Chapters FlameStar was a wandering unicorn who had no friends whatsoever. After arriving in Canterlot, he met Twilight Sparkle, The Princess of Friendship, who points him to Ponyville. During his stay in Ponyville, he meets the defenders of Equestria and makes friends with them. He then meets Luna in a nightmare who helps him along his journey with his fear. He then defeats and reforms 3 deadly villains using compassion as he thought turning them back to stone was way too cruel, especially since one of the villains is a child and a pony. Now, the unicorn is living his best life in Ponyville with his own house and his own monument in the castle gardens in Canterlot.
"This is the life..." FlameStar sighed. "Saved Equestria, Met the defenders, the Lord of Chaos, and was the sisters' guest of honor at their Festival. Can this get any better?" Just then Pinkie bursted through the door!
"FlameStar!" Pinkie yelled.
"Dang it Pinkie!" FlameStar groaned. "How many times do I have to remind you to knock?! I'm running out of doors." FlameStar looked at his stack of broken and destroyed doors. "Did you need something though?"
"I'm actually here to deliver a message." Pinkie handed off a scroll to FlameStar.
"Dear FlameStar, " FlameStar read aloud. "Thanks again for rescuing Equestria from the villains. We've prepared a feast in your honor as a way of showing our gratitude to you. Come to the Castle of Friendship. Bring your friends along too! Signed, The Princess of Friendship. "
"A feast?! Now that's my kind of Party!" Pinkie squealed. "I'm wondering why they didn't ask me to help host the party..."
"They didn't ask you to help plan the party?" FlameStar asked surprised. "But you're the resident party pony! And what about your boyfriend?"
"Cheese Sandwich?" Pinkie said. "Yeah. he's out on another journey. I usually handle Ponyville."
"That's odd..." FlameStar pondered, now feeling suspicious. Pinkie has made it blantly obvious that she's the expert on optimism, and for Twilight to not tell Pinkie to help plan the party just fueled his suspicion. "The Invite said to bring your friends." FlameStar recalled. "Ok, Pinkie Pie. You're coming with me. We're going to solve this mystery."
"Ooh! Can I be--"
"Yes... you can be Watson." FlameStar chuckled. "But first I need to suit up." FlameStar ran upstairs and came back with a short sleeved hoodie. "Let's roll." FlameStar and Pinkie set off for The Castle of Friendship. While they walked, FlameStar noticed the streets were extremely quiet. Only a few ponies were out and about. "At least the streets aren't empty..." FlameStar thought. Finally, the two ponies arrive at the castle and Pinkie already disapproves something.
"If this is a party for you, why aren't their party decorations or anything that resembles you?" Pinkie asked.
"We're about to find out." FlameStar said. He then knocked on the door and the door opened on its own. "Twilight? It's me, FlameStar!" He cried. "The pony who stopped the trio? I'm here for the party!" No one answered. No one replied. Just errie, creepy, silence. "Is anypony home?"
"Psst. FlameStar..." a voice called out.
"Who's there?!" FlameStar shouted, standing at attention.
"Keep it down... it's me, Fluttershy." She said. "Our friends are in danger. Some shadowy pony took them somewhere and I don't know where."
"Do you know anything that might help?"
"You shouldn't have come here... that pony keeps asking for you."
"But what about FlameStar's party?" Pinkie asked.
"That's probably what they said to get anypony here." Fluttershy replied.
"Well I'm getting to the bottom of this." FlameStar said bravely. "Besides, I can burn this castle down in 20 seconds flat if anything happens."
"No! Don't!" Fluttershy yelled, grabbing FlameStar's hoof.
"We won't get anywhere if we don't confront this pony." FlameStar said. He then walked into the throne room where a pony was sitting in one of the thrones.
"Ah... are you the one they call... FlameStar?" The pony asked. This pony looked nothing like what Fluttershy described but then again, this is Fluttershy. She probably couldn't get a good look cause she probably was peeing herself out of fear.
"Yes. I am FlameStar. Now why is Ponyville almost deserted? And why is the Castle of Friendship empty when I was invited here for a party? And why wasn't Pinkie Pie involved in the planning? She's the town's party planner!"
The pony just said. "'In due time, dearest FlameStar... but answer me this. Shouldn't Equestria be undone and redone unto glory?"
"I saved Equestria from the 3 most threatening villains! If anything its already unto glory." FlameStar answered.
"And what of those... Alicorn Princesses? Should somepony else take the throne as the princesses do nothing in a time of crisis?" The Pony said.
"Those 'Useless Princesses' have helped me address a lingering fear of mine." FlameStar remarked. "I wouldn't be where I am if it wasn't for them."
"But you are aware of Celestia of course. She is one of the most useless princesses Equestria has ever seen... it's a good thing Twilight Sparkle took the throne." The pony said. "Last Question. Will you surrender your magic and be reborn like me..?" FlameStar just laughed.
"Me? Give up my fire? No way!" FlameStar said in a fit of laughter.
"It doesn't matter how you respond. You'll suffer the same fate as those other ponies..." the pony said. Then their eyes started to glow Purple. "Goodbye, FlameStar...." FlameStar then fell through the floor and Into a cavern! "You're in the Friendship Catacombs. The 'Twig of Hate' made these. No one knows this place even exists."
"'Twig of hate?' Oh... The Tree of Harmony." FlameStar corrected.
"Whatever! I hope you enjoy your last few moments of free will..." The pony cut off leaving FlameStar to explore the catacombs. As he kept walking he heard a voice calling to him.
"Hey... are you FlameStar?" The voice said.
"Yes..? Who are you?" FlameStar asked.
"I'm a Fairy. I can help you if you help me" She says. "I think I'm in between dimensions?"
"Hmm... let me see if I can track you." FlameStar said. "Do you have body heat?"
"Yeah..?" She said. FlameStar's horn glowed as he searched for signs of heat. He then saw a bit of heat that grew hotter and hotter as he got closer.
"Yeah, I think you're there!" She cried. FlameStar then felt along the wall and bucked off a crate. He then saw the fairy. She was small. She had a beautiful build, very very blonde hair, and a leaf dress. Her shoes were Sunlight yellow flats with dandelions on the tips. For some reason, the Fairy looked nothing like a pony at all!
"Thanks for the help. I don't think we had a proper hello." The fairy twirled and posed cutely "My name is Alura!"
"Nice to meet you Alura. I'm FlameStar!"
"Yes. I've heard about you." Alura said. FlameStar's horn glowed in a threatening way.
"Were you the one who sent that pony guy?" FlameStar asked suspiciously.
"No but I might have an idea..." Alura said. "C'mon, we gotta get out of here." Together, the 2 friends explored further down into the catacombs when they heard struggling.
"This is not the way to treat a lady!"
"Oh c'mon. How were we supposed to know this was a trap?"
"That sounded like Rarity and... Discord?" FlameStar said suprised.
"Are they your friends?" Alura asked.
"Yeah!" FlameStar answered. "They must've been tricked by that pony as well." FlameStar and Alura went over to the 2 and saw them wrapped up.
"FlameStar! Be a darling and get us down, please?" Rarity asked.
"Yes please! No one wraps up the Lord of Chaos!" Discord said. "Well they did... obviously but they won't get away with it!"
"Brace yourselves. I'll cut you down!" FlameStar fired a fire strike to cut down Discord and Rarity.
"Thanks ever so much, FlameStar." Rarity said.
"Now, can we get out of here now?" Discord said.
"Yeah. I'm wondering where is Twilight..." FlameStar pondered. "This letter was signed by her."
"I think you and I both know that isn't Twilight, darling."
"You're right..." FlameStar said. Just then Alura found something.
