"Brightburn will destroy everything if we don't stop him!", Sunset said. She sat on the mattress of her demolished bed.

"Well, at least we're alive now. And Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash aren't brainwashed anymore", Twilight said.

"Yeah. That wasn't pretty", Pony Rainbow Dash replied.

"I can't believe he brainwashed us!", Pony Pinkie Pie added.

"I guess you pony types aren't the brightest apples in the orchard", Human Applejack said.

"Hey!", Pony Applejack replied.

"No, no, she's got a point", Pony Rarity said.

"What are we gonna do?", Human Fluttershy asked.

"What we always do! Save the day, or in the case, the universe!", Human Rainbow Dash answered.

"I agree!", Human Rarity added.

"Let's hope we can win, though", Sci-Twi said.

"Oh, my", Pony Fluttershy said.

"Ladies, it's time to prepare for war!", Human Pinkie Pie said. "Follow me." The thirteen heroes went to the Sweet Shoppe and followed Human Pinkie to a secret compartment, which had thirteen suits of armor made out of the same material as Brightburn's vessel.

It took a while, but the heroes outfitted themselves with the impenetrable armor. "To Brightburn, Kansas!", Human Pinkie shouted.

In Brightburn...

The Breyer residence was completely obliterated, with remains of a passenger jet scattered throughout the site. Sci-Twi noticed Brightburn's emblem on a sheet of metal. "This was Brightburn's doing", she said.

"Yeah, no shit", Twilight replied.

"Where's that little shit, anyways?", Sunset asked.

"Well, he said, and I quote, 'Since you five won't be able to stop me, I'll tell you my plan. Equestria is already cleansed of its defenders. Now it's Earth's turn. Once you girls are dead, my alien army will spread across the cosmos... and I will be a GOD!', so he's probably billions of miles away from here", Human Rainbow Dash said.

"He's going to forge a massive army of aliens to conquer the entire universe", Human Applejack added. "We're running out of time." Sunset remembered what she saw when she read Brightburn's mind.

"Breaking news at this hour. A passenger jet has crashed in the small town of Brightburn, Kansas. Details are still coming in, but there are believed to be no survivors among the 268 passengers on board. Investigators are not yet sure what caused the plane to drop suddenly from the sky and crash into this small family farm. Among the reported dead are the residents of the farmhouse, Kyle and Tori Breyer. They are survived by their 12-year-old son, Brandon", a news reporter said. Brandon was innocently sitting in the back of an ambulance, eating a cookie. No one realized that the cause of the sudden plane crash was the 12-year-old boy. However, there was one thing on his mind: world destruction. Eventually, he walked off, put on his new costume, and flew off. As days progressed, more and more of the world felt the wrath of Brandon Breyer.

"World destruction. Since Brightburn finished that goal, his next objective is universal takeover", Sunset said.

Meanwhile, in the vastness of space...

Brightburn had found his home planet. He told everyone that his father, who was the emperor of the planet, had died. Hundreds of humanoid aliens shrieked in despair. "Fear not, my fellow brethren! There is a planet called Earth that has defenders... including the one who murdered my father. That's where we'll begin our universal reign! I will make sure that Deathday shall be avenged, and the entire universe will fear me: Brightburn!", Brightburn bellowed. "Yychhagaro larum ghhol! Yychhagaro larum ghhol! Yychhagaro larum ghhol! Yychhagaro larum ghhol!"

"Yychhagaro larum ghhol!", the army repeated.

"Let's get to work", Brightburn said.

One week later...

Brightburn's army was ready to mobilize. Several warships took to the air and flew at light-speed towards Earth. Brightburn flew at the front to guide the army, even though his small figure was tough to follow.

On Earth, the Mane Six and the Equestria Girls stood tall and ready for battle. Multiple portals appeared in the air, but it took a while for the warships to go through. Brightburn landed in front of his adversaries. "Ah. If it isn't my old friends", the supervillain said. "Do you honestly think that puny armor can save you?" He punched Twilight, only to cry out in pain. "What?! Impossible! How could you fuckers find so much of this material?"

