A Guardpony's Duty

Iron Lance was a newly graduated member of the Royal Guard, a dream most ponies envisioned in their youth to protect and serve their kingdom, along with the alicorn princesses: Princess Celestia, the recently returned Princess Luna, and the new guard's favorite, Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, or Cadence as she prefers. And luck would have it that he would be assigned to watch over the princess as her own personal guard, despite being fresh out of basic, and transferred to the recently returned kingdom of the north, the Crystal Empire. Ever since he was a colt, he idolized the lovely pink alicorn, and even more so as he aged into a young, very sexually active stallion. He knew he princess was married to former Captain of the Guard, Shining Armor, and he understood that there wouldn't be a chance he would ever admit his personal feelings for her, but Iron Lance was content being near Princess Cadence and serve her as her personal Royal Guard. Little does he realize that he will be able to fulfill his romantic fantasies, and be paid to do them. This new guard is in for a real treat when Cadence reveals to him just how "personal" of a guard he will be.
