Chapter 1: Back to Lumiose Town
The siblings arrived at Lumiose city, exhausted, after 2 days of travel.
“Now, if you excuse me, said Sunset, i have some shopping to do!! I will see you later!!”
She walked away. Sunlight looked at his team for the Gym Battle.
“Hum, Cinder 2.0, asked Sunlight to his Motisma-Dex. Show me what information you have on the Lumiose city’s Gym Leader.”
“Beep, let me a second, said the Dex. The Gym Leader of this town is a specialist of Electrik type Pokemons. His name is Clemont.”
Sunlight looked at his team to decide which of them will battle. He decided to give Incineroar and Delphox a break.
“My team for this Gym Battle, he said, will be composed of Ninetails, Houndoom and Charmeleon” (Charminder evolved into a Charmeleon a few hours before arriving to town)
Sunlight got up and walked in direction of the arena where he would challenge Clemont for the Fifth badge. But he was distracted by a suspicious activity in a dark alley. He walked in the direction of the alley to see if he could learn more. He saw a man looking around him nervously, which then disappeared in a secret passage. Sunlight arrived in the spot the man disappeared in and found the secret passage he used. He entered in it and saw stairs. He casted a spell on himself to become invisible, then slowly walked down them. After 2 minutes, he arrived in a room where he saw many Pokemons trapped inside cages and cells.
”Hum, these cages must be protected with an alarm or something, he thought. I can’t take the risk to be spotted.”
He saw another sets of stairs leading deeper in the lair. He walked down them and arrived 1 minute later in a room where many men were sat around a table.
“Nobody have been suspecting our activities” said the man Sunlight saw entering the lair.
“Are you sure?” asked a man, wearing a mask and to hide is identity
“Yes” he answered.
“Good, because i won’t do twice the same mistake” said the man with the metal mask.
“I have good news, said another man in the room. Our secret project is almost 70% completed.”
Sunlight was listening to their discussion when suddenly, The boss stopped the discussion.
“Is there a problem, Boss?” asked one of the men.
“Hum...I have the feeling that someone spy on us, he answered, Are you sure that no one else get in the lair after you?”
“Uh...No, he answered. Sorry Boss.”
Sunlight was about to leave when suddenly, he received a phone call.
“Damn it!” he thought, starting to run toward the exit.
“What is that noise?!” asked a man
“This is a phone noise, said another man. Uh, do any of us have a phone?”
“No!! Said the Boss. There is an intruder in the lair!! Block all the issues!!”
Sunlight was about to teleport outside the lair, but strangely failed to do so.
”Shit, he said, Why can’t i teleport out here?”
Sunlight found himself trapped in the first room of the lair, with the other pokemons. He was still invisible, but the spell was only temporary and would fade soon.
”And crap, he said. I will have to get out of here by force!”
Sunlight removed his invisibility and punched one of the men blocking the way out.
“What, where does he came from?! Said a man. Whatever, let’s get him, boys!!”
Sunlight blasted all the men in the room away with a powerful flame burst. But before he could leave the room, the door leading to the lair exit shutted down.
“This door is fireproof, said the man with the mask. You won’t be able to leave this room, not before you answer to some questions.”
For answer, Sunlight shot a fireball at the man. But the fireball is blocked by a forcefield.
“Where does your magic came from?” he asked.
“I was simply born with the ability to use magic” answered Sunlight.
“Interresting, said the man. Let’s make a deal, i will let you go if you can beat me in a pokemon battle, 1 vs 1.”
“Seems fair to me” said Sunlight.
The man led Sunlight to a little pokemon arena.
“The rules are simple, said the man. The fight is over when one of our pokemons will be K.O. Now, choose your pokemon.”
”Hum, Which one will i use, he thought. Incineroar is the best choice, But Houndoom or Ninetails will be good too. Hum, i can use Delphox...Or...Charmeleon...Nah, i think i will go with Houndoom.”
Sunlight sent Houndoom on the field.
“My turn, now, i choose you Gyarados!!” said the man.
The pokemon appeared, and a few moments later, summoned rain clouds.
”Nice, said Sunlight. A water type pokemon...That promise to be challenging. But he will be no match for Mega Houndoom...”
The man removed his mask and disguise, revealing a cybernetized body. Almost half of his face, his two arms, half of his body, his two legs and his hands were those of a robot.
“You seem surprised, said the man. You see, a few years ago, i tried to save Kalos from destruction, bringing balance, by exterminating the humanity and build my ideal world. I was about to succeed, then suddenly, a Perfect Zygarde appear and destroy my Proto Zygarde and nearly kill me. I survived despite all odds but i was critically injured, Then, someone saved me, heal my wounds and cybernetized the parts of my body that were too badly damaged. A few months later, i had recovered and i decided to choose a new path.”
“Oh, You are that guy, Lysandre, right? Asked Sunlight. The leader of the Team Flare?”
“Yes, but i am not Lysandre anymore, no, i am Neo-Lysandre!!!” he said.
“Alright, let’s finish this battle, i am kinda in a hurry...Said Sunlight. Houndoom, Mega-Evolve!!!”
Sunlight’s Houndoom started to Mega-Evolve. Neo Lysandre was smiling
“Oh, A Mega-Houndoom? He thought. He would make a good recruit for the team...But i know he won’t accept. He is a hero after all. Oh fine, i’ll just beat him and recruit him by force. And even if he win, he will never leave that place until he join us”
Lysandre showed to him his Keystone.
“Gyarados, Mega-Evolve!!” he said.
Gyarados started to transform too. Sunlight grinded his teeth of rage.
”That will be harder than i planned” he thought.
Gyarados stopped to transform and roared at Houndoom. Suddenly, rain started to fall in the arena.
“Houdoom, said Sunlight, Use Hone Claws!!”
Houndoom started to boost his attack and accuracy.
“Gyarados, don’t let Houndoom buff himself, said the man. Use Hurricane!!!”
A very strong and powerful wind striked Houndoom and knocked him back of a few meters.
“Cinder 2.0. Can you tell me what you know about Lysandre’s pokemon?” asked Sunlight.
“Let me a few seconds, answered the machine. Hum, Gyarados is a Water/Flying type pokemon with a high attack and a high special defense. But in his Mega form, he have the Dark type instea of Flying Type. His Attack and Special Defense are almost the double of what they are in his normal form. The best strategy against him is to use powerful direct attack and be fast. Luckily for you, Mega Houndoom surpasses almost every other pokemon in speed and power, even Gyarados. You should be able to one shot him if you can hit him with a powerful Electrick type attack. Good luck, hope it helped!!”
“It did, thank you, said Sunlight. Now, i know the Pokemon i have to beat and how to beat him! Houndoom, use Hone Claws again!!”
“Gyarados, stop him!! Use Thunder!!!”
A powerful Lightning bolt stroke Houndoom and caused an explosion. Sunlight knew that this attack certainly caused tons of damage to Houndoom.
“I have no choice, said Sunlight. If i use Hone Claws again, Gyarados will certainly finish Houndoom. I have to attack, But Crunch is not going to have effect against Mega-Gyarados Dark type, neither Inferno will...If only i could get rid of this rain or having Houndoom to learn an Electrick type move.”
“Gyarados, finish him with Ultralaser!!!” said Neo-Lysandre
Gyarados shot a huge beam of energy at Houndoom.
“Dodge!!” said Sunlight
The pokemon dodged the attack with ease.
“Nice!!” said Sunlight.
“In that case, Use Thunder again, Gyarados!!” said Lysandre.
Sunlight instinctively protected Houndoom and get hit by the lightning bolt. That surprised the pokemon, who got mad at Gyarados.
“I am okay, said Sunlight. I won’t let that evil man win.”
“Pfft, said Lysandre. Gyarados, use Thunder again...Let’s see how much electricity he can take...”
Gyarados summoned a lightning bolt that again, touched Sunlight.
“It just tickled me, said Sunlight. I am sure you can do better!”
Lysandre ordered Gyarados to use Thunder over and over again, But each time, Sunlight took it like nothing.
“Impossible! Said Lysandre. How?!”
“Because i am just acting like a Lightning Rod, said Sunlight. My armor or even myself can’t take such amount of electricity.”
“In that case, let’s see how you deal with a Hurricane!!!” said Lysandre.
Gyarados summoned a violent storm that hit him and Houndoom. Sunlight took most of the damages, allowing Houndoom to avoid being K.O’d. Lysandre started to loose his temper.
“I have enough of this!! He said. Gyarados, use Earthquake!!! Let’s see how you avoid this!!!”
Sunlight grabbed Houndoom and activated his rocket boots. He and the pokemon avoided the attack. Sunlight then landed on the ground. The rain finally stopped at the joy of Sunlight. He then returned Houndoom in his Pokeball.
“Are you giving up? Asked Lysandre. In that case, you made the good choice...”
Lysandre returned Gyarados in his Pokeball.
“No, answered Sunlight. My goal was not to win...I know that lost of victory, you wouldn’t let me go. However, this battle was perfect to gain me some time.”
“Some time for what?” asked Lysandre, surprised.
“For letting me get enough time to charge my power!! Answered Sunlight. All the electricity i blocked was converted into heat by my armor. Now, i have enought power to get out of here!!”
He released a powerful beam of magic that stroke Lysandre, and knocked him into the wall of the room. He then made a run to the exit by destroying and putting fire to everything in his way, except the room that the pokemons in cage were. He finally arrived to the lair entrance and used the last bit of extra power he had to blast the door to pieces. He then called the police agents so they could arrest the criminals he had knocked out. Meanwhile, In the lair, Lysandre got up and ordered to his men to leave the Lair immediately, using a secret exit leading outside the city. A few minutes later. The police arrived and Sunlight showed them the lair entrance.
“Their leader, their admin and a couple of grunts escaped. Explained Sunlight to the Officer Jenny. The rest have been either burned severely, Knocked out or neutralized.”
“You did this by yourself? Asked Jenny. How?”
“Oh, i was not alone, he answered. I had my loyal Houndoom by my sides.”
Sunlight show is Houndoom to Jenny.
“Hum...Are you interested to work for the police?” she asked.
“Hum...Only if you let me arrest Lysandre and take down his team?” he answered.
“Are you sure you can do this alone? She said. The last time, it took all the Gym Leaders of Kalos, Two League Champion, a member of the Elite Four of the Kalos region, the Professor Sycamore and Zygarde at his full power to stop that madman.”
“Only time will tell” said Sunlight.
“In that case, follow me to the office, she said. I will give you your investigator badge. With it, you will be able to investigate and track down the Lysandre and his organisation. You will also have access to our services if you need reinforcement. This is a huge challenge you have in front of you. Taking him down will be hard. Well, what are you waiting for?”
Sunlight sat on the seat behind Jenny’s motorcycle.

Chapter 2: Fire and Lightning
Sunlight had left the police office and was going to challenge Lumiose’s Gym Leader. On the way, he saw Sunset leaving a shop carrying tons of bags.
“Hey, Sunlight!! There you are!! She said. Where were you? I tried to join you 2 hours ago, but you were not responding!!”
“Relax, i was just in a place where i couldn’t answer to your calls, answered her brother. Now, i am about to challenge Clemont.”
“Can i come with you to support you? She asked. I should have told you that after i finished my shopping, i decided to challenge Clemont...Well, his robot, to be exact...and i won!!”
She showed him her fifth badge.
“Well, in that case, you can come with me” said Sunlight.
He walked in direction of the Prismatic Tower and enter. He took an elevator and after 3 minutes, arrived in the arena.
“Welcome, Challenger!! Said a robot. And welcome back, Miss Shimmer!”
“Hum, i thought Clemont was the Gym Leader” said Sunlight.
“Yes, he is, said the robot. But he is not present today, so i replace him. Now, Follow me!”
The robot led Sunlight in the middle of the arena.
“The rules are simple, said the A.I. Each trainer can use 3 pokemons, Only the challenger is allowed to change his pokemons during the battle. The battle end if the 3 pokemons of the Challenger or of the Gym Leader fainted.”
Sunlight sent his first Pokemon.
“I count on you, Ninetails!!” said Sunlight.
“Hum, a Fire type pokemon? Said Robot Clemont. In that case, i choose you, Heliolisk!!”
“Ninetails, use Sunny Day!!” said Sunlight.
The arena became suddenly hotter and brighter. An intense sunlight appeared on the battlefield followed by an intense heat.
“You used Sunny Day to increase the power of your Fire type moves, said Robot Clemont. But you made a mistake by using this move.”
“And why? Asked Sunlight. If your pokemon was a Grass Type, i would understand. I don’t see how an Electrick type pokemon would take advantage of Sunny Day”
“Heliolisk can learn an ability named Solar Power, You probably know that ability...” Said the Gym Leader’s robot
“Yes, Solar Power boost considerably the special attack under a intense sunlight. He answered. But this ability also gradually hurt the user as the time passes. Hum, so i imagine Heliolisk have Solar Power...”
“Exact, said the robot. Heliolisk, use Parabolic Charge!!!”
The attack electrocuted Ninetails, who screamed of pain.
“Time for a payback!! Ninetails, use Flamethrower!!!” said Sunlight.
“Avoid it, Heliolisk, said the robot. And counter with dragon tail!!”
Heliolisk avoided the fire attack. His tail glowed in green and hit Ninetails on the head.
“Use Will-O-Whisp!!” said the hero.
Heliolisk couldn't avoid the attack and got hit.
“Use Flamethrower!!” said Sunlight.
“Dodge and use Bulldoze!!” said the robot.
The pokemon dodged the flame blast and made the ground shook under Ninetails.
“Jump!!” said Sunlight.
Ninetails jumped and avoided the attack.
“Counter with Solar Beam!!” said the trainer.
“Heliolisk, block his Solar Beam with your Solar Beam!!” said Robot Clemont
The two beam hit each other and caused an explosion.
“Hum, come back, Ninetails! Said Sunlight. You did a good job. Now, Go, Incineroar!!!”
“I never saw this Pokemon before, said the machine. I don’t have any data on him!!”
“Incineroar, use Cross Chop!!” said Sunlight.
The pokemon, fast like a tiger, hit Heliolisk and sent him crashing against a wall. The impact created dust, that disappeared quickly and revealed that the pokemon was K.O.
“You did a great job, Heliolisk, said Robot Clemont. I choose you, Magnezone!!”
“A Steel type, now? Asked Sunlight. A Cross Chop will easily get rid of it!!!”
