Autumn Joy is the daughter of Queen Twilight. Like her mother, she was born and raised in Canterlot most of her life. Unlike her mother, though, she's very rebellious, adventurous, and quite the troublemaker. What her mother doesn't understand is that she just wants to get out of the castle and see the world!

But then, one fateful night, such an opportunity presents itself. Finally past the point of "just being fed up" with the way things are around the castle, she ultimately takes that opportunity, and sneaks out...

Jack is a fun-loving, handy, and very social American with a passion for engineering and creating new things. After moving to Canterlot a few months back, he made a living by doing odd jobs here and there, and fixing things for the ponies and creatures that needed it.

He made quite a few friends while living in the Canterlot Slums. They all agree that it's time for him to start looking for a girl to woo! What better place to start, than the local tavern? And who better to try and impress, than the newcomer mare with a serious "fish-out-of-water" look?
