I might just be giving into paranoia, but I overheard a conversation between one of Officer Spears's personal guards that the Nilnish forces are progressing forward at a far greater rate than they had originally suspected. I don't truly believe this to be true, but looking at how far they've progressed since last year it's possible. So it is true, I learned from a friend of mine a rank above me that a group of about 400 men would be leaving the city and traveling down the road in an attempt to meet them before they get here.

Only pikemen and marksmen will make it up, with a small group of cavalrymen as well, They're under the command of Lexius Serinius, a foreign general from Callamar that was sent to help command troops here in North Equestria. They set out half past the fifteenth hour of today, which was five hours ago. Hopefully, they will stall them long enough to keep them from reaching here. I heard that Officer Spear sent for reinforcements from Canterlot, it could take nearly a week to reach Manehattan, according to a spreading rumor, an army from Orginok, a kingdom on the continent of Dragos is blocking supply chains.
