Tally and Trinket have lived a hard life. After being bounced one too many times from foster home to foster home, tally takes matters into her own hooves and embarks on a mission to protect her younger brother, Trinket, from any pony who would use them as a fast way to get bits over share love and kindness.

This story takes part after Tally starts to find trust in an adoptive family who have connections to original series characters, Pint, Fall, and Bucky. Tally is still weary of other ponies, but perhaps she has finally found something worth exploring that doesn't involve 'flight, or fight' emotions?
