This was written by my Special SomePony. I do not approve, nor do I like foalcon. My Special SomePony wanted me to write this, and when I said "NO!!!" she took it upon herself to write it claiming if she didn't, who would? Any comments will be from my Special SomePony; AKA SSP. Good behavior and special rewards Staying after class As Ms. Cheerilee prepared for the day’s classwork, students poured in from the outside, ready to learn. All except one, that is. Scootaloo, late as always wasn’t seen just yet, and Ms. Cheerilee noticed this as she called attendance. “Applebloom?” “Here” “Sweetie Belle?” “Present.” “Scootaloo? … Scootaloo?! … tardy again…” she claimed in disapproval. Suddenly, the door to the right of the classroom opened. The purple, untidy maned filly stumbled in while singing some smug song. “Too cool, for school!” she sang as she climbed into her seat in the far back. The teacher, appalled by the sentence asked the juvenile filly “And why do you think you’re too cool for school?” The filly rolled her eyes in annoyance without responding. Ms. Cheerilee decided to simply continue with the day’s teachings as if nothing happened and just take points off accordingly to how the orange Pegasus behaved. Throughout the day, Scootaloo talked during class, pulled pranks of the other students and fell asleep constantly. It began to drive the purple pony instructor nuts as today seemed to be her worst day ever. Sure, there had been other moments when the young Pegasus annoyed her, but today was horrible. Finally, when a paper airplane flew right into Ms. Cheerilee’s mane, it pushed her over the edge. Gripping the silly thing with her hoof, she walked up to the snickering Pegasus and slammed it on her desk. “You think this is funny?!” the teacher asked rhetorically. “You are to stay after class today, Scootaloo. I’ll figure out your punishment then.” As the day pressed on, Scootaloo grew increasingly filled with dread, not knowing what to expect after class. As the students left, Scootaloo attempted to sneak out in the crowd, but was foiled by the teacher’s keen eye sight. “And where do you think you’re going?” Ms. Cheerilee asked. Scootaloo turned around and returned to one of the front desks and waited to hear the punishment she would receive. “You know,” Ms. Cheerilee began. “I had more hope for you. Now, I understand that you think that being cool is more important than your education, but it’s not.” Scootaloo looked into the teachers wise eyes knowing she could have behaved more respectfully. “I think that if you give up now, your life won’t be fun and fair on you. Do you understand? Just look at the mare you idolize.” Scootaloo attempted to defend Rainbow Dash by claiming “But, she’s awesome! She can do a sonic rainboom, and, and-” she was then cut off by her teacher saying “She is a mere weather pony! I understand she may seem like a big shot and a hero, but you have to remember, lots of Pegasus’s have this job. You need to get your head out of the clouds and back down to solid ground. Promise me you’ll try harder.” The purple maned mare sunk her head as she said “Okay… I guess.” Ms. Cheerilee smiled finally and said “Now as for your punishment…” Scootaloo gulped and prepared for the worst. “You are to write me… a one thousand word essay on why school is important, and it must be written in this room and finished before sundown. Is that clear?” Scootaloo face hoofed as she heard this. “Yes ma’am…” she said in anguish knowing full well she would be here for the rest of the day. As time passed by, the purple teacher read some books while observing the student’s work every so often. Scootaloo was bored out of her mind. All she wrote was school this and school that. By the time she finished, her mouth was so tired from writing; she couldn’t even form a sentence. As Ms. Cheerilee read over it, she gave the work of literature critical opinions. “Well… first of all, no names are capitalized, there are missing periods, no indents after each paragraph and to top it all off… you’re short at least two hundred words. And yes, to answer your question, I did count how many words you wrote.” Scootaloos jaw dropped in disbelief. How did she read it, and be able to tell how many words there was? she thought. Regardless of the lack of further effort, Scootaloo was relieved of the punishment by sunset. Just before leaving, the teacher stopped her by saying “Scoot…” The purple maned filly turned around with a puzzled face. “You… should try and put more diligence into your work. Something that would help is showing up either on time, or even a little early. Do you think you can do this, for me at least?” Scootaloo bowed her head once more and agreed by shaking it yes. The next day, she was the first in the door, thirty minutes early to be exact. As she entered, the purple teacher was stunned to see her of all ponies first thing. “Well… this is a surprise!” Ms. Cheerilee said while grinning at the orange Pegasus. As Scootaloo approached, the teacher noticed something in her mouth. As she set it down on her desk, Ms. Cheerilee was stunned to see Scootaloo had brought an apple in as a special gift. “You… got me an apple?” she asked with excitement. It was the first time in a few years of teaching she received a gift like this, though it was still corny, it was the act of doing it that counted. Scootaloo sat in her desk and said “Something you said… kinda stuck in my head. I was being stupid… I’m sorry, honest.” The teacher almost felt a tear in her eye as she heard this. “Ah, well… it’s good that you’re going to turn a new leaf. Just be good, stay awake and you’ll do just fine.” Instead of sitting in the back, the purple maned filly sat in the desk closest to Ms. Cheerilee. The day sluggishly passed, and Scootaloo felt herself slipping into dreamland a few times only to catch herself at the last moment and snap out of the hallucinogenic trance. Once the day finally ended, Ms. Cheerilee gave Scootaloo a smile before she left, but of course, Scootaloo had a compliment to give to the teacher. As she approached her desk, Ms. Cheerilee looked down to see the blushing cheeked Scootaloo looking anxious to say something. “Yes, scoot?” the teacher asked. Scootaloo gulped and said “I… wanted to uh… tell you… umm.” “Well, go on… What is it?” The Pegasus’s eyes avoided contact as she claimed “Never mind…” Walking away from the desk, she felt like if she didn’t say this now, she would regret it, so the purple maned filly whirled herself around and shot out the compliment. “I THINK YOUR BEAUTIFUL MS. CHEERILEE!!!” Once the words left her lips, she darted out the door leaving the teacher completely shocked. Where did that come from? the teacher asked herself in bafflement.