"Brightburn, Brightburn, Brightburn", Human Pinkie taunted. "You don't know me very well. I found out that this material is your only weakness, so after collecting the material from Applejack's barn, it was only a matter of time before Sci-Twi was able to copy the chemical elements and create thirteen suits of armor!"

"Damn it! No matter. The universe will still bow to me, and there's nothing you can do about it!", Brightburn replied.

He fought the team, but thanks to the armor, Brightburn was no match for the young heroes. "Don't you remember?", Brightburn asked.

Multiple warships landed on the ground in front of the Equestria Girls and the Mane Six. Humanoid alien super-soldiers walked out with guns and wearing armor. There were basic foot soldiers, knights, cavalrymen, you name it, he got it. "You mismatched meddling miscreants can't win this... what am I saying? It's just like last time. You will all bow before me, or suffer gory deaths", Brightburn monologued.

"Oh, shit-fuck", Pony Pinkie said. There were 40 warships, each carrying 25 soldiers, meaning there were 1,000 soldiers on Earth alone.

"This is only 0.1% of my army!", Brightburn said. "And the best part is they are immortal! Invincible! Indestructible! Unstoppable! Completely vicious! It's time to finally begin what I should've started 12 years ago: TAKE THE UNIVERSE! SOLDIERS, KILL!" The 1,000 soldiers all aimed their weapons at the heroes, who all assumed battle stances.

However, the soldiers went off in different directions, completely avoiding the heroes. A Chramine, a Shrouded Nerscylla, and a Rajang approached the heroes. "I already know that you meddling girls can kill my soldiers, so these beasts should keep you busy!", Brightburn said as he flew off. "Hey, guys, wait up!"

"Oh, shit!", Sunset said. "I know these monsters! They're from Monster Hunter, but how could Brightburn summon these massive beasts?! Anyways, we should focus on the Shrouded Nerscylla (or Corpse Spider) first, mainly because spiders are bitch-asses. It is very similar to its common counterpart; however, it wears a Khezu skin rather than a Gypceros skin. Its back spikes are also bright-yellow in color, indicating their paralysis attribute. Its different ability likely comes from its diet of the Khezu, just like how the common Nerscylla can secrete poison due to feeding on Gypceros. Shrouded Nerscylla can inflict paralysis with its back spikes and claws, and seems to demonstrate a mastery of web traversal, able to change direction mid-air by swinging on a different thread." As if on cue, the Shrouded Nerscylla paralyzed and webbed up Twilight. It attempted to inject poison, but the armor prevented it.

"English, Sunset!", Sci-Twi said.

"It's a murderous beast that looks like a spider. It's weak to ice and fire", Sunset replied.

"Girls, activate your flamethrowers!", Human Pinkie commanded. The heroes all activated their flamethrowers, and the Shrouded Nerscylla was eventually no more. Twilight was free.

"Alright, next up is the Chramine (or Thunder Sand Bird)!", Sunset said. "Chramine is a Bird Wyvern that is highly similar to Gypceros but also has differences. Some of these differences are crimson red hair standing on its head instead of the crest of Gypceros, a different coloration, and a hard shell much like Yian Kut-Ku. Chramine can secrete mucus that it uses frequently in battle and this mucus causes an explosion. Chramine can also cause puddles of this mucus that take time to explode. Chramine can either blow wind by using its wings to push these puddles or screech to make them explode. Chramine can cause multiple explosions by putting its beak in the ground, combining its mucus with sand, causing a massive reaction between the two." As if on cue, the Chramine attacked Twilight with its mucus attack, causing damage.

"Why me?!", Twilight asked.

"Again, English, Sunset!", Sci-Twi said.

"It's a dragon-like bird that's weak to water and ice!", Sunset explained.

"Water guns!", Human Pinkie commanded.

It took a SUPER LONG TIME, but the Chramine was ultimately destroyed. "Finally, the Rajang (or Gold Lion)!", Sunset said. "Rajang is extremely violent, unrelenting and ultra-aggresive, and it's intensely territorial as well. The Rajang's most notable attack is its ability to shoot electricity from its mouth, either as a blast or a beam. They're well known due to their combination of speed, aggression and power. They are also famed for their dramatic Rage Mode, in which much of the fur on their front body rises and becomes gold." The Rajang used electricity to cause massive damage to the heroes. "It's weak to ice!"

