The Trials (Main) One Chapter - The Book
Chapter I – The Book
Twilight Sparkle woke up from her restful somber by a stabbing pain at her horn.
“Ouch!” She shouted aloud with a pain-filled inhale as she touched the sharp end of her horn. She was surprised to feel a smooth and warm surface instead of its tip.
“Did why someone broke and then smoothed my horn down? She asked out of shock that someone did this to her. She didn’t know anyone that would want to harm her. Luckily for her, unicorns would steadily grow their horns back over time.
“Where am I?” Sparkle inquired, realizing that she was in some else's bed and started to look around her surroundings. She noticed she was in a small room with a single ceiling light bulb. Its lighting was very dim and only allowed her to see a few feet in front of her. She saw two massively bookshelves that were filled with varying kinds of books. They were against each other to form a tiny archive. An illuminating light shined through every crack in them.
“That light might be my exit to get out of this room. It may be lead me to who did put me in this room and filed my horn down. Then I’ll get the Royal Guard to get after them asap.” Twilight said irritatedly to herself before leaping off from the bed. After a single second later, she regretted jumping down on the floor. A lot of broken crystal shards pierced and lacerated the bottoms of her hooves.
“Ahhhhhh!” She cried out of agony as she brought her right hoof to her face. Then she looked around and found out that gem pieces were everywhere expect stone walls. “Did they place gem shards on the floor to hurt me? If so, they’re racking up an additional charge to them.”
She looked around for something to protect her hoofs against broken crystal pieces. Unfortunately, she didn’t find anything that would help her with her situation. Even the bed just had a bare mattress on its frame. Sparkle looked towards bookshelves and noticed that the area around them was clear of any gem would hurt her. After a few minutes to prepare for her agonizing wàlk to her maybe freedom, she put one of her forelegs on the floor. It immediately met by a loud crack and slicing pain in her hoof.
“Aaarrrgggggggg!” She moaned with a painful expression before trying to brace herself for the rest of the walk to shelves. Every step she took, they felt like a lot of sharp nails that pierced all of her hooves. Gem shards slowly went deeper and broke into smaller pieces in her feet every time she stepped. The pain made clear to Twilight that she was alive. She finally made it to bookshelves and sighed of relief. There was a trial of her blood and bloody smashed crystal behind her. She was a relief to finally made it to the bookshelves were at. She didn’t want to look at the bottom of her hooves due to her mind grimly painted a gruesome picture for her. Her best description of the image, It was a very scattered and bloody crystal pony's hoof.
“Poor books are destroyed by mold and terrible bookkeeping skills. I can’t save them.” Twilight said with a sad expression as the condition of books pulled on her heartstrings. The bookshelves were cracked and would collapse any second, A light shined through their cracks and made her wonder what was creating it. The shelves were only things that blocked her from going further. There was no option to go around them. Unfortunately, her only option was through them by damaging more or destroying them. She tried to read the books' titles and covers, but they were scratched off.
“I don’t want to do this… But, I have no other choice…” Sparkle told herself with a hesitation in her voice before raising one of her hindlegs to aim at the bookshelves' weakest part. After a few seconds of delay, she unleashed a powerful kíck and cracked the bottom half of them. She heard a cracking sound, and shelves collapsed on her. After a couple of moments later, she broke through the debris without being hurt. She inhaled a big gup of air and accidentally breathed in some mold spores. They made her have a nasty coughing fig that lasted a short while.
“What is that kind of book be here! This portal is my way out from here. Thanks, Celestia.” Twilight stated with a hopeful tone in her voice, trotting up to them. The gateway has a black whirling outline and showed her comfy bed to her. The book looked to be crafted with varying exotic materials. It was closed and laid on a stone book stand that was craved to look a book with sharp teeth. It was unsettling to her due to she didn’t understand why it was the one thing that was kept in mint condition in the room. It got her curiosity to want to read it.
“Just a little quick peek before I get out from here.” She exclaimed with a curious expression as she walked to the stand. Then she gently opened the book with her muzzle as she guessed in her mind what it was. Sparkle imagined it was full of her capturer's past victims' names or something like that. However, she didn’t inspect that it was empty.
“Empty? Why it i…” She asked out of confusion as she felt something breathe right behind her. Before she would look behind her, her head was forcibly smashed against the book. The impact caused her to lose consciousness. Its pages absorbed her blood from her broken muzzle
“Twilight Sparkle, do you ever hear this expression 'the curiosity will kill the cat’s?” A shadowy human with red six eyes asked humorous, grabbing a serrated blade out of a small portal. Then he sliced open his right hand's palm and squeezed out some of his black blood .
“it is the start of your new life as a living nightmare, Twilight Sparkle.,” He stated with a mischievous smile as he let his blood drip onto the top of her forehead. Her fur absorbed his blood into it.
The book began to swallow her like a pill as his wound completely healed itself. The skinny human-made the progress to go faster by pushing her body into the book. After a few moments later, all of her body except a tiny part of her tail stuck out of it. His arms ached from moving her body. His arms swollen up and exploded in gruesome fireworks. His blood and bone splitters went everywhere in the room before vanishing from existence. His healing factor regrew his limbs in a couple of seconds; however, now, he was exhausted from this body breakdown .
The black hole human hybrid slowly collapsed to the floor and started to cry from the absurdly amount of pain. Soon as exactly one second passed by, a glowing crimson mane, fins, and eyed alicorn shark mare came out of a portal.
“Sweetie, I’m here, sssshhhhhhh.” She comforted her husband as best as she can, pulling out a syringe that was full of hypnotics from a small portal. Then she injected its payload into his neck. He flinched a tiny bit from his shot. The potent sleeping drug mixture quickly made him sleepy. The black hole and human hybrid instinctively transformed into a smaller version of himself before felling to sleep in her embrace. The black shark mare smiled from knowing that her sweetie finally was not in any pain now. Then she moved him onto her back.
“Okay, now, I just need to move Twilight Sparkle to her new home.” She said out of loud while looking at new transformed Twilight Sparkle. Now, Twilight was a mimic pony that would not remember her past life as a mortal. Now, her hind legs and tail were replaced by the book. The shark pony alicorn closed the portal that led to Twilight's old bedroom and opened up a new one to her new home. Then she moved the mimic pony to its bed and covered it up with a couple of blankets.
“Honey, you earned ta bubble bath of cuddles with me from your hard work.” The shark pony exclaimed with a warm expression before closing the portal. Her husband did not hear her due to he was in his hebetate mode. She teleported herself and him to their palace.
