Author's Note
This is very short and sweet story. I hope you all enjoy it. I do love comments so feel free to leave them.
The Only Warmth You Need
The twisting knot in your stomach won’t go away. You been dating her for a while now. It has even gone public for better or worse. The one human in Equestria dating the princess of the sun. You thought it would be more of a scandal for the papers but, no one seem to cause a fuss about it. Twilight was delighted for you both or at least she seemed to be.
The reason for the knot was coming up soon. You could see the marble door to her room beginning to open. You have never been in her room before. You have never slept the night in her bed. She asked you if you wanted too and…of course you leaped at the chance but, you have not even gone passed anything but, kissing with the mare.
She was right beside you though…maybe she can feel you are nervous because she brushes against your side. Then gives you a gentle and warm kiss on the cheek. You look over at her into those beautiful eyes of hers and everything melts away. She tilted her head a little. You rub the back of your neck as the warmth of redness takes your cheeks.
“Don’t worry. I am here. I know…it’s new for us but, I want spend my night with you.” She says as she entered the room.
You follow her in. You watch as she begins to take off the pieces of her armor even her crown. She then shakes out her mane and as she does it transforms into a more natural looking mane. It drapes over one of her eyes and she looks at you. Your heart beats fast again. You can hear it in your ears. She starts to stretch her frame out. Shaking out even her tail. She looks more like normal mare now only bigger and with a rainbow mane.
“Do I look strange like this?” She asks.
“N-no I just never seen you like this….I just. You’re….stunning.” You utter that out weakly.
She chuckles heading over to you. You know what she wants without even having to ask. Ooo no. You weren't good at this part or that is at least how you feel about the subject. Yet she closes her eyes and pushes her lips together. You lean down slightly to kiss her running your fingers through her fur holding the side of her face. She is soft…always she is soft.
When your lips meet it still like the first time you kissed her. Her lips were warm. You feel a numbness in your legs and she pulls away. Another chuckle escapes her lips. “So honest…I think that's why I fell for you. Even knowing my status…you were never fake in front of me. You always emit your feelings.” Her eyes sparkled with those words.
“I am not a good liar and….I really liked you.” You let those words hang out for a moment.
You didn’t know what came next. Did she want to….you weren't against that but, you weren’t sure what the night would bring. You see her brush out her mane and then her tail. You feel that knot again. You feel your palms start to sweat. You look down at the floor. Your mind is racing. What if you didn’t perform well? What if you didn’t meet her needs? You feel static creeping into your mind. Your breathing becomes shallow.
That is when you feel her hoof against your hand. You focus again looking at her. “I am here.” She says. You feel your hand shaking. She smiles at you. “I want to enjoy these moments with you. I want to experience them one by one. We don’t have to go far tonight. I just want to feel your embrace as we sleep. Ease your mind.” You let out a sigh. You feel better but, also feel horrible that again you made her worry.
You lean your forehead against her. She leads you over to the bed. She climbs into it. You can finally see it….she looks exhausted. Maybe it was just a rough day for her. You weren't here to see how it played out. She was basically the queen of a country. You watch as she gets comfortable on the bed now facing towards you spread out. A beautiful image for your mind that you make sure to save.
Yet you are confused by something. She doesn’t have a blanket on her bed. Just the silk sheets under her. She notices your confusion and just looks at you. One of her wings lifts up. It is inviting you to join her. Her half raised eye looks towards you. “You don’t need blanket with me.” Those words purred out of her throat.
You shiver a little at the thought of your next move but, your body betrays you and climbs into the bed. The sheets are soft…fit for a royal yet, you don’t really feel them anymore as you find the wing wrapping around you pulling you into her frame. Her hooves part for you. You rest your head against her chest and feels like her whole body engulfs you.
You never felt her like this before. This dull warmth. You never heard her heart beat…it’s a little fast. You listen to it and wrap your arms around her. The feeling of her fur is something you couldn’t describe to others even if you tried. Softer than any pillow. She has a sweet scent about her as well. A relaxing scent that you always take in when you get to embrace her.
You begin to look up at her and you find that she is already…out cold. She’s cute like this. Yet the real problem is that she has you in an iron grip. Coiling around your body as if she will never let you go. You feel comforted by this fact. You feel…safe in this embrace. You kiss her chest and snuggle back in. She doesn’t wake and realize that you were really worried for nothing.
You never felt so sleepy before. You usually had trouble sleeping yet you find your eyes growing heavy. Ah so this….what it feels like…..what feels like to….