"Over here guys! We can bust this crate down and go up the stairs!" Alura said. FlameStar then fired a beam destroying the crate as the unlikely team ran up the stairs to get to the throne room... or so they thought. The staircase they found went to the castle balcony.
"Stay on guard. That pony might still be here..." FlameStar said. Just then, the pony from earlier appeared in front of the friends.
"Why do you still have your... magic? Why haven't you joined me in dark glory? Come, I can aid you..."
"Look I don't know who or what you are but you need to free whoever you tricked and ponynapped." FlameStar ordered.
"You may call me... Darklight, in the brief moments that reside to you."
"Great, Darklight. Now we can get to know each other!" FlameStar said. "So what's your favorite color? You like long romantic cruises? What's the source of your power? You can skip the first 2 questions if you want.
"The source of my power isn't yours to know about. If anything, I'd like to see your powers in action." Darklight explained. "Ursa minor, Come Forth!" An Ursa Minor stared down at FlameStar. FlameStar stared it down... then showed it a milk silo which to the Ursa it looked like a baby bottle.
"There you go buddy... drink up..." FlameStar cooed. "Now what say you go back to your mommy? She must miss you as much as you miss her." The Ursa Minor blew a raspberry at Darklight before stomping on home.
"So you tamed an Ursa Minor. Bravo. I'm impressed. I can assure you, it's far from the deadliest creature of the realm." Darklight said smugly. "I guess I could reveal my true form."
"Darklight... are you an unreformed Changeling?" FlameStar asked. Darklight didn't answer. Instead, he unfurled in dazzling light to reveal a fairy similar to Alura. Unlike Alura, Darklight had a royal purple robe with a crown and a special purple jewel in it. He wore work boots and looked like a king.
"My Cousin?!"
"Cousin?" FlameStar asked.
"Why couldn't FlameStar have left you inside the wall where I put you? If you get in the way of my ambition, you won't share my glory as family..." FlameStar gestured to Discord to do something when the fairy stopped him entirely. "Ah ah ah Discord. I wouldn't advise using Chaos on me. For I know all the ways to nullify chaos."
"How many times did I tell you to stop? You need to stop now!" Alura yelled.
"No way Alura. Oh and by the way, My name isn't Darklight. I am Prince Noir!" He said. "Gaze upon Canterlot, you useless ponies!" Everyone looked to see Canterlot in black smoke.
"The Storm King?!" Rarity exclaimed.
"No." Noir said. "That was I!" He then flew higher to the top of the castle. "By the time I'm done... all those ponies will be loyal to me. Then I'll burn Equestria to the ground and like a Phoenix, itll rise up again with me as the new ruler!"
"What have you done with Twilight?!" FlameStar screamed.
"Sorry, little pony, Your Princess is in another castle!" Noir said, he then started to glow. "You're pretty troublesome, FlameStar. I hope you enjoy your new role in life as a Nopony as I bend this kingdom to my own whim! The birth of new kingdom of Darkness!" The light glowed brighter and then Shadow like hands descended and grabbed on to the castle. They shook the foundation and within moments, The castle started to rise.
"Discord, can you contact Rainbow Dash?!" FlameStar asked.
"Here you go." Discord gave FlameStar a banana.
"Seriously, Discord?!" FlameStar said. He then heard the "banana" ring. "Hello?"
"FlameStar, what's going on at the Castle of Friendship?" Rainbow was on the other line. "The Wonderbolts and I are seeing it rise!"
"Rainbow Dash, get as many pegasi here at the castle!" FlameStar ordered. "We need to get everyone out this castle, stat!" It wasn't even a minute later and Rainbow Dash was already storming the castle with all the pegasi from Cloudsdale as well as the Wonderbolts. Down below, Fluttershy found Sunburst and they both fled the castle. "C'mon!" FlameStar said "Jump on the Pegasus cluster!" FlameStar, Rarity, Discord and Alura all jumped onto the pegasi and they all flew off into the sky. They all watched helplessly as the Castle of Friendship rose higher and higher. Then something shiny caught Alura's eye.
"FlameStar, look!" Alura pointed to a crown like thing. Upon looking closer, it was Twilight's Crown!
"Twilight..." FlameStar flared up in anger. He then leaped onto Rainbow Dash. "Get me to the Castle." FlameStar said. Rainbow flew to the castle while dodging the Shadow figures. After getting close, FlameStar jumped off and ran toward Noir which was the WORST thing he could've done. "GIVE BACK THE PRINCESS, YOU LITTLE RUNT!!" FlameStar yelled in a fit of rage. He leaped to Noir and Noir caught FlameStar in midair.
"I told you, didn't i?" Noir said. "I was gonna remake Equestria into Darkness. Don't get in my way you troublesome pest." He then did a flicking gesture sending FlameStar away. He then fell onto a magic mirror and he vanished.
"FLAMESTAR!" Alura cried. She then separated from the pack and followed FlameStar into the mirror. What they didn't know was that mirror led to an alternate world and there was a mechanism to keep it from closing for 30 moons. The mirror hit the ground and the mechanism shattered, much to the others dismay. Meanwhile, Noir moved the Castle to Canterlot and dropped the castle near it. The others just stared at the broken remains of the mirror.
"FlameStar..." Fluttershy said.
"He went out trying to rescue Twilight..." Rainbow said.
"His efforts won't be in vain." Sunburst assured. "But wasn't Twilight the one who created the mechanism to the mirror?"
"Yeah." Fluttershy answered. "We need to find Twilight and she can probably fix it."
"We obviously can't wait 30 moons for him." Rarity said. "Discord, you can rip through dimensions, can't you grab him back?
"Don't look at me." Discord said. "I can do almost anything using chaos magic but I don't know where he went."
"Well, we can't just stand here feeling sorry for ourselves!" Rainbow said. "We need to do what we can now to stop that guy."
"I just hope FlameStar is ok there..." Fluttershy said.
"Urgh... my head..." FlameStar groaned. "Where... where am i..? I feel terrible..." After a few minutes of lying on the ground, FlameStar finally came to. "Wait... seriously though. WHERE AM I?" FlameStar sat down and pondered. As he looked around, he was in the bushes. Nothing looked familiar to him and THAT is saying something. FlameStar has traveled all over Equestria and Beyond, and the fact that he noticed a place that isn't familiar to him just made him more anxious. After some time thinking, he put if off when he remembered something, or in this case someone more important: Alura. She was remotely FlameStar's only hope at stopping Prince Noir. "That little prick stole the Castle of Friendship and dropped it in Canterlot." FlameStar grumbled. "Oooo.... when I find that prick, things won't be sunshine and rainbows..." FlameStar spied an huge building nearby, and a horse statue to boot. "If that building doesn't scream 'Equestria,' I don't know what does." With that, FlameStar ran out of the bushes and into the street. He thought someone in there could help him get to Canterlot and hopefully a way to stop Prince Noir. 2 creatures that walked on 2 legs just stared at FlameStar running on all fours when a fiery haired girl stopped him.
"Who are you?" She asked. FlameStar looked up.
"I'm FlameStar." He answered. "Why is everypony walking on 2 legs?"
"Its how everyone walks here." She answered. She then extended a hand to FlameStar. "C'mon. I'll teach you how." FlameStar blushed slightly then took the girl's hand and he stood up. It felt very weird to FlameStar and it was hard to keep his balance.
"Ack! Are you sure this is how ponies walk here?" FlameStar asked. "This is very odd..." it was quite the struggle just to stay up.
"Don't worry. I've got you. Come this way." FlameStar nervously tried to walk on 2 legs. He was wobbly at first but then he got used to it. Eventually he was able to walk all on his own. "There you go!" The girl cheered.