“Magnezone, use Thunder Wave!!” said robot Clemont.
Incineroar was touched by the move and got paralyzed.
“Now, use Electrick Terrain!!” said the robot.
The arena was suddenly covered of an electricity field.
“Use Lock-On!” said the machine.
“Incineroar, use Cross Chop!!” said Sunlight.
The Pokemon hit Magnezone directly, but didn’t put him K.O.
“Use Zap Cannon!!” said Robot Clemont.
The attack hit Incineroar directly and put him K.O.
“Come back Incineroar, said Sunlight. Okay, Playtime’s over!! Go, Houndoom!!!”
“You can do it, brother!! Said Sunset. You can beat him!! I believe in you!!”
Sunlight felt a sudden burst of determination flowing in him.
“No mercy, Houndoom, said Sunlight. This battle ends now!! Houndoom, Mega-evolve!!!”
Houndoom Mega-evolved and howled loudly
“Use Inferno!!!” said Sunlight.
The attack hit Magnezone and put him K.O. The robot was surprised.
“You did great, Magnezone, he said. Now, come back. I send you, Luxray!!”
Luxray howled at Houndoom.
“Use Thunder Fangs!!” said the robot.
Luxray ran and bite Mega Houndoom in the neck.
“Houndoom, quick, use Crunch!!” said Sunlight
Houndoom pounded Luxray to the ground with his paws to bite him in the neck many times.
“Luxray!! Use roar!!” said Robot-Clemont.
Luxray’s attack knocked Houndoom in the air. The dog pokemon landed on his paws and growled back at Luxray.
“Use Hone Claws!!” said Sunlight
“Use Wild Charge!!” said Robot-Clemont.
Luxray covered his whole body of electricity and charged at Houndoom. Sunlight was surprised
“Oh no!! I got reckless!! He said. I let my guard down!!
Luxray hit Houndoom at full force, but Sunlight’s pokemon endured the attack like a champ.
“He tanked it!!? Said Robot-Clemont. Impossible!! That attack should have K.O’d Houndoom!!”
“Let’s finish this, said Sunlight. Houndoom, use Inferno!!”
Houndoom’s attack hit Luxray point-blank and caused a giant explosion and lot of smoke. When it disappeared, Houndoom was standing over Luxray, who was K.O.
“Yes!! I knew you could do it!! Said Sunset. That was awesome!!”
Houndoom reverted back to his normal form and Sunlight hugged him.
“I am proud of you, Houndoom, said the hero. I knew you could do it!!”
Houndoom licked Sunlight’s face. Robot-Clemont called back Luxray and walked in direction of the challenger.
“Congratulation, he said. That battle was very entertaining!!”
“That was a good match, said Sunlight. You are really good for a robot. I must say that you surprised me a lot”
“Thank you, I learned a lot from this match, said the machine. The bound you have with your pokemons is very strong”
“Like a certain trainer i know” said a voice.
A door opened and revealed a young man wearing a backpack and a blue engineer suit.
“Oh, You are back, Master!!” said Robot Clemont.
“Master? Said Sunlight. That mean that you are...”
“Yes, i am the Gym Leader of Lumiose City, answered the young man. My name is Clemont.”
“You were always in the tower, don’t you?” asked Sunlight.
“You got me, he answered. Yes, i watched both your and your sister’s matches and i must say that you are impressive. Not only you have powerful pokemons, but you also have an strong bond with them.”
“Exactly like Ash and Serena!! Said a little girl. Hi, My name is Bonnie, by the way. I am Clemont’s little sister!!”
“You are siblings? Said Sunset. That is awesome. I am also Sunlight’s younger sister!!” (She was born a few hours after Sunlight)
“No way!! Said Bonnie. Really?!!”
Clemont gave to Sunlight his Voltage Badge. He saw that he already collected 4 badges.
“Now, if you excuse me, i need to heal my pokemons, said Sunlight. You can come with us to the Pokemon Center if you want!!”
“I will go with him, said Sunset. I need to get back the pokemon i let at the Pokemon Center”
Sunset left the arena with Sunlight.
“Do you think what i am thinking?” asked Bonnie.
“I do, said Clemont. But do you really want us to do it?”
“Yes, i am sick of being in this tower, answered Bonnie. I need adventure!! I want to know them more!!”
“Me too, said the Gym Leader. Let’s pack our things!! Robot Clemont, I count on you to do my job while i’m gone.”
“Yes, Master!” said the robot.
One hour later, Sunlight was still waiting in the pokemon Center. He was playing on his Motisma-Dex to pass the time. Sunset, her, was playing with Mew. Nurse Joy came back with Sunlight’s Pokemons.
“Your pokemons recovered fully, Mr Blaze” she said.
“Thank you, Nurse Joy, said Sunlight. Have a good day!!”
He left the center but stopped when he saw Clemont and Bonnie waiting for him outside.
“You are a little bit late, said Sunlight. Me and Sunset were just leaving the Pokemon Center. Why are you here?”
“Me and my big brother want to follow you in your adventures!!” said Bonnie
“Uh...I don’t know” said Sunlight.
Sunset joined Sunlight.
“You know, she said. We could use their help. And we could make new friends!!”
“She is right, said Bonnie. Please say yes!!!”
“Please Sunlight, said Sunset. If Twilight was here, she would have already accepted.”
“Fine, answered Sunlight. They can follow us...But i am not nursing anyone!!”
“Now that we are friends, said Clemont, let’s head to Laverre. The sixth Gym Leader is located in this town.”
Mew left Sunset’s backpack and appeared in front of Bonnie. The pokemon laughed.
“Is this Mew? Asked Clemont. The Legendary Mew?!”
“Yes, said Sunset. We met a few weeks ago and he accepted to follow me in my adventure. He seem to like you, Bonnie...”
“Mew is attracted by humans with pure and kind hearts, said Clemont. I am not surprised that he like Bonnie.”
“Can we go, now? Asked Sunlight. We will talk on the way”
Bonnie paired up immediately with Sunset.
“You know, said Sunset, that will be nice to have another girl in the group to talk too.”
“We will share secrets, talk about boys, pet our pokemons...” said Bonnie.
In the same time, Clemont and Sunlight were having a discussion about the team Flare.
“I can’t believe Lysandre survived, said Clemont. I thought Zygarde killed him. And you told me that he have been cybernetized? That can’t be good.”
“Officer Jenny gave me the mission to investigate and stop him before he execute his plan, whatever it could be” said Sunlight.
“I am sure that Zygarde will stop him again” said Clemont.
“I wouldn’t be so sure about it, said Sunlight. Lysandre tell me that he wouldn’t do twice the same mistake. But if he doesn’t want to destroy the world again, what could he do?”
“We will find the answer sooner or later, said the inventor. Hum, what are these boots you are wearing...”
“These? Asked Sunlight. Just rocket boots.”
He activated them and landed off the ground.
“My brother tried to make a pair of rocket boots, but they exploded after a few minutes of utilisation” said Bonnie.
“Hum, do you allow me to analyse them?” asked Clemont.
“Meh” said Sunlight.
The group left the town and walked in direction of the next Gym.

Sunlight, Sunset, Clemont and Bonnie were walking for hours, when they finally decided to set a camp for the night. Sunset and Bonnie were installing the tents while Sunlight and Clemont were preparing the dinner.
“Hum, what’s that smell? Asked Bonnie. I like it!!”
“Oh, that is my Sweet and Spicy curry, answered Sunlight. I warn you, it is very spicy...”
Sunlight served a plate to Bonnie, Sunset, Clemont and his Houndoom. Bonnie took a bite and stayed silent for a few seconds.
“Are you okay, Bonnie!? Asked her brother. I knew it was too much for you!!”
“This curry is....Perfect!! She answered. I never ate a curry so delicious!!!”
Sunset also took a bite.
“Amazing, she said. This is delicious!!”
“Well, there goes nothing” said Clemont
He took a little bite too.
“Hum, this is not bad at all, said Clemont. In fact, i think i....I need some milk!!!”
Clemont took a bottle of milk and drank it.
“Ahhhhhhhh, he said. Sooooo Good!!”
“You will pay that bottle of milk, right?” Asked Sunlight.
“Uuuuuuh” answered Clemont
“I am kidding, said Sunlight. For now, let’s just sleep”
The next day, the group woke up and continued to travel. They passed by an itinerant market, where they bought some supplies and food.
“This is so boring, said Sunlight. I can’t support to do nothing except walking!”
“According to the map, said Sunset, we should arrive at Laverre City before the end of the day, if we continue to walk at this cadence”
“Only at the end of the day? Asked Sunlight. Fuck...Well, let’s hope there is trainers in the surroundings.”
“You can be sure of that, said Clemont. The forest we will have to pass before arriving to Laverre City is frequented by a lot of nature lovers and trainers.”
“Is this this forest i see right here?” asked Sunset.
“Yes, said Clemont. Let’s go”
The group arrived at the entrance of the forest. Sunlight entered first in it, followed by Clemont, Sunset and Bonnie. After a few moments, Sunlight suddenly took a different path.
“What are you doing, Sunlight? Asked Sunset. We have to stay together!!”
“Relax, i will be back, he answered. I know there is some powerful wild pokemons in these woods i can fight. My Charmeleon need to gain more experience and my pokemons need to exercise.”
He disappeared in the forest.
“Hum, Sunset, asked Clemont. Do you think you can protect Bonnie while i am gone?”
“I probably can, she answered. But why?”
“You girls probably want to talk about girl stuff, he said. And someone have to make sure your brother doesn’t get in trouble!”
Clemont left the girls and ran in the woods.
“Is he always like that?” asked Sunset.
“Yes, answered Bonnie. He can be so socially awkward by times”
“Hum, let’s continue, shall we?” said Sunset.
The girls continued to walk. Meanwhile, Sunlight’s Charmeleon was battling against an Ursaring.
“Alright!! Said Sunlight. Charmeleon, Finish him with Flamethrower”
Charmeleon hit ursaring with the fire blast and put him K.O.
“Well, that was the last wild pokemon in this part of the forest, he said. Let’s explore another part!”
He walked deeper in the forest, followed by his pokemons, Letting behind him a lot of fainted pokemons. Clemont arrived a few minutes later after Sunlight in the spot. He saw dozen of wild pokemons unconscious on the ground.
“Glad Bonnie is not here to see that, he thought. She would be crying. They are not dead, but they have been severely injured. “
Sunlight was still walking when he saw a red haired woman and her Houndoom laying on the ground, surrounded by 5 men wearing the uniforms of the Team Neo-Flare. Sunlight immediately ran to her rescue.
“Houndoom!! Mega-Evolve!!!” he said.
Sunlight’s Houndoom transformed while jumping to protect the woman and the other Houndoom.
“Hey, it’s the guy that destroyed our base, said one of the man. Let’s get him!!”
They ordered to their pokemons, which were only composed of Houdooms and Pyroars, to attack Sunlight and his pokemon.
“Let’s make that fight more fair, said the hero. Ninetails, Incineroar and Delphox, i choose you!!”
Suddenly, one the tugs was stroke by lightning.
“You really thought i was going to not follow you?” said Clemont to Sunlight.
“I knew you would have followed me, he answered. Well, let’s deal with these scumbags!”
“Totally agree, said Clemont. Luxray, use Thunderbolt on Pyroar!!”
The bolt of electricity stroke Pyroar and his trainer.
“Houmdoom, use Inferno!!!” said Sunlight.
The attack engulfed all the tugs and their pokemon in a stream of flames.
“Incineroar, use Darkest Lariat on this Houndoom!!” he shouted.
Incineroar grabbed the pokemon, made it spin around himself and threw him against another Houndoom
“Delphox, use Psychic on Pyroar!!” said Sunlight.
Delphox made Pyroar float and then threw him against the ground and trees repetitively.
“Ninetails, use Flamethrower!!” said Sunlight
“Luxray, use Thunder!!!” said Clemont
The two attacks combined put K.O the last pokemon of group. Clemont and Sunlight then tied them.
“What do we do with them now? Asked Clemont. Do we let them there, or should we deliver them to a police station?”
“I’ve got this” answered Sunlight.
He disappeared with the 5 grunts and the admin of the team Neo-Flare to the police station of Lumiose city.
“Good job, Mr. Blaze, said the Officer Jenny. With an admin of less in his team, Lysandre should be slowed in his plans, continue like that and the Team Neo-Flare will be history in no time.”
Sunlight saluted the officer and disappeared again. He reappeared beside Clemont, who was stupefied.
“What just happened? Asked Clemont. How did you do that? You know, teleport away?”
“Oh, simple, magic, said Sunlight. I have magic powers.”
“Oh, that make sense, he said. Oh, Wait a minute, i recognize that woman! She is from the Elite 4, her name is Malva, if i remember well”
Malva came back to reality and look around her. She got up and looked at the boys.
“Thank you, she said. Nice to see you again, Clemont. But who is the guy with you?”
“Oh, i am Blaze, i am just a trainer who is in Kalos to collect the 8 Gym badges and compete in the Pokemon League.”
“Well, nice to meet you” she said.
She saw Sunlight’s Houndoom looking at her Houndoom. His pokemon was wearing a collar with a Mega-Stone incrusted in it.
“You have a Houndoom too, i see, said said. He have a Mega-Stone on him, does that mean he can Mega-Evolve?”
“Yes, he can, answered Sunlight. Yours can too?”
“Yes, can i look at your team, just to verify something?” she said.
Sunlight showed his team to Malva.
“They are all Fire type, she said. I am myself a specialist of the Fire Type, do you want to do a fight? My Houndoom against yours?”
“Sure!! I’d love too!! He answered. Your Houndoom look super strong.”
“In that case, i will be the referee, said Clemont. Are you two ready?!”
Sunset and Clemont arrived to join them.
“Oh, there you are, said Bonnie. We saw bolts of Lightning and heard explosions”
“And we immediately came to see where they came from, said Sunset. What happened?”
“Oh, Me and Clemont just saved that woman, from a group of tugs, answered Sunlight. They resisted a little, to be honest, but we made quick work of them. I was about to challenge this woman when you arrived.”
“You can sit and look at the fight” said Clemont.
Bonnie and Sunset sat near a tree. Sunlight and Malva’s Houndooms were staring at each other with agressivity.
“Houndoom, Mega-evolve!!” said both of them at the same time.
The two pokemons transformed into their mega-forms under the astonished look of Sunset Shimmer.
“Wow, she have a Mega-Houndoom too? She asked. Who is that girl?”
