In the living room, the three mares sat on a large couch while Feather was sitting on the couch across from their's. All three of the mares showed expressions of guilt, embarrassment, and fear as Feather was giving a cold look at the mares for what had happened last night.

"So, who would like to go first?" Feather asked. Swoon made a deep sigh and she started speaking.

"Look, you know that Granny Curly was the previous CEO of the Curly Locks Foundation, right?" Swoon asked.

"Yeah, the Curly Locks Foundation provided international shipments to certain countries. My grandmare even used her resources to provide enough resources to third-world countries that needed it." Feather explained.

"That's true," Swoon confirmed. "But as your grandmare's company increased in profit and resources, corrupted corporations became threatened by your grandmare and attempted to shut her company down. Curly Locks didn't take it so likely and decided to defend herself and all of her employees in many ways."

"So those dog creatures from last night work for one of these corrupted companies?" Feather asked.

"My guess is that they were just hired thugs." Swoon replied. "They went after you since you inherited your grandmare's company." Feather felt a bit scared as he could still remember the feeling of getting kidnapped.

"Try not to worry, Feather." Dear added. "Those canine ruffians were taken care of thanks to your grandmare's special security units."

"Those ponies wearing the black suits?" Feather asked.

"Yeah, the security ponies were specially trained by your grandmare to handle unwanted guests." Fond answered. "Since your grandmare have helped the security ponies so much, they have a strong sense of loyalty towards you."

"But what about you three?" Feather asked. "How were you able to do those things from last night? Did my grandmare train you?" There was a moment of silent as the mares tried to think of an answer.

"Throughout Curly Locks' years, she had met and helped many creatures who need it. That includes us." Swoon said as she continued. "Do you remember when we said that your grandmare took us in and we became the best of ourselves?"
Feather nodded in response. "Well, some of it is true. It's just that all three of us started off from a dark path." Dear and Fond nodded in agreement. "When I was young, my family was made up of thieves who steal to survive. I was more skilled with electronics and computers which allowed me to gather intel and hack into certain systems. My family was so proud of me for using my skills to their benefits. It wasn't until one of our heists went wrong and I ended up getting caught. My family didn't come for me because they didn't want to be caught as well. So, they left me as if I was baggage and I ended up in juvie."

"I'm so sorry to hear that," Feather said with sadness.

"It's alright, it wasn't until one day when your grandmare wanted to speak with me." Swoon smiled. "She told me that I shouldn't be rotting away behind bars. So she offered me my freedom in exchange for helping her help others. Since then, I regained my trust with a new family." Feather turned to Dear and Fond.

"So what about you two?" Feather asked.

"I didn't start off good as well." Fond said as she rubbed her neck. "I enjoyed fighting when I was a kid. I always pick fights with tough looking guys and came out victorious. I ended up taking part in underground cage fights where wealthy creatures would place bets to see who would win. As I kept fighting, I ended up getting pummeled to the ground from a lot of stronger opponents. I didn't care how much pain I was in as I was so obsessed with fighting. I was lucky that Granny Locks approached me and offered a fight with her. She ended up wiping the floor with me." Feather was surprised to hear that his grandmare was that strong despite her age. "Your grandmare told me that I could use my fighting skills to help others instead of causing more harm. She allowed me to stay with her in exchange for me leaving the cage matches for good."

"When I first met Granny Locks, I attempted to assassinate her." Dear spoke.

"What?!" Feather said in shock.

"I was raised by my mother who was actually a secret assassin. She and I often took jobs that involved 'taking care' of certain creatures. It was a few years ago when we were about to kill Granny Locks. Apparently, she somehow knew we were coming and was able to fight both me and my mother. She was able to waste our time before her security ponies arrived. My mother quickly escaped while I was caught. I felt heartbroken since it was my own mother who had left me. Luckily, Granny Locks saw some good in me and decided to let me stay with her in exchange of me quitting as an assassin. I immediately accepted as It's not like I wanted to go back to my mother not after what she did."

"Your grandmare brought all three of us together as we were capable of working as a team, and she was right." Swoon said. Feather showed a face of great confusion as he just listened to what he thought were the craziest backstories ever.

"I-I can't believe what I am hearing." Feather responded as he rubbed his temples.

"I know it's a lot to take in, but it's all true." Dear said. "Your grandmare kept this from you so you wouldn't get involved. Before she passed away, she gave us one last job: to protect you from dangerous threats." Feather said nothing as he got up and walked towards his room.

"Feather?" Swoon was about to follow Feather until Dear spoke.

"Let's give him some space, Swoon." Dear said.

"I don't blame him," Fond added. "he just got out of a kidnap and was told that three mares were his bodyguards. That would probably leave most creatures in a lot of shock."

Swoon looked at Feather's door and sighed in defeat.

Feather laid on his bed while he tried to take in what he had experienced.

'I can't believe Granny Locks kept her issues from me.' Feather thought. 'And now I have three dangerous mares watching over me? What were you thinking, Granny Locks.' Feather got up to open his bed drawer. He pulled out an opened envelope that contained a folded letter inside. Feather pulled out the letter to read what was inside:

Dear Feather Bangs,

How is my precious grandfoal? I just wanted to check up on you to see how you were doing. I'm doing fine. I'm currently in a hospital for a routine checkup. I have to stay overnight because the doctors just wanted to make sure that I was completely alright before I return home. You don't need to drop everything to come and visit me. I don't want you to worry as you probably have other things you need to take care of. Perhaps you can visit me once I'm out of the hospital. I really want to see how handsome my grandfoal has become. I'll let you know when I'm checked out so you can be ready to visit. I still kept your room the way you left it.

Sincerely,
Your Grandmare: Curly Locks

Feather remembered receiving this letter a few weeks before his grandmare passed away. This was practically the last words Feather's grandmare had spoken to Feather. Feather reread the letter again and wasn't sure if this was the same old mare who had raised him like a son. He decided to let it go and slept for the night.

The next morning came and the girls were busy doing their own thing in the living room. Swoon was typing on her laptop, Fond was doing some yoga on a mat, and Dear was reading a book while on the couch. Feather exited the hallway which caught the mares' attention.

"Morning, girls." Feather said with a nervous voice. The girls approached Feather so they stood in front of him.

"How was your sleep, Feather?" Swoon asked politely.

"It was fine, despite what happened last night." Feather responded. All four of the ponies stayed silent for some time. The girls had no idea what Feather will do after what he had just experienced. Not to mention that Feather now knew the real history of each of the girls. Feather was the first to break the ice. "Listen, I've done some thinking about what you three have told me. Although I felt a bit betrayed that she didn't tell me of any of this, that doesn't mean I should let her legacy end." The girls looked at Feather with surprise. "I now understand that my Granny Locks only did what she had to do to protect her company as she treated its' employees like her family. There is no way I would let the company go under just because of her white lies. I'm going to need the help of you three as well since I'm the new CEO of the Curly Locks Foundation."

"Really!?" All three of the mares said while smiling.

"Of course," Feather responded. "My grandmare would hate me for throwing you girls out since she had taught you. Anyone who is close to my grandmare is okay in my book." Feather was suddenly pulled into a group hug with the mares.

"Thank you, Feather!" The mares said at once. Feather's face blushed as he could feel the mares' breasts rubbing against his chest. At that moment, Matilda entered through the front door to see Feather and the mares.

"My, looks like you four are getting along quite well." Matilda said while covering her mouth to prevent a giggle. Feather continued to blush as he was more embarrassed.
