Octascratch adultery one shot
Octavia sat up late waiting for Vinyl to come home as she always did. Vinyl always told her not to wait up for her, as she always got home in the wee hours of the morning, but it was Octavia's very favorite time of the day when Vinyl would stumble in and they would share a meal before bed. It was worth being a bit groggy in the morning to be able to spend those few golden moments with her little DJ. It made her feel like a little house~. No no. None of that. That last argument had been a bad one. Octavia loved Vinyl too dearly to press that issue again. They already lived together, Vinyl loved her, and she always came home. What did it matter if they weren't actually married?
Octavia sipped her tea, and read her book when suddenly the door was bucked open. The DJ that she had been waiting for all evening dashed over to her and practically tackled her on the couch sobbing. Octavia tried to sit up to figure out what was wrong, but Vinyl wouldn't listen. She just kept saying "I'm sorry" between sobs. Octavia could count on her hooves how many times she'd seen Vinyl cry, so this outburst came as quite a shock.
Octavia eventually settled into the motion of stroking Vinyl's mane, and cooing softly to her. As concerned as she was about what could possibly put her normally rambunctious lover in such a state, it was sort of nice to be needed like this. Vinyl clung to her cellist like she was dangling off of a void and Octavia was the only hoofhold. Finally Vinyl's tears petered out and she stopped whispering "I'm sorry."
Octavia shuffled into a sitting position and raised her DJ's muzzle to look her in the eye. "Now what's the matter my wub?" Vinyl didn't want to make eye contact.
She shuffled into a small ball, wrapping her forelegs around her back legs. She inhaled sharply. "I'm so sorry Octavia," she said again, tears trying to start back up.
Octavia scooted closer and wrapped her forelegs around her mare. "Vinyl. I love you." She kissed Vinyl's horn. "Whatever it is, I'm sure we can handle it." She rested Vinyl's head against her heart. "Now, what happened."
Vinyl exhaled. "Okay. So I was doin my set. Nothin special. But then there was this unicorn."
Deep thumping bass reverberated off of the walls of the club. Lights flashed in time with the music, and ponies of all races and sizes thrashed about wildly to Vinyl's music. D.J. PON-3 bobbed her head to the beat and surveyed her crowd. She loved the energy of the crowd, the sweat, the passion, the detachment from anything outside the party. She needed that right now. She needed to not think.
That last argument had been a bad one. Her mare friend had used the "M" word again. It had brought back all her insecurities, her fears, and her conviction that they would never work in the long run. It was the one thing she never told Octavia. She knew that a mare like Octavia could do better than a second rate club D.J. like her, so she never wanted to talk about it. She loved her little celly belly, but she knew that eventually she'd find somepony better. She didn't want to think about that right now. She just wanted to enjoy her set. She just wanted to lose herself in the energy of the crowd like she always did.
Her gaze eventually settled on a spindly thin blue unicorn with a conductor's baton for a cutie mark at the bar. She had the biggest grin on her face and she couldn't seem to hold her head still. As if she wanted to see everything at once. Vinyl found her staring overlong at the young pony and decided to do the neighborly thing and buy her a drink. When the bar mare gave the blue unicorn her drink Vinyl saw the two have a conversation about where it came from. The bar mare nodded at the D.J. and Vinyl nodded at the young unicorn. The barely legal smiled and downed the drink instantly. She made her way into the crowd and "danced" with half the ponies in the crowd in the first twenty minutes.
"It was her first show and she was so fuckin excited. I mean she was bouncin off the walls and shit." Vinyl sighed, and Octavia gave her a gentle squeeze to reassure her. "Well, I guess she reminded me of a younger me, so. . ." She exhaled deeply. "So I invited her into the sound booth.
Vinyl's mind drifted back to a time when she didn't have to think about not mentioning certain subjects in front of her marefriend's parents, or meeting bills on time, or where she'd wind up at the end of the night. When she could just drink what she wanted, and party when she wanted, and do who she wanted. No. No that wasn't true. She loved Octavia, she knew that. She just got a little bored from time to time. Well her job was to make sure the ponies had a good time. There wasn't anything wrong with her enjoying her job was there?
She had a bouncer ask the barely legal if she wanted to meet the D.J. and Vinyl saw her lose her shit all the way across the club. The barely legal was shown up to the sound booth and Vinyl presented her hoof to brohoof. The other unicorn pranced in place and babbled something to the effect that she was very fond of D.J. PON-3's music, and left her hoof hanging in air. Vinyl couldn't help but chuckle at the display and tilted her head for the unicorn to follow.