"Wow... never did this before in my travels." FlameStar said.
"So... you're from Equestria." The girl said.
"How'd you know?"
"I'm from Equestria too. I walked the same way you did when I arrived here. My name's Sunset Shimmer."
"Nice to meet you, Sunset. I'm FlameStar."
"What brings you here?" Sunset asked. FlameStar pondered a bit more, then his memory caught up with him.
"I remember now! I went up to Prince Noir... then he grabbed me and flung me away and then everything went black. Next thing I knew I woke up in those bushes over there." FlameStar looked at the statue next to him.
"Sounds like you're not supposed to be here." Sunset remarked. "That statue is your way back to Equestria. Just walk up to the wall." FlameStar walked up to it and as he tried to walk into the wall, it didn't work. FlameStar gave Sunset Shimmer a very disapproving look.
"Is this some kinda joke, Shimmer?" FlameStar asked annoyed.
"No, I'm serious! I swear!" Sunset said. She then felt around and realized FlameStar was right. "No... where's the portal..?!" She panicked. "WHERE'S THE PORTAL?!" Sunset started to hyperventilate. "Ok stay calm... I'll ask Twilight for help!"
"Princess Twilight?" FlameStar asked. "She went missing when the Castle of Friendship was sieged by Prince Noir... all that I saw was her crown... *gasp!*" FlameStar remembered a critical detail. "Sunset wait! I know how to help. I have a friend around here who knows about this. Her name is Alura." Sunset jumped.
"Alura?! I know that person." Sunset answered. "She went into the school. Maybe you can find her. I'll see if I can figure this out." With that, FlameStar ran into the school but before he opened the doors, he could see himself in the glass and what he saw shocked him throughly.
"What... am...I?" FlameStar stuttered. He then felt his forehead and noticed his horn is gone! "My horn! Without my horn, I can't use the magic from my cutie mark!" FlameStar exclaimed. "Do I even have a cutie mark?!" FlameStar ran into the school and it was all quiet. No one was around. He then saw 2 doors with the same symbol. "Looks like the bathroom. But which one do I use...? The blue one or the pink one..?" FlameStar pondered for a while when a boy walked out the bathroom. "There's my answer." FlameStar walked in and he wanted to know if he had a cutie mark. Making sure no one was around, he pulled down his pants slightly to try and look at his "flank" and as he predicted, he didn't have a cutie mark which confirmed the creatures he met aren't Ponies in anyway shape or form. "That's. Just. Great. No cutie mark plus no horn means no fire." FlameStar groaned. "Although these clothes look nice..." FlameStar gave an experimental tug on his clothes and he felt content with what he had. He was so caught up, he nearly forgot about Alura. "Crap! I need to find Alura!" FlameStar sprinted out and looked around for Alura. He then spied a girl talking to who looked like Fluttershy. She wore a sunlight yellow hoodie with a dandelion dress. She also had a yellow hat and very light pink hair.
"Oh my. You like nature too?" Fluttershy asked.
"Of course! I love all types of life." FlameStar walked up to the two girls.
"Hello there." FlameStar greeted. Fluttershy just ducked away. "Oh not again." FlameStar sighed, mildly annoyed.
"FlameStar! I'm glad I found you!" The girl said,
"Is that you Alura?"
"Of course. I followed you here to make sure you're safe." Alura said.
"You shouldn't have come here. There's no way out of this place." FlameStar said.
"You're kidding!" Alura cried.
"I'm serious." FlameStar said. "There is one girl I ran into who might be able to help us get back to Equestria." Later, FlameStar and Alura went back to the statue where Sunset found an answer to get to Equestria.
"Ok FlameStar. I have a way to get you back home." Sunset pulled out what looked like an Amulet. "This is the Magic Amulet that I used to take down a mighty foe. I'm not sure what magic will be needed but use this to take a bit of the magic."
FlameStar's pupils sparked a small flare when he had an Idea. "The Magic of Friendship!" FlameStar exclaimed. "We need the magic from the bearers of The Elements of Harmony!"
"It sounds cheesy when you put it that way but what have we got to lose?" Alura said.
"How does the Magic work in this world?" FlameStar asked.
"When magic is used, we 'pony up" and get ears, tails and wings." Sunset explained. "It happens when we play music but the magic you probably need is when we're showing the truest sides of ourselves.
"Thus the Elements..." FlameStar said. He then spied a barn not to far from the school. "I think I should start with Honest Applejack."
"Once you got all the magic, we can figure out how to put it Into the portal." Sunset remarked.
"Right!" With that, FlameStar and Alura began their long journey together through the strange world to collect the magic from the Elements and get to Equestria to stop Prince Noir...
FlameStar and Alura arrived at the barn closeby. The mission was clear: get some magic from the Elements to power the portal again. Alura opened the barn gate slightly and peered inside.
"You think Applejack is in here?" Alura asked.
"I think she is." FlameStar said. "I know all of the Elements back in Equestria. This shouldn't be no different. " FlameStar pushed the gate open and he and Alura went inside. When they did, they saw a bunch of animals on the farm but one animal in particular really scarred him: Applejack had a PONY in one of the stables. "No..." FlameStar said frightened. "How could she?! To her own kind?!" FlameStar started sobbing. Alura tried to comfort the crying boy but to no avail.
"Maybe since you're a pony from Equestria, you can communicate with him?" Alura suggested.
"Its worth a shot." FlameStar went over to the pony and tried to communicate. To Alura, it was a bunch of neighs, nickers, and a whole lot of other horse noises. "So it was hard to read but he said 'my owner is out right now. Beware of her nephew though...'" this made FlameStar scratch his head. When he was in Ponyville, he never met a nephew to Applejack. The only way that would've worked was if Big Mac and Sugar Belle had a kid. And sure enough some boy found FlameStar and Alura in the barn. The pony neighed in a "I told you so" way.
"What did he say now?" Alura asked.
"He said 'that's the nephew. You're screwed.'" FlameStar translated.
"What the damn diddly squat are you doing in my barn?!" He said.
"Well I never." FlameStar said. "There really is another Apple."
"Not from 'round here, are ya boy?"
"No. I'm from a world of mythical creatures and pastel equines." FlameStar said.
"And I'm from a realm of light." Alura said.
"Wait, really?" FlameStar asked.
"I don't recollect liking your type." The apple said. "Therefore, I conclude I should kick your butt all around this barn like there's no tomorrow!"
"What the heck is he moaning about?" FlameStar thought. "Makes me wonder if you're parents were related before they were married." FlameStar said.
"THATS IT! I'M GONNA GIVE YOU A WHOOPIN'!!" He pulled out a sharp pitchfork and tried to stab FlameStar! FlameStar ran around the barn, looking for a way to stop the boy.
"Of all the times I don't have my magic..." FlameStar groaned. He then remembered a story Applejack told him when magic was being drained from Equestria.
"I helped out Twilight by telling her to think like an Earth Pony and not an Alicorn."
"Of course..." FlameStar said. He then spied some barrels by the entrance. Sprinting, he grabbed the barrel and used it as a shield, as the farm boy tried to puncture FlameStar. FlameStar shoved the barrel over his head and grabbed another one and rolled it to him. The boy flipped over and fell Charlie Brown style. FlameStar cleaned his hands off and observed the damages.
"FlameStar, you can tame Ursa Minors, shoot fire, and fight?!" Alura squealed. "Is their anything you can't do?"
"HISTORY WILL VINDICATE ME!" The boy screamed. FlameStar just dropped the last barrel on him in response.
"Well now we're back at square 1." FlameStar groaned. "If I were a farm guy, where would I be..?"
"Probably farm work no doubt." Alura suggested. "Although I'd take some time to have some fun." This clicked something in FlameStar when he was back in Equestria.
