Song of Silence

Sunset was met in front of the Wonder bolt statue by her friends while she wore some heavy winter gear despite being in the middle of a heatwave in july.

"Are you sure you have to go?" Rarity questioned.

"I wish I didn't have to but based on what Twilight was saying My old world may be dying. and I can't risk it spreading through the mirror. So Rainbow Dash I need you to promise me something." She said while going over everything in her camping bag.

"Whats up sunset? If you get in danger come and get you? No Problem. I'll find you and save you and bring you back in 10 seconds flat."

"NO!" Sunset yelled, "No... I need you to promise me... if there is a point of time that if I don't respond after 3 days... Burn the book and throw a Molotov cocktail and as much gasoline into the portal and blow it... This infection... it cannot get here."

"WHAT!" The girls all screamed in shock.

"Honestly that sounds like a fair plan." A new voice pierced the silence of shock. The rainbooms turned to see the Dazzlings. "Its brilliant except for one thing. Your friends, they wont be ok with damning their freind to Tartarus." Adagio said as she walked closer. Funnily enough they had some light winter clothes on as well.

"So what would you suggest then?" Sunset said Glaring at the sirens.

"Give the book to someone who would have a valid reason to. Say to ensure the a couple of sirens wont be able to come back." Adagio said flippantly.

"And why would I let you come with me."

"Because twilight and the other princesses arent there anymore." Aria challenged, Sunset flinched her eyes wide with fear.

"How did you know that... I didn't tell anyone about that!" Sunset accused.

"Because you just told us~!" She said overly excited before blushing and coughing "We are sorry for your loss." her voice was soft when she said that.

"Sunset... What's she mean." Applejack asked with Trepidation All eyes were on sunset as she held the book. as she sighed deeply.

"Her last entry was 3 weeks ago and is said as follows." Sunset began opening the book up.

Sunset, As I write this I attach an ancient ritual with it using the last of my magic and my strength. The tree of harmony has fallen as has Canterlot Castle and the Crystal empire been buried beneath the snow.
The foe you must face will be powerful and will show no mercy. I am the last of the Alicorns still standing yet night and day continue with out influence. This thing... it seeks the destruction of not only this world but all worlds. It is death given sentience. Applejack never came back and neither did Rainbow... Magic has gotten weaker now as i feel drained more than a changeling victim. I need to warn you though, This curse will give you a terrible burden bear, one of great pain but it will deny you death. I have grown too weak to cast it myself, however. There is a limit to how many time you can cheat it but i have faith you will find a way around it. Don't let the flames of hope die out. I know there are still creatures alive but this infection and Tartarus damning winter... it holds no signs of stopping till everything is gone. Don’t Lose hope and most importantly make sure to find food. There are monsters out there that corrupt everything they touch born from the infection, You will need to fight and survive, but luckily the crystal heart and tree of Harmony gave one last safe haven... well Safe isnt really a word you can say anymore but the creatures they are hurt by the energy pulses of these strange crystals... It’s getting harder to stay awake now. Hopefully I’ll see you when its all over Sunset. Hopefully we can enjoy the spring together.

“And that’s where it ends... I haven’t heard anything since.” Sunset explained.

“You can’t do this alone let us go with you!” Twilight cried out.

“She’s right you know.. you can’t but you don’t want to risk your friends lives. We are offering an alternative.” Adagio said coyly.

“And what, If I may be so bold, do you want in return?” Rarity inquired.

“2 things, 1 our way back home, and 2 if the alicorns are alive a royal pardon for everything and Diplomatic immunity, if they are dead then to be left alone with only an occasional visit to this world so we can have some food.” Aria Explained. Sunset looked pensive.

“If it helps sweeten the deal we brough extra supplies and Aria is really good with construction and fighting and metal working.” Sonata began to list off. “Adagio is good with cooking, and magic stuff as well as crafting things. And I can be really really sneaky and can help out with building things and cutting wood.” She said excitedly.

“You understand we will be fighting for our lives?” Sunset asked.

“Whoa there partner, are y’all actually considerin’ taking them?”

“Yeah what if this is just some kinda ploy to get rid of you?” rainbow accused. Getting agreements from teh rest.

“I think we should trust them.” Pinkie said suddenly. Her hair was deflated and she was surprisingly calm looking.

“Pinkie?” Sunset asked looking back at her saddened friend.

“I think we should trust them.. we don’t know whats going on over there. All we know is something happened causing what amounts to an apocalypse Sunset has a few chances to make it right, but no guarantee on her own... There is strength in numbers,” Pinkie began to explain. “So they want to go back to their home... for better or worse they are willing to fight whatever it is that hurt twilight and the rest of our friends... I... Whatever is over there needs to be stopped... especially if it has a chance at ruining everything else and coming here. It was strong enough to stop Princess Twilight Sparkle guys... Sunset, will need all the help we can give her.

“Which is also why if you need resources you’re going to let us know Sunset... If you need food I’ll make food and send it to you.”

“I suppose I could chop some extra wood occasionally and send it your way.” AppleJack said nodding.

“I’ll see if i can find some things to help you guys medically...” Fluttershy added.

“I’ll supply any tools you need.” Twilight said.

“Alright then. Adagio, Aria, Sonata?” Sunset said turning to the dazzlings. “Get ready... We leave yesterday.” She said The dazzlings nodded as Sonata Cheered and ran to their van grabbing the back packs and rations as Aria took a large bundle of Logs. They went through as Sunset took one last look at her friends.

“I’ll be back guys... Keep The school safe for me. Oh and tell trixie and wallflower I’m sorry.” She said before touching the portal.
