The Letter

Once upon a time, in the magical land of Equestria. There were two regal sisters, who ruled together and created harmony for all the land. To do this, the eldest used her unicorn powers to raise the sun at dawn. The younger, brought out the moon to begin the night. Thus the two sisters maintained balance in their kingdom for their subjects, all the different types of ponies. But as time went on the younger sister became resentful. The ponies relished and played in the day her elder sister brought forth, but shunned and slept through her beautiful night. One fateful day the younger alicorn refused to lower the moon to make way for the dawn. The elder sister tried to reason with her, but the bitterness in the young one's heart turned her into a wicked mare of darkness, Nightmare Moon. She vowed that she would shroud the land in eternal night. Reluctantly the elder sister harnessed the most powerful magic known to ponydom, The Elements of Harmony. Using the magic of the Elements of Harmony, she defeated her younger sister and banished her permanently in the moon. The elder sister took on responsibility for both sun and moon......

“........ and harmony has been maintained in Equestria ever since,” Twilight concluded looking at the book more closely.

Sitting under the tree on a shady green field while tapping the page with her hooves was none other than our protagonists, Twilight Sparkle. She has grown to 18 years old now and her mane and coat were still the same as before. A moderate violet eyes with dark sapphire blue with moderate purple and brilliant raspberry streaks dark phthalo blue with moderate purple and brilliant rose mane. Her coat was pale, light greyish mulberry now laying on the grass.

"Hmm... Elements of Harmony, I know I've heard of those before." She said while turning her head to the sky.

"But where...?"

After reading the book given by the Princess, she put it into her saddlebag as she walks down to the streets of Canterlot towards her destination. Trying to memorize the name of it while walking but only just a couple walks she gets cut off by three mare pony in front of her.

"There you are, Twilight! Moondancer is having a little get-together in the West Castle courtyard." Said the ivory mare.

She has an artic blue eyes with a pale cerise mane and a light goldish grey. Her cutie marks were three light blue stars.

Her name is Twinkleshine and she is a unicorn.

Next to her has a raspberry eye, with a cerulean mane with a light cerulean tail streak and a brilliant yellow coat. Her cutie marks is a three heart each with different colours.

She's also a unicorn and her name is Lemon Hearts.

The last one on the left side of Twinkleshine also a unicorn has sapphire blue eyes, a blue with light Persian bluish-grey stripes mane and a light cornflower blue coat.

An hourglass for cutie marks and her name is Minuette.

Right now there a something on there back which probably a gift for Moondancer.

"You want to come?" Asked the middle one to Twilight while three of them grinding.

"Oh... sorry girls. I got a lot of studying to catch up on." The lavender unicorn smile to them before trotting down the street with high speed.

They say her runoff. Twinkleshine scoffed, "Does that pony do anything except study?" She said while looking at her friends.

"Well at least her brothers will come to the party. I'm gonna be honest, both of them are kinda cute when they're around." Said the right side of Twinkleshine, while imagining about their adorable face.

"Now, now, Lemon Hearts. Last time somepony says that end up on a tree with they face on fire you know."

"Oh... Really!? I don't know that."

"Well, I hope so. But still, I think she's more interested in books than friends." As they're turned around and walked away.

Indeed what she says about Twilight. Even though they been in the same class during their childhood. They and the other classmates tried everything to make her attention to them rather than books. There even some colts try to woo her when she teenager because of been a protège of Princess Celestia at all but unfortunately, she finds out not interesting so she simply ignores them all. Not to mention, there is sometimes she bucks the colt in the face or blasted them with magic and accidentally teleported on top of Canterlot mountain snow. It takes a lot of time to get the colts back from the snowy mountain even though the class has to stop from 'missing colts' problem.

Anywhere, back to Twilight Sparkle, still trot toward her place.

"I know I heard of The Elements of Harmony." She said while passing trough the near building and the bright where there meet to more unicorn mare.

One of them waving at Twilight while the other one carries some packed on her mouth.

The running mare unicorn clearly ignores two of them as she climbs the stairs to the tall ivory tower with a colour of white for wall and yellow roof. Where our beloved protagonist lives.

Back to the ponies who been ignored. The one who's a waver has a greyish cyan stare at her friend before sigh and then spoke.

"Don't worry, I think it's all up to her brothers now to convince her to the party." And by that, they continue to walk to the Moondancer party in the courtyard.

Ivory tower, Home of Sparkles...