“This is Malva, she is a Fire type Pokemon specialist, said Bonnie. She helped us to deal with Lysandre many years ago!”
“She is also a member of the Elite 4, she is no joke and few trainers can beat her” said Clemont.
“Hum, you said that she was attacked by tugs, said Sunset. But if she is indeed a member of the Elite 4, why she couldn’t deal with them alone?”
“They surprised me, said Malva. I was dominating the battle when one of them stunned me from behind”
“Then, i saw her, said Sunlight. And Clemont arrived just a few moments later.”
“Oh, that make sense” said Sunset.
“Houndoom, use Hone Claws!” said Sunlight.
“Use Attract!!” said Malva.
“Wait, what?!” Said the hero.
“Your Houndoom is a male, she said. Mine is a female.”
“That doesn’t matter, said Sunlight. Houndoom!! Use Crunch!!”
Houndoom bite Malva’s Houndoom violently.
“Impossible!! Said Malva, It’s like if my attack didn’t affected him..”
“I trained all of my Pokemons to resist to love-inducing moves” said Sunlight.
“Really? Said Sunset. Why that doesn’t surprise me at all?”
“Because love doesn’t have his place in a battle, said Sunlight. I don’t let it get to my head, and that should be the same for my pokemons”
Malva received a call. She read it and look at the group.
“Hum, we’ll have to report our battle to another day, she said. My obligations of Elite 4 member, you know. I am sorry, Blaze. Next time we met, we will continue that battle. Goodbye!!”
She jumped on the back of her Pokemon and disappeared in the forest. Sunlight returned Houndoom in his Pokeball.
“Well, now that we are reunited, it’s time to continue our way” he said.

Chapter 4: Beauty Contest
Sunlight and the team finally reached Laverre after a whole day of walk. They were tired and decided to stop at a motel for the night. Sunset and Bonnie decided to share a room and Clemont and Sunlight, another one, to save on money. Bonnie was playing with Sunset’s hairs while she was watching the T.V. In the boys room, Clemont was studying Sunlight’s rocket boots while the hero was playing on his Pokedex. The next day, they headed to the Gym but were stopped by a crowd.
“Oh, right, i forgot to told you that Laverre organize a Fashion Show once a year” said Clemont.
“I suppose that mean that the Gym must be closed for the day” said Sunlight.
“Look at the bright side, that let you more time to prepare” said Clemont.
“Hum” said Sunlight, a bit upset and sour.
“You should take part to this fashion show, Sunset, said Bonnie. You are so pretty!!”
“Thank you, Bonnie, but fashion is not my thing, she said. Why don’t you do it Sunlight?”
“Me? Never” he said.
“Oh, also, at the end of the show, she will choose someone in the public to challenge her to a pokemon battle, said Clemont. If you beat her, she will give you the badge. If you fail, well, you could wait to tomorrow to fight her again”
“Oh, Hi, Clemont, hi Bonnie!!” said a woman.
“Oh, hi Valerie!!” said Clemont.
“Hi!!” said Bonnie
“What are you 2 doing in Laverre? She asked. I thought you wanted to stay to Lumiose Town”
“We met these 2 trainers, said Bonnie, and we decided to follow them in their adventure.”
“My name is Sunset Shimmer, she said. I am travelling in the region to collect the 8 badges for the Pokemon League.”
“Oh, well, my name is Valerie, she said. I am the Gym Leader of Laverre. Nice to meet you! And who is that pretty young man who look upset?”
“Oh, this is my brother, Sunlight Blaze, she said. He is also travelling across Kalos for the badges and to compete in the Pokemon League. Excuse him for his attitude, he is just upset to not be able to challenge you to a Gym Battle. Sunlight, Don’t be rude and change your attitude!”
“Meh, if you look for me, i will be walking in town” He said, leaving the group
“Forgive him, said Sunset. I don’t know why he is like that”
“That’s okay, she said. Hum, do you want to be one of the pageant queens of the contest?”
“Hum, what is the 1st prize?” she asked.
“The winner win the trophy, for sure, but also a big prize in money and his/her picture in the Kalos Fashion magazine. But if you win, i’ll give you this Fairy Badge in bonus.”
“In that case, i’m in!!” she said.
“I will go with you!” said Bonnie.
“And i will try to calm down Sunlight, said Clemont. I will join you later!!”
The 2 girls and Clemont went on a different way. Sunlight, meanwhile, was in the forest, training with his pokemons for the battle of tomorrow.
“If i’ll have to wait until tomorrow, he thought. I should at least use that time to get better”
Sunlight heard someone coming in his direction.
“Someone’s coming, he said. Houndoom, be ready to pass to the action”
Clemont revealed himself with his Luxray.
“Oh, it’s you, said Sunlight. Why are you following me?”
“Well, our sisters are with Valerie, he answered. Sunset will take part in the contest and you should at least encourage her, don’t you think?”
“I thought she didn’t want to compete, he said. Why did she changed her mind?”
“Hum, Valerie told us that the winner will get a Gym Badge, said Clemont. Uh..? Sunlight? Where are you?”
He was already gone, heading to the inscription stand.
“I am sorry, said the man in the stand. But the Fashion Contest is only for girls”
Sunlight fell on the ground.
“Dang it!!!!” he shouted
Clemont arrived, exhausted.
“You could have prevented me before disappearing like that!!” he said.
“You could have precised that the contest was only for girls!!” said Sunlight
“For my defense, you didn’t let me finish” said Clemont.
Sunlight blushed.
“Right, he said. He he he he...Well, you know what, i don’t want to receive the badge without a fight, i will wait tomorrow to challenge her”
“Hum, there is still a chance she choose you at the end of the show” said the Gym Leader.
“Meh, said the hero. Let’s just assist to this contest.”
Sunlight entered in the crowd, with Clemont to his sides.
“Ladies and gents, said Valerie. Welcome to this 20th edition of Laverre’s Fashion Contest!! And to celebrate this special event, we prepared lot of surprises for you, visitors and citizens in the crowd!! And we modified the winning prizes for the participants too!! Are you ready?!”
The crowd cheered and shouted of joy and euphory.
“In that case, let’s the competition begin!!!” she shouted.
The first girl showed up and walked on the stage. She saluted the crowd and took elegant poses. The judges gave her a total score of 26 and she returned in her room.
“Just 26!? Said the girl. How dare they!!”
The next girl got on the stage, she was wearing a bright fairy tale dress. She also saluted the crowd and took poses. The Judges gave her a 25. The girl returned in her room and screamed of rage. An hour later, there was only Sunset left.
“There it is, said Clemont. This is your sister’s turn.”
“Valerie kept the best for last, said Sunlight. Sunset will win, i have no doubt.”
In Sunset’s room, Bonnie was finalising Sunset’s make-up.
“Are you sure they will love it?” asked Bonnie.
Sunset had opted for a Punk Rock outfit and look. She had dyed her hairs blue, green and yellow, and changed her habitual haircut for a spiked one. (Inspired by Sunlight).
“A friend of mine who is an expert in fashion told me that in the world of Fashion, you have to innovate, this is exactly what i will do with this outfit. Until now, all the girls only wore fancy dresses. If i want to get noticed, i need to be different!”
“I am with you, said Bonnie. Good luck!!”
Sunset walked on the stage.
”You can do it, Sunset, she thought. Trust yourself.”
She opened the curtains and revealed herself. The crowd gasp of surprise while Sunset was walking with style and sass. Clemont was astonished, Sunlight was smiling.
“Typical Sunset, he said. Yep, the victory is already her”
The crowd broke the silence and cheered her. She waited for the judges to give their score. To win, she had to get a perfect score.
”They like it, she thought. They like it! I hope the judge loved it too!”
The judge gave their final scores. The two first gave her a 10. Sunset hold her breath and looked at Sunlight in the crowd. He was smiling and making a thumb up. She immediately felt better. She then looked at Clemont, who was nervous and about to faint from the tension and suspence and smile. The last judge revealed her score, which was a 10
“We have our winner!! Shouted Valerie. Sunset Shimmer, with a perfect score of 30/30!!”
“I told you she would got this, said Sunlight to Clemont. I never doubted of her”
“Neither i did” said Clemont.
Sunset looked at her friends with joy. Sunlight climbed on the stage and made her swirl in the air before hugging her. Sunset blushed from that sudden mark of affection from Sunlight.
“I knew you could do it, he said. Now, go get your prize”
She walked to the podium to get her price from Valerie.
“Congratulation, she said. There is your prize!”
She gave to Sunset the 1 000 000 yens check, plus the Cup, a Ribbon and finally, the Fairy Badge,
“Thank you, said Sunset. I can’t believe i won.”
“I am not surprised, said Valerie. I would never have thought of a Punk Rock look. This is original and unusual, this is what the people want in Fashion.”
She walked to the stage and the crowd cheered for her one last time
“And to thank you for your support, each of you will receive a gift pack before leaving. Now, This is the time for me to choose one among you to challenge me in a Pokemon Battle. And i already know who i am going to choose”
She point at Sunlight.
“You, young man, she said. I like your outfit!! And you seem to be talented!! Do you accept to challenge me in a Pokemon Battle?”
Sunlight turned his head.
“Hum, on the stage? He asked. I don’t know if this is a good idea”
“And why?” she asked.
“I use mainly Fire types pokemons, he answered. And this stage is partially made of wood and metal.”
“You have nothing to worry about, she said. I am sure the stage can take a little heat.”
“When i am in a battle, he said with burning eyes. I go all out, but if you insist on battling here, don’t blame me for the damages...”
He smiled and put his mask on.

Chapter 5: Blazing Beauty
Sunlight and Valerie were ready to battle. The Gym Leader felt suddenly intimidated by the fire reflecting on his mask glasses and the sensation of power that was emanating from him. She imagined for an instant a spiritual dragon materializing behind Sunlight. She was suddenly overwhelmed by an unexplainable fear and left the stage.
"Uh...It seem that Valerie just left the stage, said an assistant. I am sorry everyone, but that will be everything for today. Thank you for your comprehension and assistance. Don't forget to get your gift before leaving!!"
The crowd started to leave. Sunset, Clemont and Sunlight were surprised.
"What's got on to her? asked Bonnie. Why did she ran away like that?"
Sunlight left the stage to look for her. After a few minutes, he found her in her room. She was on her bed and looked terrified. He realized that was his fault. He knocked at her door.
"Don't come further, she said. If you want the badge, i left him in the bag you see at your feets. Just take it and leave."
"I am sorry, he said. I am sorry if i scared you. I was just excited for the battle and that excitation fueled my fighting spirit and determination."
Valerie left her bed and opened the door. She looked at him and saw in his eyes the same flame, but less intense. On his side, Sunlight was intrigued by her eyes. They were beautiful and were piercing into his soul.
"I am sorry if i overreacted, she said. But you were just so..."
"...Intimidating, i know, he said. I didn't think someone could be this sensible to intimidation, especially a Gym Leader."
"I...this is just that i don't like fire, she said. I am terrified of it. When i saw a flame in your eyes, i got scared."
"And i got scared too, sometimes. But you know what i do when i am afraid?" asked Sunlight.
"No" said the Gym Leader.
"I turn it into courage, he answered. Fear can paralyze you, but it can also give you the will to face the danger."
"I...He's right, she thought. I am a Gym Leader, for Arceus' sake. I faced Alan and Ash's blazing determination, i can take his too."
Sunlight was about to leave when Valerie hold him by the arm.
"I will battle you, she said. This time, i promised you a battle, and you'll have it!!"
"In that case, let's do this!" he said.
Sunset and her friends arrived near Sunlight.
"Oh, there you are, said Clemont. You need to stop disappearing like that!"
Sunlight explained to them that him and Valerie had a talk about what happened earlier and that they solved the problem. Valerie brought Sunlight into a room where an arena was built.
"The walls are fireproof, she said. So, you can go all out"
A referee appeared from a secret trap in the floor and explained the rules of the battle.
"Each trainer can use up to 3 pokemons, he said. The first trainer to defeat the opponent's team win. Only the challenger is allowed to change pokemon during battle! Are you ready? Send your first Pokemon!!!"
"I was waiting for this, said Sunlight, putting his mask on. Let's do this, shall we?! I send you, Delphox!!"
"I am not afraid, she said. Throw at me all the heat you want, i will win!! I send you, Aromatisse!!"
The pokemon started to produce a strong, sweet odor. He felt a little bit dizzy, but got over the smell pretty quickly.
"You probably smelt the strong perfume of my Aromatisse, said Valerie. I am not surprised that you and your Delphox actually resist to it's effects. Aromatisse, use Sweet Scent!!"
The arena started to be filled with a cloud of perfume that made Delphox a little bit dizzy.
"Aromatisse, use Moonblast!!" she shouted
Aromatisse started charging her attack.
"Delphox, be ready to counter with Flamethrower." said Sunlight.
Aromatisse threw her attack, Delphox threw her attack right after. The two attacks hit and caused an explosion and lot of smoke
"Delphox, use Mystical Fire!!" said Sunlight.
The fire attack hit Aromatisse.
"That should lower down the power of your pokemon attacks" he said.
"That won't matter, she said. Aromatisse, use Rain Dance!!"
The Pokemon summoned rain
"Of course, you would use this move" said Sunlight.
"I am not done yet!! Use Misty Terrain!!" said Valerie.
The terrain changed and a fairy mystical energy was emanating from the ground.
"And now, use Thunderbolt!!" said Valery
Delphox is hit by the attack.
"Delphox, use Future Sight" said Sunlight.
Delphox moved is wand in the sky.
"Aromatisse, use Thunderbolt!!" said Valerie.
"Delphox, use Psychic!!" said Sunlight.
Aromatisse is left in the air and couldn't move. after a few moments, the Future Sight attack hit the fairy pokemon and put him K.O.
"Aromatisse is unable to fight!!" said the referee.
"Alright, said Bonnie. I knew he could beat Aromatisse!!"
"You can do it, brother!!" shouted Sunset.
"He is no joke, thought Valerie. Using Psychic to immobilize my Pokemon so he can't avoid Future Sight, this is a great combo. If i want to beat him, i need to counter his technique."
She sent on the battlefield a Togekiss.
"Togekiss!! use Moonblast!!" she shouted.
Togekiss blasted Delphox with a ball of magic energy.
"Delphox!! said Sunlight. Use Future Sight!!"
Delphox charged psychic energy in her staff.
