Amalgamationby Deathskull43ChaptersYawnSo Full of LifeWonderNightmaresHuh?Yawn"Ugh" Somewhere, some-when, someplace a monster sat, brooding on his past mistakes and wrongdoings. He thought and thought for many millennia, but only for a few seconds. He lived and died and thought and didn't. He was everything and he was nothing, his mind on display to the miasma of nothingness, to the many wandering nothings and everythings. He went to the end and the beginning searching for the idea. So far and so close in his mind. His limbs stomped and flapped and clamped and clawed as he went. His teeth chattered and chirped and bit and tore as he thought. He roared and sung and danced and pranced and devoured and produced and destroyed and created. And Finally... It came to him. He came to it. It sprung forth in a flurry, a brilliant plan. And then he went tumbling and the plan became nothingness once again. His body changed when he heard the crack of nothingness snapping open, he was torn from the nothingness and dropped like a brick. A purple flash ridding him of his foul aura. A snap sending him traveling straight to the ground. His eyes tasted and his tongue watched. His body twisted and warped, before settling on a patchwork life-form from a different when and where. From nothing and everything. His mind a cocktail of instincts, chaos, and harmony. A rumbling snore tore through the forest as a slumbering beast quaked. He had been sleeping for a long time now, the comet he was brought in thawing over time as he slept. The crater he had caused hugged his body, the prime reason he was still asleep. The animals, curious of the snore, wandered closer to the crater, before another snore scared them enough for them to run off to safety. The sun rose once again, brilliant rays of glittering gold pleasantly coating the world. Birds chirped and sang, all kinds of animals pranced and wandered. The light rays splashed through the trees, directly onto the slumbering beast, upon a large eye and a tall rack of antlers. A rumbling roar reverberated around the forest, echoing from a central point, a crater in the center of the forest. He hadn't remembered being something when he last went to sleep, what gives this place a right to give him a form... Then again he didn't remember much of anything, only that he was nothing and everything at once, never this... Something "!sittimiD cnuH !corporealmaldeB !elppalfmotgoR" He ranted and raved to the forest, stomping onwards, spewing forth a soup of syllables and sounds. Fire flung forth from his maw as he raged. Something inside him had changed, something personal and fundemental. His only real trait stripped from him by this world in some way. Acid pooled at his claws as he stomped, his body releasing the liquid as a way to decrease heat. A brilliant ball of churning magic congealed from in between the massive antlers atop his head, before flying free and going tumbling through the forest, a glittering ball of death and fire. His tail sweeped out behind him, knocking over at least a dozen trees and scattering splintered wood throughout the grove. He screamed to the sky, letting loose his rage and fury, blazing green fire erupting from his nose, mouth and eyes. Tears leaked from his eyes only to dissolve as the fire grew. His mind had been broken in the fall, a brilliant miasma of thoughts and feelings gone in an instant, all memories replaced with an impenetrable fog. His brain was reduced to that of an animal, a mess of instincts and emotion. He raged on through night and day, light and dark, days upon days of mindless anguish. "What in the world is that?" A terrified purple pony screamed as she ran from a large glittering disco ball, anything that it went past was bathed in a deep purple light and changing color to a myriad of different colors, dominated by red and black in the pattern of flannel. As it washed over the purple pony, her fur changed, bright blue tufts of fur sprung forth from her purple hide. The purple, now also spotted, pony looked down at herself in shock, before running off, away from the rolling disco ball. Several more ponies were changed before the elements and Princess Twilight arrived a brilliant, bright purple flash engulfing a small patch of ground in front of the large crystal castle. The disco ball was almost instantly stopped, wrapped in a purple glow as it was pulled elegantly through the air towards twilight. "Don't worry everypony, we got the situation... handled?" Rainbow Dash started, before she turned to see the state of the town. Half the town had been changed, many buildings now sporting new colors, the largest of all being town hall, which had changed into a frighteningly pink