Chapter 1
In the magical realm of Equestria, Ponies and Pokemon live together; helping each other, playing with each other and bonding with each other. All throughout Equestria, Pokemon and Ponies are brought together in friendship.
But there was one pony... actually... not even a pony, who wasn't one of them.
My Little Kirin Chronicles: Friendship is Magic
Pidgey and Fletchlings were flying high above the capital of Equestria. Canterlot, home of the Princesses of Equestria; Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Both bring harmony to their land by Celestia raising the sun and Luna raising the moon each and everyday. The two had their own pokemon partners as well. Celestia had a pink cat like pokemon that was pink with a red orb in the center of its head while Luna had a black pokemon with several yellow rings on its ears, legs and tail.
The two sisters were happy with each other and their pokemon.
But this story isn't about them, let's go and see our main character shall we..?
Walking through the streets of Canterlot was a cream colored kirin with a red and orange toned mane and tail. Her scales on her hooves and back were bright yellow. Her name was Summer Blaze. Summer was the only kirin living in Canterlot. She used to live at the Peaks of Peril, far beyond the boarders of Equestria, until her village leader, Rain Shine, suggested that she go out and explore Equestria, secretly hoping she would try and make some friends.
You see... Summer.. isn't really interested in making friends. She was more interested in reading and studying magic rather than friends. Even looking at the happy relationships between the high-class Canterlot ponies and their pokemon didn't change Summer's idea on friendship.
Summer saw friendship as a waste of time, to be honest. Summer made it to her house, where she entered and locked the door behind her. Her living was pretty simple; just a couch with a table in front of it and a rug underneath it. There was a small chandelier hanging overhead. Summer went upstairs and entered her bedroom. Summer went to the small bookshelf and she pulled out a book named 'Advanced Unicorn Spells' Now I know you might be wondering, why Summer would be interested in learning about unicorn magic even thought she's not a unicorn?
Well the reason is that, unlike her kirin brethren who only used their magic to grow plants and other vegetation, Summer wanted to do more with her magic like the unicorns did; transfiguration, teleportation, shield spells and much more! She wanted to learn magic just like a unicorn. Placing the book on her bed, she climbed onto it and started to read the book when..
Knock Knock Knock...
"Huh?" Summer wasn't expecting anyone.. well maybe her parents but they would usually send a scroll before they came, so Summer could prepare. Climbing off of her bed and going downstairs to the door, Summer opened the door.... and saw nopony there? "Umm..." she look left and right and she didn't see anypony there. She looked down and only saw a large brown box that was taped shut. "I wasn't expecting a package?" Summer said, completely confused. Summer levitated the package and brought it inside, closing the door behind her. She placed the package on the table and removed the tape from it. Opening the box, she saw two eggs and a red... square like object.
One egg was brown with a white stripe in the center while the other one was white with a very dark brown stripe in the center. "Huh...? Weird... I didn't order any eggs... and certainly not these pokemon eggs, but I can't just put them back out into the streets, who knows what'll happen to them."
Summer knew that there were some ponies in Equestria that saw pokemon as a profit or a weapon; Pokemon smugglers, poachers and other bad guys who would treat pokemon horribly. Leaving the eggs outside would leave them vulnerable to anypony good or bad. So whether Summer wanted to or not, she only had one choice, "Sigh... looks like I'm keeping you two.. great." she grumbled with her ears back, not looking forward to this.

My Little Kirin Chronicles: Friendship is Magic
Two Days Later...
The eggs have been with Summer for two days now and ever since then Summer acted as a caretaker to the two eggs. She gently washed the two in warm water, wrapped the two eggs in blankets and slept, curled around the two eggs. As much as she wanted to dislike this, over the two days, she found herself.... a bit... happy. This was weird for her. Normally, she was happy reading her books and practicing her magic, so why was she happy with these two eggs? Summer just didn't have the answer to that question.
In the morning, Summer was rubbed her tail against the two eggs, warming them up. "I guess... taking care of these two isn't so bad..." Summer thought herself. Just then, the two eggs began to glow brightly and Summer carefully moved away from them. The eggs... were hatching. Summer watched as the two eggs broke and changed into two baby pokemon.
The brown egg turned into a brown puppy pokemon with bent ears that were tipped with dark brown. It also had dark brown paws with a white collar with some rocks included in it and it had a white tail with a large curl on the end and blue eyes.
The white eggs turned into a white fluffy sheep pokemon with two large braids that hung down from the sides of its head. It was dark chocolate with four little legs and a cute face.
Summer stared at the two and they blinked at her.
"Rooo?"
"Baaa....?"
"Um.... hi there." Summer greeted awkwardly, waving at the two of them. The brown puppy barked happily and nuzzled Summer's face while the sheep pokemon carefully walked over to her and sniffed her. "What are you two?" Summer looked at her bookshelf and she remembered she had a book with the complete list of pokemon, but before she could get the book,
"I see you've met your pokemon, huh?" an electronic like voice came.
"WAH!" Summer fell off of the bed in shock and the pokemon cried in worry, "I'm okay, but who said that?" Summer asked and then what came in front of her was the red square thing... with a face and a mouth?
"Um... what are you?" Summer asked, confused.
"I am Rotom Dex and I seen you've hatched these two pokemon. I'll gladly tell you who they are." Rotom Dex said and it was pointed at the brown puppy pokemon, "Rockruff, the Puppy Pokemon, a rock type. Rockruff train themselves by running around. When Rockruff is getting ready to evolve, it becomes more aggressive and tends to act more independent." and then Rotom Dex pointed at the white sheep pokemon, "Wooloo, the Sheep Pokemon, a Normal Type. Wooloo don't like conflict and when it needs to escape an enemy, it tends to roll away by curling up."
"Okay... so I hatched a Rockruff and a Wooloo, huh?" Summer stated. Rockruff and Wooloo were two of some pokemon that Summer liked along with a few others. Rockruff and Wooloo walked over to her and nuzzled her,
"Rooo..."
"Baaa..."
Summer heart fluttered a little at the two cute pokemon. Summer reached up and rubbed the two pokemon on their heads. "Hi there, I'm Summer Blaze." Rockruff wagged his tail and barked while Wooloo smiled and gave a 'baaa' happily. Summer gave them a small smile.
Outside Summers' house, there were two ponies staring at her through spyglasses. One pony was black as night with a bandanna on his head. He was an earth pony. He had a small scar on his right cheek and he had a white mane and tail that looked thick and rough. His companion was a unicorn stallion that was gray with a black mane and tail. He didn't look as roughed up as his companion but he did have a bandanna, only this one wasn't on his head, it was one his right foreleg. By their sides were two canine like pokemon. They were both black with a red underbelly and a very short tail and they had what looked like silver rings around their ankles and they had three ring on their back. They growled, seeing their target.
"So, Nightshade, when do we strike?" the companion asked, turning to his partner, who laughed, "We wait until the cover of night, Fang. That's when we strike. We'll get those two pokemon... and sell them for a profit, hahaha!"
That Night....
Summer Blaze, Rockruff, Wooloo and Rotom Dex were all sleeping together downstairs in the living room. Rockruff and Wooloo were on the ground underneath the table with Summer on the couch, knocked out.
The door knob quietly shook and opened, revealing Nightshade and Fang entering with their pokemon. Rockruff perked up and Wooloo did as well. They quietly peeked from underneath the table and saw the four intruders. "Rockruff! Hrrrr...!" Rockruff barked and growled at the two of them, waking up Summer and Rotom Dex. Summer screamed at the sight of the four intruders. "How did they get in here?!" Rotom Dex exclaimed in shock. Their pokemon growled at them, "What are they?!" Summer yelled.
Rotom Dex scanned them, "Houndour, the Dark Pokemon and Dark and Fire type. They make repeated eerie howls before dawn to call attention to their pack."