Twilight settles down her saddlebag (I really don't know what happened to the bag) before rushed to the door to open it just to get a bump from somepony... Or rather, some creature.

The unicorn lost her balanced and sat hard while rubbing her head before meeting with grey eyes with a golden fur paw in front of her.

"Seriously, sis? You know you can't just open the double door without knocking at first." Leo groaned to his sister while helping her up.

This is where the alternative began. The lion has grown-up to currently a size like a 14 years age lion cub. His hair has grown a bit and its colour was silver-grey, same goes to the tail as well. On all fours, he was at eye level with Twilight neck, and his muscle build paw made him seem more the size of a particularly simple stallion, not so thin or thick.

For appearance, His golden fur still looks shimmering and beautiful while the nose and ears grew big and healthy too. he also wears a grey bandana on his neck for some reason, he told it when he was a little that he feels like naked when wandered around the crowd. Don't know that the reason was enough but the Sparkle parents decided to give him the bandana with the same colour as his eyes. Furthermore, not just for felling uncovered but to keep him comfortable plus always to remembering them that there always there from him. Even though, they not the same species.

"I mean, come on! Just a couple of knocked and say 'I'm back' wasn't that hard." The cub complained, his sister grabbed his paw as he pulls her up.

"Sorry, I didn't see you there..." Twilight apologised.

"Well~ maybe she thought it's a window, not a door so she can ram herself to it." A boy's voice chimed. It's none other than Spike Sparkle, coming from behind Leo with a gaudily wrapped present in his claw.

For Spike, he 13 years old but doesn't grow up that much aside to grow a same tall like his brother's leg. What he lacked is the size he had more than made up in snark and he still baby dragon so that makes him quite pudgy. Nonetheless, he's quite smart as Twilight thanks to her teaching lesson for them.

Leo spoke, get back to his main objective. "Anyway, what's with the rushed, sis?"

"Rush? Oh, right. Quick boys, find me that old copy of predictions and prophecies." She called her brothers while raced to the upstairs while they just blinked their eyes before following her.

When they got up, Twilight looks at them before noticing that there carried a gift present. Well... Leo present was on top of his mane. "What's that for?"

"Well, it was a gift for Moondancer." Spike answer.

"Oh, Spike you know we don't have time for that sort of thing." Twilight chimed pushing a book that's on the stack of books.

"But we're on a break!" He protested.

"Yay, sis. There is sometimes we need to study and sometimes to take a BREAK. You know what the meaning of it, right?" Leo asked his sister.

The Lavender mare groaned, "I know what it means Leo but not right now." She concentrates to her horn as it lit up pulling books off the shelf to her so she can see the title of the books.

While she doing that, she didn't realise that her brother's whispering to each other before they smiled and wink as Spike climbed the ladder searching the book.

"SPIKE!!!" shouts the frustrated unicorn.

"It's over here!" Spike called while waving the book.

Spike grip the book with his both claw not notice Twilight, who used her magic to warped with magic before yanking the book with Spike pulling off the ladder, the drake was still gripping the book. Leo's quickly jumped and caught his brother but as an exchange, he will get the hit the floor. Just about he gives he sister a glare, the Lion and Dragon got thudding by a pile of books.

Twilight was now happy to have the book she looking for. She turned around and walks but get feeling the sensitive from her as she turns her head to see Leo pulling her tail.

"What do you say after someone helps you..." The golden lion stares at her with a glared.

The unicorn forgets about it and started to blush. "Oh yeah... Thank you, Spike."

Satisfied. The cub let go while getting out from the pile of books with his brother struggle to make it out as he sighed after seeing the book scattering all over the place.

Leo saw his brother face before putting his paw on the drake scaled. "Don't worry, I help you, bro." Spike smiled at him and says thanks as they pick up the books, while Twilight doing some research with the book.

"Elements...Elements...e..e..e.. Aha! Elements of Harmony, see mare in the moon?" She questioned herself.

"Mare in the moon?" Spike questioned while climbing the to reach the place. "But that's just an old ponies tale. Right, bro?" He faces down to received a nod from the Lion while putting the books from the bottom.

Twilight now search the later start with latter 'M' section.

"Mare...mare... Aha! The mare in the moon, myth, from olden pony times. A powerful pony who wanted to rule Equestria defeated by The Elements of Harmony and imprisoned in the moon..." Twilight read.

Leo listened in, finished the last of it while holding the ladder so Spike wouldn't fall down to it. He's starting to feel like something is going wrong right now.