color with white polka-dots. Several ponies sat nearby, their fur changed in some spots to either a deep jet black or a bright neon blue. Though everypony was unharmed, this was certainly a crisis. This was chaos magic at work, and there was only one who could let loose such magic. "Discord!" Twilight called, her voice carrying across the valley with a simple amplification spell. The draconequus appeared with a pop, a look of pure joy on his face. "Why, hello there, Twilight, I'm sure this is about the chaos magic being used." Discord said as he rested an arm against the disco ball, a single claw trailing along the ball's side. "Discord." Twilight began again, before she was interrupted by Discord again. "Well! I'm happy to inform you that it wasn't me!" Discord shouted, a friendly smile upon his face. Silence reigned for a few seconds, before Rainbow Dash burst out laughing, simply from the absurdity of Discord's statement. Applejack brought her hoof to her face as she sat down, grumbling something to herself. Rarity was still in shock over the disastrous color pallet of city hall. Pinkie was rapping her hoof against the side of the disco ball, producing a hollow sounding echo. Fluttershy simply stared at the now sweating Discord, his eyes locked onto hers. Twilight simply sighed, "Discord, you don't have to lie to us, were not gonna put you back into a statue at any moment." Discord responded by looking over at Twilight and producing a brilliant ball disco ball with moving panes of glass, orbiting his open paw. "This is what my disco balls look like!" He dropped it in front of Twilight, before turning to the huge ball and cracking it open with a tap. It rumbled for a second, before cracking in half, the inside coated in gems of all kinds and... What looked like many, many slugs. He did the same to his disco ball, and inside was simply a ton of butterflies. "See! Big difference." Discord said with crossed arms, Fluttershy's stare lessened, becoming a simple glare. "Hold on, girls... He might be right." Twilight spoke, her head tilted to the side and a hoof on her chin. Her horn glowed for a second before her eyes were shrouded in a dark purple aura. Discord's ball was a brilliant shining gold, while the gigantic ball was coated in a dark green miasma of magic, it was engulfed in feelings of rage and desperation. The sight of the aura on the ball was enough for Twilight to gasp and shock, tears threatening to flow forth from her eyes. The spell was dispelled as he concentration broke. "Twi? You alright?" Rainbow Dash asked, her laughing at ceased at Twilight's gasp, along with the rest of the group turning to look at Twilight in concern for her. "Y-yeah it's just... That's definitely not Discord's... It feels... Just... Wrong!" She mumbled, stumbling over her words and stuttering occasionally, her wings fluffed out, backing away from the ball and pressing her side against Applejack's, Pinkie moving to press against Twilight's other side. The invading feelings were dispersed as her friends surrounded her. She was safe and she was secure, that desperation wasn't hers. "Why don't we head back to the castle and relax before we get going on this adventure." Applejack said, nuzzling Twilight's cheek to reassure her of her safety. "That's a wonderful idea!" Rarity spoke, a gentle smile on her face as she looked at Twilight. "Do you think you could carry that over to the castle, Discord?" Fluttershy muttered, reaching down with a feather tip to let a slug crawl on. "Of course, Dearest." Discord did as he was bid, snapping his fingers with a smile on his face, resulting in a loud 'Thump!' in the direction of the castle. Author's Note Hey... How's it going bud? How's your day been? That's great... or bad... Hope your day gets better or stays good. See ya. So Full of LifeAnd so the journey begins anew. In a desolate clearing a monster sat, coughing and hacking. The surrounding forest had been decimated. His raging had destroyed a small open field in the middle of the dense forest. Wood and bark had been scattered across the area, splintered fragments of boulders had been thrown as if they were made of cloth. The ground was scorched and wide trenches had been torn in the dirt. In the very center of all this devastation sat the monster, his front legs were pulled close to his throat as he hacked, small puffs of smoke shooting out of his nostrils. His prismatic, multicolored eyes opened wide in shock and pain, before they closed once again as he coughed. He pressed one front hoof down on the ground, before the other. It took him a while to crawl out of the pit he had sat in, his front left hoof was cracked right down the middle, he hadn't noticed