"Doctor Mikel," The pony raised his hand form his notes as he turned to a beast-man bloodhound wearing an officers uniform as they walked up alongside three other people all of them caused the doctor to spit out his coffee.

"Comrade Ivan! Why didn't you tell me you going to bring them here!" Mikel said as he got up straightening his lab coat and walking over to the other three.

"I would tell you beforehand but they wanted to see the machine right away," Ivan the bloodhound said as the doctor walked over to the pony who was wearing a generals uniform, another pony who was wearing a three-piece suit, and finally a beast-woman who was wearing a trench coat over her dress.

Brushing his hair back Mikel smiled as he spoke.

"General Moff, Minister Goldberg, Lady angel what do I owe the pleasure," Mikel said holding out his hand to them.

The General Moff took and spoke.

"Doctor we have come to see the machine and if it was ready," The general said.

Mikel laughed as he looked at them and spoke. "Well, I don't know about ready..." This only got him stared at before gulping.

"But she is ready for her first test though," Mikel said as the three looked at him.

"Really after nearly a year this thing is having its first test," Lady angel asked to which the doctor held out his hands.

"No, I meant its first REAL test see we test every part by itself first before we put them into the machine so we don't have a mess up and have to take the entire machine apart to find that one not working piece," Mikel said as the group looked around at the machine.

"Must have taken you some time then," Goldberg said as they all looked at the machine.

"You have no idea, sir,"

"So doctor do you mind telling us what your machine does, after all, I want to know what our taxpayers bits are going to," Asked lady angel as the doctor smiled.

"Well if you must ask my lady you know our world is full of magic right? *She nods* Well this machine pulls the magic from around the machine around us and sucks into its main core where that untapped magic becomes a power that is clean and about ten times more effective than burning coal or magic crystals," Mikel said as they looked at him.

"Quite the theory you have doctor but will the machine work?" Mikel laughed at the general's question as he looked at him.

"I built for the motherland of course she will work!" He said but in a whisper, he spoke: "I hope,"

"Than do you mind turning on the machine for that test you said you need to do?" Goldberg asked to which the doctor nodded.

"Of course but first here," Reaching into lab coat he pulled out some goggles for them. "You might want to protect those eyes of yours,"

Taking the safety goggles the group watched as the doctor turns to the control panel as the scientists and engineers around him ran to there stations upon hearing this. The Rushian pony flipped some switches to the machine's control panel as it began to hum to life as he pushed a button the machine's humming became louder and louder till the core began to glow blue-white from the energy being pulled around it into the machine.

"Core is at 100% doctor," A scientist said as an engineer looked at his computer.

"All things look good doc she is holding strong," The engineer Abyssinian said as he turned to the doctor who smiled before turning to the four behind him.

"Amazing isn't it?" he asked to which they looked at him with amused looks on there faces.

"But doctor will it be enough to replace our depleting coal reserves?" Goldberg asked to which the doctor smiled and nodded.

"Yes of course this thing will even replace our draining magic crystal reserves as well! After all the 'Core' is made to last after all," The machine now known as the Core gave a steady hum as the light coming from its own core flashed brightly. "Now after running a few more tests we should-"

Before he could finish the machine roared causing all of them to turn to the core as it flashed from white-blue to orange-red. Turning to the guys bellow him they looked up at the doctor.

"Sir there something happening," One of the scientists said as Mikel looked at them.

"What! What's happening!" He asked to which an engineer turned to his screen.

"Boss I think the machine is-" The screen exploded as the cat had to cover his face. "Doing its job too well,"

"Mikel shut it down!" Ivan said as he nodded going over to the machine controls and starting to shut it down but the lady angel saw something in the Core's core.

"Wait! There someone in there!" The beast-woman said pointing to the heart of the machine

"What! That's impossible no one should be in there," Mikel said looking up to the core but was surprised to see the shadow of a being in the machine. "But how!"

"Don't know! Don't care shut off the machine doctor!" Moff said as the doctor nodded getting to work on the machine as it began to power down slowly as the figure in the machine began to grow bigger and bigger before stopping at a size but the machine was slowly powering down till it darken enough to mask the presence of the figure within.

All took off their goggles as they looked to the door covering the core.

"Some get open that door there is someone inside," Lady angel said as two of the engineer ran up the catwalk to the machine door and they began to twist open the door to the machine.

The machine hissed as the main door opened to the machine along with black smoke coming from it causing those to breathe it to cough. As the two engineers back away a glow came from the smoke as small armor hand came from the machine and grabbed the side of the door. Surprised the group watched as a large more claw-like hand grabbed other side of the door frame.

"By the gods what is that?" Goldberg asked as a being came from the smoke onto the catwalk...

All were at a loss for words as the thing that came from the door was donned in head to tone with heavy-looking armor of some kind. The being before them stood at least eight foot tall almost nine-foot but besides that, the being before them looked demonic in a way as the armor seemed to be made from dragon scales along with the helmet that held two black horns pointing up that's helmet had a T like a knight of old but two fiery eyes came from the slot as he stepped down looking around.

Resting his eyes on the Group of five he looked at them as they did him before he spoke.

"I assume I have to thank one of you for pulling me back together?"