"Togekiss!! use Air Slash!!!" shouted Valerie.
The air blades stroke Delphox and made her flinch.
"Use Sky Attack!!" she said.
Togekiss flew high in the sky and charged his power, then, stroke at Delphox at full speed. The power of the blow sent Delphox on the ground. The Future Sight attack began to strike on Togekiss.
"Not this time!! she said. Togekiss, use Protect!!!"
Togekiss blocked the attack with a shield. A few moment later, Delphox fainted.
"Delphox is unable to fight!!" said the referee.
"I have to admit that Valerie used a pretty solid combo, said Clemont. Air Slash can cause the target to flinch due to the surprise, letting her time to charge Sky Attack, which deal a lot of damages. And using Protect to block Future Sight was a simple but well thought strategy."
"I know Sunlight can still pull a win" said Sunset.
"I send you, Charmeleon!!" said Sunlight.
The rain suddenly finally stopped.
"Togekiss, use Air Slash!!" said Valerie.
"Dodge!!" said Sunlight.
Charmeleon dodged the attack.
"Use Belly Drum!!" said Sunlight.
The pokemon glowed of a magic orange aura.
"Togekiss!! Use Moonblast!!" said Valerie.
Togekiss threw the attack at Charmeleon.
"Use Metal Claws!!!" shouted Sunlight.
Charmeleon sliced Moonblast in half with his claws and stroke Togekiss, who was thrown against the ground.
"Use Mega-Kick!!!" said Sunlight.
Charmeleon dove to the ground and hit Togekiss with a powerful kick that caused an explosion. Dust then covered the area for a moment, before fading, revealing that Togekiss fainted.
"Togekiss can't fight anymore!!" said the referee.
Clemont, Sunset Shimmer and Bonnie cheered Sunlight.
"That was unexpected, said Clemont. Using Belly Drum increased the physical power of a pokemon to his maximum, but use a lot of his vital energy in exchange. But using a direct Steel type attacks such as Metal Claws, who are super effective against the Fairy type pokemons, after using Belly Drum was a genius move."
Sunset was admirative of her brother's talent, and knew she had to be as smart as him if she wanted to beat him in the League.
"Great job, Togekiss, said Valerie. Your efforts won't be vain...Go!! Sylveon!!"
The pokemon revealed his pretty ribbons and cute face. Sunlight saw that Charmeleon needed rest.
"Come back, Charmeleon, he said. This is your turn to shine, Houndoom!!!"
Houndoom howled menacingly.
"I won't hold back, said the hero. By the flames, we are bound, by the fire, we'll fight, Can our souls make one!! Houndoom, Mega-Evolve!!"
Houndoom mega-evolved. Valerie and her Sylveon were looking at the transformation with surprise. Houndoom finished to mega-evolve, looking even more menacing with the all the extra skulls and bones on his body.
"I am ready to face anything, said Valerie. Alright, Sylveon, use Baby-Doll Eyes!!"
Sylveon made cute eyes that made Mega-Houndoom hesitated to attack.
"Now, use Moonblast!!" she said.
"Dodge!!" said Sunlight.
Houndoom easily dodged the attack.
"Sylveon, use Dazzling Gleam!!" said Valerie
The attack hit Mega-Houndoom as he landed on the ground. The power of the attack sent him a few meters back.
"Use Nasty Plot!!" said Sunlight.
Houndoom made a devilish smile and started to increase his power.
"Wait my signal, Sylveon!!" said Valerie.
"Houndoom!! Use Inferno!!" said Sunlight
"I knew you would do that, said Valerie. Sylveon, use Dig!!"
The pokemon disappeared in the ground and dodged the attack.
"Her pokemon is underground, said Sunlight. Houndoom, use your sense of smell to detect Sylveon, then use Crunch when she will get out the ground."
Houndoom sniffed the ground and detected Sylveon location, but it was too late. Sylveon popped off the ground and got under Houndoom.
"Use Tickle!!" said Valerie.
Sylveon started tickling Houndoom before he can bite her. Sunlight's pokemon was unable to move and laid down on the ground.
"Now, use Moonblast!!" said the Gym Leader.
The attack hit Houndoom point-blank and forced him to revert to his normal form. The Pokemon then fainted.
"Houndoom is unable to fight!!!" said the referee
Clemont, Sunset and Bonnie were shocked. But Sunlight didn't have any reaction, and was smiling instead.
"I knew you were powerful, he said to Valerie. I knew that behind that cute and sensible Fairy look of yours hide a powerful dragon. Come back, Houndoom, you fought well. Everything is in your hands, Charmeleon."
Charmeleon appeared and faced Sylveon with confidence.
"Sylveon, use Dig!!" said Valerie.
"Be ready to strike back" said Sunlight.
Sylveon reappeared below Charmeleon
"Dodge it!!" said Sunlight.
Charmeleon avoided the attack and landed a few steps behind Sylveon.
"Use Metal Claws!!" said Sunlight.
"Use Dazzling Gleam!!" said Valerie
Charmeleon tanked Sylveon's attack point blank and hit her with his metallic claws multiple times, damaging her body and her ribbons. Charmeleon then grabbed two of them.
"Finish her, said Sunlight. Use Flamethrower!!"
Charmeleon blasted the pokemon with fire for a moment. When he stopped breathing fire, Sylveon was K.O. Charmeleon put his feet on Sylveon's body and growled victoriously. He suddenly glew blue and started to evolve.
"He is..." said Clemont.
"Evolving..."said Sunset.
Sunlight looked his pokemon evolve into a Charizard. But instead of being orange, he was black.
"Charmeleon!! You evolved!! said Sunlight. This is awesome!! You are a Charizard now, a black Charizard!!"
Valerie called back her Pokemon and walked to Sunlight.
"Thank you for this battle, she said. You are indeed a powerful trainer. I am proud to give you the Fairy Badge, symbol of your victory against me."
Sunlight's friends joined him in the arena. Sunset hugged her brother.
"You did it!! she said. Do you think i will have the chance to fight you one day, Valerie?"
"Only time will tell, she said. But for now, you should head to Anistar City. This is where the seventh Gym Leader is located. She is a Psychic type pokemon specialist. You'll learn more of her when you'll meet her there."
She left the arena. Sunlight and the group went to the Pokemon Center where they started to talk.
"The next Gym Leader will use Psychic type pokemons, said Sunlight. I have two Dark types and one Psychic type pokemon in my team. Hum, now that i think about it, your pokemons are all Psychic type, Sunset..."

"Hum, i love the idea, she said. But are not you the one who told me that i couldn't train with you a few weeks ago?"
Sunlight remember telling her that he wouldn't let her practice with him.

Chapter 6: Double Battle for the 7th Badge
Sunlight, Sunset, Clemont and Bonnie didn’t lost their time and after 2 days of walk, they finally made it to Anistar city. On the way, Sunset’s Kadabra finally evolved into an Alakazam. That happened when her and another trainer, who happened to also own a Kadabra, and revealed her that the only way to have their pokemons evolve both into Alakazam was to make a Pokemon trade. (They did the trade, and right after, another one, to get back their respective pokemons). Now, the group was heading to the city Battle Gym to challenge Olympia for the 7th badge.
“Are you ready, Sunset?” asked Sunlight.
“I think i am, she answered. I have in my team 3 fully evolved pokemons able to Mega-Evolve...”
“Who will challenge her first? Asked Sunlight. Me or you?”
“Go first, she said. I will be watching you.”
The group entered in the arena and were amazed by the beauty of the place. They saw in front of them a woman, wearing an elegant robe.
“I was waiting for your arrival, said the woman. Welcome to the Anistar Gym! I am Olympia, the actual Gym Leader.”
“You...were waiting us, asked Sunset. Are you a Psychic?”
“Yes, Sunset Shimmer, she answered. You are also one as well. Only difference is i can see the future of someone while you can see the past of someone.”
“Is that true?” asked Sunlight.
“Yes, answered Clemont. She is the one who predicted the events that almost destroyed Kalos a few years ago...Her visions never lie.”
“I am happy to see you two again” said Olympia.
“Same for us!” said Bonnie.
“Alright, the presentations are done, said Sunlight. Now, let’s battle!”
“Have you decided who will go first yet?” asked Bonnie.
“That won’t be necessary, answered Olympia. I will challenge both of them in a double battle”
“Me and her? Asked Sunlight. Hum, are you sure?”
“I need to verify something, answered the Gym Leader. I want to see how strong is your bond to each other”
Suddenly, Mew left the bag and teleported above Olympia’s head.
“Hello little one” she said.
Mew cuddled against her hand when she was petting him.
“Seeing Mew in person is a very rare honor, she said. And the honor is even greater if he allows you to play with him or consider him as a good friend. You two are definitively quite the lucky bunch. But coming back to the battle, that will be the two of you against me. I will use only two pokemons, and you will use only one each.”
“I already know who will battle, said Sunlight. And you, Sunset?”
“I think yes, she answered. Let’s do this!!”
The duo walked into the arena battle zone. The referee gave the start signal after re-explaining the rules. Sunlight was the first to send his pokemon.
“Hum, I chose you, Charizard!!” he said.
“And me, i chose you, Gardevoir!!” said Sunset.
“Slowbro and Slowking, i chose you!” said Olympia.
“That’s new, said Clemont. But i expected her to upgrade her deck of pokemon soon or later”
Sunlight looked at Sunset.
“Just trust your instincts, he said. We will only beat her if we do this together.”
“If you say so, she said. But tell me you have a plan right now?”
“I don’t” he answered.
“What?! Said his sister. You are kidding, right? Right!?”
“No, he said. But you know way more than me on Psychic type pokemons, sis. If there is one person able to make us win, it’s you. I believe in you...”
Sunset felt her heart filled with determination and confidence after hearing these words.
“And i won’t deceive you!! She said. Let’s do this!!”
“Charizard, Let’s do this!!” said Sunlight, about to activate Charizard Mega-Evolution.
Sunset looked at him then at her Pokemon.
“Gardevoir!! You waited for this!! She said. And the moment finally arrived!! Are you ready!?”
For answer, the Pokemon made an affirmative head sign. Sunset and Sunlight looked at each other with a smile.
“Mega-Evolve!!” said both of them at the same while activating their Keystones.
Their pokemons Mega-evolved, under the amazed looks of Clemont, Bonnie and Olympia.
“I knew you would use the Mega-Evolution, said the Gym Leader. But don’t think that will be an easy victory for you...”
Olympia revealed her Keystone, hidden in her sleeve.
“This is...!” said Bonnie
“...A Keystone, said Clemont. That mean....”
“Slowbro, Mega-Evolve!!” said Olympia.
Slowbro mega-evolved and revealed his new form.
“Alright, said Sunlight. Charizard, use Dragon Claws!!”
“Gardevoir, use Moonblast!!”
Olympia smiled.
“Slowbro, use Amnesia!! Slowking, use Psychic!! She said.
Slowking immobilized the two pokemons with his attack to then project them away.
“Gardevoir!! Said Sunset. Use Shadow Ball on Slowking!”
Gardevoir threw a ball of shadow energy on the Pokemon. Only for it to be blocked by Mega-Slowbro without any problem.
“Charizard, use Thunder Punch!!” said Sunlight
Charizard charged his fist with electricity and flew to Slowbro.
“Slowbro, use Protect!! Said Olympia. Slowking, use Hydropump!!”
Slowbro blocked the attack and Slowking then projected a huge blast of water at Charizard and sent him away.
“She have a solid defense, said Sunset. They countered each of our moves...What are we going to do, brother?”
“I...don’t know” he answered.
“Slowking, use Ice Beam on Charizard!! Slowbro, use Iron Tail on Gardevoir!” said Olympia
Slowking projected a beam of ice at Charizard while Slowbro swirled in direction of Gardevoir, his tail glowing silver.
“Charizard, use Flamethrower!!” said Sunlight.
“Gardevoir, use Attract!!” said Sunset.
The flame blast countered the ice beam while Slowbro stopped attacking, infatuated.
“Gardevoir, use Shadow Ball!!” she said.
Slowbro got stroke by the attack but took it without moving.
“Charizard, use Flamethrower on Slowking!!” said Sunlight.
“Counter it with Hydro Pump!!” said Olympia.
The water stream collided with the fire stream and covered the arena in a mist. Sunset had an idea.
“Gardevoir!! Use Thunderbolt!!” said Sunset.
Gardevoir summoned a bolt of lightning that stroked Slowbro, Slowking and Charizard(The mist conducted the electricity on all the pokemons). Mega Slowbro and Mega-Charizard X took it without problem but Slowking had been severely hurt.
“Charizard, use Thunder Punch!!” said Sunlight.
Charizard was about to stroke Slowking with his fist..
“Use Psychic!!” said Olympia
Slowking was about to attack, but he stopped suddenly and fell on the ground. Charizard hit him with all his power and sent the Pokemon away.
“Thunderbolt must have paralyzed Slowking, said Clemont. Sunlight and Sunset have to take advantage of that...”
“Gardevoir, achieve Slowking with Shadow Ball!!” shouted Sunset.
The attack stroke Slowking and put him K.O.
“Now, we can focus on Mega-Slowbro!!” said Sunlight.
“Impressive, said Olympia, But that’s not enough!! What?!”
Gardevoir was on the back of Charizard.
“Times to finish this!!” said Sunlight.
“With pleasure!!” said Sunset.
“Charizard, Use Dragon Claws!!” said the hero.
“Gardevoir, Use Thunderbolt!!” said his sister
The two Pokemons united their attacks and stroke Slowbro with all their power. A cloud of smoke followed and soon disappeared, revealing that Slowbro was K.O.
“Slowbro and Slowking have been defeated, said the Referee. The victory goes to the Challengers, Sunlight Blaze and Sunset Shimmer!!”
Olympia smiled, and called back her pokemons.
“Well played, you two, she said. You defeated me fair and square. There is your badges, you earned them...”
She gave to both of them the Psychic Badge,
“You have only one Gym Leader left to defeat, Wulfric. His arena is situated at Snowbell City. I prevent you, it’s a bit cold right there.”
“What was the vision you had of my future” asked Sunlight.
“I saw you facing against the incarnation of madness, she answered. A madman that came back from the grave to take his revenge. I also saw that an unexpected ally would join you in this battle.”
Sunlight knew she was refering to Lysandre with these words.
“Now, leave, she said. And one last thing i have to told you before you go, Sunset.”
“Yes?” asked Sunset.
