Everypony took off, causing Spike to spin around and left rather dizzy.

"...gether," Spike finished as he found himself alone, "or not."

A groan comes from him. "If only Leo was here, we would spend time together. Wonder what's he up too...?"

"You'll see, the entire royal guard and even Celestia watch me spar against Sargent Silversteel, Major of the royal guard and boy, there weren't kidding about how strong he is! Well considering he's the one who charges the royal guard after all. His sword skill is no joke. Everything hit deal incredible damage to the opponent, that's me of course, but I'm been training hard since bro and I step in the training field. And not to mention that he's the one who taught me how to use a sword. I started tutoring when I turn 13 years old, that's the year when my Elemental power comes out but not yet! They still sleeping if my word correct and the sparing begin after their awake..."

"Don't you hear what I said? It's my pow- Wait a minute, you make me did it again havens you!"

"Who?"

With face paws, he groaned. "Seriously, get a life!"

"WHO?"

Leo flinched by the hard voice. "O-ok c-calm down..."

Today, or should it say tonight. Leo with Twilight pet, Owlowiscious is doing...nothing. It is the night of the Grand Galloping Gala and the Mane 6 plus Spike are probably at Canterlot. And being the only one who didn't go because give up his ticket to the girls is feels weird. He didn't regret it but something feels off about it until now, he not usually be; bored.

"Bored..." Leo moaned while laying on the wooden floor.

"Who?"

"Is nothing, Owlowiscious. It's my fault I been rude to you."

"Who."

"Oh, yeah. Back to the story." He now sits in front of the owl. "Let see, my power has awakened and the sparing is a start in one week. Therefore, I decided to practice with my bro in the backyard for a chance to increase my win rate against Sargent Silversteel by testing each of the elements according to who I got first."

"Who?"

"Huh? No... Mom and dad don't know about my power at first, including my sis as well. Big bro, however, finds out when he heard a rumour from the guards about the spar held in one week. Surprisingly, he decided to lend a hoof to me for the battle and if you don't know. It was difficult training even for him but he told us that he did the same thing when he first-time practice."

Leo took a deep breath, in and out.

"Who."

"What's that? You want a flashback?" The owl nodded. "Well sure. I'll try my best to make it not too boring and also, I find out something else too."

"Who?"

"Yes yes. I'm about to tell you right now..."

Flashback...

"Come on, Leo! Use that blade for good use!"

"Hey, big bro? Can't we just go with a slash attack?" Leo said the position he takes was an attacking stance while gripping his Lightning Blade on his right paw.

"That's not gonna work against the Sargent Major, private!" Shining Armour shouted like he was the Sargent. "You can't just charge ahead without knowing about your opponent, private! Now listen up, Sargent Silversteel is smart, he will predict the attack you will make and try to counter as well. It causes you to lose instantly you know that! Don't underestimate him just because he looks old, his strength is no joke while your kiddo, are very simpleton!"

"Ouch. That's low, big bro."

"Less take, more assault!"

With that, he uses his magic to levitate a dummy make from straw hay tight with rope from the pile of it. There, next to it is a young baby dragon.

"You can do it, Leo!" Spike rooting the lion as he first up.

The training dummy is floating side with the unicorn. "Ready?"

Leo concentrates his mind on the target before he grins. "Bring it!"

With a full swing, Shining toss the dummy directly towards the lion as he doing it rapidly sending the next and the next training dummy from the pile. Lock insight, Leo raise his blade in front of him while the dummy on their way, he took a defensive position with the blade in the middle. It's getting closer, as he switches to a back stance. He lowers the blade for full-half of his left paws and before anyone could say anything...

He sent a blow.

Lightning Slash!

The impact of the outcome releases a practical of lightning as it slices the dummy in half. It has clear that Leo seems pretty good but that doesn't mean the thrower hadn't finished yet.