"That... actually makes sense!", Sci-Twi said. Sunset weakly took out an Icicle Bow and fired, dealing some heavy damage to the monster. Human Pinkie took out a Frozen Speartuna (don't ask) and stabbed the monster repeatedly. The rest of the girls all took out various ice weapons and used them to destroy the Rajang. The area around them was completely decimated after the fight with the Chramine. However, Brightburn had done worse. The monsters were finally destroyed, but Brightburn used them as a distraction. Still, the monsters needed to be destroyed or else more damage would have been caused. Brightburn approached the girls and saw the three massive corpses.

"Impressive. I didn't think you girls could destroy these monsters. Still, the day of reckoning is here", Brightburn said. "My alien army will spread across the universe, and it will be mine to rule." He flew upwards and left the atmosphere.

The universe was in ruin. Brightburn's universal reign was going smoothly. He played a song on his phone and amplified the sound so the entire universe could hear it.

The army of a million aliens all heard the tune of their leader and found him several hundred miles above Earth. "My army. I trust you all did your assigned tasks. There's one final planet that must be taken: Earth", Brightburn said. "Those superheroes can't take down my entire army!" His army descended towards the aforementioned planet. "It's time to take the world!"

The Mane Six and the Equestria Girls all stood their ground as they faced the army descending towards Earth. Brightburn landed in front of the heroes. "This is 100% of my army! You can't stop me, so join me or die!", Brightburn said.

"This is our universe, and we'll protect it with our dying breath!", Sunset said.

"The universe is now a desolate wasteland! The only way to restore it is to kill me, but that's impossible with my army having my back!", Brightburn replied with a maniacal laugh. Hundreds of warships filled the air. A total of 1,000,000 humanoid alien super-soldiers surrounded the Equestria Girls and the Mane Six. "Now, DIE!"

"Don't worry, girls! We prepared for this!", Human Pinkie said. The heroes all took out various fire-based, water-based, and lightning-based weapons, including (but not limited to) flamethrowers, water guns, and lightning whips. Brightburn was the only one to be immune to these weapons, which would explain why he hired 1,000,000 soldiers (the warships were completely automatic). The fight began, and while the foot soldiers were easy to kill, the archers were more challenging, the knights had armor, the cavalrymen were twice as strong as the average knight, and the warships were just too much.

One by one, soldiers fell. After 5 hours, 250,000 soldiers remained. Still, the girls persisted. Brightburn flew off and hid on top of the only warship remaining. "These soldiers are incompetent! They can take down entire civilizations, destroy galaxies, but they can't fight a baker's dozen superheroes! THOSE GIRLS AREN'T EVEN FROM MY WORLD!", Brightburn angrily said. He then went into the warship and activated manual controls. "How do you like THIS, HUH?! FEEL MY WRATH!" He crashed into the battlefield, completely missing the heroes. "SHIIIIIIIIIIT!" The warship exploded on impact, killing several soldiers in the blast radius, leaving 100,000 soldiers remaining.

"Well, that was pretty funny", Pony Pinkie quipped. The battle resumed, and the dwindling number of soldiers were no match for the heroes. After 3 more hours, only 20 foot soldiers remained. However, they ran off in different directions.

"After them!", Human Rainbow Dash shouted. She killed 6 soldiers right away, but a seventh one ambushed her. Sunset Shimmer killed him, however, leaving 13 soldiers remaining.

"We need to spread out. There's 13 of us and 13 of them", Sci-Twi said. They went off in different directions, while at the crash site, a hand broke through the rubble.

After the 13 remaining soldiers were killed, the heroes went to the crash site. They dug through the rubble, but Brightburn was nowhere to be found. "Where is that little shit?!", Sunset asked.

"I'm... right... here!", an angered Brightburn answered. He was holding a syringe. "You girls could've joined me, but I see we're on opposite sides of the board! All I wanted was to take the world, but I guess that wish is already granted. Well... the universe will soon see that I am a not a simple kid!"

"Now... the entire universe will bow to me!", Brightburn screamed. He injected himself with the syringe, and he started to convulse. Wings sprouted from his back. His skin turned blue. "Prepare to meet your gory ends!" His size increased dramatically as he roared. "I... am... REBORN!" Brightburn had transformed into a Xeno'jiiva.

