Harry had always believed that his parents were Lily and James Potter. However, one night in his first year at Hogwarts School, he finds a mirror that shows him his parents - but they're not who he thought they were.
It had been a month now since Shining Armor and Princess Cadance got married. The newly married couple were in Canterlot Castle that day, while Princess Cadence coming out of the Castle's Infirmary after learning that she was pregnant with her husband, and also learning from the best doctor there was that her first born would be a boy.
However, she soon came across a room that been calling her for a while, each time she passed it in fact. Today, she was finally going to enter that room along with Shining at her side.
"This is the room that Princess Celestia told everyone never to enter for any reason because of a mirror inside." Shining reminded his wife.
"Why don't we go through it? Auntie won't know." Cadance pleaded with her husband.
Regretfully, Shining Armor nodded, following his wife through the mirror, soon feeling like they were falling. They both landed in a court yard outside a huge mansion, where two people were stood looking distressed, until they caught completely off guard by the ponies' arrival.
"How did you get here?" The woman asked, having red hair and emerald green eyes.
"I am Princess Cadance and this is my husband, Shining Armor. We came from another world. May I ask, who are you?" Cadance responded.
"I am Lily Potter and this is my husband, James Potter. I can tell you are on the light side rather than the dark side as our ward allowed all three of you in." Lily replied, much to Cadance's surprise.
"How do you know?" Princess Cadance asked in shock.
"The wards that have been cast over our property can tell how many are present here." James told them.
"I see. What is the matter with you two?" Shining asked.
"We cannot have an heir for the family. After our latest escape from our enemy, Lily was cursed." James told them, holding his wife's hands in his.
Suddenly, Cadance understood why the mirror had been calling her all this time.
"When my son is born, he can become yours." Cadance offered, much to Shining's surprise but also his acceptance.
"Are you sure about that? We're complete strangers!" Lily asked.
"I am. If something were to happen to you, we can still look after him and you would have a child to call your own." Cadance told them.
"Well, when is your son due?" Lily asked.
"At the end of July." Cadance responded.
"That is a lot of time. We'll make you officially trusted associates of the Potter family which will allow you to access the family vault." James told them.
"Thank you." Princess Cadance replied with a smile.
Over the time, the newlywed couple became close friends Potters and some of the Order, but kept it secret from Dumbledore and Snape. Eventually, they assisted the Order on a mission, the mission where James and Lily were fatefully hit with the Killing Curse. The two ponies secretly took James and Lily's identities so no one would be any the wiser, expect for those on the mission with them - Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Minerva Mcgonagall, The Longbottoms and Arthur Weasley.
It was now 31st October 1981, a full year after Harry was born as the child of Cadance and Shining under the guise of Lily and James Potter. Disguised in her red haired and green eyed human form, Cadance was in the nursery with her infant son and her husband, also in their human disguises. The real Lily and James had chosen Harry to be their baby's name a long time ago, and it was honoured.
As far as most people knew, including Lord Voldermort, they were James, Lily and Harry Potter.
While she tried to settle her son, Cadance found herself missing Equestria. The pony world was much more peaceful than this world, even if her Aunt Luna was watching over her.
"Hush now, mama is here." Cadance told her baby, rocking his crib gently as Shining went downstairs.
"We are always watching you, my dear niece." Princess Luna's voice reminded her.
"Lily! It's him! Get Harry and get yourself out of here!" Shining called up to her from the stairs.
"Why, oh why must you betray us to this monster, Peter?" Cadance thought to herself as she picked up her son, only to be face-to-face with a non-human like face of a man.
"Stand aside, you silly little girl!" Lord Voldemort demanded.
"No! I won't let you have him!" Cadance retorted.
"Then I will have to kill you to get to your son! I will not let him be my downfall!" Lord Voldemort told her, his red eyes narrowed dangerously at her.
Cadance's resolve only steeled, clutching Harry tightly in her arms as she stared him down.
"Avada Kedavra!" Lord Voldemort said in a cold voice as a green light shot from the tip of his wand - and disappear against a dark blue magical shield.
"You shall not harm my niece or my great-nephew you monster!" The thundering voice of a dark blue Alicorn addressed the evil wizard as she emerged from the shadows.
"Who are you to try and stop me?" Lord Voldemort laughed at the new figure in the room.