Vinyl had a bar back bring up two more double shots and they toasted before drinking. "Whas your name?" Vinyl called over the music.
"I'm Up Beat! This is actually my first show!" she shouted. "I'm finally eighteen today!"
Vinyl's grin split her face. "OOOOH SHIT! SOMEPONY NEEDS THEIR BIRTHDAY SPANKINS!"
"So we drank and we partied, and it was honestly the best show I've done in a while. I mean it, this bitch knew how to party."
The two spent the evening drinking and dancing. Up Beat danced with the fire of youth and Vinyl could barely keep up. She ground against any stallion who had the testicular fortitude to approach her, and Vinyl found herself dancing with a stray stallion or two. Up Beat couldn't seem to get enough of it.
Octavia rubbed her chin on the top of Vinyl's head and occasionally let out a noise to convey she was following along with the story. "So the set ended, but I was all wound up so. . . " Vinyl inhaled deeply, and Octavia gave her another reassuring squeeze. "So I invited her back to the V.I.P. room."
Vinyl saluted the crowd and the ponies slowly shuffled their way out of the bar. Up Beat hooted. "Woo! That was a fuckin blast! Hey thanks for a great time." She began to walk away.
Vinyl felt herself frown slightly. "Hey! Night doesn't have to end yet. Come have a drink with me."
Up Beat turned and she once again pranced in place. She attempted to calm herself down and cleared her throat. "Umm yeah sure cool." She said slightly red faced. The two went to the V.I.P. room and Vinyl's magic cracked the seal on a new bottle of Applejack Daniel's. She poured the two of them a glass and they toasted. Vinyl was once again impressed to see how well Up Beat handled her liquor. " This is your first show, how d'you drink so well?"
Up Beat fiddled with her mane as she looked away. "Well ya know, occasional sips at the folks liquor cabinet. A few parties here and there."
"Nice." Vinyl cheered and the two toasted their drinks again.
Vinyl was silent for a long moment. Octavia was going to kiss the top of Vinyl's head to get her to go on, but she shuffled out from her hooves and stared hard at the floor. "So we kept drinking and talking and. . . "
The two unicorns laughed raucously at a story Vinyl was telling. ". . . Yeah, I woke up two days later in Las Pegasus like 'Whuuut?' "
Up Beat laughed so hard she fell off of her couch and flopped, still laughing to the floor. Vinyl chuckled as she stumbled over to the drunken barely legal and helped her onto the couch with her. Up Beat rested her head against Vinyl as her laughs petered out and she looked up into Vinyl's face, eyes shining.
Octavia heard Vinyl choking back tears as she said, "and then she got a little too friendly and. . . And. . ." A stifling silence filled the room.
Before Vinyl could realize what was happening Up Beat had straddled her and was kissing her deeply. Vinyl's eyes shot open and she had to think for a moment how to get the other unicorn off of her. Before she could move however the other unicorn slipped down and planted her muzzle between Vinyl's back legs. Vinyl tried to call out for her to stop, but Up Beat began to run her tongue over Vinyl's marehood before she could say anything.
Her back arched as the mare massaged her nether regions with her tongue and for a moment she forgot what she was doing. When she heard herself moan it snapped her out of her daze and she roughly shoved the other mare away. Vinyl burst through the door and galloped out of the club. All she heard from behind her was, "Wait! I'M SO~" as she galloped.
Vinyl turned to Octavia, desperation in her voice and features. "But it was just for a second! I don't know what I was thinking. It just all happened so fast." She lunged at Octavia, wrapping her forelegs around her waist and burying her face in Octavia's stomach. "I'm so sorry baby, I'm so sorry!" She wept again.
"Vinyl," Octavia said in an airy voice of disbelief. Vinyl cringed as if she was about to be struck. Here it came. The recriminations, the anger, the hurt. Octavia was going to throw her out on her ass like she deserved. The three best years of her life, gone in an instant. "Is that all?" Vinyl's face went blank with shock. Octavia raised Vinyl's muzzle to look her in the eyes. "Wubber I know you see other ponies, I'm. . . Well I'm not okay with it, but it's something I've come to terms with. It's okay, I'm not mad at you."
Vinyl scampered off of the couch and stared in shock and anger at Octavia. She wanted to shout, but all that came out was a whisper, "Excuse you?"
Octavia shifted on the couch,a look of confusion on her face. "What?"