Nightshade and Fang knew they had to act, "Houndour, grab those pokemon!" Their Houndour charged forth but Rockruff and Wooloo leaped over them and Rockruff's tail shot out rocks covered in a white glow. it struck the Houndour and they cried in pain. "What was that?"
"That was Rock Throw!" Rotom Dex identified
"Houndour, Ember!" Nightshade and Fang ordered the the Houndour unleashed a flurry of flames. Wooloo scurried in front of Rockruff and curled up into a ball and it glowed orange for a moment.
"Wooloo used Defense Curl and it increased its defense!" Rotom Dex stated. Wooloo rolled over to the Houndour and bashed into them, sending them crashing into the wall. "Ugh!"
"Woah..." Summer gasped.
Rockruff then charged forth and lunged forth with its fangs covered in electricity. "Rockruff is using Thunder Fang! An electric type attack! Amazing!" Rockruff bit one Houndour, shocking it and making it cry in pain. Its companion growled and bashed Rockruff, "Arroooo..." Rockruff fell on the ground. "Rockruff!" Summer gasped in horror. But Rockruff got up and growled at the Houndour.
"Now Use Fire Spin..!" Nightshade and Fang ordered and the Houndour howled before they coated themselves in fire and charged forth. Rockruff and Wooloo cried out before Wooloo charged forth coated in electricity, "That's Wild Charge!" and Rockruff unleashed Rock Throw. The combination of the four attacks caused a large explosion which consumed the whole house and everyone in it.
The ponies and pokemon of Canterlot saw the explosion and were shock and horrified.
"Oh dear, what happened?"
"Isn't that Summer Blaze's house?"
"Somebody alert the Princess..!"
Soon, the ponies saw Rockruff and Wooloo dragging an unconscious Summer Blaze out from the wrecked house with Rotom Dex nearby. "Oh my goodness!" a mare and her husband rushed over and examined the poor kirin. "Poor dear.." the mare said.
"Arroo."
"Baa.." Rockruff and Wooloo nuzzled Summer Blaze, wanting her to wake up, as the smoke from her destroyed house rose into the night sky.
Summer Blaze began to wake up and her vision was blurry. She could make out something brown and something white and red before her vision cleared, "Ugh... Rockruff? Wooloo? Rotom Dex?"
"Summer, thank goodness you're alright." Rotom Dex said with joy. Rockruff and Wooloo cried happily and Rockruff nuzzled her neck, "Hehe.. easy boy.." Summer said.
"Well, I see you're awake now." Summer turned and saw a brown pony with a short dark brown mane, wearing a doctor uniform with a stethoscope around his neck. "I'm Doctor Hooves."
"Hi Doctor.." Summer stated, "W-What happened?"
"Well from what we got from the ponies who brought you in, there was a huge explosion in your house, leaving you unconscious and leaving your house...er... well... no more.." Summer's heart skipped a beat, "My house is... gone...?"
"The ponies searched for anything that could have survive the fire and only found this large bookshelf filled with books. It's in the waiting room, by the way." Doctor Hooves stated.
"Good thing I put that shield spell on my bookshelf." Summer mentally sighed in relief. Rockruff and Wooloo nuzzled her, "These little guys were quite worried about you, along with two others.."
"Huh?" Summer asked confused, until she heard,
"Summer?" "Sweetheart?"
Two more kirin entered the room. A male and a female. The female had Summer's mane color except she was tanish brown with white scales on her hooves and back while the male had Summer's hooves and scales color except his coat was fiery red. Their names were Spring Flare and Flash Fire. "Mom? Dad?"
Spring and Flash approached their daughter and hugged her, "Oh honey, we were so worried." Spring stated with tears in her eyes.
"What happened, dear?" Flash asked.
"Well... all I can remember is these two stallion breaking into my house with two Houndour... I think they tried to take Rockruff and Wooloo-"
"Who?" Spring Flare asked. Rockruff and Wooloo gently called to the adults who suddenly noticed them, "Oh, these two... right.."
"Anyway... they tried to take Rockruff and Wooloo but they fought back and there was a battle. I remember Wooloo and Rockruff attacking the two Houndour when they used Fire Spin and... nothing more after that." Summer explained.
"Oh my, that must have been so scary for you.." Spring cooed, rubbing her daughter's mane.
"It was.. kinda, but Rockruff and Wooloo protected me." Summer stated. Rockruff wagged his tail and Wooloo gave a happy 'baaa'. Flash Flare then turned to Doctor Hooves, "So how bad is she?"
"She's not bad at all, just a few burns and scraps, nothing too serious." Doctor Hooves stated with a smile. "She'll be discharged later today. I'll leave for alone." Doctor Hooves exited the room, leaving the kirin family and pokemon alone.
"We heard about your house, honey. We're so sorry..." Spring Flare cooed.
"Y-Yeah... w-where am I gonna live now..?" Summer inquired in a worried tone.
"I believe I have a solution for that." the kirin family turned and saw a tall mare with a muti colored mane and tail wearing yellow shoes, a yellow necklace with a purple gem in the center and a yellow crown with another jewel in the center. "Princess Celestia?" Spring Flare gasped in awe. Summer gaped at the sight of her. She had never actually seen Princess Celestia up close before.
"Good morning, everypony. I believe I have a solution to your housing problem." Princess Celestia said. "I've arranged for you to stay in a library in Ponyville with my prized pupil."
"Ponyville?" Summer asked.
"It's a small town far from Canterlot. It's where my faithful student, Twilight Sparkle, lives in her Castle of Friendship. You will attend her School of Friendship where she and her friends teach friendship to many ponies and other creatures, like yourself. I'm sure this will help you greatly, Summer Blaze." Princess Celestia explained with a smile.
"T-Thank you Princess." Summer said with sincere voice. Celestia nodded, "Now onto a more serious matter, you said that two ponies broke into your old home?"
Summer nodded, "They had two Houndour with them."
"Can you remember what they look like?"
"Umm... well one was black and the other was grey. The black one had a scar on his cheek and a bandanna on his head. The grey stallion had a bandanna on one of his forelegs." Summer described.
"Hmmm.... thank you Summer Blaze." Princess Celestia said. "Once you've recovered, my guards will take you to your new home, along with your pokemon friends."
Summer nodded and Princess Celestia left the kirin family alone once more. "Looks like I'm moving... again.." Summer sighed.
"Oh honey, it'll be okay." Spring Flare reassured with a smile.
"Yeah, you have two pokemon friends and maybe you'll make some more friends; pokemon and pony." Flash Flare added.
"Yeah.. maybe." Summer said before Wooloo jumped onto her lap and nuzzled her face, "Haha, hey that tickles.. eeee!" Summer cooed. Spring Flare and Flash Fire both smiled at their daughter and the little Wooloo and Rockruff.
"Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on your daughter for you." Rotom Dex said to the couple. They both chuckled, "Thank you." Wooloo and Rockruff turned to the parents, "And you two watch over my daughter too, please?" Flash Fire asked. Rockruff barked and Wooloo nodded.
"Alright honey, we'll let you rest and we'll come back when you're released." Spring Flare stated with a grin and Summer nodded as she watched as her parents exited the room, leaving her to rest. Rockruff and Wooloo looked at her, "Well you guys... I guess... tomorrow... we'll start a new chapter together..." Summer said to them.
Rockruff and Wooloo smiled. "I can't wait to see what Ponyville has in store for us." Rotom Dex smiled, spinning in the air happily.
"Me either, Rotom... me either..." Summer stated.
The Next Day....
Summer's POV
Hi there, I'm Summer Blaze and if you've read the first chapter, you probably know what I'm doing right now, right? Yep, you guessed it, I'm going to Ponyville after my house was blown up after an attack by these two strange stallions. I have to admit, it was pretty cool seeing my Rockruff and Wooloo battle for the first time. Now I was placing my suitcases filled with my books into the chariot that was attached to two royal guards, curtsy of Princess Celestia herself.