“You will have a big part to play in the events i foresaw, she answered. And you’ll make another friend on your way to the League.”
“Uh, thank you!!” she said.
The group left the arena and went to the Pokemon Center.
“Well, that was a smart move to use Thunderbolt during the battle” said Sunlight.
“Really? Answered Sunset. But i could have paralyzed your pokemon and also mine”
“Sure, said the hero. But sometimes, you have to take risks to win. And that risk paid in our battle. But i can’t stop thinking Olympia let us win...”
“Why would she do that? Asked Clemont. I can say however say that luck played a huge part in your victory...”
“Yeah, you may be right, said Sunset. That mean we still have to get better...”
“What are we waiting for, said Sunlight. Let’s go!! Snowbelle City, we are coming for you!!”

The group walked for many days, but finally made it to Snowbelle City. The hardest obstacle was the Ice Mountain they had to travel through. The icy cold and winds were hard for Sunlight to endure and he was drowsy most of the time. Now, the heroes were taking a hot cocoa at the local Pokemon Center.
“I am not going through these mountains again, said Sunlight. No, Nada...I almost died many times, and not only from hypothermia.”
He stared at Clemont, who looked somewhere else.
“Yes, i am looking at you, Clemont, he said. Your invention caused an avalanche that almost killed all of us!!”
“I said i was sorry, answered the inventor. Geez....”
Sunlight got up and left the Pokemon Center. Sunset followed him.
“Where are you going?!” she asked.
“I am heading to the Gym of this city, he answered. The faster i get my last badge, the sooner i will leave this hell...”
“Oh, okay...” she said.
“I’ll see you later!” said the hero
Sunlight headed then to the Gym Leader’s arena. He entered in and heard a computer voice talking to him.
“Welcome to the Snowbelle Battle Gym, said the voice. The Gym Leader is in that direction! Hum, i detect that you are shivering.”
“I am fine, he answered. I will get used to it.”
“This is your choice” said the robotic voice.
Sunlight entered in the arena and saw a imposant man standing at the other side of it.
“Welcome, challenger!! Said the man. I am Wulfric, the Gym Leader of Snowbelle City!”
The referee started explaining the rules of the match and was about to gave the start signal. Sunlight removed his warm coat, revealing his costume. He then removed the costume, letting him shirtless (He was wearing tight pants underneath the costume.). He immediately felt the icy cold crippling his body.
“Hum, love showing those muscles, do ya? Said Wulfric. That may work on girls and women, but it got nothing on me...”
“I am not doing that for the show, he answered. You see, i am sensible to cold and normally, i would wear warm clothes to fight you.”
Wulfric saw that his opponent was shivering.
“Hum, you have guts, he answered. I like it...”
“Each trainer will use 3 pokemons, said the referee. Are you ready? Send your first Pokemon!”
“Go, Avalugg!!” said Wulfric.
“Alright, then i send you, Ninetails!!” said Sunlight.
“Hum, so, that will be a fire vs ice battle, said the Gym Leader. That promise to be interesting. Avalugg, use Stone Edge!!”
Avalugg summoned rock blades from the ground in direction of Ninetails.
“Dodge them!! Said Sunlight. And then counter with Sunny Day.”
Ninetails gracefully jumped over the rock blades and used Sunny Day. Soon, the arena was covered of bright sunlight and our hero stopped shivering, alimented in energy by the heat and light.
“Use Flamethrower!!” said Sunlight.
“Avalugg!! Use Avalanche!!” shouted the Gym Leader.
Avalugg took Ninetails attack and countered by blasting a big cloud of ice and snow at his opponent. Ninetails got hit and was knocked away.
“Avalugg, use Hail!!” said Wulfric.
Avalugg summoned hail, that started falling in the arena. Sunlight was hurted by the little balls of ice and same for Ninetails. Avalugg body suddenly glowed and some of his injuries disappeared.
“Now, use Hydro Pump!!” said Wulfric.
Avalugg threw at Ninetails, still trapped in the snow, a blast of water that sent her sliding against a wall.
“Ninetails is unable to fight!!” announced the referee.
Sunlight called back Ninetails and sent Delphox.
“Hum, Use Hydro Pump again!! Said Wulfric!!”
“Dodge!! And use Fire Blast!!” said Sunlight.
Delphox dodged the attack and sent a big blast of fire at Avalugg, who couldn’t dodge it.
“Avalugg is unable to fight!!” said the referee
Wulfric called back Avalugg.
“Alright, this is your turn, Glalie!!” said the Gym Leader.
“Delphox, use Fire Blast!!” said Sunlight.
“Not so fast!! Use Protect, Glalie!!” shouted Wulfric
Glalie blocked the attack with a magic barrier.
“Now, Glalie, use Blizzard!!” said the Gym Leader
Glalie sent at Delphox a concentrated and powerful ice storm, which also hurt Sunlight and sent him on the ground, shivering. The blizzard disappeared and revealed Delphox covered of ice and snow, unable to move.
“Finish her with Sheer Cold!!” said Wulfric.
Glalie summoned from the ground a wave of ice that Froze Delphox solid. Then, the ice broke and Delphox felt on the ground, K.O.
“Delphox is unable to fight” said the referee.
Sunlight called her back. He had severy frostbites and had uncontrollable shivering spams.
“Alright, this is your turn, Charizard!!” he said.
“Glalie! Use Blizzard!!” said Wulfric.
“You won’t!! Said Sunlight. Charizard!! Use Flare Blitz!!”
Charizard surrounded himself in fire and get through the blizzard to stroke Glalie.
“Now, stop and use Flamethrower!!” he said.
Charizard stopped in front of Glalie and blasted him with fire. The attack put Glalie K.O.
“Glalie is unable to continue the battle!!” said the referee.
“That was very smart of you, you know, said the Gym Leader. Using Flare Blitz to get through Blizzard, then immediately change to Flamethrower.”
Sunlight began to feel dizzy and felt lost of consciousness.
“You don’t look alright, said Wulfric, In that case, i will end the battle quick...Abomasnow!! I chose you!!”
Abomasnow appeared. Wulfric revealed his Keystone to Sunlight.
“Abomasnow, Mega-Evolve!!” said the Gym Leader.
“Cha..Charizard, said Sunlight. Let’s end this battle now! Mega-Evol...”
Sunlight suddenly lost consciousness. The last thing he saw before fainting was the face of Charizard. When he reopened the eyes, he was at the Pokemon Center, wrapped in tons of warm bed sheets. Sunset, Nurse Joy, Wulfric, Clemont and Bonnie were with him.
“He woke up!!” said Nurse Joy
“Ugh...What happened?” he asked, sitting on the hospital bed.
“What happened? Asked Wulfric. Well, you lost consciousness during our fight. You clearly overestimated your resistance to cold, my dear. Luckily, i was able to get you at the Pokemon Center just in time.”
“You were in hyporthemia, said Nurse Joy. Why did you insisted to fight shirtless?”
“Well, i wanted to spice up the battle, he answered. Prove to myself i am strong enough to face anything”
“That was stupid of you, said Sunset. You could have died!!”
“But i didn’t” he said with a smile.
Sunset Shimmer slapped him.
“You find that funny?! She said. You had me worried sick, Sunlight. I could have lose you because of your stupidity and pride!”
“That mean i lost the Gym Battle, didn’t i?” asked Sunlight to Wulfric.
“Not exactly, i told the referee to pause the fight, he answered. When you will be ready, we will finish the battle at my arena”
Sunlight got up.
“How long was i unconscious?” he asked.
“Oh, almost 3 hours, answered Wulfric. Oh, and your sister challenged me during the time.”
“Did she won?” asked Sunlight.
“Yes!! She said. That was very close, but i beat him!!”
“Then, let’s do this!!” he said.
“We will support you, Sunlight, said Sunset. You better keep your clothes on this time!”
Later, Sunlight and Wulfric were in the arena. The hero was wearing his superhero costume.
“Go, Charizard!! He shouted. I chose you!!”
“Go, Abomasnow!! Let’s do this!!”
“Go, Sunlight!! Yelled Sunset. You can do this!!”
Sunlight and Wulfric both activated their Keystones. Their pokemons started to mega-evolve. Mega-Charizard X and Mega-Abomasnow revealed themselves in all their might and glory.
“Think you can handle the Iceberg?” asked Wulfric
“This is what we will see!! Answered Sunlight. Prepare to feel the burn!”
“Abomasnow!! Use Ice Punch!!” shouted Wulfric
“Charizard!! Use Dragon Claws!!”
The two Pokemon’s attacks clashed. Causing a big wave of energy that broke the ice on the ground and hit Sunset and her friends. The two pokemons got knocked back and started clashing again and again.
“Charizard!! Said Sunlight. Use Flamethrower!!”
“Abomasnow!! Said Wulfric. Block with Ice Beam!!”
The two attacks collided and created an explosion. Abomasnow use Ice Punch again, while Charizard countered with Dragon Claws. Sunlight’s temperature suddenly started to rise, creating fog around him. A fire aura began to emanate from his body, and Charizard was also emanating the same one. To finish, Sunlight’s hairs turned into living flames, similar to those of Charizard’s tail.
“What the?!” said Wulfric, surprised.
“Is that me or his head is in fire?” asked Clemont.
“No, you don’t imagine things, said Sunset. His hairs are literally in fire!!”
“Can it be? Said Wulfric. I already saw this by the past...”
Clemont and Bonnie also had the same thoughts.
“It’s like if Charizard and Sunlight were in perfect synchronization!! Like...” said Clemont.
“...With Ash and his Greninja!! Said Bonnie. No, that’s different!!”
“Charizard is a Fire type Pokemon, right?” asked Sunset.
“Yes! Answered Clemont. Why asking?”
“Sunlight’s prime element is the fire, she said. He is bounded with it. Same for Fire types Pokemons!! I think the aura of Mega-Charizard have combined with Sunlight’s magic fire aura.”
Sunlight got on the back of Charizard and this one flew in the airs.
“Alright!! He said. Charizard, use Flamethrower!!!”
The Pokemon spitted a very powerful blast of flames at Mega-Abomasnow.
“Use Blizzard!! Said the Gym Leader!!”
Blizzard collided with Flamethrower, but the clash of the two moves didn’t lasted long. The flame blast engulfed the ice attack and Mega-Abomasnow. This one survived the attack, but then, he saw Charizard flying in his direction, covered in flames.
“Use Flare Blitz!!” said the hero.
The Pokemon hit Abomasnow with all his power, sending the pokemon crashing against the walls of the Arena. Abomasnow returned to his normal form and fainted. Charizard returned to normal shortly after, and Sunlight’s hair too.
“Abomasnow is unable to continue the battle, saif the referee. The victory goes to our challenger!!”
Sunlight hugged his pokemon of joy and was joined by his friends shortly after.
“You did it!! Said Sunset. You did it!! We both have our 8 badges now!!”
Wulfric gave him the Iceberg Badge.
“That was a battle i won’t forget!! He said. Were did that energy came from?”
“I don’t know, said Sunlight. The fight was pumping me up and i felt the adrenaline rushed through my body. That battle ignited my fighting spirit...Literally.”
“Talk about being in fire, said the Gym Leader. Well, you know what that mean for you two, right? The next thing that await you is the Pokemon League”
“That’s true, said Sunset. But it only begin in a couple of weeks. That should let me time to complete my team.”
“And this is the moment to told you that i leave the team” said Sunlight.
“What? Asked Sunset. Why?!”
“You know why, he answered. We have to prepare for the League, and this is something you and me need to do individually. Next time we will met will be at the Tournament.”
“Yeah, i knew that moment would come, she said. Promise me you will take care of yourself and not doing anything stupid.”
“I promise, he said. Clemont, Bonnie, take care of her...”
“Yes, said Bonnie. We will stay with her until the end!”
Sunlight hugged Sunset and kissed her on the forehead. Then left the town on the back of his Charizard.
”I’ll be waiting for you at the League!” said Sunset to herself.
The trio left the town.
“Where are we heading next, Sunset?” asked Clemont.
“I have no idea!! She said. I will let the fate decide of what will happen next!”
[A few hours later]
Sunlight was inside an airplane, in first class.
“The flight at Destination of Alola will soon begin, said an hostess via the intercom. Please put your belts and we hope you’ll enjoy the travel!!”
”Alola, wait for me” he said.

Chapter 8: A new friend for Sunset
Author's Note
As you know, Mewtwo doesn't speak with his mouth, like a human, but rather use telepathy. So, i wrote in italic everything he will say. I know italic is used when a character talk in his head. I believe it can also be used when a character talk by mind/telepathy to another one.
Chapter 8: A new friend for Sunset
Sunset was walking with her friends for almost 3 days. They had left the cold regions of Kalos and were in a more warm one.
“I can’t believe we didn’t saw any Psychic type pokemons in our way, said Sunset. Not a single one...”
“What are you looking for, exactly?” asked Clemont.
“I am looking for a Pokemon called Beldum, she answered. At his final Evolution, Metagross, he is a serious powerhouse and a very intelligent pokemon.”
“Hum, i heard that the Beldums can only be found in Hoeen, said Clemont. But that can just be rumors...”
“Oh, i know someone who could probably help get you a Beldum!!” said Bonnie
“You are talking of Steven, right? Said Clemont. Hum, He is the Pokemon Champion of Hoenn and have a passions for Beldums and Steel-Type Pokemons. But that will probably take a lot of time finding him, if we find him.”
“And even if she indeed get a Beldum, said Bonnie. She still have to get 2 more Pokemons for the League...”
At the Distance, a mysterious being was spying them, listening their conversation.
“Maybe this is time i give her a hand, thought the being. But for that, i need to get her two friends out of the way...”
The mysterious being used his powers to teleport Clemont and Bonnie outside the Pokemon Center, at the surprise of Sunset Shimmer.
“Where are we? What happened!!?” Asked Clemont, panicked.
“I think we are in a cave, answered Bonnie. Something must have teleported us here!!”
“Maybe Mew is the responsible, said Clemont. He can be very mischevious and playfull at times.”
“Hum, i don’t think it was him, said Bonnie. There is more than one Psychic pokemon that can teleport someone elsewhere.”
“Hum, whatever, we have to find a way out!” said Clemont.
Sunset was still at the Pokemon Center. She was about to reprimand Mew, but she is interupted.
”He didn’t do it, said a voice. And before you ask, i am speaking to you by telepathy”
“Who are you?” asked Sunset.