"If she wanted to have some fun, she could've went somewhere with her friends."
"Y'all might wanna... try the mall then..." the boy moaned. As much as FlameStar wanted to dismiss him and kick him square in the nuts, he knew it was his only lead.
"Um... what's a mall?" FlameStar asked.
"That large building in the city." The boy moaned. FlameStar and Alura looked over at the city and saw the large building.
"Thanks... I guess..." FlameStar said. "C'mon, Alura. We need to look in there."
"But isn't it in the city?" Alura asked. "How are we supposed to get there? It sounds too far to make it on hoof." Just then Sunset Shimmer pulled up in her car.
"Hey guys! How's it going on Element finding?" Sunset asked. The 2 friends just shook their heads. "Oh... I see... maybe the mall would cheer you up. I'm going there now. Need a lift?"
"Yes please, Sunset!" Alura said. Sunset spied the knocked out farmer.
"Um... so what did--"
"Hush, my dear, Sunset. Its better for everypony if you don't know." FlameStar said. Sunset understood what FlameStar said but was concerned for her friend.
"We... need to talk. Get in." Sunset said. FlameStar and Alura entered the car and Sunset drove off to Canterlot City.
"DAMN YOU FLAMESTAR!!" The boy screamed. FlameStar just rose his butt disrespectfully at him.
"What did you want to talk about, Sunset Shimmer?" Alura asked.
"You know how in Equestria, your folks are ponies?" Sunset asked. "Well these people aren't ponies. They're humans."
"That explains why I don't have my Cutie Mark. It's very special and holds immeasurable magical power." FlameStar explained.
"It allows him to shoot fire from his horn!" Alura said.
"Well here in this world. Unicorns or Pegasi don't exist." Sunset explained. "And we say everybody here rather than everypony."
"Ahh" FlameStar said. "Got it. This should help to blend in some more." Alura then spied the huge building from earlier.
"Is that the mall?" Alura said. "Its so big and beautiful!"
"That's it Alright." Sunset answered. "I hear Rarity is shopping here today. Something about a fashion show or something..?"
"Ok then Alura. New plan. We'll find Rarity and get the Element of Generosity." FlameStar explained.
"Got it!" Alura said.
Meanwhile back in Equestria...
Canterlot has been taken over by Prince Noir! Now he sits in the castle of friendship and with no sign of Twilight anywhere. A small resistance had been created to fight Prince Noir while trying to get the mirror up and running again to bring FlameStar home.
"Anything, Starlight?" Fluttershy asked.
"I think this will work." Starlight replied. "Sunburst, lend a hoof?" Starlight and Sunburst both tried to cast the same spell they used to fix the Crystal Heart to fix the mirror. Just when they thought they had it, the mirror shattered again...
"Dang it." Rainbow said, frustrated. "Discord, are you sure you can't fix this?" Discord was wearing a builder's uniform.
"What do I look like to you? A handyman?" Discord asked. "Chaos cant fix everything y'know." Everyone groaned.
"FlameStar... where are you..?" Rainbow sighed.

Hey guys thanks for reading this part of the story. I'm going on hiatus for a while but when I come back, I'll finish another chunk of this story. Little by little am I right? This will be good. See ya soon!
Sunset pulled up at the parking lot to the Canterlot Mall. As she, FlameStar and Alura stepped out, they were in awe at how large it was. Alura had never seen something like this and FlameStar, who explored the world, couldn't believe his eyes.
"Who knew that the world could be this wonderful?!" Alura exclaimed.
"Is this your first time out the house?" Sunset asked jokingly.
"Actually. Yes. I never left my realm until my cousin came to Equestria and stole the Friendship Castle."
"That's rough, buddy." FlameStar said. He looked at Sunset. "Rarity is supposed to be in this place?"
"That's what she told me." Answered Sunset.
"That's all I need to know." FlameStar said. Before he could run in, Alura grabbed his hoodie and held him back.
"Hang on, FlameStar!" Alura said. "Do you even know where Rarity might be?!"
"No clue!" FlameStar said nonchalantly. Alura just shook her head.
"Rarity said she'd be window shopping at the fanciest boutique store in the mall today."
"The fanciest hmm?" FlameStar said. "If I remember Canterlot in Equestria, then I think we got a lead as to where is Rarity...
Back in Equestria, Prince Noir found FlameStar in the other world.
"So my nemesis still lives..." Noir mumbled. "What a stubborn horse that FlameStar..." he peered over to an artifact that can kill a victim. "No... let him run around some more... I think that world is about to get--" just then he was getting a call from his call spell. Upon answering it was King Sombra!
"Ah Prince Noir. How is taking over Equestria going?" Sombra asked.
"Wonderfully. Those ponies were pushovers. Kinda makes me sad that they'll go extinct serving me..." Prince Noir answered.
"Don't you forget... you free me and you'll gain the full power of Shadow." Sombra snarled.
"Yes... I won't forget."
"Then keep up the good work... son." Sombra ended the call.
"Hmph. FlameStar could be a problem..." Noir thought. With one mane flip. He left to attend to other matters.
Later, FlameStar, Alura and Sunset Shimmer went into the boutique store to try and find Rarity. As they entered, they were taken aback at how fancy and tidy the store was.
"Wow! Everything is so shiny and fancy!" Alura cried.
"Yeah!" Sunset said. "Never seen something like this before!"
"I wonder if..." Flamestar spotted Rarity with a large bag of dresses. "There!"
"Isn't that one of the Elements of Harmony?" asked Alura.
"Yep!" Flamestar said. "Now for the hard bit. We gotta have her be Generous so she can Pony up."
"I think a have an idea." Alura said. "That is... if you're up for it."
"Clue us in." Sunset and Flamestar said in unison. Alura went up to Rarity and made some puppy eyes at her. "Excuse me, young lady... I'm just a feeble girl who has no clue about the store. And I'd really like to know which is the best dress for me..."
"You poor little thing... come, darling. I'll help you find the greatest dress for you."
Sunset nodded. "I think she's pulling it off." FlameStar however shook his head.
"That would be good... if we were dealing with Fluttershy!" FlameStar goaned. "How she phrased it, Kindness would be the solution here." Rarity led Alura to find the best dress for her. "Make that Kindness and Loyalty." FlameStar said.
"Cmon, We need to follow them." Sunset said. She and FlameStar went after Rarity to see what she does next. Rarity found a very nice dress for Alura in her favorite color: sunlight yellow.
"Its so beautiful, Rarity!"
"Try it on, darling." Alura took the dress into the dressing room. When she returned, she looked very, very beautiful! "Oh Rarity. Darling, you've outdone yourself."
"I wonder how much this cost..." Alura pinched the price tag and she. Was. SHOCKED. "5,000 Bits?! I can't afford that!" FlameStar gripped at his chest upon hearing that.
"OH this is a disaster..." FlameStar groaned.
"Hang tight Darling." Rarity dug into her purse and pulled a check for 10,000 Bits! "You seem to need this more than I do."
"10,000 Bits?!" Alura cried. "No... I can't possibly take that from you..."
"Just take it. Besides, I have more bits anyway."
"Why would you do that for me?"
"Because... being generous comes with rewards... no matter who or what it is." Rarity began to glow. In mere moments her hair grew longer and she got pony ears!
"FlameStar, she ponied up! Use the Amulet!!" Sunset cried. FlameStar pressed the button and some of the magic flowed inside the amulet. However, Rarity saw what was going on.
"Not this time!" Rarity fired some diamonds at the Amulet. FlameStar jumped away but Sunset got assaulted with diamonds. Rarity ceased her attack to finally realize she was bombarding Sunset. "Oh my... Sunset?"