it until his throat had been roasted by all the fire-breathing he had done. As he reached the edge of the crater, he turned to look back, the only thing remaining in the pit being the steaming liquid that had dripped of him. He took a moment to sit down, and take a look at his surroundings. His gaze panned over across the clearing, a grimace on his face, before he looked down at his torn apart hoof, and then back up. His eyes narrowed as he looked over at the large path of crushed trees leading through the forest. It seems as though that magic ball was a bit stronger than first thought. The fringes of the great, glittering ball had singed the trees it had passed and scorched the ground that it rolled on. He took a cautious step, placing his left hoof down first, which proved to be a bit of a mistake. Bristling pain ran up his leg as he stepped, a gasp of pain escaping his sharp-toothed mouth. The gasp set off a chain reaction the resulted in him hacking and wheezing as his behind hit the ground. Tears ran down his muzzle like rain as he held his left hoof tightly to his fluffy chest, blood smearing on his jet black coat and covering the brilliant neon fur with a dark red sheen. After several minutes of hacking and harsh breathing, he began to limp along the path made by the ball, holding his leg close to him. His stumbling three-legged gait resulted in him tumbling a few times, before he got the process down. He limped off, eyes constantly flicking to and from either side of the path, taking in the destruction he had caused. A tiny whimper escaped the monster, his eyes watering as he watched little woodland creatures run from him in terror. Something about other living, thinking creatures running from him felt wrong, it hurt deep down for some unknown reason. After a while, the only sound that spread through the forest was the quiet thumps of his footsteps, and the howling, whistling wind. He could see light ahead, a large arch covering the path, and a lantern hanging from it. A bright flash encompassed the sky, followed by a roar of thunder, sending the monster tumbling forward under the arch. He quickly realized his mistake as his left hoof erupted in a swamp of pain. He let out a pained gurgle as he sunk to the ground, sobbing horribly. His fragile mind could hardly take in what was happening as a single raindrop plopped down onto his muzzle. His eyes turned to the sky, watching as clouds raced across the sky, he caught a glance of more lightning flashing across the sky. He thrust his eyes back down to the ground and covered his head with his wings, the entire length of them hiding his body from the rain. He shook and shuddered as the sky ruptured once again, quiet sobbing the only sound escaping him. Rain began to splatter against the scorched ground, ashes and dirt mixing with rain water. He slowly, carefully, peeked out from behind his wing, being rewarded with a drop of rain directly into his eye. He hissed in frustration, before settling down once again, laying his wings against his body and resting his head on his front hooves. He looked down at his reflection, the water beginning to pool on the ground around him. Bright, prismatic colors met him, constantly shifting and changing, spiraling around his iris, which was a dark shade of green. Flecks of gold and ivory danced in his eyes as he watched, he looked over at his wings, seeing that the feathers were also a changing myriad of colors. He hummed to himself, his primitive brain delighted in the colors as they changed a moved, an almost childlike expression of wonder took over his face. His eyes lit up in shades of gold and light green, spots of orange and pink sparkling along with them. His wings took on a change too, purples and pinks lighting the edges, the center being a bright red, and then fading into black as it got closer to his body. And just like that, the monster fell into a deep slumber, a small smile on his face as he slept. To anypony else, he simply looked like a rainbow colored lump on the ground. Light... What is it with light and waking him up... The monsters brilliant prismatic eyes stared up at the sun with a scathing glare, before he grumbled, coughed once, and then let out a long yawn. His hoof was still cradled to his chest, dried blood caking the limb, his licked away most of the blood, that being the only solution his primitive mind could think of. With a tired sigh, he stood, noticing the hoof marks on the dirt along the path, leading directly in the direction he was planning on walking. He tilted his head to the side, brought his muzzle low to the ground, and inhaled deeply through his nose. Instantly a bright blue mist surrounded the hoof