Dear Twilight

Everything has been going well here at Canterlot High. The Rainbooms are still together and were about to have our girls night out. I hope Pinkie baked cupcakes again.

Were planning on having a night a the park, I'm sitting in the location as I'm waiting for the girls. Oh speak of them, I see them.

Sunset looked to see her friends walking to her. Rarity laid down a cover with Applejack. Fluttershy placed a tea pot and placed teacups down, Pinkie smiling, placed cupcakes down, Rainbow throwed a ball around, and Twilight smiled petting Spike.

"So what are we all doing here for our night together?" Twilight asked everyone.

"I say we play ball, I would love bringing it back." Spike grinned.

"Or we could go to lake, and go swimming. It's a lovely full moon and the nocturnal animals are out usually at this time." Fluttershy smiled. Rainbow groaned.

"That's sounds like a good idea Fluttershy." Sunset smiled. Twilight then grabbed a book from her bag.

"I was meaning to study nocturnal animals for my agricultural class." Twilight smiled. Rainbow rolled her eyes.

All of them smiled placing the food back in their bags, Pinkie smiling eating hers. They then started to head off.

Eventually they made it to the lake, the bright moon reflecting off the lake.

"Uh, did anyone bring a swimsuit?" Applejack asked.

"Who cares?" Rainbow asked as Pinkie was already was swimming in her undergarments. Everyone blushed.

"I brought mine." Fluttershy smiled warmly.

"I'm staying on land, no way I'm getting my hair all wet and sloppy." Rarity said, Applejack and Rainbow nodded at each other.

"Twilight what are you gonna do?" Sunset asked her light lavender friend.

"Well I'm gonna study the habits of nocturnal creatures in the woods." She smiled taking her laptop out.

"Alright Twilight. Now let's get to swimming girls." Sunset smiled as she took off her jacket. Rarity looked at her friends jumping into the lake. She laid out a comfy seat and sat down.

"I love this cool air. No chance I will get my clothes dirty." She smiled as Rainbow and Applejack, dripping wet, walked up behind her. They grabbed her seat.

"Rainbow Dash, Applejack! What do you think you're doing!" Rarity screamed as they flipped the seat up, sending Rarity into the lake edge. Rarity looked at her clothes and looked up at them.

"Cheer up Rarity!" Pinkie smiled swimming by.

"Pinkie put on something jeez." Rainbow groaned. Pinkie blushed a little.

"I had no swimsuit Dashie, be happy I'm not in my birthday suit." She grinned and swam down into the lake. Rarity frowned as she took off her shirt.

"Seriously you girls need to stop." Sunset smiled, as she swam in place.

"I thought you have outfits for all occasions Rarity." Applejack said.

"Not always Applejack!" She screamed as she walked back on land. She put her shirt down on the chair and frowned.

"It's fine, it'll dry. Now come have some fun!" Rainbow smiled, her rainbow hair dripping droplets into the lake. Rarity frowned looking at her dress.

Fluttershy smiled breaching her head out of the water. She smiled swimming onto the closet land. She twisted and gripped her hair, seeing water drip down. She smiled then as she looked up. Seeing an owl flying fast above.

*crunch* Fluttershy's head turned around as she shuffled.

Yellow glowing orbs. Then something white and sharp glistened under them.

Her eyes then went wide as she screamed and backed up. She looked down as she fell into the lake. The girls all looked over as Fluttershy breached the water. She breathed quickly and coughed a little water up.

"FLUTTERSHY!" the girls yelled and quickly swam to her, Twilight watching alarmed.

Pinke and Sunset frowned as they grabbed Fluttershy with Sunset. Getting hit by the beast paw. They all choked a little on water as they dragged Fluttershy to land and look her over, Pinkie wiped the blood off her face. She then helped place Fluttershy by a tree. Twilight looked Fluttershy over and put her ear to her mouth. Sunset gave Pinkie some bandages.

"She is breathing, just it seems she passed out." Sunset signed and then saw their other friends get thrown back. They quickly ran over to them.

Rarity landed on her back into mud, as Applejack looked down from a tree. Rainbow groaned and wrapped blood off her face.

"HEY YOU BETTER COME BACK!" Rainbow yelled as Applejack holded her back. They then looked around as mist rises from the creature. They shook as cold air wind blew at them.

"I will go get dressed." Pinkie frowned and grabbed her clothes and quickly put them on.

"We should all go home." Sunset frowned as Fluttershy stuttered awake.

[The Next Morning]

The girls traveled back to the sight and looked around for the beast.

"It says that people have been talking about weird noises at night here." Twilight said looking at her laptop.

Fluttershy walked up to the side of the lake, and then frowned.

"Girls look at this." She said looking down. The 6 others walked up and looked down.

"Tracks, Twilight can figure what creature tracks these are?" Sunset asked as Fluttershy looked them over.

"Looks like a wolf." She said. Everyone looked at her. Twilight nodded.

"Your right Fluttershy." She said.

"But it says their normal about. 3 to 4 inches, this is more like 8 to 10 at least." Twilight frowned. Pinkie then frowned.

"Maybe it's a werewolf!" She yelled frightened.

"Yeah right Pinkie, those don't exist." Rainbow frowned. Sunset then looked comfused.

"I've heard of Timberwolves before, but honestly this isn't wood that sent us back." She said as everyone looked comfused.

"Wood, you mean their are different kinds of wolves in Equestria?" Applejack asked.

"We still have normal wolves, but Timberwolves are wolves made of wood. They can put themselves back together." Sunset explained. The girls nodded.

"I think the wolf could be a Direwolf, but they have been extinct since the ice age." Twilight said frustrated at her laptop.

"Ok girls if we get samples I can find out if it's a Direwolf." Twilight then said.

"How it's extinct?" Rainbow asked.

"We have fossils and frozen puppies Dash." Twilight said typing on her phone. Rainbow blinked.

"What?" She muttered as everyone walked further into the forest. They followed the tracks as Spike was eating treats with Pinkie in the back.

"Uh, Pinkie why are you wearing a green shirt?" Rarity asked her. Pinkie smiled.

"A refreference Rarity." She winked towards me. Rarity looked at more trees comfused.

"Are you alright Darling?" She asked.

The girls then spot the end of the trail, and saw town.

"Strange." Sunset frowned.

"Guess we go home." Fluttershy muttered.

"Wait I found something." Twilight smiled as she picked up a little small strain of fur. She then placed it in a bag and sipped it.

"Ok now we can go. I need to test this." She smiled.

The girls smiled returning to their homes.

Twilight testing the fur with Spike's,

Pinkie drinking whip cream,

Rainbow sleeping,

Sunset playing online games,

Applejack sleeping too,

Rarity fixing her clothes from the day before,

And Fluttershy was writing.

They all did these things till they fell asleep, either by passing out or just napping.