"Ohh... hey! How's it going?" Sunset groaned.
"Sunset? Are you ok?" FlameStar asked. If not, can I have your phone?"
"Who is he?" Rarity asked.
"FLAMESTAR! This girl gave me some money for this, can you Believe it?" Alura cried.
"Uhhh..."
"So, your name is FlameStar?" Rarity asked.
"Oh me? Yeah but I'm a nopo--" Sunset elbowed FlameStar."I mean, I'm a nobody..."
"Whatever do you mean by that, darling?" Rarity asked. "No one is a nobody. You just need to get your confidence back."
"I'm listening..." a few minutes later, the crew was at Rarity's mansion and FlameStar wasn't happy. "Do I really have to wear this, Rarity?"
"Of course, Darling. Its just us." Rarity said.
"Oh fine..." FlameStar groaned and walked out with a dress on. Sunset and Alura found it quite funny.
"Oh FlameStar... you look ridiculous!" Alura chortled. Sunset proceeded to take pictures.
"Rarity. This. Is stupid." FlameStar huffed.
"Come in now!" Rarity cried. When she did, a gray girl named Derpy, a drama queen named Sassy, A farm girl and a pink optimistic girl walked in. FlameStar was embarrassed and furious that Rarity lied.
"Rarity! You told me we were alone!"
"But I needed Judges." Rarity pleaded.
"Aren't you, Alura and Sunset enough?" FlameStar asked.
"I needed some background eyes." Rarity said.
"Fine... let's get this over-- APPLEJACK? PINKIE PIE?"
"Hi, mystery red guy!" Pinkie said.
"Wait... were you at my barn earlier?" Applejack asked. "My nephew told me you roughed him up... is that true?" FlameStar's eyes shifted trying to think of something convincing to tell Applejack. Eventually, he faked a sigh.
"Yeah, I was there." FlameStar sighed. "I was only there for a little while, and then I saw you had a pony and at that point, I couldn't stay there no more."
"Did any of y'all know this?" Applejack asked. Pinkie shook her head. So did Rarity. Derpy just blinked. Then Alura rose her hand.
"I was with FlameStar. Some crazy guy with a pitchfork tried to kill us." Alura explained. "So FlameStar went and threw barrels to contain him and beat him black and blue!"
"ALURA!! That's something Applejack didn't need to know!" FlameStar goaned.
"Now why on earth would you lie to me?" Applejack asked, annoyed. FlameStar just sighed heavily and decided to come clean. He then told the others all about his mission to get the statue working again and how Prince Noir was starting a hostile takeover. The girls were amazed.
"...and that's why I needed the Equestrian Magic of the Elements of Harmony." FlameStar explained. "It might be my only hope to get back home and stop the Prince."
"You'll help right?" Alura asked.
"I'm not one to lie so believe me when I say I'm in to help you." Applejack said. She then started to Glow and she Ponied Up!
"Ah!" Said FlameStar. "You can help me right now! Hold still..." FlameStar took some magic from Applejack to where he felt it was enough. "Gracias, Senorita Applejack." FlameStar said. "That makes 2 elements." Before he could ponder about anything else, his stomach started to grumble. FlameStar blushed out of embarrassment... Sunset couldn't help but chuckle a little.
"Sounds like you're hungry." Sunset laughed. FlameStar nodded slightly.
"Can we get something to eat?" FlameStar asked, "and I wanna take this dress off!!"
"Darling, you look nice in that dress." Rarity complimented. "Maybe you should wear it to go out!" The other girls laughed. FlameStar however wanted to burn the dress to ashes, but he remembered he doesn't have a cutie mark as a human. Nor does he have his horn to harness the power. So FlameStar ripped it off and stomped it into the dust. Alura just laughed. So did Sunset. Rarity however. Was Shooketh. "FlameStar, how could you?!"
"Im not myself when I'm hungry." FlameStar explained. He pointed to his stomach. "Sorry." He then pointed to the dress."Not sorry." Everyone just laughed.
Later after Rarity fashion show, or as FlameStar calls it, the fashion disaster, Sunset dropped off FlameStar, Alura and Pinkie at a restaurant named Sweet Snacks Café. Pinkie works there and said she'd be happy to serve FlameStar and Alura. The two of them were hungry after fighting a mad farmer with a pitchfork, performing a fashion show and failing to stop Prince Noir in Equestria.
"Hey FlameStar..?" Alura asked. "Isn't Pinkie the Element of Laughter?"
"Yeah. But how do we get the magic?" FlameStar asked. "We all had a good laugh at Rarity's house, so why didn't she pony up?"
"Can we discuss this with some food?" Alura replied. "I'm starving..." a chuckle escapes FlameStar.
"Alright. Alright. C'mon." The 2 friends got out of Sunset's car and went inside. When they did, everything was bright, flashy and the waitresses uses skates to get around. FlameStar and Alura were surprised. They never saw anything like this but then again, this is Pinkie they were thinking about. She was in her element here. Later, Sunset, FlameStar and Alura sat at a booth where Pinkie awaited to... well wait them.
"Hi again guys! I'll be back soon! Got some more jobs to do." Pinkie skated off. Sunset turned to FlameStar.
"Spill FlameStar. How many elements did you find?"
"We found 2 of them." Answered FlameStar. "Honesty and Generosity."
"Unless you count Pinkie." said Alura. "Then its Honesty, Generosity and Laughter."
Sunset pondered a bit. "Really now." Curious, Alura looked over the booth. She saw a rainbow haired girl with a sports team.
"Hey, Dash? Looks like someone likes your hair." said a teammate. The rainbow haired girl looked up.
"Oh hey there, little girl. Are you a fan?"
"No. I'm a fairy," Alura answered. The team laughed. FlameStar decided to look over and he saw someone who looked just like Rainbow Dash.
"It couldn't be... could it?" FlameStar thought to himself. He brushed it off but Sunset was curious.
"Who'd you see?" She asked.
"Someone who looks an awful lot like Rainbow Dash." FlameStar said. "I'm not sure if it's my fatigue, my deadly hunger or my loss of power but Im too weak to think hard about it." FlameStar then opened up the menu and saw some chicken tenders. "Ooh cool! These look just like the ones from my travels."
"Im intrigued, FlameStar. What are your travels? Where did you go?" asked Sunset.
"Its a long story and not for the faint of heart." FlameStar warned.
"Cmon..." So with that, FlameStar explained his dark past. He told of the creatures and things he has seen on his journey around the world. He even told about his Cutie Mark and how special it is as well as the harrowing and tragic story of it. Sunset was amazed and felt sorry for FlameStar. He lost his parents and his Cutie Mark is all that he remembers them by.
"... and thats when Celestia showed me acceptance and i saved Equestria from eternal ruins!" By the time FlameStar was finished, he had gathered a crowd who listened to his story.
"I guess you're as famous here as you are in Equestria!" Alura laughed.
"Guess so."
"Hey, FlameStar is it? What does this cutie mark of yours do?" A guy asked.
"When i have it, I can make fire from it!" FlameStar explained. "With that mark, I can manipulate heat. Something called--"
"Pyrokenisis?" A girl finished. The crowd stepped back to reveal a purple girl with glasses. She started to slowly retreat to her shell.
"That looks like Princess Twilight. But it couldn't be." FlameStar pondered. "Since when does Twilight need glasses?"
"Thats Sci-Twi. This world's Twilight." Sunset explained. "She's a lot like Princess Twilight but in Equestria, she doesn't have her wings."
FlameStar tuned to the crowd. "Its not that interesting. Go back to what you were doing." He said. The crowd dissolved and went back to their own things. Pinkie was there among the crowd. She was waiting for the crowd to leave.