marks, the mist continued further down the path. He began to wander along, following the hoof tracks. Nose to the ground, he continued, stumbling occasionally. The tracks led through the forest, before he encountered a fork in the road. He sat down, sniffing one set of hoof tracks, before moving to the other and comparing them. The right one smelt a bit like honey and mint, while the left smelt of cherries and something spicy. He compared them two more times, before stomping his hooves a few times in frustration. His eyes flicked from one path to the other, and back again. He whined lightly, before pressing his nose back to the ground and following the path he smelt first. His throat had begun to ache horribly, and an empty feeling settled deep in his torso. Suddenly he flattened himself against the ground, his ears pinned to the back of his head and a growl escaping his throat. Voices... He heard voices up ahead, speaking something he couldn't understand. Shouting and screaming soon reached his ears, accompanied by the sounds of steel against steel. He was on his feet in an instant, the singular track now melding into many, alongside talon like marks in the ground. He began to run full steam down the path, his injured leg the last thing in his mind. For some incomprehensible reason, he felt a pain in his heart at the cries of pain and screaming, worry spread through him like fire in oil. The sounds began to grow louder, sprinkles of blood along the path leading to a pony with his throat torn out, a line carved into the poor stallions neck. Another whine escaped him as he nosed the body once, before he began running again. He passed three more pony corpses before passing by a bird-lion hybrid body, the creatures skull caved in, most likely from an earth pony kick. He ignored that corpse, continuing onward before coming to a clearing. Another one of those large bird-lions stood over an armored earth pony stallion, his spear glancing off the heavy steel plates. The monsters, guided by instincts, body slammed the bird-lion, hearing something crack in the creatures body as they slammed together. The sheer force of the bash was enough to drive the creature deep into a tree, his left foreleg bent at an awkward angle. Ignoring the now still bird-lion, the monster leaned down to pull the earth pony up, nosing him forward. The earth pony spouted some words, before rushing off and doing the same body slam to another bird-lion, this one with a spiked mace. A small group of ponies held off a wave of bird-lion, three unicorns firing burning magic arrows into the griffons, some hitting, and some simply thumping against bird-lions leather armor and dispersing. The three unicorns were guarded by a group of four pegasi and two heavily armored earth ponies. The earth ponies were unarmed, but the pegasi held a shield and a spear on either wing. They were being attacked by a group of five bird-lions, all of which were armed with short curved swords. Our protagonist focused hard, imagining a blazing fire burning the bird-lions, before a brilliant orange light cascaded over the clearing. Another orb had appeared over the monsters head, bright yellow and burning. The battle briefly paused, all in the clearing taking a moment to marvel at the hulking monstrosity, before a pegasus lodged his spear deep into the throat of a bird-lion. That set of a chain reaction, the monster roaring loudly and letting loose the ball of flame. The orb flew straight and perfect, passing through one bird-lion, and then another, before lodging itself in the third in a bright explosion that left the ponies unharmed, as the last bird-lion simply cawed in shock and flew away. Or he would have if a pink spectral arrow hadn't lodged itself into its spine. A cry distracted the monster, his head turning to spot a dark green foal cowering under a bird-lion. The monster charged the bird, his razor sharp teeth clamping down on the lion-birds raised claw, and bringing it back with a tug. The tug had unexpected consequences, the bird-lion bringing its other claw down to slash across the monsters face, though that didn't stop the creatures arm from getting torn off with sheer force. Blood ran over the monsters eyes as he threw the corpse aside, spotting a blurry blob notching an arrow aimed straight at the foal. A croak rippled from the bow as it was fired, followed by a muffled thump, and a whimper. There the monster sat, his wing extended and his body covering the foal, multiple arrows splintered into his outstretched wing, one actually piercing through and poking out the other side. Despite all of that, the monster cooed softly to the foal his fluffy body covering the young filly. His nose