One by one, the pile of dummy decreased by the results of Shining tossing it to Leo nonstop. The golden lion keeps on going, slices and dice he goes, the sweat coming from his head prove he getting it closer to match with the Sargent.

"Come on, big bro! Is that all you got?" He taunting the royal guard as he pointing his blade toward him.

Feeling like an insulating, with a huff of snorted. The white unicorn uses all his will of magic to carry the dummy into the air, swirling around him as he showing off his skill to his brother. All the pile is gone with an edition of the certain purple creature within floating.

"Alright, then! Be ready cause no holder back from your big brother anymore!" Shining yell out. With a magic purple aura from his white horn, the dummy moves forward with high speed. Fast enough that there's is someone in his aura.

"SHINING!!!"

The Unicorn quickly shock as to who he just hurl out; it was Spike! An accident from him as the drake along with the dummy a heading right to Leo who about to slice it in half again! There's gonna be dragon sushi in no time!

"Oh, crap!" Shining shout, realise he Levites Spike as well. "Leo! Incoming at Twelve o'clock!"

"Twelve o'clock? What's gonna happen at twelve o'clock?" He confused.

"NO! Spike is moving toward ahead of you!"

"Wait, what?!"

It was at this moment he knew that his little brother was part of Shining tossing aura. Trembling, the blade disappeared from his grip and instantly ready in a defensive stance. He gazes at the skies and starts to convert all the wind from his paws as a spiral of gust gather around before he let it all out!

Wind Blast!!!

Leo unleashed a strong yet breezing wind and sent all of the targets to include the alive one as it delivered to the high atmospheres, sending them into the section where only a flying creature can reach and boy, Spike is not included...

...(yet).

"Aaahhhh!!! Leo! Shining!" Spike freaking screaming like a mare. Is not until the gravity pulled them back as a raining dummy is not on the schedule with Spike on ahead. The duo on the bottom needs to do something like right now!!!

"Oh, no! Bro! B-Big bro! What am I going to do?!"

"Calm down, Leo! A royal guard needs to stay calm and use your head to solve the problem." Shining stated.

"B-but bro gonna get hurt! W-what if he got hurt badly and it's all my fault! I-i don't know what to do! I'm not even a royal guard!" He's panicked, tear form in his eyes as he put his paws on his head, crying. It's not until Shining place his hooves on Leo's shoulder.

"STAY CALM." He looks into the eyes of the lion who doing the same to him. "Leo... Spike will injuries if we don't do something fast. If you're tearing around in a panic about something like this, then it puts everypony else in a panic as well. Not me but who knows? Now stop crying and help me, please?"

The lion sniff for a second. "A-alright."

"Good." A smile form from the unicorn as he glances at the sky to see the raining training doll and his brother coming in hot. "Listen, I will use my magic to stop the dummy, there might be 20 more or something so I need you to preventing Spike hit the ground, got it?"

Leo looks worried. "B-but what if--"

"I believe in you, Leo. Don't let the fear took over you, face it like a real fiercest lion!"

With the courage came from his big bro. Leo bravery is up as he nods. Satisfied, he let go of him and look in the skies before channelling his magic in full power! All the training put up for good as all 20 or more dummy stop from there currently expectation expect the alive one as he passes through them, who cry out for help as it Leo turn.

"Got it! Now, Leo! GO!" Cheers Shining Armour.

Even though the golden lion look gloomy but his mind was set to do, to save his brother! His face is now determined as he prepared to catch the baby drake using a vertical jump.

And that hit it.

Upon doing the position. Leo has been surrounding by a swirling gust of air as they change his mane into the vivid dark blue, that involves his front paws, tuft tail and even his bandana! Although there's a bright blue tornado badge in the centre of the bandana with edition, a light blue armband appear on his between the elbow and pattern. That's not all, his back legs turn to black for some cool reason and unique.

"Leo-!" Said Shining who completely shock only to cut off by the blue lion.