"What'll it be?" Pinkie asked.
Things aren't going well in Equestria right now. Twilight is still missing. Prince Noir enjoyed his role in Equestria now. Starlight however refused to give up. She went to Siver Shoals to find a pair of certain Alicorns. Sunburst went to the Crystal Empire to ask for help. The Mane 5 still tried what they could to bring FlameStar home.
At Silver Shoals, Starlight wasted no time and went to find Luna and Celestia.
"Celestia! Luna! I need your help!"
"Yes, Starlight?" Celestia asked.
"FlameStar is lost through the Crystal Mirror! The machine keeping it open shattered and Twilight has gone missing!"
"Twilight went missing?" Luna cried.
"Thsts not the worst part. A shadow fairy named Prince Noir took over Canterlot! He's responsible for losing FlameStar."
"Then we must help at once." Celestia said, bravely. "Besides, it could be a new fun adventure! Right, sister?"
"Of course!" Luna said "Lets go." The 3 ponies hurried back to the mirror to try and fix it.
FlameStar enjoyed his tenders and Alura liked her sundae. Sunset liked her Salad but she couldn't help but worry about FlameStar and Alura. She pulled out her magical book and quill to try and contact anyone.

My name is Sunset Shimmer. I have a guy named FlameStar. He's safe and sound with me. The portal to Equestria closed here and FlameStar is stuck. He needs help to get back home. We are trying to get the magic from the Elements of Harmony in my world. All I can ask you all to do is try to get it working on your side. Help to bring FlameStar home.
"All I can do is hope someone gets the message." Sunset thought. FlameStar and Alura burped loudly. They looked content.
"'Scuse me." Alura said. "Now we can relax and digest this right?
"Don't relax yet." FlameStar said. "We still need to get Pinkie's element, Remember?"
"But how do we do it?" asked Sunset. FlameStar spied a rainbow box.
"I think i got an idea." FlameStar went over to the box and saw a list of things. "Are those music notes next to them? Oh these are songs!" FlameStar scrolled through until he found a song called "Coinky Dink World". "Definitely sounds like Pinkie to me."
"INSERT 10 BITS." The box typed.
"10 BITS?!" FlameStar said shook. He growled and inserted 10 bits. The song filled the speakers to life and everyone began to dance! "Woah! Never thought everyone would dance... This place is strange. Too strange." FlameStar eyed Pinkie who started to laugh. Hearing this, FlameStar held up the amulet ready to take some magic. He then saw Alura and Sunset dancing as well! "I shouldn't..." said FlameStar. "But I don't wanna be a party pooper..." Unknowingly, FlameStar was at the dance floor. Pinkie had dragged him there!
"C'mon, Red guy! Let's dance!" Squealed Pinkie. FlameStar however, was as stiff as a board. He tried to awkwardly shuffle. Sunset chuckled a bit. Before FlameStar could do anything else, the doors swung open. 3 seductive looking girls stood at the doorway. The music stopped and everyone stared at them.
"Adagio and the Dazzlings..." growled Sunset Shimmer.
"Adagio? Dazzlings?" FlameStar asked. The girls turned to FlameStar and stared at his amulet.
"Nice Amulet you got there." Said the orange girl. She got closer and closer. FlameStar was worried. Without his Cutie Mark or his magic, all he could do is watch and wait. "T'would be a shame if something happened to it." Alarmed, FlameStar pushed her back.
"Sorry, lady. This is mine and I'm gonna use it to get back home." FlameStar said firmly. "Who are you anyway?"
"Name's Adagio Dazzle. That blue hair girl is Sonata Dusk and she is Aria Blaze."
"So I see..."
"You have something we want. And you're gonna give it to us." Aria snarled. FlameStar was surprised! He looked around to find some help. He looked at Rainbow Dash, then Twilight, then to Pinkie and finally Alura and Sunset.
Thinking on his feet, FlameStar said, "Well, I'm flattered you want that but ya see I'm kinda taken." Adagio put a hand on FlameStar's chest... Then snatched the Amulet! "Hey!" Cried FlameStar. He slid down and swept her legs. "I'll be taking that!" Aria growled at FlameStar.
"Listen Red, that is ours!" Aria snarled. Suddenly, she lunges at FlameStar!
"No! I'm going home!" FlameStar roared. He then heard some laughter from Sonata and Pinkie. Everyone looked.
"That is a funny story!" Pinkie chortled.
"What story?" Asked Alura.
"So its Tuesday right?" Sonata began. "I go to buy some tacos. Then Aria tries to toss them on the ground and instead of them going on the ground, they land on her!" She laughed. Everyone laughed out loud. Even Adagio. Aria was scowling.
"I said to NEVER tell that story!" Yelled Aria. While they were laughing, FlameStar quietly grabbed the amulet and saw Pinkie pie glow. She then ponied up and... well the rest is easy.
"Got'em." said FlameStar. The laughter started to die down as Sunset, Alura and FlameStar all quietly left the cafe.
"Nice work FlameStar!" Alura praised. "That makes 3. Whats the next Element?" FlameStar looked at the sky.
"Actually. We'll have to call it a night. The sun is pretty low." FlameStar said. Sunset looked troubled.
"Ooh... we might have a problem with that..." Sunset said, dejected. "I don't have much space where I live."
"I don't know if we can get a hotel for the night either..." FlameStar said. Sunset pondered as the wheels turned in her head as she had an idea.
"I know!" Sunset texted Fluttershy about a place to stay. She responded with I have plenty of space. Drop them at my house. "FlameStar, I found you a place!"
How Kind Your Life Can Be
As night fell upon Canterlot city, FlameStar and Alura arrived at Fluttershy's cottage. It was similar to the one in Equestria. FlameStar couldn't help but think of his friends back home. He started to worry and feel sad.
"FlameStar?" asked Alura. "Are you alright?" FlameStar snapped out of it.
"Huh?! Oh... yeah Alura. I'm fine." FlameStar went up to the door, leaving Alura to think.
"I hope FlameStar is alright..." she thought to herself. Just then, the door opened to show a bunny on the doorway.
"Oh. Hi Angel." Angel was confused. He never saw FlameStar before and yet he guessed his name. Fluttershy walked in and immediately ducked her head back in again.
"Oy vey..." FlameStar groaned. Alura walked to the door and Fluttershy relaxed some more after seeing her.
"Um. Hi Alura." she said softly. The sparks burned in FlameStar's head as he remembered Alura talking to her when they arrived here. "Who is... your friend?"
"I'm FlameStar, Fluttershy." Fluttershy gave a suprised look. "Alura told me about you?" Fluttershy nodded.
"It's pretty cold out. Come in." said Fluttershy.
Starlight finally arrived back at the mirror with Celestia and Luna.
"Hmm. Seems tricky but we can open it temporarily." Celestia responded.
"Starlight Glimmer, it will have to be you to go inside the mirror when we do open it." Luna explained. "We can forcefully open it, but it will close immediately again." Starlight pondered.
"Hmm... I know there's a set of Twilight's friends there..." Starlight thought back to her first visit and made a choice. "Sunburst. I know there isn't another one of you and you should stay here, but you and anypony else are welcome to join me."
Sunburst fixed his glasses. "It's a kind gesture but you're right. I'd be more help here." Just then, a book started to shimmer. Celestia spies the book and pulls it over.
"It's Sunset Shimmer! My old pupil." Celestia remarked. The alicorn opened the book and read the message.

To you, Sunset Shimmer,
Thank you for informing us of FlameStar's safety and proof of life. Things aren't good here in Equestria. Twilight is missing and the guards and Wonderbolts can't handle this on their own. Keep FlameStar safe and keep up your work.