prodded the foal, a giggle escaping her mouth as he did so. Slowly, he closed his eyes, silence spreading through the clearing as he began to lay next to the foal, his wing still outstretched, and place his head onto her front hooves. Light... What is with light and always... Author's Note No spooky chaos speak in this one, sorry bud. Point out any mistakes I made if you'd like, I'll get to em eventually. Thanks for reading. WonderLight... Alright, he was beginning to dislike light... Always... The monster jumped to his hooves, or atleast tried to. The sudden movement resulted in a cry of shock that wasn't his own and the thump of his head smacking into the wooden floor. Before he even opened his eyes he was in the air, shimmering with a faint green light, before being placed back down onto a soft bed. The left side of his face was covered by something, panic began to worm its way into the monsters mind as he squirmed, held in place by what felt like an unmovable force. His left eye finally opened, being greeted with a shockingly pink unicorn stallion and a glowing green horn. His first reaction was to relax, he clearly wasn't in any danger. A smile spread across his face as he tried to speak to the stallion. ,,¿ǝɯ sɐ ʇsɐǝq ɐ ɥɔns pǝnɔsǝɹ noɥʇ ʇsɐH ¿sǝᴉɯǝuǝ ǝlᴉʌ ʎɥʇ ɯoɹɟ ǝɯ pǝʌɐs noɥʇ ʇsɐH ¡ollǝH,, What came out was completely alien to the pink unicorn so he responded in the only way he could, "What?" The monster tilted his head, confusion enshrouding his mind. What had that pony just said? It certainly didn't sound like anything he heard before, though it did sound familiar for some unknown reason. He decided that physical actions were just as good as words, and reached up to lick the stallions left cheek, a gesture he was using to try and convey thanks. The stallion reacted by pulling back before he could even perform said action. A whine crept up the monster's throat, tears welling up in his eyes. He huffed loudly, before shoving his face under the covers of the bed and sitting there. He looked quite silly to any watching. A giggle ran through the room, the monster's ears perking up from under the blanket and sticking up, which caused another chorus of laughter. A smile spread across his face as he brought his head out of the blanket, eyes locking onto a group of foals sitting in a different bed, one with her hoof wrapped in a white cast. The monster let a silly expression take over his face. He let one ear flop limply against his left eye, and then let the other fall as well, his tongue sticking out of his mouth and his eyes crossed. Now, even the stallion had a small smile on his face, shaking his head as he began to look over the wounds on the monster's wings. He grinned back at the foals, a ball of bright green magic glowing over his head, before flying high into the ceiling of the room before bursting in a spray of pretty lights and confetti. A dark green foal walked over to the monster's bed, a smile on her face, but her head down. She jumped up onto the bed, a wary glance from the stallion was quickly swept off his face as the filly nuzzled the monster on his cheek. The monster responded with a nuzzle of his own, and a lick on her cheek, his injured wing wrapping around the filly. More foals began to run over to his bed, snuggling up under his wings. The stallion turned to his right with his horn alight, and slowly dragged the other bed closer to the monster's, the beds now touching, making it easy for the injured foal to crawl over and lie next to her friends. "Those griffons did quite a number on you, friend. I think the cracked hoof is from some point earlier, and you having no food in your body certainly didn't help the healing process. Do you think you could eat for me?" The monster tilted his head, obviously not understanding them. A yellow pegasus colt to his right nosed him, getting his attention, before making motions of eating, biting down on air. The monster's ears sprung upwards, his head now nodding eagerly. "Thanks Starsoar, I'll be back with some food for our guest." Starsoar nodded, a smile on his face, before he flopped against the monster side and lied down. As the foals pressed up against him, the monster suddenly felt better, the pain in his bandaged hoof didn't hurt as much, and his wings felt fuzzy and warm. He let out a content sigh, before lowering his head and closing his eyes once more. Just like that, the monster slept, surrounded by happy little ponies and bandaged up. Suddenly he felt a horn bump against his forehead and knock lightly against his antlers. The blue on the unicorn filly became more prominent, his head felt more focused. Running on instinct he thought hard, thinking of any word he