I can't believe I actually met her yesterday. It was awesome. My mom and Dad were there to see me off. "Will you be okay, without us honey?" Mom asked me and I rolled my eyes playfully. After what happened yesterday, she's been fretting about my safety even though Dad and I told her that Rockruff, Wooloo and Rotom Dex would look after me. "Mom, I'll be okay. I have my pokemon and Rotom Dex to look after me." I reassured, nuzzling my mothers' cheek. My dad came and put a hoof on her shoulder, "She'll be fine, honey." he reassured. Mom sighed and smiled at me, "Okay honey, just send us a message if you need something."
I chuckled at my mom and hugged her and my Dad. "I will Mom. I love you both."
"We love you two, honey." Dad stated before he kissed me on the cheek. "Now you better get going." I nodded and Rockruff and Wooloo jumped into the chariot with me. The guard neighed and they spread their wings and they took off as I waved goodbye to my Mom and Dad. Once Canterlot was out of sight, I turned back and sighed.
Honestly, I was really nervous. I mean, living in a new place and going to a new school none the less? Talk about a change. I wasn't sure what was in store for me in Ponyville or at this School of Friendship. Rockruff cooed and nuzzled my foreleg and I smiled, rubbing his head, "I'm alright, Rockruff. Just thinking."
"I'm sure you'll have nothing to worry about." Rotom Dex reassured, hovering above my head.
"Yeah.. probably not..." I said with a small smile and I hope he was right.

My Little Kirin Chronicles: Friendship is Magic
The chariot landed in front of a large crystal castle that had a large building in the back. I'm guessing that was the School of Friendship Princess Celestia told me about. I climbed out of the chariot along with Rockruff and Wooloo and I levitated my bags out of the chariot. "Thank you sirs." I said to the guards who saluted and flew back to the Canterlot Castle, trailing the chariot behind them. Then I walked up the yellow steps and was about to knock on the door when they opened, revealing a small purple dragon with wings and green scales. "Hello there, you must be Summer Blaze, right?" it asked me.
"Um... yes..." I stated nervously.
"It's alright. No need to be nervous. My name is Spike."
"I'm Summer Blaze."
"I know who you are. Twilight told me already when Celestia wrote to her." Spike smiled cheerfully at me. "She's in the throne room with her friends, come on." Spike said. Rockruff and Wooloo bounded into the castle. "Woah!" Spike fell over and gasped, "Woah, you have pokemon too?!"
"Yeah, Rockruff and Wooloo." I stated with a small smile. The two of them looked around the large hallway and gasped in awe. Woah... even I had to gasp. It was huge and so beautiful. "The throne room is this way, come on." Spike said as he go up. I levitated my bags and followed Spike through the hallway until he opened one door, "Come on." I followed him inside and I placed the boxes and my bags on the side and saw a large table surrounded by six thrones. Sitting in these thrones were six ponies; two earth ponies, one unicorn, two pegasi and one alicorn.
"Hello there." the purple alicorn greeted. "I'm Princess Twilight Sparkle."
"H-Hello, I'm Summer Blaze." I greeted back with a grin.
I looked at the orange earth pony who tilted her cowgirl hat at me, "Howdy, my name is Applejack."
Then the blue pegasus with the rainbow mane stated, "Sup I'm Rainbow Dash."
The white unicorn with the curly purple mane, brushed her mane back and greeted, "The name is Rarity, darling."
The yellow pegasus with a long pink mane, hid part of her face, "I'm Fluttershy, nice to meet you."
And the pink earth pony... came beside me and started bombarding me with questions, "Hi I'm Pinkie Pie and I like parties and surprises, do you like surprises, do you, do you, do you?" Twilight levitated her away, "Pinkie, calm down. You'll scare her." she scolded, giving Pinkie a glare.
"Oops, sorry."
Twilight sighed. I kinda smiled at that. Rockruff and Wooloo bounded over blissfully and leaped onto the table. "Roo."
"Baaa.."
Fluttershy immediately cooed at them, "Aww... they are so cute..." she cooed in a sweet voice. Rockruff wagged his tail and barked while Wooloo smiled.
"What the hay are they?" Rainbow questioned, pointing at my two pokemon.
"They are Rockruff and Wooloo." Twilight stated. "Rockruff is a rock type pokemon while Wooloo is a Normal Type pokemon."
"Hey that's my job!" Rotom Dex whined, shocking the girls.
"And what the hay is that?" Applejack asked, pointing at Rotom Dex.
"I am Rotom Dex. I can tell you everything you need to know about a pokemon." Rotom Dex stated proudly and I rolled my eyes playfully as Rockruff and Wooloo came to my side. I turned to Twilight and asked her, "You know about pokemon too?" Twilight nodded, "Yeah, I have my own afterall. Noctowl!"
"Hooo!" A brown owl like pokemon flew into the throne room and perched itself on Twilight's throne. "Woah.. cool... do your friends have pokemon too or just you?"
"I have one but its back my family's farm helpin out." Applejack stated.
"I have one too but its' chill at my place." Rainbow added.
"Oh me, I don't really need a pokemon since I have alot of my animal friends." Fluttershy stated with a blush and a smile. Rarity and Pinkie just shook their heads.
"Now Princess Celestia said you'll be attending our School of Friendship as our first kirin student, right?" Twilight asked me, levitating a scroll in front of herself.
"Y-Yeah.." I stammered, nervously.
"Great, follow us and we'll introduce you to our students." Twilight grinned. I gave them a nervous smile, "Yeah... hehe."
"Now now sugarcube, don't be all nervous. This school is a hoot and a half!" Applejack exclaimed happily.
"You'll have a great time." Rainbow stated with a determined grin.
I just smiled at them, nodded and I followed them out the back door over a small bridge that laid over a lake and we entered the large school building that had the symbol of a shield with six multi colored gems in it. They entered the school and I followed them. There were many many ponies in the school. Woah... okay.... just stay calm, it'll be fine.
Twilight spread her wings and announced, "Attention everypony and every creature! I would like to introduce our first kirin student and her pokemon, Summer Blaze, Rockruff and Wooloo!" the crowd cheered for me and my pokemon friends which made my nerves calm down a little. "Now Summer, I would like to introduce you to a special group of friends." Twilight said.
Special group of friends? Wonder what that could mean? Twilight pulled me aside from the crowd and she called out, "Gallus, Sandbar, Yona, Silverstream, Ocellus, Smolder, I have some creature you'd like to meet!"
The a lime green pony came out along with a blue griffin, pink hippogriff, brown yak, light blue changeling and am orange dragon. "Hi Headmare Twilight." the lime green pony, Sandbar, greeted and he looked at me. "Is this the new student?"
"Yes Sandbar." Twilight said. Rockruff and Wooloo cried happily and bounded over to the six students. "Awww..." Silverstream cooed at them and picked up Rockruff. "You are so cute...!" Rockruff smiled and barked happily.
"Yona like white sheep." Yona said, rubbing Wooloos' fur. "White sheep, so fluffy."
"Baaa..." Wooloo said happily.
"Summer Blaze will be attending the same classes as you all, if you don't mind." Twilight said with a grin.
"Of course we don't mind, Headmare Twilight." Sandbar accepted with a grin. "We'll show Summer around the school."
"Alright, now that that's settled, you six can show you around the school and help her in the classes." Twilight gently ordered before walking away. This group doesn't seem so bad. They actually seem like a really nice group. Wooloo and Rockruff seem to like them. "This group could be interesting." Rotom Dex said, gaining the attention of the group. Smolder and Gallus flew up to him. "And what are you suppose to be, some kind of floating tv?" Smolder asked.