"I am Princess Luna. I am here to protect my family and I will teach you to fear the night." Luna replied, calm but firm as her eyes flashed with power.
"I will not fear a silly horse - I am the greatest dark lord to ever walk this land! Now be gone!" Lord Voldemort told them laughed, going to try his spell again. "Avada Kedavra!"
A bolt of magic came at them as before, aimed towards Harry, but this time it rebounded on a pink shield - the same pink as Cadance's pelt - firing back at Lord Voldermort with twice the strength.
"No! This cannot be happening!" Lord Voldemort cried as he disappeared from his spot.
Before Cadance could even relax, she found herself wrapped in yellow magic and ripped from her son, her son being placed back in his crib while she was taken back to Equestria. This was Celestria's magic so Cadance knew she was in trouble.
"I am very disappointed in you, Cadance!" Celestria told her as she approached.
"I know, Aunty, but I wanted to see what was behind the mirror. It kept calling to me." Cadance explained.
"I have moved it far away from here and protected it with a spell. No pony will ever go near it again without me knowing." Celestia told her sternly.
"I also need to tell you something, Aunty. It's important." Candace told her aunt.
"And what may that be, Cadance?" Celestria asked her with cautious interest.
"I am a mother and my son is still in that world! My first born is still there!" Cadance told her, pleading with her.
"I am very sorry, Cadance, but I will keep watch on him. He is needed very much in that world." Celestia told her with sadness in her voice.
"Why can you not bring him here now, Aunty? He is a pony like us! Not a human!" Cadance pleaded more, more worried than ever.
"He will return when the time is right, but for now tell me what happened in that world." Celestria offered.
Cadance told her aunt about her time in that human world and about how magical it was, despite the brewing war.
"Cadence! I am so happy you're okay!" Shining said to her, running to her as he entered the room but stopped when he didn't see his son.
"Your son is needed there. He will save their world." Celestria said to them as she left the couple together in the room.
Back in England, where Harry had been left, Princess Luna was looking over her great-nephew. She knew that he would be a celebrity in this world, destined to defeat the Dark Lord who dared to try and kill him and her niece.
"Who are you? Where are Lily and James? Why are you holding my godson?" A male voice asked her, revealing a man standing in the doorway with his wand aimed straight at her.
"I am Luna and they are not here to raise him anymore. Who are you?" Luna responded.
"I am Sirius Black, Harry's godfather, friend and brother in all but blood to James Potter." Sirius Black said to her with his wand still aimed at her.
"I am only checking that he is unharmed. I must leave him in your care, but know that you are always being watched." Luna said to him, handing Harry over to Sirius and disappearing with her own magic.
"Hand him over, Black." Another mans voice said, belonging to the huge figure that had now appeared in the room.
"Where is he going to go, Hagrid?" Sirius snapped.
"I can not say because of Dumbledore's Order." Hagrid told.
"Take him on my bike and bring it back to me. I have a traitor to find." Sirius said, handing Harry and the key to his flying bike to Hagrid.
"Thank you, Sirius." Hagrid nodded simply.
With that said, Hagrid left Sirius alone in the mansion, taking the flying motorbike to Surrey, to a road known as Privet Drive, where there were several people waiting for him.
I do not own My little Pony as that belongs to Hasbro and Lauren Faust.
I also do not own Harry Potter as that belongs to Warner Bros and J.K Rowling.
I must also thanks The Broken mask for helping out with the story and editing.
A small, visibly underweight ten year old boy with messy black hair and green emerald eyes was laying on the floor next to the sofa, which was next to a fireplace that had been worn over the years. He looked at his cousin's watch to see what time it was and how long it would be until he turned eleven, drawing himself a birthday cake on the unclean kitchen floor while his cousin slept nearby.
"Just a few more minutes, then I'll eleven." The small boy said to himself.
However, at that moment he had a strange feeling, like something inside him changed and it made the world around him seem a little different, but he didn't know what.
Boom!
The small boy and his cousin were awake immediately, scared by the loud noise that was coming from outside their door, as if someone was knocking very loud in an ever worsening storm.
Boom!
"Where's the cannon?" His cousin quipped stupidly.
But, to their surprise, Uncle Vernon came running down the stairs with a rifle in his hand.
"Who's there?" He shouted through the door. "I'll warn you now - I am armed!"
