Road Trip Adventure

When it stopped raining, it started to get foggy. Sunset Shimmer couldn't see where she was driving. Starlight Glimmer was worried, as she sat in the passenger seat.

"Sunset, do you know where we are?" She asked nervously.

"I'm not sure, Starlight." Said Sunset Shimmer. "There's gotta be a freeway around here."

Then there was trouble, the RV was slowing down and then it ran out of gas. Sunset couldn't drive on.

"Oh, no!" She cried. "We're out of gas, and we're in the middle of nowhere!"

"Sunset, is everything alright?" Asked Sci-Twi.

"No, Twilight!" Said Sunset. "We're out of gas, and we're stuck!"

"Don't worry, I'm sure there's a gas station nearby." Said Sci-Twi.

But when the fog lifted, they were nowhere near a gas station. When Starlight looked down, she gasped in horror.

"Oh, no!" She cried.

"What's wrong, Starlight?" Asked Sci-Twi.

"That, is gonna be one big serious problem!" Said Starlight.

When Sci-Twi looked down from the window, she realized what Starlight had meant. They were stuck on a very high wooden bridge, and there was no turning back.

"Don't tell me we're stuck on a high narrow bridge with no turning back." Said Sunset.

"I'm afraid we are!" Said Sci-Twi.

When Sunset looked down from her left, she was worried.

"Starlight, why did you made me turn left in the junction?" She said.

"I'm sorry, Sunset!" Said Starlight innocently. "I thought you would turn left onto the freeway entry."

"I should've turned right!" Said Sunset. "Now we're stranded in the middle of a bridge that hasn't been used for a long time!"

Suddenly, they felt something move underneath them. It seamed as if the bridge was starting to collapse.

"What was that?" Asked Pinkie Pie.

"I think it was the bridge we're stuck on." Said Applejack.

"If the bridge collapses, we're gonna fall!" Cried Rarity.

"Twilight, what are we gonna do?" Said Fluttershy.

"I don't know, Fluttershy!" Said Princess Twilight. "We gotta get off this bridge somehow."

"I've got an idea!" Said Rainbow Dash. "I'll run to the nearest gas station and fetch a fuel can, so that way we're off!"

"Good idea, Rainbow!" Said Sci-Twi. "Please be back ASAP."

And with that, Rainbow Dash got out of the RV, and ran off to find the nearest gas station to fetch a fuel can.

"How long will she be gone for?" Asked Spike.

"I don't know, Spike." Said Sci-Twi. "I hope she comes back soon."

Then the bridge started to creak again, the girls were getting more worried.

"Applejack, can you push the RV across?" Asked Princess Twilight.

"I don't know about that, Twilight." Said Applejack. "If I push, the bridge might get even worse!"

"I do hope Rainbow returns with a fuel can." Said Fluttershy. "I don't like high bridges!"

"We know you don't like heights, Fluttershy." Said Princess Twilight. "But let's hope Rainbow gets back soon."

Rainbow Dash was running as fast as she could, holding a fuel can. She returned just in time, as her friends were happy to see her.

"Rainbow Dash!" They said.

"I've got the fuel can guys!" Said Rainbow.

"That's great, Rainbow." Said Sunset. "I'll go out and fill up the RV, and then we're outta here!"

So Sunset got off the RV to fill it up with gas, she was trying to be as quickly as possible while the bridge was slowly collapsing.

"Hurry Sunset!" Cried Starlight. "We haven't got much time!"

"I'm going as fast as I can!" Said Sunset, as the creaking on the bridge was getting a lot more worse.

"The bridge is collapsing, come on!" Called Starlight.

Once Sunset was finished filling up the RV, she hurried back in the driver seat. She dropped the fuel can on the wooden boards, as the liquid dropped onto them.

"Everyone, get in the front!" Said Sunset, when she got inside.

Then her friends all squeezed into the front as they found some chairs for them to sit down.

"Why do we all have to sit in the front, Sunset?" Asked Rainbow Dash who was sitting next to Sunset. "It's getting kinda squishy in here!"

"Calm down, Rainbow." Said Sunset. "I know this is insane, but it's the best I can do to get us outta here!"

Suddenly, Starlight looked out of the window from the passenger seat and was shocked. The flammable liquid dropped on the wooden bridge and the fire spread across it.

"THE BRIDGE IS ON FIRE!!!" She screamed.

"Let's get outta here!" Cried Sunset. "Everyone hold on!"

Sunset hit the accelerator as hard as she could and drove forward along the fiery bridge. All the girls screamed, as they drove through the flames reaching the other side just as the bridge collapsed.

"We made it!" Said Princess Twilight. "You got us off the bridge, Sunset!"

"Thanks, Twilight!" Said Sunset. "Now let's go home!"

The girls cheered for Sunset as she had saved their lives, and they eventually found the freeway entry and drove onto it. And when Sunset turned on the navigator, the girls were on their way home.

"I'm so glad you saved us!" Said Starlight. "I can't wait to go home again!"

"Me too, Starlight!" Said Princess Twilight. "Let's be happy Sunset saved us for once."

Sunset smiled at her pony friends, now the girls can enjoy a relaxing road trip to finish their summer vacation. After a few stops at gas stations, restaurants and car parks, the girls have made it back to Canterlot High as it was already night time when they returned.

"Alright everyone, we're back where we started!" Said Sunset.

When they all got off the RV, Rarity was shocked that it was covered in soot and ash.

"Why is my RV dirty?" She exclaimed.

"I think it was like that when were escaping the burning bridge." Said Rainbow Dash.

"Don't worry, Rarity." Said Pinkie Pie. "Well give it a wash next weekend!"

"I'm just glad we're home again!" Said Applejack.

"We'll miss you two when you've gone." Fluttershy said to Princess Twilight and Starlight. "Will you come back?"

"Don't worry, Fluttershy." Said Princess Twilight. "We'll come back here whenever we're free."

"Unless Sunset plans another vacation for us." Said Starlight, then all the girls laughed.

Before they left, Princess Twilight and Starlight gave Sunset one big final hug before returning to the pony world.

"Thank you for the road trip, Sunset!" Said Princess Twilight.

"That was the best vacation ever!" Said Starlight in agreement.

"I'm glad you two had a lot of fun." Said Sunset. "But now it's time for you to leave."

"But what about my giant teddy bear I won at the theme park?" Asked Starlight.

"Don't worry, I'll keep it safe in my apartment." Said Sunset.

"Thanks Sunset, you're a great friend." Said Starlight.

After hugging their friends, Princess Twilight and Starlight waved their goodbyes, and they went through the portal to return to their pony world together. It was very late when Rarity dropped off Sunset back at her apartment, she kept the giant teddy bear in her bedroom and looked at some photos that were taken on their vacation. Sunset was happy to have friends like Princess Twilight and Starlight Glimmer and hoped one day, they would come back soon.