"Ugh! I am not! I am Rotom Dex, I know everything about pokemon and want to learn more. I promised to look after Summer Blaze along with Rockruff and Wooloo after an encounter."
"Encounter?" Gallus asked, confused. "What kind of 'encounter'?"
"Well... it's kinda why I was sent here in the first place... kinda." I said sheepishly, rubbing the back of my head.
"Ooh, story time! Tell us!" Silverstream asked me with a big smile.
"Well.. I guess I could." I stated and told them about the attack by the two mystery stallions and Rockruff and Wooloo's battle against them and losing my home and Princess Celestia personally allowing me to stay in Ponyville in Twilight's Castle and attending the School of Friendship.
"Woah... that's gotta be rough." Gallus gasped in awe.
"It is, but I think I'll be alright." I smiled nervously.
"Yeah, and don't worry. We'll be there to help you whenever you need it." Ocellus reassured with a smile.
"Yeah, you can count on us." Smolder added before hi-fiving Gallus. I smiled and chuckled a little. "Now come, Headmare Twilight's class is gonna start soon." Sandbar informed us. I nodded and I followed the students to Twilight's class.
In Headmare Twiight's Class...
In Twilight's Class she was talking about the Tree Of Harmony. I've read about the Tree of Harmony before, knowing that it grew the Elements of Harmony after the Pillars of Equestria each infused a crystal seed with their magic. "The Tree of Harmony remains one of the most powerful sources of magic known to ponydom. And though it has been at the "root" of magic and friendship from the moment it was planted, its ways are mysterious. Almost as if it has a mind of its own." Twilight explained.
"Mind? It's a tree." Smolder scoffed with a doubtful look.
"A tree that grew a castle." Twilight said, pointing at her own castle. Woah... the Tree of Harmony grew her castle, awesome..
"Was that before or after Discord made chocolate rain?" Silverstream asked, having many notes in her claws.
"I'm never gonna learn pony history!" Gallus said in dismay. Then the school bell rung, "You can all show me what you've learned on tomorrow's test – "Friendship's Effect on the Course of Equestrian History"." Twilight announced and the students except for me, groaned. "Remember! Study groups are both fun and effective!" As the students walked out of the class room, chattering, Sandbar asked us, "So, who wants to study together?"
"I-I do." I said and the others nodded in agreement. Soon we were in the school library, studying for the test.   
"The Elements of Harmony grew the Tree?" Smolder asked, confused.
"No! The Pillars grew the Tree." Ocellus explained to Smolder.
"The Tree grew the Elements, and then the box with six locks." Sandbar added.
"But our professors found six keys and unlocked the box." Ocellus replied.
"I'm so gonna fail." Gallus said sadly. I placed my hoof on Gallus' shoulder, "Don't say that, you'll be fine."
"And how do you know?" Gallus asked me and I showed him my notebook. Neatly organized with what Twilight said about the tree. Each page was its own section, "Background", "Acts" and "Purpose"
Sandbar and the others gasped at my notes, "You took all of them in one hour? How?" Sandbar asked me with a surprised look while looking at my notes.
"I've studied magic for years, so I became good at taking notes. You guys can study from them. I'm gonna go get some fresh air." I said before I got up, leaving my notebook with the Young Six. Rockruff and Wooloo followed me along with Rotom Dex. "Where are you going, Summer?" Rotom asked me.
"I'm just gonna get some fresh air, that's all." I stated. However, before I could exit the library, I felt something coil around my back, right hoof, "Huh?" I looked down and saw what looked like a vine... but... it was crystal? "What the-?" I asked myself before several more vines came and wrapped around my stomach and other legs. "Wah! Help!" I screamed.
Sandbar and the others appeared and gasped, "What are they?" Sandbar asked.
"Mean vines have Summer!" Yona gasped.
"I'll get her." Smolder said as she flew towards me but when she was about two feet away from me, a shield appeared in front of me and the vines, forcing her to stop. "A shield? What the-?" Smolder exclaimed in shock. Rockruff and Wooloo pounced on the vines but it didn't do anything.
Suddenly, the vines glowed brightly, "Guys...!" I cried before I was teleported away from my friends and pokemon...
Looks like Summer's first day at the School of Friendship just got interesting. After meeting the Young Six, Summer suddenly is teleported away by some crystal vines. What's the deal with the crystal vines and why did they take her?

Chapter 2
Sandbar and the Young Six watched as Summer was teleported away by the crystal vines. "Oh no! Summer!" Ocellus whimpered. Rockruff and Wooloo cried in worry.
"Where did those vines take her?" Rotom asked.
"Let's go get Headmare Twilight." Sandbar said and the group rushed to her office and entered, "Headmare Twilight!" Sandbar exclaimed.
"Sandbar, what is it? Where's Summer?" Twilight asked, noticing the kirins' absence.
"Nice kirin was taken by mean vines." Yona said.
"Taken?!" Twilight exclaimed. "What do you mean?"
"These crystal vines wrapped around Summer." Smolder started. "We tried to save her but they made a shield, blocking me from trying to grab her."
"Suddenly, they just teleported away with Summer in their grasp." Silverstream finished. Twilight paced back and forth, "This doesn't make any sense. There's never been any crystal vines in the school or even in Equestria."
"We gotta find Summer." Sandbar stated.
"And we will. I'll rally the girls. Meet at my castle." Twilight ordered before she flew out of the school and the Young Six, Rockruff, Wooloo and Rotom Dex followed.

My Little Kirin Chronicles: Friendship is Magic
At Twilight's Castle...
The Mane 6, Young Six, Rockruff, Wooloo and Rotom Dex were in the throne room and Twilight explained to the girls what happened. "So these crystal vines just came out of nowhere, grabbed Summer, and teleported away with her?" Rainbow summarized.
"Yes, we don't know where the vines came from or even if they're good or bad news." Sandbar added.
Twilight looked through all the books she had on the flora of Equestria and found nothing about crystal vines. "There's nothing in my books about crystal vines."
"The only strange vines we've encounter were those ghastly Plunder vines that sprouted from Discord when the Tree of Harmony lost its magic." Rarity stated, shuddering remembering those black vines.
"Wait... Discord! That's it! Maybe he can help us find Summer." Twilight realized. And speaking of the Lord of Chaos, "Oh, did somepony mention me?" Discord said as he appeared laying on the Cutie Map. "Discord, we need you're help." Fluttershy said to him.
"With what?" Discord asked.
"Our friend, Summer Blaze, she was taken by these crystal vines and she was teleported away." Sandbar said. "Do you have any idea where they could have taken her?"
"Well obviously, your little friend was taken to the Tree of Harmony." Discord said nonchalantly.
"WHAT?!" Everyone gasped.
"The Tree of Harmony? Why would that tree be connected to the crystal vines?" Gallus questioned the Lord of Chaos, confused.
"Twilight said that the Tree seems to have a mind of its own, since it grew her castle and spouted the chest that helped you defeat Tirek so maybe it took Summer Blaze for something important." Discord stated, brushing his goatee with a fork.
"But what would that be?" Ocellus wondered.
"We'll just have to go there and find out.." Twilight stated boldly.
"We wanna come to, she's our friend too." Sandbar volunteered. The Young Six nodded in agreement and Wooloo and Rockruff cried out in agreement. "I wanna come too, the three of us promised to keep her safe." Rotom Dex stated, pointing to Rockruff and Wooloo.
"Right, alright everypony and creature, let's pack and get moving." Twilight stated proudly.
Meanwhile in the Everfree Forest...
Summer's POV
I coughed as I rubbed my eyes and I looked around at the thick flora around me. "What the-? The Everfree Forest... what am I doing in here?" I asked myself. I read about the Everfree Forest. Clouds move on their own, animals care for themselves and the plants grow on their own as well. Which wasn't that different from the Peaks of Peril, but still it did give me a creepy feeling in my stomach.