"Sunset, what the fuck is that?!", Sci-Twi asked.

"A Xeno'jiiva!", Sunset replied. "A large dragon with an otherworldly appearance! It has two eyes and six orange sensory organs running up the length of its horns! Parts of its body glow ethereal blue, making its skin appear crystalline and translucent! Its wings are frayed at the edge of the membrane and are grayish-blue in color! When enraged, its torso glows a hot red and orange!"

"Clever girl", Brightburn said telepathically in a deep voice. "This is my final form!"

"Actually, upon maturing, and molting its skin countless times, Xeno'jiiva will undergo a change that will turn it into a Safi'jiiva", Sunset corrected.

"SHUT UP!", Brightburn screamed as he breathed hot flames. The girls ran off and hid behind a crashed warship.

"Sunset, tell us EVERYTHING you know about this thing!", Sci-Twi said.

"Xeno'jiiva utilizes a bright blue flame-like energy. It fires these flames off in short bursts of 3 or as a single concentrated beam of energy. When enraged it releases more of these flames from various parts of its body as well as causing small plumes of blue flame to shoot up from the ground. These ground explosions visibly have Dragon Element sparks within and inflict Dragonblight. While in this enraged state its body also visibly generates a large amount of heat, heating up the areas it walks over. These heated up areas can inflict Fireblight. Most of its laser-like attacks can heat up the ground in a similar fashion. It can also take into the air while bombarding the area with its flames. Xeno'jiiva's head, wings and each of its front claws can be wounded. Its tail can also be severed. Xeno'jiiva is very aggressive from the instant it hatches from its cocoon and many of its attacks do massive amounts of damage. However, it is quite careless and clumsy with its attacks as it can sometimes trip in the holes it creates with its fire beam attack. It seems to rely more on trampling its enemy rather than use its elemental attacks. However as time progresses in the battle it becomes more and more proficient in using its body and its powers, shooting small bursts of its beam attacks in multiple directions and using the beam to heat up the ground for explosive attacks. Xeno'jiiva is immune both to being mounted and to being put to sleep. It is, however, susceptible to every other Status Effect, being weakest to Poison", Sunset explained.

"So, he's stronger but clumsier, and we can hit him with everything we've got since he's a dragon now. Additionally, we shouldn't be affected by Fireblight and Dragonblight because of our armor", Sci-Twi said.

"Yes", Sunset confirmed.

"Girls... we have a dragon to slay!", Pony Rainbow Dash said.

"Aw, yeah!", Human Rainbow Dash cheered.

"This is our universe!", Pony Rarity said.

"We can win this fight!", Human Rarity assured herself.

"This is gonna be fun!", Pony Pinkie said.

"I agree!", Human Pinkie added.

"I don't think I'm ready for this...", Pony Fluttershy said.

"Don't worry. We have your back", Human Fluttershy assured her pony counterpart.

"That kid just yee'd his last haw!", Pony Applejack said.

"Let's fuck him up!", Human Applejack shouted.

"For the universe!", Twilight said.

"For everyone!", Sci-Twi added.

"It's just like Monster Hunter: World!", Sunset said. "It's finally time... we need to finish Brightburn off once and for all! For the universe and its inhabitants! CHARGE!!!!!!!!!!"

The battle was long and hard, but the Xeno'jiiva was clearly a monster you don't wanna mess with. The only hero who wasn't knocked out was Sunset, who survived thanks to her knowledge of the monster. Still, Brightburn was invincible. His invincibility wasn't stripped away. "Ha! Only one left! You can't destroy me!", Brightburn cackled. "It's hopeless!"

"No! I won't allow the universe to be taken over by a 12-year-old!", Sunset said. She coated a sword blade with poison and leaped at the monster. She jammed the blade and threw it at the monster's chest, taking away Brightburn's invincibility and dealing massive damage. She took out a Rathalos Flamesword and striked Brightburn multiple times. She then took out a Wyvern Blade "Bloom" and striked Brightburn multiple times. She then took out a Unprecedented Rath and stabbed Brightburn multiple times. She then took out a Uranus Herald and fired 90 fire arrows, making Brightburn weaker. However, Brightburn destroyed Sunset's fire weapons.