could hear them saying before, one word sticking out in his mind, feeling as though it wasn't his to say. "Hello?" His voice was deep and rumbling as it left him, overpowering the other conversations the foals were having, and even echoing a bit. The monsters tongue felt strange, like it was fuzzy and gooey at the same time. The sharp fangs in his mouth were gone, replaced by flat teeth, though the second row of teeth further down his throat stayed razor sharp. His tongue changed from flat and long, to thicker and rounder at the end as opposed to its split down the middle before. Even his tail changed, taking on a remarkably less sharp texture, now fuzzy and light. His feathers had changed as well, deep blue marks running down the middle to end in a dark purple. "Hi!" The unicorn filly responded, bouncing lightly in the bed with a smile on my face. "Youngling, dost thou comprehend mine utterance?" The monster asked in old pony speak. It was as if a whole wealth of instincts at rushed through him. Centuries of evolution placed within him in the blink of an eye, the words felt perfect in his mouth, pronounced as if he had said them thousands of times before. His brain was still a jumbling mess of unknown images, emotions, thoughts, and feelings, but suddenly, these words made perfect sense to him. He understood them with absolute clarity. "Of course she heard you, you're talkin' pretty loud!" Starsoar said from his right, his eyes bright and a smile on his face. "Nay, we could not comprehend thy words mere instants ago!" The monster replied, his voice refined and elegant. The door to the room opened, the pink stallion stepping in with a confused look on his face. "Uhm... So you can talk now?" The stallion muttered, he looked completely baffled. The stallion was balancing a tray on his back, packed with snacks for the foals, and two daffodil sandwiches for the monster. He approached the bed quickly, using his magic to open the monster's mouth, peering at the new tongue and teeth. "And those certainly weren't like that earlier..." "I suppose I can, though why is beyond my knowledge. I must thank you for thine kindness, saving such a beast as me. Many seek to judge me solely based on my appearance." "Well, I'm not gonna complain, makes this a bit easier." The pink stallion responded, and now that the monster could get a good look, he could see his lighter pink mane and cutie mark resembling a bright red cross over a large green heart. He set the tray on the table next to the beds, the foals running over to savagely clean the tray of snacks in seconds, Starsoar making sure to grab extra for the foal with the cast. The monster focused, summoning up all of his mental fortitude. The small plate on the tray was coated in a dark green aura, slowly and shakily drifting over to the monster and flopping at his front hooves. As the monster dug in with wild abandon, the pink stallion simply smiled, sitting down next to the bed and checking over the monsters wounds once again, carefully changing the bandages on his wing. He finally spoke up as he tightly wrapped the bandages around his wing. "So, what's your name big guy?" "Name? Why, I... Hmm... That is a good question..." The monster stopped eating to respond, making sure to swallow before speaking, remembering to be polite, the only thing that rose up in his confusing mind. "Ooo! Ooo! Greenheart, Can we call him Rainbow!?" Starsoar nearly shouted, bouncing up and down on the bed. "Now why would we call him that?" Greenheart asked, a slightly confused expression settling on his bright pink face. "Cause of his eyes, Duh!" Starsoar responded, thrusting a hoof outwards to point at the monsters eyes. The constantly shifting expanse inside of the monsters eyes shifted once again, back to its neutral spiraling of prismatic color. He took another bite from his sandwich with a puzzled expression on his face. "Hmm... What about prisma? It means the same thing as rainbow, but it sounds cooler." The stallion thought out loud with a grin on his face. A wave of "Oohh"s ran through the group of foals, along with nodding heads and smiles. Author's Note Hey again, Took me a while to get this done. But hey, there it is. Tell me if I messed anything up. Stay safe. NightmaresLife... So fragile... He woke up shivering, crickets chirped loudly outside, the blanket that he had fallen asleep under was gone. His heart thudded painfully in his chest, his mouth tastes like copper, his legs shook under him as he eased himself off the bed. He winced as the boards squeaked under his red coated hoof, he assumed that the bandages had been taken off at some point, as a dull ache made its way up his wounded leg. A yawn threatened to