Chapters One thing you should know about me. I love Rainbow Dash. I wont deny it. I am also her #1 fan, and she knows it. If only she knew why was because of what we have been through. I first met when we were newborns. Yeah, THAT early in life. I was finally let out of my crib and I began to crawl around. Not paying attention, I bump into a baby filly and fall over. I look at her, still on the ground and she looks at me. She was a pegasus, like me. But she 6 mane colors, unlike mine which are just 2 shades of gold. And get up and I look up at her. I randomly giggle and fall over again. She laughs and I do too. Eventually, her mother picks her up and they leave the hospital and I left shortly afterwards. I never saw her again until a few years later.
I was flying around when my closest friend bumps... no, CRASHES into me just to tell me there is a race between 2 colts and 1 filly. I wasn't a outdoors kind-of-colt but I wanted to see it. I fly to the stands, in the front row. I see the 2 colts, the one at the far right had his mane nearly cover his eyes. I wondered if he could even see through. Then I spy the filly. I didn't know her name, but I only knew part of it was Rainbow. She had a messed-up mane and tail, sparkling rose rims around her black eyes and a smile so wide. Her smile made me believe she knew she would win. That smile made me smile too. I didn't know it yet but I had fallen in love with her. When the 3 racer's wings began to lift made my heart race. A tall yellow filly with pink flowing hair began to lift a flag in her mouth. "You ready to go down, Rainbow CRASH?" I hear one of the colts say. The filly rebuttals pretty well, but I can't recall exactly what she said. I knew the CRASH part that the brown colt said was an insult and I didn't like it. The yellow mare slashes down the flag and the 3 dashes off. I see the colt with the huge mane hit the poor yellow filly off her cloud and she falls. Down to the ground. I only hear cheering so I don't think anypony noticed. I stare at her falling body, about to fall to her demise. I gasp only to see... A hoof. Right at my face. I diss at my friend who was cheering like crazy and he tells me to look down. The moment I do, A gigantic boom hits my ears and a rainbow ring can be seen. I cover my face with my fore legs but the wind gusting at me was too strong. I bet it could still be heard at Canterlot! Once the blast past me, I see the filly, Her mane and tail gone but was replace with a magnificent rainbow trail. When she reached the finish line and blew the rainbow past me, I cheered. Hard. Harder than I have ever done. I knew about special somepony's and that sort of thing at that age, and I thought we were soulmates. On that same day, I got my cutie mark as well.
The special connection between us grew and grew over the years, for example: I had went to the Young Flyer's Competition and Rainbow was there. I didn't even know that until she showed up. She also did her 2nd Sonic Rainboom too. I went to Sugar Cube Corner for their famous cupcakes but when I left, I bump into her. Not knowing what to do, I simply moved out of the way and hid my face. I was blushing so hard, my whole face was pink. I stayed longer and Scootaloo and her friends came along and Rainbow told them about when she got her cutie mark. She even mentioned me, but she described me as a 'weirdo-colt'. I sort of giggled, even thought it was an insult to me.
Today I got home, unloaded my bags onto the floor and jumped on my bed. I rest a bit to notice my 'Rainbow - Journal'. It was really a copy of "Dairy of a Wimpy Colt. Do-It-Yourself Book. It had millions of pages filled with questions and stuff for you to answer but I didn't get it for that. I got it for the blank pages at the end. Half of the book is blank for you to fill in WHATEVER you want to. So, I used it to keep a journal, of whatever things I see Rainbow Dash do. I didn't see her do anything today so I left my house and into the streets of Ponyville. I saw her flying in the air, being awesome and lovely. I look around, I am basically the only one her except Rainbow. And Scootaloo who was across the street, doing the same thing as I am, admiring her. "You like her, don't you?" Scootaloo says, right at my face. I hadn't noticed but I had my tounge out and I was drooling. "Oh!" I snap to reality and quickly fix my face and look at her."N.... No I don't!" I look to the left. "You're blushing." The filly says, with an emotionless tone. "I am?" I quickly hide my face with a hoof. She laughs. "No you're not. This proves you DO like her!" She exclaims. "Well, uh..." I try to say, not knowing what to do. "Um.... Bye Scootaloo! Nice chat!" I say and trot off. Going away from her I hear her say; "He is SO in love with her. But I won't tell her. I don't want to go through the trouble." I sigh in relief. I reach home and grab my Rainbow - Journal and take a pencil with my mouth.
'Rainbow Journal Entry # 84
I saw Rainbow Dash performing tricks she had made herself. She was talking to a bunch of clouds, which I thought was weird but I guess she was pretending it was ponies so I understand. I also got confronted by Scootaloo. She knows my love for Rainbow but at least she won't tell, I hope. That's all for now.

I close the book and rest my aching head. Octavia had me play a bunch of instruments after she knew I could sing and play the guitar. Apparently, I can ONLY sing and play the guitar. Every instrument I tried, I failed at. I failed at. I forgot to write something in my Rainbow - Journal so I re-opened the book.

