Detective Hot Spot enjoys a simple life in Canterlot, investigating brutal assaults and horrific deaths. One day, he is dispatched to a small town to the west in order to help investigate a series of deaths which appear to have no cause. At the same time, a mysterious plague is causing the young and elderly to fall ill and perish as well. Determined that the two must be related somehow, Hot Spot will discover some unpleasant ideas concerning the value of a life.

This is my first story and I appreciate any and all feedback, especially grammatical corrections and phrasing improvements. That being said, please enjoy what I have to offer.