"Where's your firepower now?!", Brightburn roared. Sunset, however, took out two Guild Knight Sabers. Brightburn breathed blue fire, but Sunset blocked the flames with the sabers, which were surprisingly effective against the flames. She threw them, and they landed in Brightburn's eyes, blinding him. She took out the Master Odyssey. The shield protected her as she repeatedly stabbed Brightburn with the sword. However, a roar sent Sunset flying, disarming her. Fortunately, she had something stronger: the Ceadeus Regalia. The shield protected her as she repeatedly stabbed Brightburn with the sword, this time dealing more damage. She took out a Prayerful Victoria and fired 90 water arrows. She then took out a Leviathan Gunlance and repeatedly stabbed Brightburn, making him weaker.

"This ends today!", Sunset screamed. She took out an Emperor Thundersword and decapitated the monster, finally killing Brightburn. The corpse took on a fiery glow, which then engulfed the monster in flames. The universe began to revert back to as it should be. Sunset's allies regained consciousness.

"Sunset?", Sci-Twi asked. "Did we... win?"

"Yeah. He's gone", Sunset answered. Sci-Twi hugged her friend as the others approached Sunset.

At the portal...

The Mane Six went back to Equestria, which was back to normal and no longer an apocalyptic wasteland. "Thank you... for everything", Sunset said.

"You're welcome", Twilight answered as she was the last to go.

One year later...

The Equestria Girls had graduated high school. Fortunately, they were all going to the same college. However, despite the fact that it's been one year since the death of Brightburn, something still felt... off. It was as if... someone was still remembering Brightburn. It didn't help that every day since the final showdown, the Equestria Girls and the Mane Six have been having nightmares. Suddenly, someone else started leaving Brightburn symbols around Canterlot High.

At Sunset's house...

"If Brightburn is still alive, then we have to stop him!", Human Pinkie said.

"This isn't Brightburn, it's... someone else", Sunset said.

"Who could it be?", Sci-Twi asked. Suddenly, the answer to Sci-Twi's question broke through the front door. "Darkcold?"

"That's right!", Caitlyn screamed. She extended a blade from her new armor, but Sunset grabbed her Emperor Thundersword and the two clashed blades. Sunset pushed Darkcold outside and the two girls dueled.

"Why are you doing this?! I thought we were allies!", Sunset asked.

"You... killed... my boyfriend!", Darkcold screamed.

"Then we're on opposite sides of the game board", Sunset replied. She activated the Emperor Thundersword's electrical attachments to electrocute Darkcold, weakening the armor. "Oh, thank you, Twilight!" She punched Darkcold, sending her flying backwards. Sunset then pummeled her opponent, making the armor weaker. Sunset then used her Emperor Thundersword to destroy the armor completely. She held Caitlyn at swordpoint. "Enough. I don't want to kill you. Brightburn is gone, and there's nothing you can do about it."

"Friendship won't work on me", Caitlyn said. She grabbed Sunset's Emperor Thundersword and was about to decapitate Sunset, but Sci-Twi's telekinesis stopped Caitlyn. "What?!" Sci-Twi disarmed Caitlyn, and Sunset grabbed her Emperor Thundersword.

"Kill her! If Brightburn is still lingering in Caitlyn's mind, then the nightmares will never end!", Sci-Twi revealed. Sunset then executed Caitlyn, ending Brightburn's posthumous reign of terror.

In Equestria...

Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle,

It's finally over. The nightmares have ended. Caitlyn Connor wanted revenge on us for killing her boyfriend. But now, Brightburn's memory is completely gone. I hope you and your friends are staying safe. Brightburn's plague won't infect anyone else. And that's a promise.

Twilight read the letter from Sunset with a smile. The universe has faced multiple extraterrestrial threats, but the most vicious one of them all was Brandon Breyer, also known as Brightburn. Fortunately, his reign of terror was finally over. The residents of the universe could rest easy knowing that Brightburn was finally extinguished from reality. Very few people may see him as a good guy, but everyone else knows that he is... a bad guy.
