A young mare tries to discover the secrets of the Everfree forest and its plant life despite everyponies warnings she is determined to fulfill her task as one of Princess Luna's royal scientist researchers. She is confident but still ignorant to dangers outside of a lab which cause her to get into trouble by biting off more than she can chew going into the forest alone.

Will she make it out alive? Or will the she be taught the hard lesson that comes with not having someone to protect her in her time of need?
