It was like any other day in Ponyville fillies were running around playfully and the sky seemed bright and happy. This seemed like it was going to be a happy day Twilight thought as she walked through the streets of Ponyville
"this day is perfect, don't you think Spike?" Twilight asked as she marveled at the beauty of it all.
"it sure is Twilight" Spike said cheerfully walking with her.
The day went like any other day everyone cheerful and happy. There was peace and harmony throughout the day and when all went to sleep even the night seemed to be at peace with itself. Twilight stood awake looking at the midnight sky as the stars twinkled and some shot across the sky like arrows of light. One seemed different however, it seemed to be on fire as it traveled across the darkness and it seemed to be getting faster as it traveled almost as if it was falling from the sky. It fell from the sky and landed in the Everfree, the ground shook a bit before returning to normal and smoke was seen coming from the crash site.
"its probably a meteorite but I'll write to Celestia tomorrow" Twilight said shook but tired nevertheless.
-The next day-
Twilight woke to a crowd at the edge of the Everfree a group of Celestia's Solar Guard were stationed around the area obviously not letting anybody in. Twilight went downstairs in a hurry, when she left her house she was met by her friends also known as the Main 6.
"Whats going on girls" Twilight asked remembering the meteorite crashing to the ground.
"Celestia called us so we could check out the thing that crashed from the sky" Rainbow Dash said as they began their walk to the area where the guards were.
The crowd let the Elements of harmony through and they were met by both Princess Celestia and Luna.
"thank goodness your all here" Celestia said in a worried tone.
"Something crashed here and we don't know what it is, nobody who went in has came out and the forest doesn't keep a clear path" One soldier said pointing to the treacherous area that was the Everfree Forest.
"I want you 6 to go on a scouting mission into the forest, you'll be accompanied with a group of my solar guards. Please be careful" Celestia said while getting ready to let the main 6 and their small force of soldiers into the forest.
The group entered the forest and began the trek to the crash site, as they walked they began to smell a faint trace of iron and something awful in the air but it smelled fresh like it was recently made. The smell was beginning to worsen but the team soldiered on determined to reach the site. It wasn't too long till they finally reached the smoking hole where the object crashed.
"There it is" Pinkie said bouncing around it then returning to the group. "its like a metal egg" she said
The group was a little confused by that statement but they were all stunned when the smoke finally cleared and they saw it to be a pod of sorts. They decided to get the pod out of the area, they weren't attacked by any wild animals on their return trip at all. They put the pod in Canterlot where they went underground the only light illuminating the place came from grates or holes in the ceiling. It was put in what looked like an arena with a throne of sorts that held the pod upright.
"Are we going to open it?" Fluttershy squeaked scared what would be on the other side"
"yes we are going to open it" Celestia said although with some hesitation in her tone "we don't know if somepony could be trapped inside that thing"
"don't worry Elements, this area was designed to trap things of all shapes and sizes whatever is in there it won't escape easily" a pony replied toughly.
The group of guards approached the object finding a hatch at the side of the door, one pony used his spear to pull it open. The door opened and fog flowed out of it making the room a chilling cold temperature. When the fog cleared all they saw was a skeleton of a bipedal creature with a what looked like clothing for it, the coat looking clothing article had a weird emblem on it. It looked like an insignia of sorts bearing 3 colors, white, red and blue. The skeleton was holding a small canister that held a black liquid that seemed to be... moving like it was alive.
"what is it" Celestia said horrified at the moving thing in the canister
"I, I have no clue" Twilight said just as confused and horrified.
The thing began banging and the canister began to shatter and the thing broke through, it began to cover the skeleton like flesh reattaching itself to the bones of its user. the creature took a step out of the pod forming,
"A human" Twilight said still horrified at the walking mass of black in the shape of a person.
The creature looked down at the ponies standing at 8ft tall it had no facial features at all but it began speaking like its entire body was a mouth
"identify" the creature spoke in a weird voice that made all who heard it shudder.
"t-t-Twilight sparkle" she said scared at the tall figure who seemed as tall as Celestia herself.
"Identification unclear eradication protocol engaged" the creature said as a sword manifested from the creatures hand and it ran at the guards who were sliced apart by the creature.
It proceeded to walk towards the main 6 and Celestia who fired a bolt of magic at it. It sliced the bolt in half with its blade and kicked the Alicorn into the wall cracking it around the beaten princess. The group ran to get their fallen leader and escaped through the hallways breaking pillars so the creature couldn't escape from the room.
Chernobog watched as its targets got away but that didn't matter, this place seemed primitive and weak so the planets death wouldn't be that hard it got it's coat and clothing putting them over the body it had created. It walked to a small hatch inside the pod finding its helmet, it put it on and created a hammer. The walls gave way and it looked into the sun ready to commit its prime goal. Elimination of this planet.

