting the idea into a longer fanfic.