"FlameStar is safe in the alternate world." Celestia responded. "Sunset Shimmer is looking after him."
"Then i best go in and find him." Starlight remarked bravely.
"Very well." Said Celestia. "Ready Sister?" Luna nodded. Together the two Alicorns forced the portal to open up for Starlight.
"Hurry, Starlight Glimmer!" Luna strained. Starlight jumped into the portal without any hesitation. The Alicorns stopped and the portal shut.
"Be careful, Starlight." Celestia said under her breath.
Back at Canterlot City, Sunset was getting ready to sleep when she saw her book shimmer.
"*yawn* What?" Sunset groaned. She grabbed her book and read what was going on. "Celestia?!" Sunset skimmed over the message many times. She couldn't believe it: Equestria is in trouble and Twilight has gone missing! "NO! Alura wasn't kidding. She is a fairy... and her cousin is causing terror in Equestria!" Sunset looked at her clock. "Ok. It's not too late. We'll get the rest of the Elements all at once!" Sunset pulled out her phone and texted her friends.
SOS!! WE NEED TO SLEEPOVER AT PINKIE'S!!!!!!!
FlameStar was with Alura thinking about Equestria.
"FlameStar?" Asked Alura. "Are you thinking about Equestria?"
"Sure am. I don't know if I'll ever get back home." He sighed. "There was something I was hoping to do..."
"What is it?"
"Face my past." FlameStar said.
"Your past?"
"Yes. I want to go back to my old village and come to terms with the townsfolk." FlameStar explained. "I also want to go and see my old friends..."
"But aren't your friends the Elements of Harmony?" Asked Alura.
"Yes but my old friends. My friends when I was a colt. Midnight Animes, Jayhawk Windrise and Lumber Earth."
"Would you like to talk about it?" asked Fluttershy from a distance. FlameStar looked up. " You'll feel a lot better if you do."
"Yeah. Alright. So my friends were--" FlameStar was cut off when Fluttershy's phone rang.
"Oh my." said Fluttershy. "It says we need to go to Pinkie's house."
"Yippee!! More gingerbread!" Alura cheered. FlameStar was rather puzzled
"You were trapped in crates underneath the Castle of Friendship." FlameStar reminded. "How do you know Pinkie lives in a gingerbread house?"
"I had my freedom, FlameStar. I did a bit of exploring but then my cousin took me away to the castle and left me there."
"That's rough, buddy." FlameStar said. Then, Fluttershy walked up.
"FlameStar, we got to go to Pinkie's house." She said.
"Pinkie's? How come?"
"Its urgent said Sunset Shimmer."
"No time to waste!" FlameStar leaped up and dragged Alura with him.
"FlameStar! I can walk by myself!" Alura laughed.
Later the trio arrived at Pinkie Pie's house. The rest of the girls were waiting and then they saw him.
"Thats FlameStar, y'all." said Applejack.
"So he's the one you stuffed in a dress Rarity?" asked the rainbow haired girl.
"Maybe..." Rarity said innocently. FlameStar walked up to them.
"Hi there. I'm FlameStar. And this is Alura."
"Hello!" They all said in unison.
"Im sure Sunset told you of my... current predicament."
"You're stuck here in our world and your world is under attack by an evil fairy prince who wanted to destroy what's left in your wold and make you suffer?" asked Pinkie. The others turned to stare at her.
"Sunset isn't here yet and she didn't explain in the text..." Applejack answered. "How would you know?"
"We didn't say anything either." Alura said.
"But she's pretty much spot on." FlameStar replied.
"It's a hunch. Come in!"
Later the girls were all having fun while brainstorming ideas to bring back FlameStar. FlameStar however started to get a little shy. He was the only boy among the group. He decided to look out the window and she saw a girl running down the block. Using his impeccable sight he learned from the Changelings and Griffins, he noticed the girl's hair looked an awful lot like Starlight's hair.
"Wait... Starlight?" FlameStar thought. Focusing his gaze, he saw it really was Starlight! FlameStar quickly opened the window to get her attention. "STARLIGHT!! UP HERE!!" FlameStar yelled. Starlight looked up.
"FlameStar!" She cried. "Hang on! I'll come to you!" She knocked on Pinkie's door and waited. Then Maud answered the door. "Wait... Maud?" Starlight asked?
"have we met before?" Maud asked in a very monotone manner.
"Um... its complicated..." Starlight explained. "May i come in?" Maud said nothing but then offered a slight nod. Starlight kicked off her heels and went up to where FlameStar was.
"Starlight Glimmer!" The girls all said.
"Hi again." She said sheepishly.
"Glad you could join the par-" FlameStar was cut off by a sudden realization. "Wait! How'd you get here? The portal is down! I'm stuck here!
"I went through the portal. So?"
"You shouldn't have come to try find me." FlameStar said. "However you got in through the portal, It's a one way trip." FlameStar pondered still.
"What about that journal Sunset has?" Starlight asked. "Thats how the portal was powered up before so it can stay open."
"Journal? What journal?" FlameStar asked. Sunset pulled out her journal and showed it to FlameStar. "May i?" He took it and looked inside. She saw a message from Celestia. "Wait... I can tell them I'm ok. I got an idea! I need a quill!" Sunset handed him one. "Ok... To my inspiration, Celestia...
The rest of the ponies in Equestria, who took shelter from Prince Noir, were losing morality but also hope that FlameStar will come back. Rainbow Dash decided to speak up.
"We've been hoping for something to happen or a clue or a sign of FlameStar." Rainbow Dash said. "I think we need to come to terms that FlameStar isn't coming back."
Luna spoke up, "Rainbow is correct. We cannot continue to wait for something to happen. We need to make something happen."
"Lets hit him hard and fast!" Rainbow said. Everyone agreed. Just then, the journal began to shimmer. Celestia picked it up and went to read it.
"Its from FlameStar!" She cried. She skimmed through the message. "Starlight was able to find him but they're still stuck." She goes on. "He says if the portal can be active from our side, FlameStar can use friendship magic to open the other and get everyone back!"
"Then i might have an idea!" Rainbow said. "Twilight hooked up the book onto the device to keep the portal open. So we just have to fix the device and hook the book back up."
"Worth a try!" Sunburst replied. He then got to work on the mechanism.
3 hours later...
"Done! Try it now!" Sunburst asked as he pushed the device to its proper position. Celestia placed the book onto the device and the portal flickered on and off.
"Its working, but FlameStar now has to do his part to fully link up!"
Back in the other world, FlameStar was able to get Loyalty and Kindness. Rainbow went back for FlameStar in a video game they were playing and Fluttershy reassured FlameStar when he was feeling down and troubled.
"Well now that we got most of the elements now, think we can get back?" Asked Alura.
"We still don't have the Element of Magic." FlameStar answered. He turned to Twilight. "I may not be too friendship heavy or anything but I think Magic combines all the elements?" Sunset saw her book shimmer again.
"I think I have the solution." Sunset explained. "When they say magic, they mean the Magic of Friendship." FlameStar paused for a bit then he made a choice.
"Im sure we can make the portal work again now! Let's go!" FlameStar, Alura and the others went out to the school again. When they arrived, they were ready to unleash the magic. FlameStar took a deep breath and raised the amulet up. Suddenly, a shadow figure flew out the portal! "What?!"
"Greetings, FlameStar."
"Prince Noir!!" FlameStar growled.
"Thats the Prince?" Twilight asked.
"You remind me of a cockroach. You're so annoyingly hard to get rid of!" He turned to Alura. "Fancy seeing you try to help out FireFace over here."
"Shut it!" Alura yelled. "No amount of threats will distract us!"