”I’ll show you” said the voice.
She was teleported in the middle of a mysterious sanctuary.
“Where did you bring me?” She asked out loud.
She saw a mysterious being appearing in front of her. The being removed his hood and revealed his appearence.
”You are in my sanctuary, he answered. I am Mewtwo, i am a Pokemon made by humans, an artificial Pokemon if you prefer. I was created from the cells of Mew, the Pokemon who follow you since you arrived in this world. Yes, i know you and your brother are not from this world.”
Mew left Sunset’s bag and float near Mewtwo.
“Created from Mew? Asked Sunset. Like a clone?”
“Yes, answered Mewtwo. I was created to be the Ultimate Psychic Pokemon, A fighting, dominating, killing machine at the service of a criminal organization called Team Rocket. But i refused to be their slave, so i destroyed the laboratory where i was «Born» and killed the scientists. I hated human from that day and swore to eradicate them from this world. But someone taught me that not all humans are bad, that the world need to be saved, not destroyed. So, i toned down my violent ways and vowed on protecting pokemons from the bad humans.”
“Kinda like me” she said.
”I know, said the Pokemon. I already saw it in your memories. Like me, you made a long way from the evil path. But this is not why i brought you here.”
“So, why?” asked Sunset.
”To be honest, i followed you since you arrived in this world, said Mewtwo. I also helped your brother many times during some of his Gym battles.”
“You...what?! She said. Why?!”
”I needed to learn more about you two, he answered. Not every human in this world possess a magic, or a special gift. Mew rarely show that much interest to a human, second reason for me to do so. And for what is helping your brother, i just did it by boredom...”
Mew stared at him.
”Okay, i did it because he remembered me of Ash Ketchum, he said. Long story. I heard you said that you were looking for Pyschic types pokemons to complete your team.”
“Yes, she answered. Do you want to join my team?”
“No, said the Pokemon. I will not lower myself to compete in any kind of Pokemon battle tournaments. But i could help you find 3 more Psychic type pokemons to fight for you.”
“Really? She asked. How?!”
”Like that” he answered.
He teleported Sunset and himself in the middle of the woods.
“Where are we?” she asked.
“In Unova, answered Mewtwo. In these wood reside a powerful and quite rare Pokemons that will be a nice addition to your team”
“What is the name of the Pokemon?” asked Sunset.
”All i can tell you is that this Pokemon is a great singer, said Mewtwo. Now, i’ll let you alone and will come back for you later”
Mewtwo disappeared. Sunset started exploring the forest and suddenly heard a beautiful chant coming from the North. She walked in it’s direction to find the source. She arrived a few minutes later in the middle of a green paradise.
“Wow, this place his beautiful, she said. The chant i heard come from here, i am sure!”
She proceeded to explore the meadows. She asked Gardevoir, Gallade and Alakazam to help her. Alakazam suddenly detected the presence of something not far away from their Positions. Gallade and Gardevoir’s horn started to glow and they also noticed the presence of someone. After a few more minutes of research, Alakazam finally found the source of the singing. It was a short sized pokemon, human-like, with a black dress. The Pokemon was trying to freed himself from Alakazam’s psychic prison.
“Release her” said Sunset.
Alakazam obeyed and released the Pokemon. Sunset came close to it and presented herself
“I am Sunset Shimmer, she said. I heard your beautiful voice and was curious to discover from who it came from. I want you no bad.”
She consulted her Pokedex and scanned the Pokemon.
“Meloetta, the Melody Pokemon, said the Pokedex. A Psychic/Normal type Mythical Pokemon. Meloetta’s voice is so pure that it can influence the emotions of the humans and other pokemons who hear it. She have inspired many of the most successful and famous songs in the world. Meloetta is a friendly Pokemon that love company, which can put her in dangerous situations”
Sunset Shimmer remove from her bag an electric guitar and began to play. She then started to sing with a beautiful voice that made Meloetta captivated, The Pokemon even sang with her after a few minutes. Alakazam, Gardevoir and Gallade were listening to their chant with joy and serenity. Sunset then stopped playing.
“You see, i am also a singer, like you, she said. What do you think about me and you becoming friends?”
“Melo...Etta!!” said the Pokemon.
Mewtwo appeared.
”She said that she would be honored to follow someone with such a passion for the music, he said. Am i right, Meloetta?”
The Pokemon agreed with Mewtwo. Sunset showed Meloetta a Super Ball. The Pokemon looked at it for a short moment, then at Sunset.
“Don’t worry, she said. I will release you when the moment will come for me to leave this world.”
Meloetta touched the Pokeball and let herself get caught. Sunset then took the Pokeball and sent her out.
“Now, who is next?” she asked.
”We will now find for a Beldum” answered Mewtwo.
The Pokemon teleported her and the others pokemons inside a cave. Mewtwo led them to a place with lot of Beldums, some Metangs and Two Metagross.
”Good luck, said Mewtwo, you will need it!!”
He disappeared. Sunset is spotted by one of the Metagross, who gave the alarm to the others. Soon, the two Metagross and all the Metang headed in her direction. Gallade, Gardevoir, Meloetta and Alakazam placed themselves in front of Sunset, ready to defend her at all cost. The Steel type Pokemons were getting closer when a white Metagross appeared in front of the group and stopped them.
“Phiew, guess i am here just in time!!” said a man.
The man was standing next to the white Metagross. He had Blue-Grey hairs and a fancy outfit.
“I present myself, he said. I am Steven Stone, Pokemon Champion of Hoenn and the son of the President of Devon Corp.”
“I am Sunset Shimmer, said the girl. Thank you for saving us.”
“What are you doing in this cave” asked the man.
“I am here because i want a Metagross in my team, she answered. I am preparing for Kalos’ Pokemon League and i need two more Psychic types pokemons to complete my team.”
“Hum, yes, he said. Metagross is a Steel and Psychic type Pokemon, very intelligent and sturdy.”
“Can you help me get one?” she asked to Steven.
“Hum, you seem to be a good trainer, he said. This is a pretty solid team you have here. And i see you have a Keystone. Do you know Metagross can Mega-Evolve?”
“I do, she answered. Hum, why is your Metagross not the same color as the other ones?”
“This is because he is Shiny, said the Pokemon Champion. And if these ones attacked you, this is because they are wild. You see the bigger Metagross, well, he is a male, while the smaller one is a female.”
“And i suppose the rest are their children, said Sunset. They just wanted to protect them...”
“If you want a Beldum, i can give you one, he said. But you’ll have to help me looking for a King’s Rock. This is to complete a collection.”
“Hum, you are a Rock Collector? Asked Sunset. If only Maud could meet you, she’ll love you. She is passionated of Rocks and even have one as a pet!”
“Really? I thought i was the only one, he said. Hum, i mean, i would love to meet her too!”
Sunset helped Steven to find the King’s Rock. After a few hours of research, Alakazam found it.
“Awesome, Alakazam!! Said Sunset. How did you knew it was a King’s Stone?”
“I think i know, answered Steven. Alakazam have a perfect memory, he must have saw a King’s Stone before. Well, like promised, i will give you a Beldum.”
Steven looked in his backpack and took out a Pokeball. He opened it and revealed a Beldum. Then, he presented him to Sunset, telling him that she will be her new owner. Steven gave the Pokeball to Sunset.
“Take good care of him, he said. Well, do you want me to lead you to the exit?” he asked.
“Hum, Sure!” she answered.
The two trainers got on Metagross and 10 minutes later, they were out of the cave. Steven said Goodbye to Sunset before leaving. Sunset, her, waited after Mewtwo to bring her back to the Sanctuary. Mewtwo teleported her in his Sanctuary.
“You only have one Pokemon to catch, he said. I may know which one would be the perfect addition to your team.”
“Who? She asked. You?”
”What? No!! I have this sanctuary to protect” he answered.
“But that didn’t prevented you following me and Sunlight for weeks across Kalos, right?” said Sunset.
Mewtwo didn’t answered. He knew she was right.
“Aren’t you excited at the idea of fighting powerful pokemons? She asked. From what i learned about you in the Pokedex, you live to fight and battle.”
Mewtwo stayed silent. She was once again right.
“I promise i will release you once the tournament is over, she said. You can trust me, Mewtwo. I never came back on one of my promises.”
”I know you will, said Mewtwo. But i was able to stay hidden from the world for many years. I am considered as a myth, a legend. People forgot about my existence, except for a few. If i decide to participe to this League, the world will know that i exist and will try to hurt me and the Pokemons under my protection.”
“I understand, said Sunset. I won’t force you to be in my team. The security of these Pokemons is more important than a stupid Pokemon Tournament”
”Hum, now that i think about it, said Mewtwo, I think i know who would be perfect for your team.”
Mewtwo teleported her to a parc situated in the middle of a forest.
”I made a lot of friends across the years, he explained. Oh, there they are!”
Two Pokemon, one blue and white and the other, red and white, landed near Sunset and Mewtwo.
”Sunset, i present you Latias and Latios, he said. Latias is the red and white one and Latios, the blue and white one. They are Psychic/Dragon type and can fly very fast. Perfect if you want to travel long distances in a short time.”
Latias cuddled against Mewtwo.
”I am happy to see you too, said the pokemon. And you too, Latios. My friend, here, need a strong pokemon in order to fight in a Pokemon League. This is very important for her.”
Sunset touched the head of Latias and petted her. Latias enjoyed this and cuddled against her in return. Sunset also petted Latios, who liked it.
“I recommend you Latios in your team, said Mewtwo. Of the two, he is the more experienced in what concern battles. He have fought many powerful pokemons and won. But if you took Latias, you will have a solid coverage against male pokemons and she is faster and more agile.”
“I will chose Latias, she said. And you are free to go with me, Latios. After all, something tell me that your help will be welcome.”
She told to Latias that she will need to catch her with a Pokeball in order to register her for the Tournament, and that she would free her afterward.
“I promise i will release you, she said. You can trust me, Latias. And you too, Latios.”
“You can trust her, said Mewtwo. If i can, you can too”
Latios and Latias both accepted to follow Sunset. She caught Latias in a Pokeball, then, sent her out right after.
“Join me at this position in 3 weeks!” said Sunset, before her and Mewtwo disappeared.

Chapter 9: The Day of the Tournament

Chapter 10: All the way to the finale
Two days had passed since Sunset won her first battle. Sunlight and Sunset won all of their matches all the way to the finale, crushing litteraly the competition. Sunlight had revealed a new pokemon in his team in the Semi-finals, Salazzle, who had swipped his opponent team. Sunset, her, had revealed her Metagross and made him Mega-Evolve. Now, the two siblings were preparing themselves for the last battle of this tournament, a battle who would determine which of them is the best. Sunlight was looking at his Z-Bracelet and Keystone, then his team.
“Until now, you had it easy, he said to them. But the next battle will not be easy, i want you to throw all of your forces in this battle. Charizard, Incineroar, Salazzle, Houndoom, Ninetails and Blacephalon, i believe in you. This battle will be the hardest you faced, but i know we can win. Heroes never lose”
On her side, Sunset Shimmer was also talking to her team.
“Listen, everybody, she said. Our next opponent is my brother, he is very powerful and talented. The biggest threats in his team are his Houndoom, his Charizard and Incineroar, i want you to give everything against them. Gardevoir, Gallade, Alakazam, Metagross, Meloetta and Latias, you can do this. The victory will be ours!!”
“This is time, ladies and gents, said the presentator. The moment you all waited for, The finale!! Our two finalists are invited to rejoin the arena!”
Sunlight and Sunset each walked in the hallway leading to the arena.
“On the left side, said the presentator. We have our first finalist. She cutted through the competition with ease with a full Psychic team. More incredible, she only showed 4 of her 6 Pokemons. Who know who are her 2 last ones? We will maybe discover it in this battle!! There she is!! In all her beauty and grace, Sunset Shimmer!!”
Sunset left the hallway and walked to the battlefield, were people were cheering her name. She waved her arms to them.
“On the right side, we have our second finalist!! Said the presentator. Like a raging inferno, he burned down the competion with the sheer power of his Fire type Pokemons!! He is the public favorite...Make a wave for Sunlight Blaze!!”
Pillars of flames suddenly came out of the ground followed by fireworks. Sunlight showed through the exit of the hall, flying above the ground with his rocket boots and doing aerial stunts. He then landed on the ground, superhero style. Sunset was voiceless and the crowd cheered him with energy.
“Wow, talk about a spectacular entrance!! Said the presentator. Now, let’s hear a word from Lady Dianthea!!”
Dianthea got up and the cameras pointed at her.
“I want to say to you two congratulation for arriving to the finales, she said. You clearly pulverized the competition and i have the feeling that this battle will be awesome!! Do your best and impress us!! I declare the finale started!!”
She returned on her seat. Sunlight and Sunset looked at each other with a smile.
“I hope you are ready to get your ass kicked, said Sunset. Because i have no intention to lose!!”
“Prepare to feel the burn, Sunset, said Sunlight. Because you won’t survive the heat wave that is coming for you!!”
“I can take it! She said. I am going to cool you down!”
“I have the feeling this battle gonna be great, he said. I never felt so pumped up. I am in fire, right now!!”
“Let’s get this battle started, then!” she said.
Sunset sent her first pokemon, Alakazam. Sunlight smiled at her and sent a Pokemon she never saw before.
“What is this Pokemon?! Asked the Presentator. I never saw it before!!”
“His name is Blacephalon, he answered. He is from a species of Pokemons called the Ultra-Beasts!”
“Ultra-Beast?! Asked the Presentator. So they really exist?! And you captured one?! It is incredible!”
“It was not that hard, answered Sunlight. I found him badly injured near an abandoned place. I took him with me and healed him with the help of friends. He was grateful for that and wanted to follow me.”
“Hum, you really didn’t waste your time, Brother, said Sunset. I was expecting you to have an ace like that in your sleeve.”
Blacephalon started to wander around, juggling with his head, making the crowd laugh of joy.
“What is he doing? Said Sunset to herself. Whatever, Alakazam!! Use Shadow Ball!!”
Alakazam threw the attack at Blacephalon, who avoided it gracefully. He then came next to Alakazam in an instant and juggled with small shadow balls around the Pokemon. Alakazam enjoyed it and Sunlight used that moment to strike.
“Blacephalon, use Mind Blown!!”
Blacephalon remove his head off his body and threw it at Alakazam, who didn’t have the time to react to it. The head explode and sent Alakazam away, close from a water pound. Sunset was shocked by this sudden attack from Sunlight and his Pokemon.
