Rainbow Dark

      Rainbow Dash spent the entire night planning out what she would do in her first evil attempt. She had meant everything she said to Twilight and she was determined to bring her down. Rainbow created her own costume, which looked like a wonder bolt costume, but black instead of blue. She also learned that the evil inside of her was actually something that stayed when Discord had taken away her Element of Harmony. She had the ability to absorb dark energy and use it to her advantage.

    “I will have revenge on Twilight…and anypony who stands in my way.”

She also had noticed how Spike had taken up the occupation as Twilight’s sidekick. I’ll need a sidekick too, to help me confront Twilight, she thought. Rainbow started thinking about all the people who still thought she was cool, there was…well there wasn’t anypony. She had told the entire town about her change of heart and nopony stood beside her. “There must be somepony who would be willing to aid me in combat against Twilight and Spike.” Then a thought came to her mind, the filly known as Scootaloo. She had been the president of Rainbow’s fan club and when the fan club changed to adoring the Mare Do Well, she quit the club. “She might be a good sidekick to me, if she has any combat ability.”

     Rainbow Dash thought of a good villain name and flew to the clubhouse. When she got there she found it had been poorly fortified. Mostly likely to keep me out, she thought. She easily flew over the tiny  fence and silently floated over to the window. When she looked inside she saw Applebloom at the pedestal talking about Twilight’s latest heroic act. Something about saving Fluttershy’s bunny. She looked around the room and spotted Scootaloo in the corner. She looked rather sad and held a poster of Rainbow Dash in her mouth.

    She dropped the poster and looked at Applebloom. “Could we at least keep some of the Rainbow Dash posters up?”

   Applebloom looked at Scootaloo sadly and shook her head. “She isn’t a good pony anymore…we don’t want the townsponies to think that we still like her.”

She waved her hoof like she was dismissing Scootaloo. Rainbow Dash couldn’t stand this. She walked up to the door of the clubhouse and, using her new found dark powers, she blasted the door off its hinges. It missed all the ponies and landed next to Applebloom’s pedestal, and she screamed. “It’s Rainbow Dash! Run!”

   None of them could run since Rainbow was blocking the doorway. Using her newly made up name, she spoke to the ponies. “I, Rainbow Dark, have come to find a sidekick to aid me against Twi- I mean…the Mare Do Well.”

    All the fillies just looked at her like she was crazy, then Applebloom spoke up. “Nopony would help you! You’re a terrible pony Rainbow Dash!”

    Irritated, Rainbow Dark looked at Applebloom and pinned her against the wall with her powers and looked at Scootaloo. “I know you still have some loyalty to me, Scootaloo.  I would appreciate it if you were to accompany me to fight Twilight in future time.”

   Scootaloo’s eyes went wide and she looked at Rainbow Dark. “You…you would really let me be your sidekick?”

    “It would be…awesome for you to accompany me, Scootaloo.” Rainbow Dark looked at all the scared fillies around the clubhouse and said “You will not be harmed, I am only here to recruit a sidekick. There is no reason for any of you to be frightened, mostly.” This didn’t seem to comfort any of the ponies. Rainbow Dark just looked at Scootaloo again, waiting for an answer.

    “I…I will be your sidekick, as long as you make me a costume as awesome as yours!” Every other pony in the room, save Rainbow Dark, looked at Scootaloo with a look of pure horror.

     One of the ponies spoke up, “How could you say that Scootaloo?!” “Rainbow Dash is evil now, she hurts ponies!”

    Scootaloo merely looked at the colt who had spoken up, “I don’t care…she is still awesome and  my number one role model. So I might as well start being evil too.” Scootaloo approached the colt  and looked him square in the eye. To much to bear, the poor foal fainted.

   Rainbow Dark watched in delight and then spoke up, “You are getting used to being evil quickly, that was hilarious!” The two shared a horrible laugh and Scootaloo hopped on Rainbow’s back and they sped off in the direction of Rainbow’s home.