"...Legend has it that on the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape, and she will bring about nighttime eternal.” she gasped "You guys know what this means?"

"No." The drake grumbled while climbed down the ladder before jump down to land on the back of his brother.

"Take the note please, to the princess." The mare said as she levitated a quill and parchment over to Spike.

"Okie dokie~" The purple Dragon grab it as he opens the parchment, waiting for the speaker to tell him.

"My dearest teacher, my continuing studies of pony magic have led me to discover that we are on the precipice of disaster..."

"Hold up," Spike muttered. "Pricepic...."

"Precipice of disaster." Leo helped corrected spelling.

"...of disaster," Spike fixed. "Got it. Thanks, bro."

With nodded, Twilight continued.

"...for you see, the mythical mare in the moon is in fact Nightmare Moon and she's about to return to Equestria and bring with her eternal night..."

While The Lavender mare walking around, Leo turns to his brother and whispered. "Don't forget what we talking about early."

Spike stared at him before nodded.

"...something must be done to make sure this terrible prophecy does not come true. I await your good response. Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle."

"Twilight...Sparkle..." The baby dragon mumbled a little bit. "Got it!"

"Great, send it pleased." She told.

"Now?" Spike asked.

"Of course, why you asked?"

Her brothers looked at each other for a second before Spike continued. "Uh... I don't know Twilight. Princess Celestia is a little busy getting ready for the Summer Sun Celebration."

"Plus, she must have been hard work to make sure everything goes well and what bro says it's right. That's just like the day after tomorrow." Leo finished.

"That's just it boys, the day after tomorrow is the thousands year of Summer Sun Celebration." She explained to them while looking at the sun. "It's imperative that the princess is told right away."

Spike just gonna go with it odd logic and rolled the scroll up wrapping a royal seal around it before breathing in deeply and incinerating the scroll with a blast of green flame through the nearby window.

"Good, now I just need to wait until the princess wrote back to me so--where are you two going?" Twilight saw her brothers going downstairs.

"To the parties, duh," Leo answered.

"But I'm still waiting for a letter! You guys can't leave!" Twilight protested. "Besides, that party must already start now."

"Oh, we both can make it."

"How?"

The boys smirked at her. They're something that both of them didn't tell the big siblings since they discovered. Leo closes his eyes, concentrate the amount of energy from his body while a spark of lightning appeared at both paws as the spark began to expand the area before he Lion open his eyes and said.

ELEMENTAL POWER!!!,

ELEMENT LIGHTNING!!!

The lightning surrounding Leo (except Spike) before a yellow light appears before disappeared to reveal Leo with slightly different.

Right now, Leo silver grey mane and turf tail were now yellow and his paw was yellow as well while his leg foot was black. The bandana on his neck was yellow but with addition, in the middle of it has a light yellow lightning bolt logo. It also has new accessories, the front legs seem to have a black armband on the end of it with also have a lightning bolt logo.

Leo has change into a lightning form.

He looks at his sister who blinking her eyes for a second as the mare came to her sense back. "Okey, Leo just in lightning form but I don't see how in Equestria can help-"

LIGHTNING SPEEDS!!!

As fast as lightning, Leo's bolts down with Spike on his back. Dragon scale is thick so lightning doesn't have an effect on him. He also managed to snatch the present for Moondancer. Flung the double door opened as they go out of the tower.

"See ya!" he shouts from the distant.

Inside the tower, Twilight remained silent while her jaw widens open. Her brains just witness something that she can't even decide to do so instead her eyes twitching before...

"LEO SPARKLE!!! YOU NEVER TOLD ME YOU CAN ACCELERATE WITH THE LIGHTNING LIKE THAT!?" She shouts loud enough to be heard inside the castle as she trots down to follow them.

Meanwhile, Princess Celestia chamber...

The alicorn saw a lightning trail from tall stairs tower before hearing her faithful student screams as she came out from her home door.

The Princess chuckled while sitting on a sweet fluffy cushion as she levitating a letter from her so she can reread the 'not Twilight' part.

P.S: Can you give us one hour to go to the Moondancer party at West Castle courtyard, please?

Putting away the latter while bringing out the Princess latter as she soft sigh.

"Well, it's good for her to meet her classmates before I send this to her." She said while looking back at her student to see she already at the bottom as she catches breath before trotting down the street to the courtyard.

But something still remains in her questions as she thought about that lightning trail. "Leo... Just what purpose are you?"

Not able to find the answer yet, she sighs again before turned and walks away.