escape his maw, but he help it back with a gulp. The room smelt of rot and decay, and as his eyes focused more he noticed the blood covered beds were completely empty. His heart dropped low, a growl rumbling out from his throat. He stumbled over to the window, its glass smashed for whatever reason and peered out. The sight was almost too much to bare. The cobblestone streets were coated in blood, tracks of blood leading from open houses leading to the big fountain in the middle of town. In the fountain was a mass of bodies, at the very top sat a shadow cloaked in moonlight, bat-like wings extended outwards, and curved horns sat atop its head, spiraling into the sky. The fountain was overflowing with blood, flowing forth from the bodies of mares, stallions, and foals alike. The sky was encased in a frightful red hue, spreading from horizon to horizon, the clouds whirled past at impossible speeds. Pegasi could occasionally be seen in the frantic mass of moving clouds, swept up in the unnatural current. Prisma stumbled back, his back end hitting the ground with a dull thud as he stared at the wall in horror. Jagged claw-marks were torn through the wood, a blood trail led from this room out through the open door. Maggots poured from the marks in the wall in swathes, along with other crawling and skittering insects. Prisma stood on unsteady legs after taking a second to breathe, his throat aching painfully. He began to slowly walk towards the open door, following the blood trail, occasionally coming across another broken down door and peering through. He walked down a long corridor with one door at the end leading to an open area. He checked each and every door he passed. All of them were inhabited only by buzzing and squirming masses of insects once again, falling from holes in the ceiling. He passed a small cart that looked like it had food on it. An apple looked as if it had long since gone bad, insects swarmed the cart in waves, constant waves. The food itself all looked as if it had sat there for years untouched and covered in either blood or dust. A hole had been blasted through the door at the end of the wall, and the wood still looked charred. As he approached the end of the hall he heard a dull croak, followed by a wet splash. He slowly peeked out the door to the main room, inside sat a few couches and one big wooden table next to a fire-place. A pink unicorn stallion sat in the corner, rapidly growing pale and clawing at his bleeding throat with his hooves. Prisma rushed out without a second thought, pulling a cloth off of the table and rushing over to try to tie it over the wound. As soon as he came within view of the stallion, the stallion shot of a burst of pale green magic, which struck Prisma in the chest without much force, but with enough to send his wounded body staggering. That magic blast looked as if it were used with the last of the unicorn's energy, as he slumped over as the shot hit Prisma, his eyes glazing over as he fell. Prisma sat down hard once again, tears welling up in his eyes, before his threw the rag down and rushed out the open front door, terror beginning to take hold of his mind. Rage made its presence known, he spotted the fountain and the creature who sat atop the throne of bodies. A roar ripped from Prisma's maw, glass breaking in some of the closer houses. The creature responded by tilting its shadowed head and letting an unholy laugh out. It was like a mad cackling, the sound of somepony truly losing their mind. Prisma rushed the throne and spread his wings, launching from the ground with a single flap of his wings. Gravity distorted, the flap of his wings now silent in the open air as he fell upwards. He smashed into a cloud with the force of a wagon, several cracks and creaks sounded from Prisma's body, a groan let his now bleeding mouth, a tooth seemed to have come loose at some point. And just like that, gravity returned, Prisma's body once again smashing against the ground at full force, this time he definitely felt a few ribs snap. He rose on shakey legs, the shadowed creature slowly trotting forward, its wings extended, and its head held high. The creatures left hoof swung outwards, smashing against the right side of Prisma's face, his jaw cracking. Another hoof came from below, sending him stumbling backwards as the contents of his stomach flung free from his mouth. He sputtered and spat, lungs heaving for air as he croaked, his legs were swept out from under him and his head hit the ground with and audible "Crack!". His eyes hazily noticed the creature moving its back legs closer to Prisma's slumped body. The creature reared back, tensing its legs as much as it could, before lashing both