Rainbow Dark and Scootaloo watched as the residents of Cloudsdale fled in fear. They both had spent the night frightening pegasi and showing off Rainbow Dark's new power. Scootaloo still hadn’t made up an evil enough name, but her costume was completed. It looked like a miniature version of Rainbow’s except it had lightning bolts down the side that read, “Partner”.

   “Wow Scootaloo, I haven’t had this much fun since I first preformed the Sonic Rainboom!” Rainbow Dark let out a long series of evil laughing, in which Scootaloo attempted to copy, but only got out a few normal laughs.

    “We can work on your laugh once we conquer the rest of Cloudsdale.”

      Scootaloo looked up at Rainbow Dark and smiled.

    “Yea, it could use some work.” Scootaloo looked down at a nearby house of clouds and fired a bolt of dark energy, destroying the house immediately and making several ponies flee in terror.

    “That is hilarious!” “They run from anything!” Rainbow fired a massive ball of dark pony power at the castle of Cloudsdale, sending cloud everywhere and making the remaining pegusi flee for safety.

   “Well I guess we own Cloudsdale now, I was hoping for a tougher challenge.” Just as she finished the sentence, a hot air balloon floated up in front of them and Twilight Sparkle hopped out. She was then followed by Spike, who’s costume was just a full body cloak with a few runic designs across it.

   Twilight spoke up first. “I can’t believe you would do something like this, Rainbow Dash.”

    Rainbow Dark looked quite irritated, and then yelled, “MY NAME IS RAINBOW DARK!”

    Her response was only met with a spark of magic hitting her in the stomach, pushing her back a few inches. “Aah!” Rainbow Dark looked up and said, “You aren’t the only one who has magical abilities anymore, Twilight.” At this, she fired a bolt of dark electricity at Twilight, who teleported away. The dark energy hit the balloon, sending it down to Equestria.

    “Hey!” “That was our only way back down!” Twilight said when she reappeared.

    Rainbow Dark laughed and looked at Twilight, “Do I look like I care?” “That just means you will be easier to defeat now that you have no way to back out of the fight.”

    Twilight seemed to realize this and quickly picked up a nearby rope from the balloon with her magic and whipped Rainbow Dark in the face with it, causing her cheek to cut and bleed. She looked at Twilight and yelled “Ouch, hey you shouldn’t fight with those stronger than you!” She ran at Twilight who quickly dodged, only to be hit in the face by Scootaloo.

    “Ha!” “Take that Twilight!” Scootaloo seemed happy at her sudden hit, only to be tackled to the ground by Spike. As they engaged in a struggle, Twilight and Rainbow’s eyes met and they both started to fire off bolt after bolt, blast after blast, of Dark energy and magic. Scootaloo and Spike were nearly hit a few times, but they continued their struggle and started hoof fighting up close. “Stand down Spike, there is no victory waiting for you here!”

   Spike looked at Scootaloo and replied “Says the crazy Pegasus who joined the bad guy…err girl.” Spike was able to say right before getting sucker-hoofed in the face and falling to the cloud. Meanwhile, Twilight and Rainbow were locked in mental combat, blasting each others  very willpower with mind shattering energies.

    “Give up Rainbow, it still isn’t too late to admit your mistakes, there is still time to stop!” “Please just give up before somepony gets really hurt!”

   Rainbow Dark paid little attention to what Twilight had to say and while she was talking,  Rainbow began charging a large amount of energy. Right as Twilight opened her mouth to speak, Rainbow Dark let out a full fledged cone of abyssal energy. Twilight didn’t have any time to react before being thrown straight off of Cloudsdale.

    “Hey Spike, I think your master just took a swan dive.” Rainbow Dark said, watching Twilight fall.

     Spike looked away for a second and watched as his friend fell off of the clouds into open air.

     “Twilight!’ “NOO!” Spike ran over to the edge and revealed a new feat of his own, the back of his cloak lifted up and wings unfurled. He dived down to save Twilight, catching her and flying off toward the library.