"YOU THINK I'VE BEEN FUCKIN AROUND?!" Vinyl finally managed to scream.
Octavia raised her hooves defensively. "Well don't you?"
"NO!" Vinyl's regret completely forgotten at the fact that her lover assumed she was sleeping around. "Why would you think that?" She screamed. All the concern on Octavia's face disappeared and was replaced by a condescending stare. Vinyl's indignation grew. "WHAT?!"
Then Octavia said the one thing nopony in any relationship ever wants to hear. Octavia said, "Let me see your phone."
Vinyl's indignation instantly evaporated. She looked around nervously. "Uuum . . . W-w-what does that have to do with. . . "
Octavia stood up and said unconcernedly. "Give me your phone." Vinyl tried to stammer out a protest but Octavia walked calmly over to Vinyl's saddlebag and pulled out her phone. Vinyl began to sweat bullets. She knew that she hadn't ever cheated on Octavia, but Celestia knows what filthy degenerate shit Octavia might see on her phone. Unicorns can operate phones by magic, but using a hoof on a touch screen is a terribly tricky procedure. Eventually though she managed to get to Vinyl's photo catalogue and pulled up a picture from three years earlier. "Explain this?"
Vinyl cringed at the picture and what it displayed her doing. "Well! I mean, that. That was."
Before Vinyl could think of an excuse, Octavia scrolled to a previous picture. "And this?"
"Okay that's, I mean I was." Octavia scrolled to another picture and her face that had been one of placid calm became indignant. She held the phone out to Vinyl who snatched it out of her hooves. "This is my phone! WHO'S TAKING THIS PICTURE?!"
Octavia put her face between Vinyl's and the phone giving her the same look of indignation, eyebrow raised high on her forehead. Vinyl shook her head. "But that was before we were together! Ask anypony! They'll all back me up that I've been a total cock block since I met you!"
Vinyl sighed and moved to the couch staring sadly at the floor. "Babe. You really thought I was fuckin around though?" Octavia saw a tear in the corner of Vinyl's eye. "Don't you believe me when I say I love you?"
Octavia sighed heavily. "Of course I do Vinyl, but we both know how your lifestyle is and." Octavia knew this was going to spark another argument but it had to be said. "Well you never want to talk about getting married so I just sort of figured."
Vinyl groaned hard as she got to her hooves. "UUUUGH not this again. TAVI! I'm just. . . I'm not fuckin ready for that yet. You know that!"
"WELL WHY NOT VINYL?!" Octavia said with more emotion than she would've preferred. Vinyl flinched back at the volume. "We already live together, we use the same bank account, and apparently you're not seeing other ponies so what is it Vinyl?!" She turned sharply around and failed to stifle her tears.
Vinyl wanted to go to her mare but that thought struck her. The more she tried to get up the more it dawned on her that she and Octavia had already acted like an old married couple, almost from the day they got together, and what's worse, she liked it. She always told Octavia not to wait up for her but was always happy when she did. She'd even caught herself blowing off a few bitchin after parties just to get home to her little celly belly. OH CELESTIA THEY HAD PET NAMES! Vinyl had always hated when couples had pet names and yet Vinyl hadn't called Octavia by name in years. Vinyl sighed hard.
Octavia felt a hoof on her shoulder. "You were really okay with me doin other ponies?"
Octavia rolled her eyes. "No love. I've never been comfortable with the idea of you being in anypony's hooves but mine. But I love you too much to lose you over something like that. So I just didn't think about it." She turned to Vinyl. "Honestly I just thought you were being polite never bringing anypony home with you."
Vinyl sighed hard. "FUCK it! I never wanted to marry you because I thought you'd come to your senses, but If you're willing to deal with the thought of me fuckin around I guess there's nothing I can do to drive you away."
Octavia gasped quietly and turned. "Vinyl? Are you saying what I think you're saying?"
Vinyl threw up her hooves in exasperation. "Yes damnit all!" She plopped down on the floor pouting, hooves crossed. " I'll fuckin mar~" She was tackled to the floor and buried alive in kisses.
After the most passionate love making session the two had experienced yet Vinyl asked almost as an afterthought. "So just to be clear, you're not cool with me banging other ponies?" Octavia growled at her. "JUST CHECKING I LOVE YOU!" Vinyl thought for a moment. "Wifey?'' Octavia went beet red, and turned into a blushing mess. "Nice save Vinyl." Vinyl thought loudly to herself.
