Spike and the diamond of the multiverse

Long ago, thousands of years before the birth of Grogar, a unnamed creature had the powers of altering reality, traveling through time, and creating portals to other dimensions. He used these powers to help creatures living in the dimensions he visited. But, even with all this power, he still had a weakness. If he was struck by magic lightning 5 times, he would die. One day, a magic storm covered Equus. Magic lightning struck the ground continuously. Knowing that this would kill him, the creature took a diamond, put all his powers inside, and stored it in the ground. Right after he did that, he was struck by the lightning 5 times. Then he died.

"Spike." Said Rarity

"Yeah Rarity."

"I need some more gems for my dresses, but I'm too busy. Would you mind going to the gem caves to get some?"

"Sure Rarity." said Spike, before leaving Carousal Boutique with a gem basket.

Spike walked straight to the gem caves that he and Rarity usually went to when they needed to get gems. When he got there, he began to fill the basket with different gems. It took him a couple hours before he was putting the last gem in the basket.

Just as he was about to leave, he saw a glowing rainbow diamond in front of him. He thought that he should bring it back to Rarity, but when he saw it, he had the sudden urge to eat it. So he did.

When he had eaten the diamond, he felt some kind of power flow through his body. It began to have a rainbow glow form around it. As he was looking at his body, he accidentally inhaled dust into his nose, causing him to sneeze. When he sneezed, he accidentally breathed fire into the wall of the cave. The fire formed a portal to another dimension. It stayed open for half a minute before closing, leaving Spike very confused.

He picked up the gem basket quickly walked back to the Carousal Boutique, dropped off the gems for Rarity, then quickly headed back to Twilight's castle to show Twilight his new powers.

"TWILIGHT!" yelled Spike

Twilight quickly rushed to Spike to see what was wrong. "What is it Spi----, why are you glowing?" She asked

"It started when Rarity asked me to get gems for dresses because she needed them but was too busy, and I did. When I finished collecting all the gems, I was about to leave when I noticed a glowing rainbow-colored diamond. As I was staring at it, I suddenly got the urge to eat it. When I ate it, my body started glowing like this. Then I accidentally sneezed after inhaling dust while looking at my body, which caused me to breathe fire into the wall. When the fire hit the wall, it created a portal to another dimension."

Twilight stood as still as a statue for a second, then she said "Follow me. I need to test to see what kind of powers you got from that diamond you ate."

Spike followed Twilight into a special room only used for testing strange things. She told Spike to get into a device designed to detect any unusual powers/magic inside a creature and display them, along with the source of the powers on a monitor.

The device scanned Spike before bringing the results on the monitor.

"Apparently that diamond is thousands of years older than even Grogar. That it was created to store the powers inside by a unnamed creature who lived back then. The only things it says about this creature is that it had the power to travel to different dimensions and through time and that it was immune to everything except magic lightning, which apparently was really common back then, but has a 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% chance of happening every few hundred years today, so it's extremely rare, and that he was unable to die naturally. And now you have his powers, Spike."

"That's crazy." said Spike, "I almost don't believe it. I have to tell the others about this."

"I'll send messages to the others and Celestia and Luna to meet us here." said Twilight, preparing the messages.

Twilight got the messages written and sent. A few minutes later, everypony was at the castle.

"What did ya need us for Twi? It had better be something important." Said Rainbow

"It is." said Twilight, "Spike, show them."

Spike came out from around the corner, showing that he was now glowing.

"Spike?!" yelled Rarity, "What happened to you?"

"Well" said Spike, "When I went to get those gems you needed, I saw this glowing rainbow diamond that, while staring at it, made me desire to eat it. When I did eat it, I was looking at my body after it started glowing. Then I accidentally inhaled dust from the cave, making me sneeze and shoot fire. When the fire hit the wall, this happened."

Spike shot fire at two different spots on one of the walls in the castle, becoming portals. One portal showed a different dimension, while the other showed a different point in time.

"Wow." said Rainbow, "That's awesome, Spike."

"I'll definitely have to throw a "Spike got special dimensional/time travel powers from a diamond party." said Pinkie

"Actually, Pinkie" said Spike, "I'd prefer to keep my new powers a secret for now."

"Awww." said Pinkie

"But when I decide to reveal my powers to Equestria, I'll come to you to plan the party."

"Okey-Dokey-Loki. I already can't wait, please reveal your powers soon. You know how I do with waiting."

"Don't worry, Pinkie. I'll reveal them sometime next week."

"Great, I'm already going to start planning it. Don't worry about me spoiling the secret, I've gotten better at keeping a secret hidden since the whole "Cadence is pregnant" surprise. I'll just say, I'm planning a special party for Spike, if anypony asks."

"Okay, Pinkie."

Soon everypony left after congratulating Spike for his new powers. When the last pony left, Twilight and Spike went to prepare for bed, for it was already super late.
