Her gaze then drifted down to the two foals in her arms. She had spent the last four hours in labor and now had a set of two beautiful daughters. One was a white unicorn with a pink and purple mane. The other was a pink earth pony with a purple and white mane. Both were sleeping silently. The sight brought a content smile to her face. A small rapping was heard at the door. Behind the window pane the couple could see a brown earth pony with a graying black mane. “Come on in, Filthy.” the wayward earth pony called. The rich earth pony walked into the room and approached the side of the bed. “Hello, Filthy.” the pink unicorn greeted tiredly, “How was Rarity this morning? Did you get her off to school ok?” “She was a delight as always and I dropped her off on my way over.” he replied kindly, “Can I see my new god-filly, my old friend?” “Well, yes but I think you mean god-fillies.” the grayish brown maned stallion answered. “Really, that’s wonderful!” the stallion exclaimed, “Me and Penny always wished we had foals of our own. In fact her final wish was that I raise a foal. I doubt I’ll ever be able to fulfill her wish, though.” Magnum and Pearl exchanged looks before returning their gaze to the widower. “Filthy, we don't think we can raise three fillies at the same time.” the purple maned mare started, “Will you raise one of them as your own? I know it’s a lot to ask and we’d understand if you don’t feel comfortable with it but it would mean a lot to us if you did.” Filthy just looked at his friends and stared. This was so sudden. After a moment of thought he made his decision. “It’s ok. Take all the time you need.” the white earth stallion reminded. “It’s quite alright. I’ve come to my decision.” the brown stallion assured, “It would be my honor to raise your daughter as if she were mine.” Several years had now passed since the day his adoptive daughter was born. She knew she was adopted but she didn’t know who her biological family was. She loved her dad and that was enough for her. She did know her biological parents though. They were her god-parents. “Girls, I’m sorry I tried to blackmail you like that.” Diamond Tiara apologized with an unusual sincerity, “It wasn’t right for me to do that.” “It’s ok. I think we all learned our lesson.” Sweetie Belle accepted her apology. “Now, I don’t want you thinking I like you so don’t think I’ll start being nice to you.” the pink earth pony continued before heading out the door of the schoolhouse and towards her home.