I had been waiting for a time to tell her my fan side of me, and my loving side I guess. But, I don't want to embarrass me or more importantly her in any public way, so I'm waiting for a moment where it's just me and her, alone.
Rainbow Journal Entry closed.' Well, that day came SOONER than I'd expected. In fact, It was the next day! I had waited, for a bit to see the Summer Sun Celebration. But I oversleep every time. This time I didn't and I was one of the first ponies to get there, but I never made it. I was flying over, when I notice something. I stopped and see Rainbow Dash, sleeping on a cloud. I don't know why she isn't sleeping in her bed but I didn't really care. I float closer, little by little. But I got a bit to close. She heard my wings flapping and she wakes, jumps and lands on all fours. "What do you want?" She asks.
"Oh. Um, I didn't mean to wake you." I say. "But... uh... well, I am your BIGGEST fan." She turns her head. "I knew that. Are you a bigger fan than Scootaloo?" She asks. "Of course!" I say with pride. "My room is basically you!" One of her eyebrows lift. I thought I had wierded her out. "Uh, I think I have weirded you out so, I'll just go." I began to fly off. "Wait." Rainbow calls to me. "Yes?" I ask. "You look really familiar. Have we met before?" She asked me. "Well, I was that 'weirdo-colt' in your cutie mark story." I remind her. I think something clicked when her eyes grow wider." I remember now! I made you smile so wide when I got my cutie mark, before the race!" She says, excited to remember me. " I kinda fell in love with you that day..." I blush and rub my mane. "Well! How about a date then?" She asks, her muzzle up, with a smurk of a smile. I recoil back due to her question. "Am I dreaming?" I ask myself. "No, you're not. Since I'm way to awesome to date somepony so I'll give you this one chance to prove me wrong. 12:00 sharp. A minute late and its off." She smiles and flies off to her home. She stops mid-flight and comes back. "Oh, and if you are here to watch The Summer Sun Celebration, you missed it." She dashes away until I couldn't see her anymore. I just float there, as the sun comes up behind me.
A date? With my life-long crush? This was my dream come true! I had been on dates, but none of them was successful . The best date I have been on was with Berry Punch, but she kept saying my name wrong. I got home and went to sleep. To get ready for our date. I had written down the time I should get up, which was 11:40. I woke several hours later. I look at my old-fashioned clock. It was 11:45! I was late! Well, later than I was supposed to wake. I quickly grabbed glasses, cooked some food, fixed my bed-mane and and ran out the door. I kick-started my wings and flew to Dash's house.When I reached her house it was 11:58. I was safe. 2 minutes later, she comes out of her cloud dome. She had her mane brushed so neatly, her eyes sparkled and I guess long story short, She was more beautiful that ever before. "Shall we go?" She asks me, in an elegant voice. "Yeah..." I had my tounge out again. I shake me head and snap to reality. We venture to a cliff nearby Ponyville. I lay down the picnic mat and some food. I take out my "creation" out of the picnic basket and cut it into four. I give a quarter to Rainbow, and another for me. After I was done with the preparing , we began eating.
"This is good!" She says, having taken her first bite. "You made this yourself?" I blush. "Is this your special talent?" She asks. "Surprisingly, no it isn't." I show her my flank. On it was a F Clef for a cutie mark. After explaining my cutie mark story to Rainbow, she asks; "So you can sing, play the guitar AND cook?" "I guess." I answer. Once the food has been eaten and the sun was setting, I began to pack. "So the date is over. I'll just be going now." I kiss her on the cheek. I flap open my wings and lift off the ground. "Wait!" Rainbow calls to me. I land on the ground next to her. "Yeah?" We remain silent for a while. Rainbow closes her eyes. "I can believe I'm doing this on a first date but..." She breaths out and kisses me on the lips. Now this was my dream come true! Rainbow Dash, kissing me! I didn't know what to do so I returned the kiss. We laid down on the grassy ground as we kiss until the sun disappeared from sight. Rainbow releases her lips from mine. "So, is it okay if I tag along?"
We reach home and unlock my door. Rainbow being with me, I let her in first. "Thanks." She says, whipping her tail at me. She had some kind of perfume on. I liked it. Once she's in my house, I get in and lock my door. "You're place is... nice." Every wall has something related to her. Most of them are photos. Cheese. The only thing I can think of is cheese. I don't know why. "Cheese..." I say. "What?" Rainbow asks. "Nothing..." I lied. She enters my room. "Wow..." She looks at my room. All of the walls and furniture is well... her. She tries to leave the admiration behind as she notices my guitar. "Hey, is that your guitar?" "Yep. Want me to play it now?" I ask. She nods happily. She sat on my rug and I stand in front of her. I turn on my music and began to play my guitar.
"It's bugging me, grating me and twisting me around!"
"Yeah, I'm endlessly caving in and turning inside out!"
"Cause I want it now! I want it now!"
"Give me your heart and your soul!"
"And I'm breaking out! I'm breaking out!"
"Last chance to lose control!" I began to play an instrumental. I go crazy on my bass guitar.
"And I want you now! I want you now~!"