“Did you see that, Big brother? Asked Bonnie, that Pokemon just took his head off and make it explode!!”
“Hum, If i judge by the datas the Aether foundation have of this Pokemon, said Clemont. Blacephalon have the ability to make his head explode at will, As it will always grew a new one each time.”
“So, he basically use his head as a bomb, said Bonnie. Awesome!!!”
Alakazam tried to get up but Blacephalon achieved him with a Shadow Ball.
“Alakazam fainted!! Said the referee. He is not able to battle anymore!!”
“Amazing!! Said the presentator. That attack was unexpected. Blacephalon threw his head at Alakazam and made it explode!! This Pokemon is one hell of a trickster!!”
Blacephalon’s head had been replaced by a new one and he was dancing around Sunlight.
“What kind of Pokemon would use his head as a bomb!?! Asked Sunset. I was honestly not expecting this!”
“Honestly, me neither, said Sunlight. When i learned he was a Fire type, i immediately took him in my team. And why i learned what this pokemob could do, i knew i had to use him agaisnt your team!”
“That won’t work twice, said Sunset. It is your turn to shine!! I chose you, Meloetta!!”
Meloetta appeared on the terrain and was intimidated by all the people cheering.
“Don’t be afraid, Meloetta, said Sunset. Show them your magnificient voice!!”
Meloetta started to sing on a catchy beat. The public immediately started to cheer Meloetta and that pissed Blacephalon off. He charged a Shadow Ball at meloetta, but she avoided it gracefully.
“Meloetta, use Megaphone!!” said Sunset.
Meloetta screamed and created a soundwave that stroke Blacephalon. But the Ultra-Beast didn’t seem to be affected by the attack.
“Did i forgot to mention Blacephalon have also the Ghost type? Said Sunlight. Normal and Fighting type moves won’t affect him a lot”
”So, he is a Ghost type too? Thought Sunset. Well, that explain is tricky nature and why he can blow his head without any problem. Only Ghost types can do crazy shit like that.”
“Time to end this joke, said Sunlight. Blacephalon, use Dark Pulse!!”
Blacephalon threw at Meloetta a concentrated beam of dark energy that she dodged. But Blacephalon kept on using the same attack until Meloetta decided to counter with a Relic Song, which changed her aspect and her type to resist Dark Pulse.
“Well played, said Sunlight. But it won’t save you!! Blacephalon, use Psyschock!!”
Meloetta was stroke by the Psychic attack and was about to faint
“Don’t give up! Said Meloetta. Use Payback!!”
Meloetta surrounded herself of a dark aura and charged at Blacaphalon with rage. Blacephalon got hit directly and was sent away, to crash against a tree. He fainted, followed by Meloetta a few moments later.
“Double K.O!!” said the referee.
“That was incredible, said the presentator. When we thought Meloetta was done for it, she managed to pull out a last move that brought down Blacaphalon with her!!”
Sunlight and Sunset called back their Pokemons.
“Go, Ninetales, said Sunlight. I chose you!!”
“Alright!! Go, Gardevoir!! Said Sunset. Wait, is this me or this Ninetales look...Different?”
“Indeed, answered Sunlight. I present you the Alola’s regional variant of Ninetales.”
“It is beautiful, said Sunset. Another fire type?”
“Nope, said Sunlight. Alolan Ninetales is a Ice/Fairy type pokemon.”
“Hum, i thought you only wanted Fire types in your team, said Sunset. Why would you catch a Ice type Pokemon?”
“When i was in Alola, i accidentaly pissed off a Pokemon that sent me in the coldest place of Alola. My pokemon team was at the Pokemon Center, recovering from an hard battle. Then, as i was about to immeditely teleport back to the Pokemon Center, i saw this Ninetales having an hard time against a pack of Alolan Sandshrew. I ran to protect her and used fire magic tricks to discourage the Sandshrews. After a moment, they ran away and left the Alolan Ninetales alone. Ninetales was severely injured and i brought her back with me at the Pokemon Center, where she recovered quickly. After she was healed, i returned to where i found her and told her she was free to go. But she refused and insisted on joining my team. So, i accepted to take her with me.”
“This is a very kind act of heroism, said the Presentator. Sunlight Blaze is really the definition of a hero, like he proclaimed to be!!”
“I am not surprised at all, said Sunset. You would do anything to help someone in distress. I guess heroism run in the family...”
“What kind of hero would i be if i didn’t risked my life for those who are in danger? He asked. You and your friends taught me those values that make heroes, heroes.”
Suddenly, the Presentator stopped talking, and the crowd became silent. Even the referee was silent and immobile.
“What is happening? Asked Sunset. Why it is so quiet suddenly?”
Sunlight looked at the face of the referee and saw his eyes pupils had disappeared and were glowing white.
“Oh no, i think they are mind-controlled, answered Sunlight. And it is not only the referee, but everyone in the stadium. But why you and me are not affected? This is strange”
“I know why, thought Sunset. Mewtwo must be using his psychic abilities to protect us from being mind-controlled.”
Suddenly, the public, the referee and everyone else looked at Sunlight and started walking in his direction.
“Oh oh, said Sunlight. We need to get out of there!!”
Sunlight and Sunset teleported outside the stadium and reappeared in a small alley.
“Do you know why everyone is being mind controlled?” asked Sunset.
They suddenly see on a television screen the face of a man. Sunlight recognized Lysandre immediately.
”Dang it, thought Sunlight. I was so focused on preparing for the Pokemon League that i completely forgot to investigate on Lysandre. At least, i know what was his plan. That must explain why i am not affected by his mind-control. He probably want to deal with me directly. But why is Sunset not affected? Stupid question, she must be protected by Mew from the mind-control. For now, we need to find Lysandre and foil his plan.”
Mewtwo suddenly appeared behind Sunset and Sunlight.
”Me and Mew are using our psychic powers to protect you from Lysandre mind control device” he said
“That voice, said Sunlight. I recognize it!! You are the voice who helped me during my battle against Ramos and gave me an Houndoomite!!”
“Yes, my name is Mewtwo, answered the Pokemon. I followed you and your sister for many weeks.”
“Wait a minute, did you said Mind-control device?” asked Sunlight.
”Yes, said Mewtwo. I discovered Lysandre’s evil plans while you two were battling in the Pokemon League. He is using an hijacked satellite and all of Kalos telecommunication devices, like towers, antennas and technological devices.”
“So, all we have to do is to destroy the satellite?” asked Sunlight.
”No, just destroy the source of the problem: Lysandre” answered Mewtwo.
“Who is that Lysandre you are talking about?! Asked Sunset. And how do you know who he is?”
”Tell her the truth” said Mewtwo.
“Where do i begin?” asked Sunset to himself.

Chapter 11: The Plan of Lysandre
Sunlight told to Sunset everything he knew about Lysandre and the team Flare.
“Why didn’t you told me?! Asked Sunset. I had the right to know!!”
“This was a secret mission the police gave me, said Sunlight. They wanted me to investigate on Lysandre’s plan...I didn’t told you because...I wanted you to focus on getting stronger.”
“We will continue this discussion later, said Sunset. For now, we need to stop Lysandre once and for all. Mewtwo, do you know where he is?”
“No, for some reasons, i can’t read his mind or detect his aura.” he answered.
Sunlight looked at the Prismatic Tower, the jewel of Lumiose city.
“I know where he is, said Sunlight. He must be at the top of the Prismatic Tower. This is the highest peak of the city and the perfect place to emit the mind-controlling waves the most efficiently possible.”
”Hum, congrats, said Mewtwo. To be honest, i knew he was at the top of the tower, i just wanted to see if you could deduce it without my help.”
“Right...Said Sunlight. Anyway... I can’t access to the tower with teleportation. I think Lysandre must have installed a device that block my teleportation spell. And you Mewtwo, can you access inside by teleportation?”
”I can’t , said Mewtwo. We will have to make our way to the top the good ol’ way.”
“So, how did you get inside the Team Flare’s lair? Asked Sunlight. I know Lysandre protected it with an anti-teleportation device.”
”I took possession of the body of one of the team Flare admins, said Mewtwo. I was able to see through his eyes and hear through his ears. That way, i was able to learn everything about Lysandre’s plan.”
“Uh, guys?! Asked Sunset. We need to move and fast!!”
A zombified crowd had spotted them. The group ran outside the alley and rushed to the entrance of the tower. But they were blocked by tons of trainers ready to fight. Sunset had an idea and sent out Meloetta.
“Meloetta, use Sing!!” she said.
Meloetta started Singing. Sunset, Sunlight and Mewtwo covered their ears to avoid being put asleep. After a few minutes, all the trainers and their pokemons were asleep.
“Let’s go, said Sunset. The way his clear!!”
The trio entered the building and were face to face with team Flare’s grunts. Meloetta started singing again, but it had no effect on them.
“Damn it, said Sunset. They probably have devices protecting them from sound based attacks. Come back, Meloetta.”
”Let me deal with them” said Mewtwo.
He used his powers to send all the grunts on the floor against the walls and used metal cables to immobilize them.
”Next floor” he said.
The group arrived to the second floor and were welcomed with mind-controlled Pokemons. Pokemons such as Pyroars, Houndooms, Tyranitars, Toxicroak, Charizards and Leviathors. Sunlight and Sunset sent all of their Pokemon out and attacked the enemies. The battle was hard but with the combined efforts of Mewtwo, Blacephalon, Latias, Meloetta, Mega-Charizard and Mega Metagross they were able to make quick work of the Pokemons. Suddenly, a screen showed the face of Lysandre.
“Look who finally showed up, said the Leader of the Team Flare. The so called hero and his friend!! Hum, and i knew you would also show up, Mewtwo. What do you think of my mind-control super device?”
”Very Impressive, but far for surpassing me” he answered.
“When i will be done with these two, i will capture you and use you as my pet, said Lysandre. I am waiting you at the top.”
Mewtwo destroyed the screens with Pyschic.
“This man is worse than Giovanni, he said. I will be the pet of no one, even less the pet of a despotic pyscho obsessed by world domination.”
Sunlight and the group made their way throught the floors all the way to the top. Sunlight had lost almost all his Pokemons, except for Charizard and Salazzle. Sunset still had Gallade, Mew and Meloetta available. They finally reached the exit of the last floor and arrived outside, at the top of the tower.
“Congrats, said Lysandre. I was not expecting less of you 3. But your adventures end now!!”
Lysandre sent out Gyariados, Aggron, Tyranitar, Pidgeot, Camerupt and Steelix. He then used a device on his chest who react to those installed on his Pokemons and forced them to Mega-Evolve. The 6 pokemons groaned of pain and Mega-Evolved. They had purple glowing eyes and were wild.
“How is this possible?” asked Sunlight.
“You can discover a lot of things in a few years, answered Lysandre. The technique i used on my pokemons is called the Mega-Wave. I told you that i survived Zygarde’s attack a few years ago and someone found me and saved my life. Well, that someone was another madman who shared my ideas of dominations. His name is Alva.”
Clemont suddenly appeared on the top of the building. Lysandre was surprised.
“Alva? He asked. You mean the man who tried to take the Azoth Kingdom by using Magearna?”
“Indeed, Clemont, said Alva, appearing behind a corner of the tower. I didn’t forgot what you and your friends did to me. I survived the fall from my flying Castle but was captured by the Azoth Kingdom authorities. But they couldn’t keep me locked forever and i escaped. A few months later, while i was wandering in the region, Lysandre put his plan to execution and i assisted from distance to the battle between him and the defensors of Kalos. After you and your friends defeated him, i searched for his body and found it kilometers away from Kalos. I brought him back to my secret lab in the Azoth Kingdom and upgraded him with cybernetical enhancements.”
“Alva and me had a discussion and we discovered that we had a lot in common, said Lysandre. With our two genius combined, we were able to reconstruct the team Flare and we hatched this plan. Controlling the region in the shadows by using a mind control device.”
“As an expert of technology, said Alva. When Lysandre introduced me to telecommunication devices such as televisions, antennas and satellites, it was not long before i was able to discover all of their secrets. I was then able to hijack Kalos’ broadcasting satellite. As for the mind-control device, me and Lysandre passed years to develop it.”
“But enough explanation, said Lysandre. Time to deal with you once and for all...Attack, my dears!!”
Lysandre and Alva disappeared using an Helicopter.
”They are going to escape!!” said Mewtwo.
He used his psychic powers to immobilize the helicopter mid air.
“By the way, how did you avoided being mind-controlled, Clemont?” asked Sunset.
“By using a failsafe” answered Clemont.
He showed a little electronic device behind his ears. He then gave one to Sunset and Sunlight. Mewtwo stopped using his psychic abilities, who protected the two siblings until now. Now, he could focus plenly on the enemy. He Mega-evolved by himself and with all the psychic power he had, broke the mind control spell on the 6 mega-Pokemons, who returned to normal and fainted. Alva smiled and pushed a little button on his bracelet. Suddenly, a green gas covered the top of the building and intoxicated the group. Sunset and Clemont, and their pokemons fell asleep, followed by Sunlight’s Pokemons, then Mewtwo. Sunlight tried to fight the gas, but he also succombed to it. Lysandre and Alva waited for the gas to dissipate and landed.
“What do we do with them?” asked Alva.
Lysandre pointed at Mewtwo, Clemont and Sunset.
“I need Mewtwo for the next step of my plan, he said. Bring also Clemont, his genius could be useful. As for Sunlight, he have magical abilities that could be helpful for us.”
“What about the girl?” asked Alva.
“I don’t have any use for her, said Lysandre. Just take her pokemons and her Keystone. My mind-controlled pawns will take care of her”
Alva brought the bodies of Sunlight, Mewtwo and Clemont inside the Helicopter, with their Pokemons and those of Sunset. Then, the duo of villains left the town. 5 minutes Later, Mew appeared and found Sunset unsconscious. He brought her in his sanctuary and waited until she woke up.
“What happened? Asked Sunset. Where are everyone else? Where are my pokemons?!”
Mew appeared next to her.
“Mew!! She said. You saved me? Thank you...Do you know what happened to the others?”
Mew made a negative head sign.
“Lysandre and Alva probably captured them, she said. If i is able to take possession of Mewtwo and Sunlight’s bodies, They will be unstoppable. But what can i do? Without Sunlight and my Pokemons, i am powerless”
Mew slapped her behind the head
“Ouch, why did you do that?! She asked. Right, i can’t give up. I have to save the day, my brother need me!! But alone, i won’t be able to go far. Do you know who could help us?”
