Forgettable Tale of a River Troll

Once upon a time there lived a troll
He went by the name Fishing Pole
He was ill-mannered, his mind dull
His stomach was never truly full
He crawled out from his stinking hole
He only went down the river for a stroll
If only his day were just a little more droll
His sanity would not have taken such a toll

The CMCs got together for a friendship school assignment to answer what is probably the easiest question ever asked for their school (with the usual "write 5 paragraphs worth of story" fluff). They decide to ask the local hermit living in the forest if she can help with that assignment. Treasuring her private life somewhat, she falls back to an old acquaintance from said past. That acquaintance, a river troll, will complicate that question tenfold.

How did a troll come to know a zebra? What happened during her stay in the Wetlands? Will the CMC get an answer that won't result in an F? Will the troll blurt out what he had for breakfast? Just how stupid is a river troll?

Maybe. Maybe all of that will be answered.