"I'll feel my heart implode!:
"And I'm breaking out! Escaping now!"
"Feeling my faith erode!" I close my eyes as I continue to go crazy on my guitar, almost braking one of my strings. I end my song with a 'epic' ending. I open my eyes to see Rainbow, with a dumbfounded look on her face. The next song starts to play. "Rainbow,... I love yo...." I quickly ran to it and shut it off. I look back at Dash. "Is that what I think it is?" She turns her head. "What do you mean?" "I didn't know my voice would be erotic ." She looks back to see her wings open stiff. She freaks out, trying to push down her wings. She fails to and just leaves them be. As her wings began to go down, I ask if she wants to sleep here. Her wings spring right up again. I KNEW she wants to. "I have some things to do at home... but I'll follow. It's the best I can do for you." She says. I got us some dinner a bit later with fancy candles and what not and prepared to sleep. "I can get you a camping bed if you like..." I ask. "No thanks. I'll just sleep on your... 'me" rug." She says, looking at the rug she sat on earlier. I had painted it. Before it was brown, boring mat. Now, a cyan rug with Rainbow's cutie mark on it.
Almost midnight, we went to sleep. "Night, Rainbow." I say, removing the fire off the last lit candle in my room. "You know, after our first date, I still haven't asked for your name." She says. "Clef. My name is Clef." I reply. "Clef? I like that name." Was Rainbow's final words before she fell asleep. I quietly trot to my bed. I couldn't rest or sleep or anything. I probably couldn't because Dash was with me. I look at her. She was a cute little ball on my mat. I hope my mat won't stain her coat. Having waited 20 minutes, I feel rustling in my bed. Startled, I get up. It was Rainbow Dash. She had secretly moved into my bed. I settle back in my bed. Immediately Dash grabs me and holds me tight in her sleep. Not knowing what to do again, I hug her back. I see her smile a little as I fall asleep.
I awoke up in the morning, alone.
I was hugging a pillow and I had drooled on it. I get out of my bed, and search around my home. No one but me. I have thought I was hallucinating. No, she WAS indeed here with me the whole time. She was too real to be fake. She had also left a small wing feather on my bed. I rush out the door, not listening to my stomach. I flew around Ponyville, looking far and wide for the mare I was with the whole night. My common sense coming back, I looked for her home. I knocked on her door. Silence. I knocked on the door again. Now she opens the door, surprised to see me. "Oh! You're here! Heh.... um... what are you doing... here?" She asks. "I was looking for you." I say, gasping with exhaustion.
"Mind if I come in?" She moves aside and I walk in. She sits and invites me to sit next to her. I do that and she starts to talk. "So,... about that kiss yesterday." We both blush. But she was more. "Does that mean we are dating?" I ask. She blushes even more. "I..." She stutters. "I... guess...?" If I didn't care of embarrassing myself, I would jump in the air and dance like an idiot. But instead I say three words and pass out. "I love you." When I wake, I am home again. I get up to my 'kitchen'. My kitchen has always been a mess. But not now. "Oh! You are awake. Sweet-pea." says Rainbow, in my kitchen, preparing some supper. "Saying sweet-pea doesn't fit you." I tell her. "Well, I tried. Since you are my boyfriend, after all." "WHAT ?" I exclaim. "Really?" "Yeah, I love you too." She says, looking away to the food. "Come on, the food's ready." I walk over and eat without question. It was pretty good for her first time.
She and I are in the most GREATEST relationship ever! It has been 5 months after our first date and boy, have we improved. Every time we see each other, we would kiss each other on the cheek. If Rainbow was busy, she would blow me a kiss. Recently, Rainbow brought me to a party and showed me to her friends. They were pretty friendly. When it was done, which took a while, we went to a carnival nearby Ponyville. Due to the party, it was almost closing for the night. We had a fun time, and a romantic kiss in the usual place to kiss in: the Tunnel of Love.
On my way to my 'work' I passed by Rainbow and we parted ways. Still staring at her, I bump into Octavia, my 'boss' and we both fall. "Oh! I'm so sorry 'Tavi." I apologize as I hand over my hoof. She grabs it and I help her get up. "You know I don't like being called that." She says, dusting herself off. "Shall we get going?" I nod and we leave the street. At the abandoned old music museum on the outskirts of Ponyville, we settled in. Octavia had the place in perfect condition for as long as I had been working with her. In the almost empty room, I get up on my hind legs and put the strap of my guitar around my back. "Ready?" She asks. "When you are." I reply. She begins to tap her hoof to a beat and plays her Cello slowly. I begin to play my guitar to her beat, and began to sing.
"To feel her touch, its almost impossible to hold still."
"Maybe we go back to the way it was. Well, at least I can love you the same."
Octavia looks at me weird. I remembered I had joined the orchistra for the upcoming Grand Galloping Gala. I immediately close my mouth and just continued playing the guitar. After the session, Octavia comes up to me. I didn't know what to do. After that little 'outburst' I might be kicked out. She smirks as she whispers into my ear. "2 cupcakes from the Sugar Cube Corner and I might just forgive you."