    “Please Rainbow, you can still change your ways!’ Twilight could only say one thing as Spike flew them both off to their home.         Rainbow Dark and Scootaloo sat in Rainbow’s home in the sky.

Rainbow Dark thought over her encounter with Twilight and pondered how Spike grew his wings so quickly. Just yesterday he was a little dragon and now he looked matured. Twilight must be using some kind of growth spell on him… Rainbow thought.

   “Whatcha thinking about, Rainbow?” Chimed Scootaloo from the other room.

     “How Spike grew his wings too fast.”

      “Yea, that is a little confusing, maybe he is growing up quicker?”

      “No, I suspect that Twilight is using a growth spell of some kind.

      Scootaloo looked at Rainbow Dark. “You mean she is magically making spike grow bigger?”

      “Yea, he is getting stronger faster than he should be.” “He might be Twilight’s ace in the hole.”

     “We’ll have to get rid of him then…” Scootaloo said before putting her costume on.

     “Hmm we aren’t going to kill him, just capture him.”

      “Understood Rainbow!” Scootaloo gave Rainbow Dark a small salute before walking out the door

       “Hmm, but if we do need to…I wont hesitate to kill the pest.” Whispered Rainbow to herself.

          Rainbow Dark and Scootaloo went to Sugercube corner and walked inside the bakery. Their appearances were met by screams, fleeing ponies, and Pinkie Pie hiding behind the counter. Rainbow Dark approached the counter only to find that Pinkie Was gone.

    “You should re-think your decision of being evil Dashie.” Said a voice from behind Rainbow.

     “Pinkie, I’m not even going to ask how you did that….I came here to see if you would join me.” Said Rainbow Dark as she turned around to see Pinkie giving a cold look toward Rainbow.

    “I chose to be evil and I’m staying that way Pinkie Pie.” “And don’t call me Dashie…It brings back bad memories…it’s Rainbow Dark now.”

    “Rainbow Dark?” “That is such a silly name Rainbow Dash.” Pinkie pie fell on the floor laughing at Rainbow Dark. Then she climbed into the air and walked over the counter, much to the surprise of Scootaloo and Rainbow Dark. “I’m not gonna join you, but I’m also not joining Twilight.” “I just bake cupcakes and bring happiness to everypony.” “I could never pick sides!”

    Rainbow Dark face-hoofed. She turned to Scootaloo. “Maybe Pinkie Pie wasn’t the best pony to ask first.”

    The two left the bakery and headed for the Fashion Boutique. Rainbow Dark trotted up to the door and found that it was locked from the inside.

   “You better let us in Rarity.” Rainbow Dark said, pounding on the door with her hooves.

    A voice from inside said, “Rarity isn’t home right now.” “I’m not allowed to unlock the door until she gets back.” Rainbow realized that the voice wasn’t Rarity’s, but her little sister SweetieBell.

   Rainbow thought up an idea. “Oh don’t worry, you can let us in Sweetie Bell.”

   Sweetie Bell’s response was brief “You’re evil!”

   Rainbow Dark become irritated and thought up a better plan.

   Scootaloo looked at Rainbow. “Your first idea was just to ask?”

    Rainbow Looked down at Scootaloo. “Hey you try thinking up ideas in the field.” Rainbow Dark then put her second plan into action. “Actually I’m going around town telling everypony  that I have stopped being evil, and I wish to apologize to Rarity.”

   Rainbow heard several locks opening up and then the door swung open to reveal Sweetie Bell covered in cooking equipment like it was armor, in her mouth she held a large wooden spoon. She dropped it and said, “Hey if you’re not evil…then why are you still wearing your evil costumes?”

   Rainbow Dark laughed at Sweetie Bell and said, “Because we are still evil, and you just let us in.” She concentrated her powers and conjured a cage of night energy in which she locked sweetie bell in. Then she took a piece of fabric and put it over Sweetie Bell’s mouth so she couldn’t scream for help. Rainbow Dark and Scootaloo sat there, waiting for the fashionista to return.