Noir began to charge a beam. "I hope you enjoy this school, cause you're gonna be stuck here FOREVER!!"
"Nooooo!!" Twilight jumped in the way of the beam and she Ponied Up. "FlameStar. We got him, take my pony magic. Get to Equestria."
"Twilight..." FlameStar raised the amulet and took some magic. "Ok. I'm going home!" FlameStar opened the amulet and saw the portal working again! "Starlight! Alura! We are leaving!"
"FlameStar! Wait." Cried Sunset. "Im coming with you!"
"Ok. Let's go!" FlameStar and the others leaped through the portal, leaving the human world.
Back in Equestria, the ponies saw the portal glow. Starlight hopped out.
"Starlight! Did you find FlameStar?" Rainbow asked.
"Sure did" Starlight answered. Sunset and Alura walked out of the portal next.
"Sunset Shimmer! What a pleasant surprise. " Celestia said.
"Im here to help Equestria get back on its feet-- um hooves." Sunset explained. The portal glowed one last time and finally, FlameStar hopped out!
"Oh yes! It feels good to be back on my hooves." He turned to look at his butt and he saw his cutie mark. "Yeah! I've missed you, cutie mark!" FlameStar began to kiss his own flank. The others exchanged blank stares. The red unicorn looked up. "Oh right. Save Equestria first, kiss flank later."
"Um but Twilight is still missing." Starlight remarked. "And the castle is Canterlot. How are we gonna move it back to its correct spot? It'll take every unicorn all over to move it!"
"First, let's stop Prince Noir!" FlameStar said. "Equestria needs its princess with or without a castle." Celestia nodded in agreement. FlameStar paused for a bit. "Oh... but how are we going to get to Canterlot safely? No doubt the prince had defenses everywhere." Sunset spoke up.
"Twilight and the others are holding him off in Canterlot High. We should use this chance to charge and take the castle back!"
"Right! Ok. Brace yourselves, everyone!" FlameStar's horn glowed brightly and everyone disappeared. They all came back at the entrance arc to Canterlot. FlameStar saw his horn overheat and he blew it out. "Alright. Now we need to get to the castle and find Twilight. Discord, I need you to--" Discord wasn't around. FlameStar face-hoofed. "Alright fine. Starlight, Sunset i need you to see if anyone is still here. Rainbow Dash, get the Wonderbolts to survey Canterlot. Sunburst, Luna and Celestia. You're with me. Let's go!"
The ponies trotted through Canterlot. Ruins were scattered everywhere. "Sheesh. this place is always getting destroyed..." FlameStar groaned. He looked up to see a purple light from the Castle of Friendship. "Prince Noir... I will restore harmony." A bit shaky but sure, FlameStar led the charge into the castle. Prince Noir was their waiting for them.
"Hmph. So you met me halfway i see..." Prince Noir sneered. "Well its too late for you."
"Cousin! Are you still planning more terrible things?!" Alura asked out.
"Maybe I am... is this considered... terrible? " Princess Twilight was chained up and saddled on. The ponies were horrified!
Luna spoke up. "Your misdeeds here today shant go unpunished."
"Oh but im not done..." Prince Noir replied. He held up a staff with a crystal ball. He began chanting and in mere moments, King Sombra rose from the Darkness!"
"Sombra..." Celestia growled.
"So thats King Sombra." FlameStar pondered. Sombra gazed at FlameStar.
"A pitiful unicorn with the Flames of Light... pathetic." FlameStar was surprised. He knew his flames were something special but no one had ever told him about the Flames of Light. The red unicorn was perplexed. Sombra chuckled. "Its remarkable really... The perfect build of a unicorn manifesting power that came from the Tree of Harmony..." he paused maliciously "and yet.... he doesn't even know his own power enough to defeat me..." Now, FlameStar was angry.
"How would you know? I didn't try yet!" FlameStar fired a fire blast at Sombra. Sombra just slipped into the darkess and away from the fire. FlameStar paused and sat down to think. "If Sombra relies on the darkness and I try to light up the area... hmm..." from one side Sombra charged at FlameStar! Sunburst jumped in and put up a shield.
Sunburst struggled and strained. "FlameStar, do something!!" FlameStar finally had the answer.
"Sunburst I know what to do. Just sit down and try to focus on him."
"Well thats just pathetic." Said Prince Noir. "My king! Accept my power!" Prince Noir deteriorated and fused with Sombra. Alura was shocked. Her own cousin was gone now...
FlameStar took deep breaths trying to sense Sombra. He waited... and waited... until...
"NOW!!! TOGETHER! " FlameStar and the others rallied their magic and in a spirit bomb like fashion, Sombra imploded with light. The king was finished. When the lighting returns to normal, FlameStar could see Alura was sad.
"FlameStar... you saw what my cousin did... How could you?!" FlameStar's ears flopped down. He started to feel guilty. He had killed his friend's cousin. He didn't know how to respond or how to explain himself so Alura would forgive him. So, he said nothing. All was silent. All was still. FlameStar finally spoke up.
"Alura... I'm so sorry I had to do that." FlameStar said. "I know what its like to lose someone close to you. I don't know how to explain. We still need to put the castle back to its proper place. And free Twilight." Sunset and Starlight busted in.
"Is everyone ok?" Sunset asked. She surveyed what had happened. She shrank down.
"I'll be fine but we need to go and put this castle back." While the ponies were reconvening, Sunburst had freed Twilight from her shackles. She flew down to them.
"FlameStar. I don't know what to say. Except... thank you." Twilight said. Celestia chimed in
"I know it wasn't easy and you may have hurt a heart but you triumphed." FlameStar smiled bashfully.
"Thanks, Celestia." FlameStar said. "Now let's put this castle where it belongs. On 3."
"3... 2... 1..." The castle poofed out of Canterlot. It reappeared in Ponyville and hit the ground with a thud! The ponies trotted out of the castle and saw everypony here to welcome them.
FlameStar nodded but then saw Alurw still crying. Starlight gave an encouraging nudge and FlameStar went to comfort her.
"Alura... I'm still very sorry for what I had to do." Alura sniffled.
"Its ok FlameStar. I forgive you. Its just... I'm sad that my own cousin would do such a thing... He was bitter until the very end." Alura stood up and spoke to FlameStar directly. "FlameStar. I want you to have this... its the crown my cousin made for me when he thought I'd join him. This holds too many memories." FlameStar could see Alura was still upset. He took the crown and placed it on her head.
"If your cousin still cares, he'd want you to fix his wrongdoings as a princess." FlameStar said. Alura smiled.
"Thank you, FlameStar. I will. I need to to head home now." Alura said. She was happy to have FlameStar as a friend.
"Goodbye!!" The townsfolk cried as Alura flew up into the sky and vanished into the light. FlameStar sighed.
"I guess I'm not the only one who learned something." FlameStar pondered about what he should do now.
As FlameStar wandered around the streets of Ponyville he saw that the streets were rather empty.
"Oh not again..." he growled. FlameStar rushed over to the townsfolk and he couldn't believe what he saw. His house got a new upgrade by the townsfolk himself! "What's all this?" FlameStar asked. Pinkie hopped over to him.
"We made you some upgrades to you house since the Prince damaged some stuff." Applejack walked up.
"Y'all helped all of us out..." Rarity walked up.
"So we wanted to give back to you." She finished.
"'This is amazing, everypony!" FlameStar hopped up to the doorstep and rose his voice. "HOUSEWARMING PARTY!!" Everypony rushed inside and had a fun time with FlameStar and his housewarming.

Hey guys this is the end of the High school Tail story. This was a very difficult story to complete because of real life problems and lack of motivation but I've finished! I have some stories in the making. I have 2 of them. You choose which comes first.