There was a pause and then SMASH! The door was hit with such force that it was launched clean off its hinges and, with a loud deafening crash, landed flat on the floor. Outside the door was a giant of a man, his face was almost completely hidden by a long, shaggy mane of hair and wild, tangled beard, his eyes could just be made out, glinting like a black beetles under all the hair.
The giant man squeezed his way into the hut that the family were temporarily living in, stooping so that his head just brushed the ceiling. He bent down, picking up the door and fitting it easily back into it's frame, before looking at them all.
"Couldn't make us a cup o' tea, could yeh? It's not been an easy journey." The giant man said to them, in a Scottish accent.
He then strode towards the sofa, were the small boy's cousin sat frozen with fear.
"Budge up, yeh great lump." The giant man said to him.
The small boy's cousin squeaked and ran to hide behind his mother, who also was crouching, terrified, behind Vernon.
"An' here's Harry!" The giant man said to him.
The Small boy, Harry, looked up into the fierce, wild, shadowy face and saw that the beetle eyes were crinkled in a smile.
"Las' time I saw you, you was only a baby. Yeh look like your dad, but yeh'ev got yer mum's eyes, but now they are a little different." The giant man said to him, a little shocked.
Vernon made a funny rasping noise after he heard what the giant man said.
"I demand that you leave at once, Sir! You are breaking and entering!" Vernon told him, his face turning red.
"Ah, shut up, Dursley, yeh great prune." The giant man said.
He then reached behind the back of the sofa and quickly took the gun right out of Vernon hands, bending it into a knot easily, as if it been made out of rubber, and threw it into a corner of the room.
Vernon made another funny noise, almost sounding like a mouse getting trodden on.
"Anyway Harry a very Harry birthday to yeh, Got summat fer yeh here, I mighta sat on it at some point, but it'll taste all right" The giant man said to him as he reached into his pocket on the inside of his coat.
And, to Harry surprise, he pulled out a slightly squashed box, which Harry happily opened to find a large, sticky chocolate cake which on top said "Happy Birthday Harry" in green icing.
He was lost for word. His Aunt and Uncle had never gotten anything for his birthday. No cakes or birthday presents over the years he'd lived with them, they only got things for Dudley.
"Who are you?" Harry asked him, still shocked.
The giant chuckled.
"True, I haven't introduced meself. Rubeus Hagrid, Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts." The giant man now said to the group.
"I'm sorry, but I still don't really know who you are." Harry said honestly.
"Call me Hagrid, everyone does, an' like I told yeh I'm Keeper of keys at Hogwarts. Yeh'll know all about Hogwarts o' course." Hagrid told him.
"Er... no..." Harry replied.
Hagrid looked at Harry in a little surprise, before he turned his head to give the Dursleys a cold look.
"Sorry!" Harry apologised quickly.
"Sorry? It's them who should be sorry! I knew yeh weren't gettin' yeh letters but I never thought yeh wouldn't even know abou' Hogwarts, fer cryin' out loud! Did yeh never wonder where yer parents learnt it all? " Hagrid said to him and the Dursleys.
"All What?" Harry asked.
"ALL WHAT?" Hagrid exclaimed, his voice thundering in anger. "Now wait jus' one second!"
As Hagrid leapt to his feet in his rage, he seemed to fill the whole hut, while the Dursleys cowered against the wall.
"Do you mean ter tell me, that this boy knows nothin', abou' anything?" Hagrid asked the Dursleys, furious.
"I know something! I can, you know, do maths and stuff." Harry cut in.
"What about our world? I mean, your world, my world, yer parents world!" Hagrid asked him.
"What world?" Harry asked back.
"DURSLEY!" Hagrid boomed at the cowering family.
Harry could see his Uncle was very pale, almost like he had seen a ghost, and he heard him whisper something that he couldn't understand.
"But yeh must know about yer mum and dad? I mean, they're famous, You're famous." Hagrid said.
"What? My-my mum and dad weren't famous, were they?" Harry questioned.
"Yeh don' know... yeh don' know..." Hagrid keep saying to himself as he ran his fingers thought his hair and fixing Harry with a bewildered stare. "Yeh don' know what yeh are?"
"Stop! Stop right there, sir! I forbid you from telling the boy anything!" Vernon demanded in a small surge of bravery.
"You never told him? Never told him what was in the letter Dumbledore left fer him? I was there! I saw Dumbledore leave it, Dursley! An' you've kept it from him all these years?" Hagrid growled.