I stood up and looked around. "Why would those vines bring me here?" I wondered. I knew there was no way I could find a way out since I didn't know exactly how deep into the Everfree Forest I was, so the only option I had... "Guess I better start walking.." and with that, I walked into the Everfree Forest, hopefully to find a way out.
I didn't know how long I was walking for, but I knew I wasn't getting any closer to a way out. I sighed. Then I came to a large castle that looked to be in ruins. "The Castle of the Two Sisters?" I looked and saw a staircase that led into a cave. Curious, I walked down the staircase and I entered the cave. "Woah...." In front of me was Tree of Harmony. It was even more beautiful in person than I thought. I walked towards it looking at the purple crystals on the wall. "Awesome..." I gasped.
Suddenly the five Elements glowed and sent a stripe towards the Element of Magic and it sent a magical stripe down which lit up a moon symbol and a sun symbol before trailing down on of the small roots and sprouted a small flower. I walked over to the flower and I touched the petals. It glowed in rainbow colors before it opened, revealing a golden necklace with a white heart shaped gem in the center.
Woah... this looks like the other Elements of Harmony... but... it couldn't be... The necklace magically floated into the air and attached itself to my neck. Okay... this is new..
I touched the necklace and the gemstone, "Wow..." Suddenly there was a purple glow behind me and I saw a sparkling version of Twilight in front of me. "Hello Summer Blaze.."
"W-Who are you and h-how do you know my name?" I asked confused.
"I'm the Tree of Harmony and I know many things about you, Summer." Astral Twilight explained. "You've peeked my interest, Summer. I've noticed you have excelled with your kirin magic but your learning about the Magic of Friendship, right?" I nodded. "Then I'd like to present you a small offer, Summer Blaze, I would like you to be my pupil."
"HUH?!" I exclaimed. The Tree of Harmony wanted me to be its pupil?! Astral Twilight chuckled, "I know this is a surprise, but I've grown interested in you and want to see what will become of you. You'll report to me your findings on the Magic of Friendship from your new home in Ponyville." I was still shocked at this but I recovered, "O-Okay, but what about..?" My hoof trailed to my necklace and Astral Twilight smiled, "Consider it a small gift from me. I wish you luck on your findings Summer. " With that she vanished in a white flash and I suddenly found myself... in Twilight's throne room?
"What the-?"
"SUMMER!"
Wah! I was suddenly tackled by a relived Yona. "Yona so glad Summer back." she said.
"Hehe... thanks.. Yona.." I said as she got off of me and the other approached me. "Are you alright, Summer?" Ocellus asked.
"Yeah, I'm okay.." I said, brushing myself off.
"Uh, what's with the necklace?" Gallus asked, noticing my necklace. Twilight and the Mane 6 saw it too, "It looks like the Elements of Harmony, but that's impossible.. right?" Twilight asked me. I gave her a sheepish smile, "Well..." and I explained what happened in the Everfree Forest and boy, were they shocked.
"The Tree of Harmony made you its pupil?! And gave you another Element of Harmony?!" Twilight exclaimed, jaw dropped.
"Woo-wee, that sure is one dozy." Applejack stated.
"I'll say." Rainbow agreed. Silverstream looked closely my the heart shaped gemstone, "Wonder what Element you represent?" she wondered.
"I don't know. The Tree said to report to it my findings on the Magic of Friendship." I added.
"Sounds like what Princess Celestia had to do back when I was her student." Twilight complimented.
"What a way to end your first day, huh Summer?" Sandbar smiled. Everyone, including me, laughed together. "Come on everypony and every creature, its getting late." Twilight said. The Young Six nodded and Applejack and Rainbow led the six back to the school while Twilight showed me my room. "Here you go, Summer, you're own room."
"Woah..." My room was medium sized with a bed with four poles on the corners with a cover on it. There was a dresser nearby with a mirror over top of it. There was even a small bookshelf that held all the books I packed. "I took the liberty of placing out your books and placing them on the bookshelf for you." Twilight grinned.
I turned to her, "Thanks."
"No problem. If you need anything, just come and find me or Spike." Twilight said before she closed the door. I climbed into bed and I took off my necklace and placed it on the side of my pillow. "Wonder what the Tree of Harmony wants with me...?" I wondered as my eyes slowly closed and I fell asleep for the night.
The next morning, the sunlight from Celestia’s morning sun shining brightly into Summer Blaze’s room, making her wake up. Summer groaned and turned in her side, wanting to sleep in for five more minutes and she could have... if two certain Pokémon didn’t nuzzle her to wake her up, “Hehehe, alright alright you two, I’m up.” Summer laughed as Rockruff and Wooloo stopped nuzzling her, “Ruff.”’
“Baaa...”
Summer yawned to wake herself up some more, “Morning Summer.” Rotom Dex greeted.
“Morning Rotom.” Summer greeted back with a smile. She climbed out of bed and grabbed her necklace before placing it on her neck. It shimmered a little as she walked down the hallway and entered the bathroom to freshen up for the day ahead of her. Today was a Saturday is there was no School of Friendship.
She entered the dining room with her pokemon and Rotom, “Morning Summer.” Twilight and Spike greeted together.
“Good morning.” Summer stated with a smile. As she sat down at the table, Spike placed a plate of pancakes in front of her. They had a few blueberries and raspberry on them along with some whipped cream at the top, “Here you go Summer. I made them myself.” Spike smiled proudly.
“Thanks Spike.” Summer said with a smile. Twilight then levitated over two bowls of Pokémon food and placed them in front of Rockruff and Wooloo, “And here’s your food, little ones.” Twilight cooed. Rockruff and Wooloo cried happily and they began to eat their pokemon food.
“Hey Summer, I’m having a small book club netting here at the castle.” Twilight said. “Maybe you could join us.”
“Oh, well okay.” Summer has attended many book clubs in Canterlot so she knows how they work. They were basically groups where ponies simply discuss the book they read; what they liked and disliked about it. That sort of thing, “What’s the book club about?” Summer asked.
“It’s about the latest Daring Do book, “Daring Do and the Volcano of Destiny”.” It’s Rainbow Dash’s favorite series. I have a copy of the book so you can read it and join in.”
“Okay, sounds fun.” Summer smiled. After breakfast, Twilight have Summer a copy of the Daring Do book and she immediately started reading it for the book club which was that same night.
That Night...
It was time for the Book Club. Twilight’s castle throne room was filled with ponies who had recently finished reading Daring Do and the Volcano of Destiny. Everypony had come prepared for the very first meeting of the newly established Castle of Friendship Library Society.
Plot Twist and Berry Punch walked in together, followed by their friends Lyra Heartstrings, Bon Bon, and Wild Fire. They all poured themselves cups of cider from Applejack’s refreshments table and took their seats.
“Daring Do is such an exciting hero! I just love her!” said Berry Punch.
“This was the best book yet!” said Plot Twist. “We completely sold out in the first hour at the shop.”  
Bon Bon nodded in agreement. “The next book release will have to be even bigger.”
“Totally,” Wild Fire added, her voice monotone. The brown-maned pony wore straight-edged bangs that hung over her eyes and a chilled-out expression. It was still the most excited she had ever looked. Pinkie Pie popped up out of nowhere. “Name tags, anypony?!” She passed each attendee a little red sticker that said: HELLO, I’M... _________. Pinkie was already wearing one, except instead of her own name, she’d written HELLO, I’M... EXCITED!
“You’re Excited?” asked Bon Bon. The pony scratched her blue-and-pink mane in confusion. “Sure am!” Pinkie replied with a smile. “Aren’t you?!”
