Months before the CHS school year ended, it was on a Thursday morning, Mr. Doodle gave the students their homework.

Mr. Doodle instructed them, “Okay class. I want your homework to be finished by tomorrow because you will have a test,” Everyone groaned including Rarity and Rainbow Dash, except Sci-Twi, “This homework I gave you will also be your study guide. Not only that, you will be working in pairs. So find a partner and get to work.”

Sci-Twi and Rainbow Dash teamed up and got started with their homework. As for Rarity, all the boys and girls were asking her to be her study partner since she’s really popular, but it was too much for her. Then, he spotted a young male teen with black hair and hoodie who was sitting all alone, working on his homework. So, she used her quick ninja skills to get passed them and sat right next to the young lad.

“Hi Amethyst,” She greeted him, “May I interest you being my study partner and help me with my homework please?” She asked, acting like she was in drama class.

The teen replied, “Sure. I’ll help.”

“Excellent, darling.” Rarity said.

The rest of their other classmates sighed and the school bell rang for lunch time. Rainbow Dash and Sci-Twi texted Rarity from their phones to meet her in the library after school. Rarity agreed to them and replied back with a text from her phone. Sci-Twi and Rainbow stood up and left the classroom.

“Will you meet me at the library after school today, darling?” Rarity asked.

Amethyst answered, “Of course I’ll be there, Rarity.”

“Sounds great. Don’t be late, darling. Au revoir.” Rarity said and left to meet with her friends outside.

“I’ll see you later, Rarity.” Amethyst said, and left the classroom to go to the cafeteria.

After school, Amethyst met Rarity in the library and sat down together to get started with their homework. Sci-Twi and Rainbow also came by and sat across from them to work on their homework as well. Minutes later, they were finished with their homework and studying. So, they all left the library and exited the school.

“Thanks for your help, darling.” Rarity said.

Amethyst replied, “Oh, you’re very welcome, Rarity. See you tomorrow.”

“Okay, darling. Bye.” Rarity waved him goodbye.

Amethyst walked straight home on his own while Rarity walked with the rest of her friends.

The next day, Amethyst, Rarity, Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow, and the rest of the students turned their homework to the desk of Mr. Doodle. Once that was settled, Mr. Doodle stood up and gave each and every one of his students their tests.

“You have until by the end of the bell to finish your tests.” Mr. Doodle instructed them and went back to his desk.

Everyone started taking their tests and took their time with it. Minutes later, the school bell rang and everyone in the class finished their test on time and handed their tests over on Mr. Doodle’s desk.
After Amethyst put his test on Mr. Doodle’s desk, he saw Rarity going to her locker and walked towards her.

“Hi, Rarity.” He greeted.

Rarity replied, “Oh, hi, uh... Amethyst. Right?”

“Yes, Rarity. I just want to ask you, how well did you do on the test?” Amethyst asked.

She answered, “Oh, I did just fine. I hope I “ace” the test.”

“I’m sure you did fine. We all did. It’s up to the teacher to determine our grades of our test today.” Amethyst encouraged her.

“You’re definitely right about that, darling.” Rarity said.

“Anyway, umm,” He stuttered and blushed, “I got nothing else to do after school. So, I was wondering... if you have the chance... do you want to hang out with me tonight?

Rarity blushed and thought about it. So she answered, “Darling, I would love to, but... I have other things to do after school today. Thanks for the offer, darling.”

“Oh, well umm... okay. I understand.” Amethyst replied.

“I gotta go, darling. My friends are waiting for me at the cafeteria. Au revoir.” She said and walked passed Amethyst to go to the cafeteria with her best friends.

Amethyst felt a bit sad and headed towards the mens bathroom. He went inside, and talked to himself, “It’s fine. I understand that she has other business to attend to,” He put his backpack down and looked into the mirror of his reflection and said, “At some point, I will find a way to repay her after I helped her study. I’m going to do whatever it takes to impress her.”

Then, someone said, “Um, you know I can hear you.”

Amethyst was alarmed and said, “Oh, my apologies. I didn’t know you were in here using the toilet. I’ll just leave right now.”

He washed his hands after that, took his backpack and left the bathroom to head straight towards the cafeteria. With an agenda on his mind, he was determined to repay Rarity. No matter what.

Another week has passed and Amethyst was at school. He noticed that Rarity wasn’t in her usual seat, nor her friends.

Curious, he approached the principal’s office and knocked on the door.

“Come in,” she said.

Amethyst opened the door and said, “Uh, excuse me Principal Celestia, I noticed Rarity and her friends aren't at school today. Did something happen to them?”

“The girls have some things to do elsewhere, so they're temporally transferred to another school. But once they're done, they'll be back,” Principal Celestia informed Amethyst.

“Oh, okay,” Amethyst replied. Once he exited her office, Amethyst had a disappointed look on his face.

That weekend, at the comic store that Amethyst works at, his boss who’s Flash Sentry’s uncle had told his employees that he needed someone to drive up to town called Middleton to collect a special comic that he ordered, because he had plans and couldn't go there himself. So, Amethyst and his co-worker, Sapphire Night, volunteered to drive up there to get there.

So the two drove up to Middleton, with Sapphire behind the wheel. They arrived, and after a bite to eat from Bueno Nacho, they made their way to the comic store to pick up their boss's comic.

As they were leaving, Sapphire decided to take a look at the graffiti art on the buildings. So after agreeing to meet back at the store in an hour, Sapphire went in one direction, taking the comic for safe keeping, while Amethyst went in another direction.

Just then, he heard a commotion. Amethyst saw a giant robot that looked like a hydra, and a few smaller robots on a rampage. Amethyst, being at a safe distance, saw the robots attacking. But then, he saw the Rainbooms in a battle with the robots, plus the Ninja Turtles, April, Casey, Karai, Shinigami, Keno, Blade Swipe and the CMC. Along with the famous Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable.

“Who are these people?” Amethyst thought to himself.

Just then he noticed Rarity fighting a few of the robots with sickles, then she created a diamond shield to protect herself. But what Rarity didn't notice was a robot coming behind her. Amethyst saw it and was ready to save Rarity, and maybe use that moment to ask her out on a date. But before he could take action, Applejack jumped out and destroyed the Mouser that was about to attack. Amethyst could only watch as Rarity hugged Applejack in gratitude. Amethyst was in shock and hurt as Rarity hugged the cowgirl. He then left as the fight continued.

Amethyst met up with Sapphire Night, who noticed his attitude.

“You okay?” Sapphire asked.

“Let's just head home,” Amethyst said, feeling down.

Sapphire replied, “Alright.”

The two made their way to Sapphire’s car to head back to Canterlot. But what neither of them knew was that they were being watched from the rooftops.

As the night settled, Amethyst kept thinking and dreaming about what happened at Equestria Land. He witnessed how Rarity looked at Applejack and it made him feel very jealous, and angry. He got up from his bed and tried to think about what he will do next.

Amethyst went to the cave right outside Camp Everfree and started using his magic to gather the materials he need to create something. He motioned his arms and danced while pieces of wood started levitating and swirled around in motion to the center.

Being nice was my pastime

But I've been hurt for the last time

And I won't ever let another person take advantage of me

The anger burns my skin, third-degree

After he created his staff, he found something glowing inside the cave. So he went inside and found a crystal, glowing neon green as Amethyst started approaching towards the light.

The price that I'm willing to pay is expensive

Amethyst grabbed the crystal and placed it on top of staff, activating its wicked power and the dark magic inside him transformed into an evil persona of himself. He wore a long, black jacket and a crown along with armor that resembled King Sombra.