back legs out to strike Prisma's chest with the force of a train. Prisma was sent spiraling through the air, the hooves had pierced his body, smashing against his insides and causing most of his bones to shatter. He crashed into the general store at the front of town, smashing through the jagged glass window and cutting up his body as he went through. His eyes felt heavy and his head swam as he tried to rise to his hooves. His left fore-hoof had broken at the fetlock, the bone protruding at an odd angle through his skin, while his right fore-hoof had been smashed inwards from the impact of hitting the cloud earlier. A pitiful cry of pain left his mouth as his eyelids fluttered closed again. "Prisma!" Greenheart called his name again, a worried look on his face. The oversized pony had curled up into a ball by the time Greenheart had gotten back from his picnic with the foals. The monster in question was shaking like a leaf in the wind, his wings wrapped around his body and his tail held close to his chest. Greenheart reached out to gently rub the creatures left shoulder, thinking that his wounded hoof was acting up again. Greenheart had been taking care of Prisma for a few days now, having made sure that he stayed off his wounded hoof and stayed in bed. He had grown quite close to the foals as of recently, and even had a growing sense of pride in his action of saving a wounded foal. He had helped out the builders a few times, using his magic to levitate a few of the larger piles of lumber. Though one thing really worried Greenheart, and that was Prisma's nightmares. He would have a reoccurring dream every few days, the same dream, but with slight differences and discrepancies. Like the pony in the front room would always be different, and the insects would sometimes change species or disappear entirely. After a few seconds of gently tapping him with his hoof, he gave the shaking monster a small shove, shouting his name in his quivering ears. "PRISMA!" The monster woke up with a start, jumping out of the bed and almost barreling over Greenheart. Before Greeheart could even comprehend what was going on, Prisma had him held in his front hooves, held close to his barrel. Greenheart returned the affections when he recovered from the shock, wrapping his hooves around Prisma's neck. "It was me this time, wasn't it?" Greenheart gently asked, using his magic to rub slow circles into Prisma's back. A small nod was all that came as an answer, the hold on Greenheart's body tightening ever so slightly and a small sob escaping the monster. Author's Note Sorry this took so long, had to do some stuff. Hope you enjoyed, let me know if anything's messed up. Stay safe. Huh?"Hmmm..." Discord hummed to himself as he stared out at the horizon. The sun was high in the sky, a gentle warmth coating the world. A pleasant breeze spread throughout the valley, carrying with it the scent of spring. Birds chirped and sung as Discord sat outside Fluttershy's cottage. Discord had been sitting in a little brown rocking chair for hours now, Fluttershy having left to go to some royal party or whatever. Discord couldn't care less about pony parties... His body seemed to grow in size, his body uncoiling from its resting state as he grew, as a no good grin spread across his face. Now, crashing a royal party would be great! His body deflated as his mind drifted back to Fluttershy, coiling tightly back up, his chin resting on the arm of the chair. A brilliant green flash swept throughout the continent, spreading from ocean to tundra, as a crack appeared in time, space, and cosmos. "Well, that's certainly not boring..." Was discord's response. A comet flew forth from the crack, trailing a megalithic expulsion of chaos magic. Dark magic seeked out the comet, a black tendril of magic grabbing onto the frozen orb. A brilliant burst of magic flung forth from the very top of Canterlot, a expanding orb of magic covering the entire planet and pushing the dark magic back through the crack. Discord snapped his fingers, mending the hole in reality as he drank a glass of chocolate milk. The comet was released as the tendril of magic was expelled, plummeting to the ground with unknowable force. "Hmmm... Might as well make sure whatever that is survives..." Discord thought to himself, glancing at the reader with a grumble before turning back to the comet and slowing its descent. The comet absolutely reeked of chaos magic. And something else, but Discord didn't want to spoil the mystery. And finally, Discord simply wished the thing good luck, hoping it cause some mischief along the way.
Yawn"Ugh" Somewhere, some-when, someplace a monster sat, brooding on his past mistakes and wrongdoings.