“I’m confused,” Bon Bon replied. She already knew Pinkie Pie. “You’re—”
“And I’m excited you’re here, Confused!” said Pinkie, passing her and Lyra some name tags. The two ponies shrugged at each other.
“Sorry I’m late, darlings! I wasn’t sure what one wears to a library society,” announced Rarity, waltzing in the door. “But I managed to rustle something up.” She was decked out in a collegiate ensemble, consisting of a sweater over a collared shirt and horn-rimmed glasses. Her saddlebag was filled with quills and notebooks. She definitely could have passed for a student at Mythica University. “I never tried the bookish look, but I think it really works on me, no?”
“I think you look great, Rarity!” said Spike, popping his head out from the other room and then, Fluttershy arrived.
“Hey Summer!” Summer turned and saw Sandbar and the Young Six. “Sandbar, every creature!” Summer called happily, going over to her friends. “You came too?”
“Yeah, we’ve all read the new Daring Do book and wanted to join in on the fun.” Gallus said, holding his book in his claws.
“Daring Do is so awesome, like a dragon.” Smolder laughed.
“Yeah, she sure is cool.” Sandbar added. Summer was happy to see her friends here. Then they heard Twilight’s voice.
“All right, everypony. Find a seat and we’ll get started!” Twilight announced. The ponies and creatures all sat in a semi circle. Summer and the Young Six we’re right in the front seeing a big chalkboard listed the order of business for the meeting.
“Welcome!” Twilight chirped. “I’m so glad you’re all here to share in the joy of reading with me! In my opinion, there are not enough events in Equestria purely for celebrating books, especially the Daring Do series!”
“So...” Twilight motioned to her blackboard, which was filled with tons of writing and  
diagrams. “I’ve done some extensive research into how to run a book club meeting,” she explained excitedly. “Number one on the agenda should be introductions of each member of the group.”
“I think we all know each other already!” Rainbow shot back. “Moving on!” Summer silently chuckled
“Okaaay, so if we skip that part... next should be a quick recap of each chapter in the book to refresh everypony’s memory. Then, we’ll move on to general interpretations of the text and its meaning, and last we’ll go through the list of discussion questions. We’ll have one ten-minute snack break in the middle, so please wait to visit Applejack’s treat table until then.”
Summer seemed interested in this but her friends and the other ponies didn’t think Twilight’s schedule sounded fun. “I think I speak for everypony here when I say we can cut straight to discussing the ridiculously sweet action sequences.” Plot Twist nodded her wavy orange mane in agreement.
Applejack interjected, trying to be a bit more gentle, “I think what she means is maybe we should giddyup on gettin’ this thing goin’.”  
Twilight had the best of intentions, but sometimes she was an overplanner. And right now she looked pretty disappointed that her Library Society agenda hadn’t gone over so well.  
Fluttershy felt bad.
She raised a hoof and said, “Twilight, if it’s okay with you, William Wormsworth and I would love to stay after and discuss all your talking points. He usually has a lot to say, the little chatterbox!” William sat on his chair, smiling but not saying a peep. He hadn’t said a single word yet. He tipped his pith helmet to Twilight like a gentleman.
“It’s all right.” Twilight sighed. “Rainbow Dash, maybe you should take over.” Twilight found an empty seat. She was a good friend for trying, but Rainbow was more than happy to take the reins of this meeting. Now they might actually get somewhere.
“First things first: I can’t believe that move Daring Do did where she hitched a ride on the back of that dragon and let go right when she was over the middle of Ahuizotl’s encampment! I can’t wait to try that out sometime! Of course, I’ll need help finding a dragon....”
“At your service!” said Spike proudly. It was silly because he was still just a baby—and far too small to pull off a stunt like that. It was better to change the subject before he got his feelings hurt.  
“Riiight.” Rainbow clapped her hooves together. “Anywaaaay, how about I tell you all my amazing and totally brilliant theory on the ancient map of Mount Vehoovius?!” This was her moment to wow them. “So, you know how in book two—on page one hundred sixty-three, to be precise—Daring Do is looking for the griffon’s goblet when she happens upon a tablet that refers to an ancient map? I think that—”
Wild Fire raised her hoof, interrupting Rainbow’s flow. “Um, excuse me?”
“Yeah?” Rainbow replied, trying to hide her annoyance. She didn’t like being interrupted. Especially when she was about to say something so epic that it was going to blow everypony’s minds.
“I like Daring Do as much as the next pony, but do you really think that all those daring things she does are realistic?” Wild Fire flipped through her copy of the book, frowning. “No way could a pony ever really do them in real life!”
“She has a point,” said Lyra. She nodded and bobbed her mint green mane.
“Some of it is pretty far-fetched,” added a blue Unicorn seated in the back. A couple of other ponies murmured in agreement.
“Like the part where her wing injury is acting up, so she has to step out onto an invisible rope bridge to cross the canyon?” said Bon Bon, flipping to the page of the scene in her book. “No way would anypony risk that.”
“Well...” Summer spoke out, “If the stakes are high enough the. I would say some pony would risk it. I mean you’re at your best when there’s more at stake, right?”
“Yeah, what Summer said!” Rainbow agreed, earning a blush from the Kirin. Then Wild suddenly came up to Summer, “Oh yeah?”
“Umm... yes?” Summer replied, sounding confused.
“This ain’t going to end well is it?” Smolder asked turning to Gallus.
“Nope.” Gallus replied.
. “I I double dare you to do anything Daring Do could do!” Wild Fire challengers. Everypony gasped.
Summer blinked at Wild Fire, “Okay.” She shrugged.
The next day, there was a big stir in the Ponyville town square. Everypony was gathered around the center, trying to catch a peek at something. Pinkie Pie had taken the lead in helping Summer Blaze carry out her dares. Pinkie Pie stood proudly next to a giant scoreboard, making grand motions with her hooves and urging ponies to come up and write their challenges on it. The frame was surrounded in decorative glittery clouds made of cotton balls and said, "DARING KIRIN–BOARD" in bubble letters at the top.
The proud expressions on the faces of the Cutie Mark Crusaders—Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle—were dead giveaways as to who had helped make it. Those three little fillies loved arts-and-crafts projects. Their teacher, Cheerilee, who had many hoof-made cards from them at home, could vouch for that.
Summer Blaze, Rockruff, Wooloo and Rotom Dex came walking, "Are you sure you wanna go through with this, Summer?" Rotom asked.
"Yeah, it'll just be a few dares, Rotom. Nothing too dangerous." Summer reassured him.
Everypony watched as Summer and her pokemon took their place next to Pinkie Pie. Rainbow now saw that the board had a bunch of lines where ponies could write their names and dares, and a spot for a check mark if Summer completed the dare successfully.
Pinkie Pie then faced the crowd. “Fillies and gentlecolts! The amazing Daaaaaring Kirin, Summer Blaze, will now take on all these extremely difficult challenges to prove that she can do anything Daring Do can!” Pinkie made a grand sweeping motion toward the Dare-Board. “Then she will defend her title as Ponyville’s very own most brave, most fearless, most DARING kirin!”
The townsponies cheered.
“Daring Dash’s first dare is...”—Pinkie paused for effect—“to cross the Ghastly Gorge.... on a tightrope..." Pinkie continued, making a dramatic face—“Over the lair of the quarray eels!”
"Okay, then." Summer said nonchalantly and the crowd followed her to Ghastly Gorge. Twilight, Applejack, Fluttershy, and the Young Six followed but stuck to the back of the herd.
“Is this all really necessary?” Twilight asked her friends, walking at an easy pace. “I know she wants to show that determination can help you do alot of thing, but maybe she's taking it a it too far.”
“Don’t you fret, sugarcube!” assured Applejack. She trotted alongside Twilight. “I reckon she’ll do a coupla dares and it’ll all be over in two shakes of a filly’s tail. Now come on!”