They had made it out of the underground. Celestia the Main 6 and a guard made it out of that place before the creature could get to them.
"What was that thing" the guard exclaimed still horrified at the fact that it deflected magic, magic of all things!
"I don't know" Celestia replied "but I do know that it must be destroyed, summon the solar guards" she ordered and the guard ran off to sound the alarm
It seemed safe at the moment but that safety would last for a very short time as they could already hear banging from the inside of the cave as Chernobog was smashing his way through the walls of stone.
"How is it already so close" Twilight shrieked
"I don know but what I do know is that its gonna get one heck of a whoopin" Applejack said toughly
"Yeah lets beat this thing to a pulp" Rainbow Dash said enthusiastically.
The bangs were closer now and they could feel the stone cracking. They saw that the final door was already giving way small cracks appearing from the center of the giant slab of rock. Twilight thought of a plan to distract the creature while she devised a plan to open the playing field for the Solar Guard.
"Girls, keep it busy I have a plan for where we can lure it to" Twilight said. The group nodded and Twilight teleported away to alert Celestia and tell her of her plan.
"Ready girls" Applejack said getting ready for a fight.
"of course" Rainbow Dash said already in the air.
A loud boom and a cloud of dust signaled that the rock had gave way to the thing pursuing the group. From the Rubble emerged Chernobog a hammer and blade coming from its arms and wearing its clothing. Without saying anything it ran at them slashing at applejack who bucked it away sending it flying into a house but the creature seemed unfazed by the attack now holding what looked like a black metal stick but it made a loud bang and a scream erupted from the group.
"Fluttershy!" the group yelled as they saw a big mark with blood coming from it on her leg.
"You'll pay for that!" Rainbow yelled as she flew at super speeds towards the creature who had injured her best friend.
Chernobog ducked at the flying horse barreling towards them catching Rainbow Dash by her tail and slamming her to the ground and kicking her away, the shot landed with the weaker one who was now struggling to move. It holstered his gun and proceeded to walk towards its targets ready to kill as it had done before. They shot bolts of magic at it and all it did was deflect them easily. No attack seemed to strike fear into this creature, like it had no heart only an objective to kill that which it deemed a target.
"hurry girls follow me" Twilight said appearing back with them as they ran with her Chernobog following just behind them.
They ran to the train so they could get back to Ponyville. they got in and the train went back down the path getting faster as to avoid the thing chasing them. Their worries seemed to go away as they saw it getting farther away but they were not to rest yet as Chernobog was now running towards them with incredible speeds and he seemed to be getting closer by the second. A magic bolt blew it off the rails and sent it tumbling down the hill. They made it down to the hills and there waiting for them were the solar and lunar guard lead by Luna and Celestia.
"We shall fight here and we shall win" Luna said readying her forces for battle.
"Yes sister and harmony will be restored" Celestia said.
They were both covered in their armor and its power. There were cheers and yells of war for the oncoming battle, the army of the sun and moon vs a one man army of death. Fire could be seen in the distance as sadly they saw that small villages were already targets of the monster and its weapons. From the distance they saw it the brown tattered coat and crimson helmet of the creature who could best the princesses... Chernobog.
"Unicorns, Fire!" The sisters yelled as bolts of magic flew from the horns of the unicorn soldiers and straight towards the thing that had already killed those in its path. When the smoke cleared it still stood its helmet and coat badly destroyed but that didn't stop the creature. it took off the smoking coat and ran towards them earth ponies and Pegasus alike charged at him full force yet their numbers dropped fast as the blades from the creatures body began to grow and kill all who met its touch.
"we have no choice" Celestia said "Twilight use the elements of harmony on it" Twilight nodded and assembled the 6 bearers who began to channel the power of friendship and shot it at the creature.
When the dust cleared all that remained was the stone figure of death still in a position to kill. The ponies sighed a breath of relief but all of their faces began to show signs of fear as the stone began to crack and black liquid poured from the eyes of the creature. The statue exploded and all that was there was an iron skeleton and an black liquid at the base of it.
"you have failed" the liquid spoke and it took shape around the skeleton. That was the day that Equestria fell.
Legends say that the survivors went underground to hide from the monstrosity that walked the lands of the once peaceful Equestria. There's a rumor of a cave near the ruins of Canterlot city with writings of the surviving ponies who are now supposedly underground. One piece of writing is some advice you should follow if you ever come to this wasteland alone or in numbers
"All who find this message beware, beware of the one made of black, beware the creature who turned the world to ash while all rot to bones and ash. It walks the land taking all who cross its path, if you hear its groan... hide and pray it does not find you. Beware the one who ended the world's land, beware Chernobogs wrath.