Mew took a moment to think about it. After a few minutes, he disappeared with Sunset. He reappeared in the middle of a beautiful sanctuary. But they are immediataly attacked by a stream of fire and water that Mew blocked with Protect.
“Thank you Mew, but who did that?” she asked.
She saw a big pokemon, red with two arms on his back forming a big tube and with four legs.
”You are not welcome here, human!! Said the Pokemon, by telepathy. No human are allowed in my sanctuary!!”
Mew put himself in front of Sunset and talk to the Pokemon, explaining the situation.
”Hum, said the pokemon. Alva is back, and he captured your friends and those of this human? And pokemons too? He teamed up with Lysandre, the man that almost destroyed Kalos a few years ago.”
“Lysandre and Alva created a mind-controlling machine that already affected all the humans in Kalos, said Sunset. But i believe they will use the powers of Mewtwo to make the device affect Pokemons. If we don’t stop them, you and the Pokemon you protect will be the slave of two madmans. Do you really want to be the puppet of such horrible beings?”
“Hum, No, said the Pokemon. If what you said is true, then Alva and Lysandre must be stopped. I will help you, to protect Magearna and all the pokemons in this sanctuary.”
Magearna appear beside the Pokemon. She talk to him.
”You want to help them too? He asked. Are you sure?”
Magearna made an affirmative head sign. Sunset looked at her Pokedex to learn the name of the Pokemon. The Pokemon in front of her was named Volcanion.
“We will need more allies, said Sunset. Mew, do you know other Pokemons that could help us?”
Mew talked to her.
“He said that there is a lot of Pokemon in this region that are eiger to help us” said Volcanion.
Mew teleported Volcanion, Sunset and Magearna in the middle of a cave, full of Pink crystals and diamonds.
“Were are we?” asked Sunset.
They heard a voice in their head. A cute, feminine voice.
”I was not expecting visitors today!! Said the voice. Can i know what you are doing in my room?!”
“Your...Room?” asked Sunset.
A Beautiful Pokemon, made of Pink Diamonds and rocks, showed up. The Pokemon’s body was a big diamond, shaped like a dress while her face was dark grey with red shiny gem-looking eyes. She had a big pink diamond on her forehead, forming a tiara.
”I am Diancie, Princess of the Jewel Kingdom.” said the Pokemon
“A princess? Asked Sunset. Really? You are so cute!!”
”Thank you!” she answered.
Diancie saw behind Sunset 3 pokemons.
“Oh, right, said Sunset. The 3 pokemons with me are Mew, Volcanion and Magearna. If i judge by the Pokedex description, they are Mythical pokemons, like you.”
Mew explained to Diancie that Kalos was in danger and that her and her Kingdom was at big risk too.
”That’s horrible, said Diancie. I won’t let those 2 mean monsters mind-controlling my subjects or myself...I am with you!!”
”Are you sure, Miss Diancie? Asked a Carbink with a beard to her. In that case, i will prepare our troops!!”
”Who is next?” asked Volcanion.
Mew teleported Sunset and himself in the middle of a forest. She saw two little green creatures on a rock, taking a bath of sunlight. Mew flew to them and woke them up. The two little creatures woke up and looked at Mew. One had a blue spot on his belly and the other, a red one, both shaped like gems. Mew presented himself and Sunset and explained the situation that was menacing Kalos. Sunset added that Bonnie had already been victim of the mind-control device.
”Say no more, said the blue and green little creature. Me and my twin will help you to stop Lysandre and Alva, this time, definitively...For Bonnie!!”
“Cool!! Said Sunset. Should we seek for more allies?”
Mew told her that this was all the allies that were available. He teleported Sunset and the 2 proto-Zygarde in the cave were Diancie, Volcanion, Magearna and an army of Carbinks were waiting.
“We need a plan, said Sunset. Give me your ideas.”

Chapter 12: The Battle for Kalos
Sunset and her allies were at the entrance of the town, and were about to head in direction of the lair of Alva and Lysandre ,that Mew had located. Mew realized that feat due to a special bound with Mewtwo, who was sharing some of it’s DNA. The lair was built under the Prismatic tower and also connected to it.
“Good, said Sunset. Once we get there we will need to find a way to enter in the lair. We have to expect the entrance of the tower to be guarded by an army of Pokemons and their trainers. Get rid of the trainers and their Pokemons will stop the battle. Can i count on you Volcanion and you, Diancie?
“Sure, answered Volcanion. Count on me...”
”We will hold them as long as we can!” answered Diancie.
Suddenly, a magic ring appeared out of nowhere and a Pokemon passed through.
“Hum, do you need a shortcut? Asked the Pokemon. My name is Hoopa, i am a pokemon and my rings can open rifts to any dimension and place known in the universe.”
“How did you find us, Hoopa?” asked Sunset.
“Well, i just felt a great concentration of Mythical Pokemons, said the Pokemon. Me and my two human friends were eating donuts at a restaurant when they started acting like zombies. They tried to hurt me and i ran away...Can someone explain me what happened to them?”
Sunset explained the situation to Hoopa.
“Let me call some reinforcements” said Hoopa.
Hoopa used his 3 rings to summon 3 Pokemons. Latios, Zoruara and Darkrai.
“This is the maximum i can do, said the Pokemon. Oh, do you want me to bring all of you inside their lair?”
“We can’t access in the lair by teleportation” said Sunset.
“But what about portals? Asked Hoopa. Let me try!!”
Hoopa opened a rift with his ring to the Team Flare’s lair. He tried to pass through, but wasn’t able to do it.
“Well, then, let’s just make our way in on foot, said Sunset. Are you ready to save Kalos?”
The Pokemon all said a loud yes and started walking in the city. Soon, they were welcomed by a lot of pokemons and humans that blocked their way. Volcanion used Hydro Pump on the first wave if enemies. Zoruara and Latios, fast as the lighting, were blasting the pokemons and the trainers with non lethal, but powerful, attacks and moves. Darkrai put some of them asleep while Diancie and her army were throwing diamonds and rocks. Hoopa used his rings to block incoming attacks and send them back to their opponents.
“Let’s go” said Sunset to Mew and the two Zygardes cores.
The group headed to the tower. Meanwhile, in the team Flare’s lair, Alva and Lysandre were programming the pod for Mewtwo when they were interrupted by an alarm.
“We have intruders in the city, said Lysandre. Alva, give me a view of the intruders!”
“It seem to be a group of Pokemon!! He said. Not any pokemons, they are all Mythicals!!”
“What? Asked Lysandre. Let me see!!”
Lysandre saw Volcanion, Diancie, Zoruara, Hoopa, Latios, Darkrai and Magearna breaking through their defenses.
“I knew we should have brought the girl with us” said Alva.
“No, she is not the one who reunited them, answered Lysandre. But whatever, send, Alain, the Elite 4 and Dianthea stop them.”
“Yes, But we need to hurry, said the scientist. Sunlight, you and your pokemons, block the entrance and let no one get in!”
“Yes, master Alva” he answered.
Sunlight headed at the entrance of the lair.
“Bring me Mewtwo immediately!” ordered Alva to his men.
Sunset was arrived with her friends at the entrance of the tower. Mew found the secret door and opened it.
“Let’s get inside!” said Sunset.
But as the entered, they are knocked back by wall of flames.
“You won’t get further, said Sunlight, hypnotized. Nobody will stop the plan of Master Lysandre and Master Alva. Houndoom, use Inferno!!”
Mew blocked the attack with Protect and countered with a Water Gun.
“Incineroar, use Darkest Lariat.” said Sunlight.
Incineroar ran in direction of Mew and tried to grab him with his claws. Mew used Hurricane to stop the pokemon and swirled Sunlight away. Mew then used Hypnosis, Sing and Sleep Powder to neutralize all of Sunlight’s Pokemons. But instead of being worried, he smiled and returned in the lair. Sunset followed him and after 2 minutes, Sunlight entered in another room. Sunset entered in it and the doors behind her shutted off.
“What?!” she said.
“I can’t believe you felt into this trap, Sunset, said Sunlight. She can’t escape, Master Lysandre and Master Alva.”
“Good work” said Lysandre.
Mew put himself in front of Sunset to protect her. He used Psychic to lift the two men and Sunlight off the ground. Alva pushed a button and Sunlight and Mewtwo screamed of pain.
“If you hurt us, Mew, your friends will suffer, said Lysandre. Now, release us!!”
Mew obeyed and released the two men.
“With your psychic power, said Alva, we will be able to not only control all the humans and Pokemons in Kalos, but all the Pokemons and humans in the world!! Even Legendaries!”
“Our dream of a perfect world, where there will be no war, no crime, will finally become reality!!” said Lysandre.
“A world where no one will look down on us, said Alva. A world free of corruption, a world were everything will be under controle, Our control.”
“We won’t let you do that, said Sunset. I know that the world is not perfect. Nothing is perfect. You want to get rid of all crimes, all the violence and this is a noble goal. But mind-controlling the humans and pokemon that cause them is not good. It is not the solution.”
“Radical problems need radical solutions” said Lysandre.
“And you think that enslaving the population is going to be a long lasting solution?” said Sunset.
“What do you mean?” asked Lysandre.
“How can i explain in a few sentences? Said Sunset. Mind-control equal removing free will. Removing free will from a being equal being forced to take all the decisions to his place. Decisions such as eating, sleeping, working, walking, talking to each other...That you will have to take not only for one being, but for billions of them. The society will destroy itself even faster if they can’t even do basic thing on their own. Is this the perfect society you want to live in? Please Lysandre, Alva, you have to stop!!”
”She is right, said Mewtwo. Your plan will just cause more trouble. I also hate humanity for creating me, for what they do to the nature and to each other. I tried to change their ways, using mind-control, violence and fear, then realized it was not effective.”
“A single human can’t change the world, nor can a Pokemon, said Sunset. Even Arceus, the creator of the universe, can’t force a society to change his way. If you want to change the society, Lysandre, you will have to work hard. You can be a phare for them, guide them to the light. Not everyone will follow you, of course, a society need both good and evil to exist”
“Don’t listen to them, said Alva. She is playing with your mind.”
“No, she is right, said Lysandre. To change, a society need to learn from it’s mistakes. Evil can’t exist without good and Good can’t exist without evil.”
Alva pushed a button and Lysandre started groaning of pain.
“I...why can’t i move, asked Lysandre. What have you done to me, Alva?”
“Oh, i just shutted down your system, answered the man. I was planning to do that later, but why delay the inevitable? I was using you all this time, my dear Lysandre. You were just a pawn in my game. Why using this device on humans when you can use it on Legendary Pokemons? WIth their power, this world will be reduced to ashes. I want to see this society burn, in front of my eyes. And who can do it better than Legendary pokemon?”
“You are mad” Said Lysandre.
“Oh, and that come from the man who tried to destroy the world almost 5 years ago? Asked Alva. Please...I will do today what you were never able to accomplish.”
Alva used mechanic arms to capture Mew and trap him inside a pod with Mewtwo. He then started the machine
“You lost, said Alva, if you destroy the pod, you will kill Mew and Mewtwo. Now, time to deal with you!!!”
But as he was about to do so, He is stroke by a blast of flames.
“Sunlight?! Asked Alva. Why did you attacked me!?”
For answer, Sunlight punched Alva in the face and knocked him in the ground.
“I was just pretending, you sick bastard!!” he answered.
“So, why didn’t you stopped him before he activated the machine?!” asked Sunset.
“Because i am not the one who should save the day, he answered. Lysandre, you built this machine, you probably know how to destroy it...”
“Yes, i do, he said. I installed a failsafe in case Alva would betray me and use the device for his own use.”
“Where it is?” asked Sunset.
“Me, he answered. I am the failsafe. If i die, everything will stop.”
“Why would you do that?!” asked Alva.
Sunlight had binded the madman and pushed a button on his control bracelet that freed Lysandre from Alva’s control.
“Because i am the only one in control of my decisions... He said to Alva. If i die, my dream will die with me...”
He looked at everyone in the room then said:
“Computer, activate End of day protocol”
“End of Day protocol activated” said the machine.
“If i was you, i would get out of there, said Lysandre. Before this place explode and destroy all of my work. Don’t worry for the tower. The explosion will only cause minor damages to it.”
Sunset walked in his direction and looked at him with sadness.
“This is the best way for me to go, said Lysandre. I am sorry for what i did to you, to your friends and to Kalos.”
“It’s okay, i forgive you” said Sunset.
Mew and Mewtwo teleported everyone except Alva and Lysandre, outside the lair before it explode. Lysandre walked in direction of Alva and broke his neck with is right arm, killing him. He then sat on the floor and closed his eyes. He smiled a last time before he explode with the lair. Everywhere in Kalos, people were freed from the mind-control. In Lumiose city, Dianthea ordered everyone to stop fighting Volcanion and his friends after she was freed. Volcanion, Magearna and the rest of the group, with the help of Hoopa’s rings, returned to their homes. Then Hoopa said goodbye to Sunset before leaving too. Mewtwo returned to his domain before people saw him. Clemont had retrieved Bonnie and the two were hugging each other with emotion. Sunset and Sunlight were looking at each other with a smile.
“I am proud of you, Sunset, he said. No one could have saved the day except you...”
She blushed. Dianthea arrived in front of them, confused by the events.
“Hum, do you know what just happened?” she asked.
Sunset and Sunlight looked at each other with a smile...They explained everything to the medias and then said their goodbyes to Clemont and Bonnie. Then, the next day, they released their pokemons, with emotion and difficulty. After that, The time for Sunset and Mew to say goodbye finally came
“Goodbye, Mew, said Sunset to him, crying. I will miss you!!”
Mew swiped her tears, kissed her on the forehead and smiled to her. Then, he finally left for good. They saw a portal open in front of them and the head of Discord passing through.
“So, did you loved your adventure? He asked. Yes, i am the one who sent you there.”
“That was awesome, said Sunlight. But i would have preffered you to prevent us first...”
“How much time passed in our world?” asked Sunset.
“One week, answered Discord. I told your friends that you were on a trip between siblings and they bought it. Now, let’s return home”
Sunlight passed through the mirror first, followed by Sunset, who was still sad.
“I will make sure you can visit him from times to times, said Discord. Let’s say...Once in a month...”
“That would be nice” she said.
She finally passed through the portal.