"I agree with Professor Applejack, Headmare Twilight." Sandbar added. "She even said she'll just do a few dares and be done with it."
Rarity trotted up to join them. “Well, if anypony understands the allure of attention, it’s me. But somepony ought to tell her that if she’s going to be famous, she should look the part. A costume would really add a certain something.”
“Rarity, I don’t think that would do much to discourage the whole thing,” scolded Twilight.
“I was just saying,” Rarity huffed. “Besides, it doesn’t look like she’s giving up her new persona anytime soon.”
“I just hope she’s careful.” Ocellus said.
“Me too, Ocellus,” said the concerned Twilight. “Me too.”
It had been a busy day for Summer Blaze and the ponies who had been following her daring escapades. They’d been all over Ponyville and back again, watching as Summer took on a multitude of crazy challenges. Some were totally thrilling, like when Snips and Snails had dared her to swim to the bottom of the disgusting swamp, Froggy Bottom Bogg. Summer had gotten completely covered in green slime and gook, but everypony had been impressed.
Others were kinda weird, like Pinkie’s dare for Rainbow to babysit her favorite yellow balloon for an hour. (“So many things could happen if he’s left alone! It’s very risky,” she’d insisted.) But still, Summer had completed each and every task, no matter the level of difficulty.
There was only about an hour left of daylight before Princess Luna would be lowering the moon over Equestria. But that was more than enough time to get a few more dares in. Summer's friends had been following her all day, but as the hours wore on, they were getting more and more worried. She’d proved her point; why didn’t Summer just put an end to the madness already?
“What was it you said again?” Twilight turned to Applejack. “Just a few dares and she’ll be done? Look at her—she’s been doing daring things like Daring Do all day!”
Applejack shrugged. “Maybe we can try a different approach to get her to give it up.”
"Like what Professor Applejack?" Gallus questioned the orange earth pony. Applejack trotted up to Pinkie and whispered something in her ear. Pinkie nodded and scribbled a new dare on the board.
Summer trotted to the middle of the dwindling crowd, nose turned up to the sky. “Pinkie Pie, let’s go over all the things I have completed so far.”
“Oooh, fun idea!” Pinkie said, turning to the Daring Kirin–Board. She pointed to each item with a long, glittery wand. “First, you tightrope-walked across quarry eel dwellings at Ghastly Gorge with no wings.” The crowd murmured their approval. “Then, you went inside the scary, old abandoned barn filled with bats....” Pinkie touched her pointer to the dare. “Then...” Pinkie took a long, deep breath and then said very fast, “... you swam in the bogg, babysat my balloon, spun around in a circle two hundred times until you were totally dizzy, gave Rarity’s kitty-cat, Opal, a bath, knocked on Cranky Doodle Donkey’s door during his bridge game, and now you’re about to eat the hottest chili peppers in all of Equestria!”
"Chill Peppers?" Summer repeated, confused.
“Yeah, she sure did,” said the yellow country pony, stepping forward. “Peppers from South Amareica. I just got some down at the Fillydelphia market last week when I was making my pie deliveries. The pony who sold ’em to me carried them across the San Palomino Desert. He said a couple of those guys around the orchard would keep out pesky pests,” Applejack explained. She leaned in close to Summer and looked her straight in the eyes. “He also said that one lil’ bite of one of ’em would make fire shoot straight out yer ears.”
“TO THE BARN!” shouted Pinkie Pie, bouncing up and down. “Let’s get the fire peppers!”
"Hmm... sure." Summer shrugged. The crowd cheered while Applejack jaw-dropped. "Meadow Muffins, I thought for sure she would stop."
"Umm, you do know she probably read about chili peppers." Smolder reminded.
"Yeah and she said she never tried a pepper before so she might be seeing it as trying something new." Silverstream added.
"Rats." Applejack grumbled.
At Sweet Apple Acres...
Summer was looking at the pepper on the table while the crowd watched her. She levitated the pepper and she bit into the pepper.... and nothing happened, "Hmm, tastes alright." she said and she ate the whole thing. The crowd was shocked as well as her friends.
"Look at that!" Spike clapped, "She's not affected by it all." he laughed.
“All right, now. That’s it. Drink up, sugarcube.” Applejack gave Summer some water and some cider. Pinkie came up, squealing,   
“That was so awesometastic!”
"It was?" Summer asked oblivious.
"Yeah, you just ate a hot pepper like it was nothing?!" Twilight exclaimed, with her hoof in the air.
"Well my Mom and Dad always ate peppers while I didn't but I guess eating them wasn't that bad." Summer stated as she drank the water.
"So... are you done with the dares, Summer?" Silverstream asked. "Please say 'yes'."
"Yak gets worried for kirin friend when kirin friend do dares." Yona added. Rockruff and Wooloo cooed and rubbed her legs, agreeing with Yona. They didn't like seeing their trainer/mother doing dangerous things. Summer rubbed the two of the head, "Don't worry, I think I've proved my point. I won't do anymore dares."
Her friends sighed in relief, "Thank goodness." Rotom Dex added with relief. Summer chuckled, lucky to have such caring friends.
Meanwhile, in the distance, the two stallions and Houndour from before were watching from the orchard, "So now what Nightshade?" Fang questioned.
"Well just have to make sure this kirin does what we want." Nightshade hissed.
"And how do we do that?" Fang questioned. Nightshade smiled with a evil grin. "By daring her, obviously, hehehe...."
The Next Day...
Summer was the talk of the School of Friendship. As soon as she entered the school, she was bombarded by impressed students who wanted to ask her questions but the Young Six gently urged them back so she could make her way to class. "Geez Summer, you're really popular now." Smolder stated, flying above the group of friends.
"Yeah, your're the talk of the whole school." Gallus stated.
"Beacause she was so awesome, doing all those dares during the weekend." Silverstream squealed. Summer rubbed the back of her head, blushing. "Well.. I wouldn't say all that." she replied, modestly. Smolder nudged her on the shoulder, "Why not? It's obvious they respect you now, so enjoy it."
Summer chuckled as the group entered Fluttershy's class. Fluttershy had some her animal friends in class, but today she decided to focus on Summer's pokemon; Rockruff and Wooloo.
"Alright class, today we're going to talk about Summer's little friends; Rockruff and Wooloo." Fluttershy announced. "Rockruff, Wooloo, can you two come up here please?"
"Rockruff.."
"Baa..."
Rockruff and Wooloo happily walked up to Fluttershy and stood on either side of her. "Now class, what can you see about these two pokemon?" One mare raised her hoof, "Yes?"
"Wooloo is really fluffy. Why is it so fluffy?" the mare asked.
"Well, Wooloo is a Sheep Pokemon and sheep are known to have lots of wool." Fluttershy explained. Suddenly a small scroll came in through the window and fell on the floor. "Huh? A Scroll?" Fluttershy wondered. Rockruff sniffed the scroll and growled at it. "Rockruff.. Hrrr." Fluttershy picked it up, "Summer, it's for you...."
Summer's eyes widened a little and she got up from her seat and took the scroll she unrolled it and quickly read it and gasped. "What is it?" Sandbar wondered as the Young Six got up and came to look at the scroll. Summer showed to every creature and it read,
Dear Summer Blaze,
We propose a small dare for you to do. Come to the Castle of the Two Sisters... alone. Bring nopony with you. If you don't then your parents will get it.
Take the dare or they pay the price.

The Young Six and Fluttershy gasped while Summer was frozen in horror and shock.
Summer's POV
I... I couldn't believe it...! My parents were captured by this 'Nightshade and Fang' ponies... they must have been the ponies who attacked me days ago with those two Houndour. Now they wanted me to come to the Castle of the Two Sisters alone... or else my parents would suffer. "I'll go get Twilight and the others." Fluttershy said, "Class dismissed." and she dashed out of the room.
