Wibbly, Wobbly, Lovey-Dovey
It was another beautiful day in Ponyville. The sky was clear and sunny. The birds singing, small roads and streets filled with ponies. Meanwhile though, three fillies, also known as the Cutie Mark Crusaders, weren't taking the day very nice. After that accident yesterday with the Love Potion and Hearts and Hooves day, Applebloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle, had to do work at Sweet Apple Acres for Big Macintosh, Applebloom's older brother.
They were trotting down a path in the orchard.
When they were halfway there, Scootaloo spoke up "You know... I'm so glad Hearts and Hooves day is over." she said putting emphasis on 'so' and 'over'.
She earned a nod of agreement from the two with her.
"Potion making and Match Making definitely aren't our special talents." Said Sweetie Belle.
"Ah'm glad it isn't though," Applebloom said with her southern accent. "Ah don't wanna see Big Mac sayin' all those things like 'Schmoopy-" A hoof covering her mouth cut her off.
"Please don't remind us, Applebloom." Scootaloo said, being the one who covered Applebloom's mouth. After Applebloom nodded, Scootaloo removed her hoof and Applebloom wiped her mouth.
The three got to their destination along the path, their tree house or their CMC Base and went inside.
"So what should we start doing today for our cutie marks?" Scootaloo said. The change in subject was sudden but made sense and changed the moods of the three.
"How 'bout Cutie Mark Crusader... Pet take-care-ers?" Said Applebloom "Ya know, maybe with Wynona and Opalescence?".
Sweetie Belle shook her head "I don't think that's a good idea. Especially if it's Opalescence." she said.
Scootaloo kept thinking "Cutie Mark Crusader... Teachers? Like Miss Cheerilee?".
"No Ah don't think we should talk to Miss Cheerilee for now." Said Applebloom " she might as well be still mad 'bout that love potion, love poison, stuff with Big Mac."
"Point Taken." Scootaloo sighed.
"Cutie Mark Crusader Book Returners." Said Sweetie Belle.
"What?" Scootaloo's face got bored and confused "That sounds kind of lame, Sweetie Belle."
"Yeah where'd you get that from?" asked Applebloom.
Sweetie Belle, who was at their table, picked up a familiar book with her mouth and put it on the ground in front of her two friends to see.
"We still have this book from Twilight. We better return it soon." Sweetie Belle explained.
Scootaloo picked up the book and put it in her saddle bag and put the saddle bag on. "Let's return it now. I don't want to do anything with love potions for a long time."
So the three ran out of their treehouse and through the orchard to town.
As the three got there and headed to the library they kept chatting what they would do after they returned the book to Twilight.
"Cutie Mark Crusader sandwich chefs?" Asked Sweetie Belle.
"No.. How 'bout Cutie Mark Crusader Contest judges?" Asked Applebloom.
"There's not even any contests for a long time though." Said Scootaloo.
Their conversation kept on until another voice interrupted them.
"LOOK OUT BEELOOWWW!!" shouted a hidden pony.
The CMC looked around for the voice only to be crashed into by a gray pegasus. The CMC flew and landed randomly on the path along with the pegasus.
Books and magazines were scattered all over the place along with battered and open boxes.
"Ow..Cutie Mark Crusader Crash Dummies.." Groaned Scootaloo who was covered with books.
Applebloom somehow landed right beside the pegasus upside down and Sweetie Belle was near Scootaloo also upside down. Soon the pegasus pony stood up shaking herself off and throwing Applebloom on the ground too.
"Oww sorry about those girls." She said opening her eyes showing her crossed-eyes. "You see I was going that way and then there was this roof and I tried to get away from it but then I didn't see you and crashed here instead"
Sweetie Belle got up and looked at the pegasus trying to see who it was. "Derpy?" she said looking at the clumsy mail mare who had crashed into them causing boxes of books that are supposedly deliveries to fall and scatter. "I guess it's alright.."
Derpy was quickly gathering all the fallen books and magazines putting them in the boxes like nothing happened.
"Again I'm so sorry I was in such a hurry and I didn't want to crash into another house so.."
The three fillies now on their hooves said all at once "It's alright Derpy."
Derpy, now getting the idea, thanked them and flew off.
Now with Derpy gone, the three fillies were by themselves once more.
Scootaloo picked up her fallen saddle bag only to find out that it was lighter than it should be. "Oh no!"
Applebloom and Sweetie Belle quickly turned to their pegasus friend saying in unison. "What?!"
"The Hearts and Hooves day book! It's gone!" She shouted, "It's not in my bag or anywhere on the ground!".
Applebloom quickly pointed her hoof to the direction Derpy went "Derpy must've picked it up with those other books she was carryin'!".
"On no, somepony might get that book in their mail!" Shouted Sweetie Belle "We better find her quick before it gets in the wrong hooves, again!"
With that, the three fillies set off to the direction they saw Derpy go on their new quest. To stop somepony from reading how to make a love potion that they know too well the consequences.
Meanwhile in the sky, the gray mail mare carrying two boxes was flying towards her house in a hurry.
"I'm so glad these are just my books, or I would get an angry pony shouting at me for getting some of the books dirty" she said to herself.
Once she got to her house she opened the door and got in, setting the boxes down and opening them up again to check what condition they are in.
Only a few scratches and bent pages, nothing that torn and ripped.
Derpy then took the books out to place them in her shelves in her living room.
Derpy usually doesn't read much because of her eye condition but that doesn't mean she doesn't read at all.
The reason why Derpy was in a hurry was to meet up with a pony she met a few weeks ago who goes by the name "The Doctor". Of coarse he insists he's not really a pony. Derpy had to believe him though when he took her on these adventures through time and space with this blue box which seemed almost impossible. As impossible and weird he is, Derpy had grown a few feeling for this stallion. He was silly and random most of the time but he can be brave too.Strange stallion or not, she has lost count how much time he saved her. From aliens or a big mistake at work.
Although she has feeling for him, he doesn't seem to have any for her. He doesn't show it at least, if you don't count being saved by living statues or robots and other aliens.
Yesterday for for Hearts and Hooves day, the Doctor and Derpy simply walked around together around Ponyville. The Doctor didn't know what Hearts and Hooves day was so Derpy had to explain. It was kind of disappointing when he didn't ask Derpy to be his "special somepony" or anything close to that. Derpy didn't ask either, mostly because she was kind of shy about that subject.
Derpy had about 3 books left to put in their case. She picked one up and looked at it closely, focusing her eyes.
'This book wasn't in the box before, was it?' she thought to herself.
She quickly opened the book and flipped through the pages and stopped at a certain page that caught her eye.
"Love Potion?"
Author's Note: I never wrote a story for a while and this is my first about my little pony so sorry about run-on sentences and other things that might not make sense. Please leave a comment though, I would really like to know how well I did and what I can do to improve.
