It is now 9pm,Sunset,Rainbow Dash and Applejack are waiting for Afton to pick them up at the school statue.

But while waiting,RD said,

"Ugh,where is Afton ? He told us to come here and he still didn't show up !"

"Be patient sugercube,I'm sure he is coming right now.",Aj said to her.

Then,Afton eventually arrived.He rolls down the car window,and said to them,

"Alright,I'm here.Sunset,you and Applejack sit in the back while Rainbow Dash will sit right next to me.

"But how are we suppose to sit in the back ? It's a two door car !",Sunset added.

"Just fold the right-front seat and then you'll get in it.",Afton said to her.

Afton unlocks the right car door so the girls can get in his car.Then,Sunset opens the car door and folds the right front seat and she and Aj gets in the back seat.

After that,Sunset folds back the seat to its original position and Rainbow Dash finally gets in and sits in the front seat.She closes the door and said to Afton,

"Alright,we're in ! Now let's do this !"

"Ok,I'm just about to start !",Afton replies.

He shifts his shift stick from 1st to 2nd gear before he steps on the pedal and go straight then turns left.

A minute later,they arrive at Canterlot City-Midtown area.Then,Afton turns left to a road ramp that leads to the famous Canterlot-Midtown Expressway.

While driving on the highway,he starts playing a song from his phone on the holder,and he starts steps on the gas pedal very hard and shift from 3th to 5th gear as the speedometer reaches from 60 mph to almost 190mph and the meter rpm reaches the redline of 7000 RPM.

But while he's driving at this speed,RD shouted,

"THIS IS AWESOME !"

However,for Applejack and Sunset,they are pretty frightened right now because of the speed that Afton is driving at.Then,AJ screamed,

"Slow down ! You're gonna kill us all !"

However,he didn't listen to her as he continues to step on the throttle harder,shifting 4th and 5th gear time to time,blowing through dozens of cars for 3 minutes and 34 seconds until the song stops.

Finally,the song ended and Afton slows down but still cruising at around 70mph.Then,RD said,

"That was awesome dude ! We probably almost reached 200mph !!!"

"And almost got us in a very deadly car accident,you should slow down !",Sunset said to him.

"That's why I only drive during night times.",Afton said to her.

"So how long have you been driving here ?",AJ asks him.

"Ever since I got this car from day one,I've been driving on it for 3 years.",he answers.

"No wonder why you're very experienced.",Sunset added.

"Also did you know that this highway was actually going to be located in New York City ?",Afton asks the girls.

"Um,no.",Rainbow answered.

"Really ? A highway ? Who would built it in the 'Big Apple' ?",Applejack said to him.

"Well,it almost happened.Back in the 1960s,a proposal was made for a highway system for NYC,but it would've demolish all the buildings where the highway would route,it also would've accompanied with large buildings and a central hub,which it's similar to Canterlot-Midtown Expressway.",Afton replies to AJ.

"But why it wasn't built ?",Sunset asks him.

"The people of NYC protested against this plan,and eventually it was scrapped after that.",He replies to her.

"So why was this highway was built here ?",RD asks him.

"That's a good question.After the plan for the highway was scrapped,Canterlot City was having the worst traffic jams in its history at the time,with one lasted for 8 hours.So eventually,a demand for a highway system came,and the architects who designed the expressway for NYC,redesign the highway for the city,and it was approved by the city hall.But the new design didn't have the huge triangles and some transit systems,but they did kept the residential towers and central hub.",Afton said to her.

"That explains why there are those huge buildings are on both sides of the highway !",RD said to him.

"And can I ask you for this,why did you come at CHS ?",AJ asks him.

"Originally,a month after my birthday,my father already died from a car accident on this highway,then I dropped out of my old school 2 months later after his death.Since then,I didn't even go to school for a year because I just wanna shut everyone out of my life,until I decided to go to CHS,just want to study and hoping to find an answer.",Afton said to her.

"Well,I guess the answer is Friendship.",Sunset added.

"I guess your right,all I needed is Friendship,but please,we're driving.Breath.",Afton replies.

He shifts to 4th gear and then the exhaust shoot out a blue flame,and increase the speed to 150mph as he steps harder on the throttle.They continue to cruise on the highway for 1 hour,and even made some drifts at some corners,but it almost led Applejack to passed out but Afton eventually sent the 3 girls home around 10:30pm.

No joke,NYC almost had a highway for itself,you can search on Google for Mid-Manhattan Expressway,you'll know how close it is for approval,it would've been left thousands of people homeless,just for a highway system,but it's still not very outrageous compare to William Zeckendorf's Manhattan Airport,it would've covered 144 city blocks,more than the expressway.