"Kept what from me?" Harry asked eagerly.
"STOP! I FORBID YOU." Vernon yelled at Hagrid.
Harry could see that his Aunt Petunia giving a gasp of horror.
"Ah, go boil yer heads, both of yeh. Harry - yer a wizard" Hagrid explained.
"I am a what?" Harry asked in shock.
"Harry, you're a Wizard and a thumping good one, once you train up a little." Hagrid repeated.
"No you made a mistake, I can't be... a-a wizard. I mean, I'm just... Just Harry." Harry replied.
"Well, Just Harry, did you ever make anything happen? Anything you couldn't explain, when you were angry or scared?" Hagrid questioned.
As he questioned, Hagrid pulled out a letter that looked like the others been sent to Harry but Harry had never got his hands on, so Harry was more than happy to take it from him.
Mr H Potter
The Floor.
Hut-on-the-Rock.
The Sea.
Harry opened the letter and started to read it out.
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore (Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc, chief. Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International Confed, of Wizards.)
Dear Mr Potter.
We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on 1st September we await your owl by no later then 31st July.
Your Sincerely
Minerva Mcgonagall
Deputy Headmistress.
"What does it mean by owl?" Harry asked.
"It like your Post but we use owls to deliver our mail." Hagrid told him.
So, Hagrid wrote something on a piece of of paper and gave it to an owl he was now holding, having appeared sometime while Harry was reading the letter.
"He's not going!" Vernon protested angrily.
"I'd like ter see a great muggle like you stop him." Hagrid retorted.
"A What?" Harry asked Hagrid, unfamiliar with the term.
"A Muggle. It's what we call non-magic folk like them, an it's your bad luck you grew up in a family of the biggest muggles I ever laid eyes on." Hagrid explained.
"We swore when we took him in we'd put a stop to that rubbish, swore we'd stamp it out of him! Wizard indeed." Vernon huffed.
"You knew? You knew I'm a... a Wizard?" Harry questioned.
"Knew? Of course we knew. How could you not be, my dratted sister being what she was? Oh, she got a letter just like that and disappeared off to that... that school, and came home every holiday with her pockets full of frog-spawn, turning teacups into rats. I was the only one who saw her for what she was... a freak!. But my mother and father, oh no, it was Lily this and Lily that, they were proud of having a witch in the family!" Petunia rambled, only pausing to take a breath. "Then she met that Potter at school and they left and got married and had you, and of course I knew you'd be just the same, just as strange, just as... as... abnormal... and then she went and got herself blown up and we got landed with you!"
.......
Elsewhere in Equestria, looking at a mirror that allowed them to watch everything through Harry's eyes and hear everything that was being said, was two Alicorns, a pink one who looked furious at what she was seeing and a white one who was doing her best to keep the first calm.
"What right does she have to tell my son that?!" The pink Alicorn exclaimed, her voice raised.
"Calm down, Cadance. I understand that you are angry over how they are treating him, but they will soon see the error of their ways." The white Alicorn replied in a soothing tone.
"I know, Aunt Celestia, but I haven't held him in so long and I just want to hold him tight and tell him how much she is lying." Candace replied, a little more calm.
"He will find out the truth soon, dear. I will tell him everything, where he is and where he truly came from, and then he will be able to choose where to live." Celestia continued.
"Thank you, Aunty. I can't wait to see my baby boy again." Cadance responded, looking back into the mirror.
"Everything will work out." Celestia voiced.
"What about Princess Luna?" Cadance asked her.
"She will help too, do not worry. She will be with me when we enter his dreams, once he is settles into the castle you told me about." Celestia explained.
"I will go and tell Shining Armor what has happened." Cadance told her.
"I will keep watch over him." Celestia nodded.
"I will be back with him soon." Cadance said, turning away and leaving the room.
"We should tell him soon, Sister, or he will react very badly indeed to the changes that are already happening." Princess Luna told her sister, appearing in the room and standing alongside Celestia once Cadance had gone.
"We will see about that, Sister, but for now let us see what happens with our great-nephew." Celestia told her.
"But we should help to bring his godfather here too. He is an innocent." Luna voiced.
"I will bring Harry when he decides that he wants to come with us, but we can also see about bringing their other friend." Celestia answered.
"We will enjoy that, Sister." Princess Luna smiled.