"Is not over until we do it!" He shout out with a smile, showing his white shiny teeth as the gust isn't done yet.

Gust Sprite!!!

The gale covers his bottom section as he began hovering in the air. Eyes plus mouth wide open from the unicorn as he can't believe what he sees. His brother was flying without wing or magic! Only a high powerful unicorn can levitation themselves or even control a wind would be hard!

With that settle, the aerokinesis burst off a fly toward Spike with a high wind power he got. Manage to avoid the dummy who still floating in the midair as he reaches the purple dragon with his paws. He could almost catch, he can fill his brother scale right now, only something feels off...

Everything around him was black. Just dark and emptiness.

This feeling is fell new. A feeling like he about to reach a whole new level with this power.

No.

This is his power! A power that he recently got and come to him. The power of natural phenomena. The power he will use for goodness and balance and he will use it, by rescuing his brother first!!!

"I~ got you, bro!" He did it. He grabs Spike. He saves him from his doom!

"Awesome, Leo!!!" Shouts Shining Armour from below.

"L-Leo?" Asked Spike. "Is that's you? You look different?"

He's probably talking about Leo mane change colour. "Yep! And you don't have to worry anymore because you're safe!"

"A-Am I?!" Spike look at the bottom but he still in the air which makes him puzzled but then realises what cause it. "Leo! Your flying!"

The blue lion gives confuse before seen what he means, he hovers on a small tornado, like a real unharmed tornado!

"Woah... Pawesome!"

"...pawesome?" Spike puzzled.

After that, the duo land on the nice grassy ground. Where their big brother awaits them. "Leo! Spike! Are you both alright?"

"We fine, Shining. Thanks to Leo and his superpower!" Said Spike, as the firstborn look at the lion.

"That was incredible." He nudges him. "You now able to handle the panic of you. But with that what I just seeing, we need to up our game if you want to win against Sargent Silversteel."

The cub can't help but give a warm smile. "Thanks, big bro. I needed it."

With the usual Leo style, he hugs the pony. And he hugs him back. Of course, Spike joins in to perform a brothers hug. Cause likewise creature say; a hug delights and warms and charms, that must be why Goddess gave us arms.

Speaking of the goddess. In high of the castle, there's a tall white pony who has seen everything, and boy, she too mouth on the floor.

End of Flashback...

"And that is where my catchphrase was created. Pawesome!"

"Who..."

"Huh? Oh, you mean all that cool stuff I do? Yeah, it's incredible."

"WHO."

Leo chuckled. "Alright, I was just joking with you. Is true, I had that perception like I about to enter a new path await for me... When everypony find out about my newfound superpower, there...well... Let just say shock? I don't know what word to come up to."

"Who?"

"Yeah, Nopony freak out 'cause Celestia was they so yeah." Leo walking to the window and stare at Canterlot with a small smile. "I hope Sis and the others are okay at the Gala..."

"Because it is the most boring and terrible Gala every year." He said. Maybe sarcastic?

"Who...?"

Leo concerns as he put his paw on his head. "Yeah... Should mention them about it."

In the Royal Garden, a location where flora and fauna live in the peace of quiet. A place where a huge maze was created. There, at the Royal Canterlot Sculpture of the past from Equestria. One represents victory. While others represent friendship.

But there's one interesting statue. It got an eagle claw, lion paws and snake tail. Can tell that it has ahead of a pony with a body made up of all sorts of creature.

It's not long until there's a small dot blinking on its chest as it... Alive?

DONE.

Hooray! I did it! I'm about to head to season 2 and man, is a long journey for me. At first, making these stories doesn't feel right but after got inspiration from my favourite show! I finally manage to do it and make it to the end of season 1!

For those who curious, Leo technically an animal so he can communicate with the other animals. And early back when Spike became Number One Assistant Twilight, I put and a question mark on 'who' alright. So Owlowiscious is asking a question. Though, he sometimes joking with Leo as prey while he as a predator.