"Summer...?" Sandbar called to me gently.
"I.. I gotta go after them." I said before I bolted out of class with Rockruff and Wooloo on my tail. The Young Six followed after me too, "Summer wait, you can't take them on alone." Sandbar said, coming beside me as we bolted out of the school
"Yeah, yak help kirin friend." Yona added.
"Don't leave us out on this rescue." Smolder added, gesturing to the others.
"But they said come alone or my parents will get hurt. I can't risk that." I rebutted with tears threatening to come out of my eyes. I wiped them away quickly. The Young Six and Summer made it to the entrance to the Everfree Forest.
"We know. All the more reason why we should go with you." Gallus added, "We're not letting you handle this alone. It's not what friends do."
I heart was fluttering with nervousness until Ocellus spoke up, "Wait... they said don't bring anypony right?"
"Y-Yeah.. and?" Sandbar questioned.
"Sandbar, you're the only pony. We're not ponies... sooo..." Ocellus started and I realized, "I can bring you five to save my parents...!"
"Exactly!" Ocellus said happily.
"Alright, rescue time!" Smolder exclaimed, pumped up, hi-fiving Gallus.
"Yak ready to save kirin parents." Yona added. Sandbar nodded, "I'll go tell Headmare Twilight and the Professors." Sandbar turned back and ran off to the Castle of Friendship while the rest of us walked into the Everfree Forest.
"You know how to get to the Castle of the Two Sisters, right guys?" I asked, turning to look at them.
"Yeah, we went their when we first ran away together." Ocellus smiled, fluttering her insect wings. Rockruff and Wooloo were by my side with determined looks. Rockruff suddenly sniffed the air, "Rockruff..!"
"Rockruff, what is it?" Ocellus asked. The Puppy Pokemon went over to a bush and barked at it. Popping out of the bush were two more pokemon. One was another sheep like Wooloo except this one had cream colored wool and blue skin. It had black and yellow striped horns on the side of its head and a tail that was the same color with a red orb at the tip. The second pokemon was a bipedal blue puppy with a black 'mask' over its eyes.
"Woah... what kind of pokemon are they?" Gallus asked.
"A Mareep and a Riolu." I identified.
Rotom Dex scanned the two pokemon. First with Mareep, "Mareep, the Wool Pokemon, an electric type. Rubbing its fleece generates electricity. You’ll want to pet it because it’s cute, but if you use your bare hand, you’ll get a painful shock." and then it turned to Riolu, "Riolu, the Emanation Pokemon, a Fighting Type, "It can use waves called auras to gauge how others are feeling. These same waves can also tell this Pokémon about the state of the environment."
"Mareep?"
"Rio...?"
"They are so cute.." Silverstream cooed, seeing the two of them.
Rockruff barked happily, wagging his tail and nuzzled the Mareep and Riolu. The two pokemon cooed at looked at Wooloo. Wooloo walked over to the Mareep. For a moment, the two blinked at each other, before tilting their heads to the side. "Baaa?"
"Mareep?"
"Rockruff, Wooloo, come on we have to save my parents." Rockruff and Wooloo nodded and we continued towards the Castle of the Two Sisters, leaving the small Mareep and Riolu.
Soon we made it to the ravine with the bridge that lead to the Castle. I could see Nightshade, Fang and their Houndour. My parents were tied up and guarded by the Houndour. We walked across the bridge and stood feet away from them. "I see you brought company, when we said not to.." Nightshade growled.
"You said bring nopony, they aren't ponies." I said pointing to my friends. Their Houndour growled.
"Now let our friends parents go!" Smolder growled, puffing out some smoke from her nose as a threat.
"First she gives us what we want.." Fang hissed.
"And what's that?" Gallus questioned.
"What else.. her pokemon.." Nightshade bargained. I gasped, "NO! You're not taking my Rockruff and Wooloo!" I denied.
"Fine then... Houndour!" Nightshade ordered and the Houndour lunged at my parents, "NO!" Rockruff and Wooloo lunged forth and rammed the two Houndour, knocking them away from my parents. They fell on the ground and got up. Rockruff and Wooloo growled at them.
"Use Fire Spin!" Nightshade and Fang ordered. The Houndour howled charged with Fire Spin but, "Rockruff, Rock Throw!" Rockruff leaped into the air and countered with Rock Throw, creating an explosion and damaging the Houndour with the super effective Rock type attack. "Wooloo, Wild Charge, go!" Wooloo then charged the two with a Wild Charge attack and they were sent crashing through the door.
The Houndour staggered to their feet, "Use Flamethrower!" The Houndour unleashed a large amount of flames at Rockruff but Wooloo stood in front of Rockruff and took the hit. "Baa...!" Wooloo was sent flying in the air and it crashed in front of me. "Wooloo, no!" Rockruff whimpered and came over, nudging its friend. Wooloo opened its eyes and staggered to its feet.
"Now use Bite on them both!" The Houndour charged forth and prepared Bite, but before they could attack, two blurs rushed past and knocked the Houndour away. "Huh?" "What?" Nightshade and Fang gasped. The two came in front of the group. "Mareep..!"
"Rio!"
"Mareep! Riolu!" I gasped in awe, seeing the two pokemon. "Grr.. you little pests!" Nightshade exclaimed annoyed. His Houndour charged the Mareep and Riolu but Riolu quickly pressed its paw on Houndours chest and unleashed a massive amount of energy that blasted it, sending it flying back. Houndour crashed on the ground and fainted. "What was that?" Gallus asked.
"That was Force Palm, a very powerful fighting type move." Rotom Dex stated.
Mareep charged the remaining Houndour and its tail turned to steel before she turned and smacked the Houndour, sending it to the ground and it fainted. "And that was Iron Tail!" Rotom Dex added. Woah.. this pair sure is strong. Nightshade and Fang growled before returning their pokemon partners. "This isn't over!" Fang exclaimed before he teleported himself and his companion away. I rushed over to my parents and Rockruff chewed them freed. "Mom, Dad, are you alright?" I asked them.
"We're alright, honey." My Mom said, hugging me. I was so relieved to see the two unharmed. "I was so scared... I thought I was gonna lose you." I stated, sniffling.
"Oh honey, you're not going to lose us." My dad reassured, nuzzling me. I looked at them both, "Promise?"
"Promise." my parents stated with smiles. I hugged them both again as my friends watched from nearby, happy that I reunited with my parents.
Summer and the group exited the Everfree Forest and were met with Sandbar and the Mane 6, "Is everypony and creature alright?" Twilight asked.
"Yes, Headmare Twilight." Gallus said. "We're alright."
"Thank goodness." Rarity sighed in relief. Then she saw Mareep and Riolu, "And where did you two come from?"
"Mareep.."
"Rio.."
"We met them in the forest and they helped us rescue my parents." I said, rubbing the two on their heads, making them coo happily.
"And boy can they fight." Smolder added with pride, "They whopped their butts... but they got away."
"That's alright. At least we know who they are know." Twilight stated. "I sent to note to Princess Celestia, hopefully, she'll know more about this Nightshade and Fang."
"Yeah... hopefully..." Summer added.
Dear, Tree of Harmony
Today, when my parents were captured, I wanted to handle this myself but my friends wouldn't allow me to go through with it and in the end, it turns out that I did needed their help to rescue them. I learned that friends will always be there to help you whenever you need it, even when the circumstances are against it.
After a daring rescue mission, Summer Blaze succeeds in saving her parents from Nightshade and Fang with the help of her friends and two new pokemon partners; Mareep and Riolu. Now what will occur after this...?

Chapter 3
It was another day at the School of Friendship and Summer Blaze and the Young Six were in Fluttershy's class. Mareep and Riolu had joined her party yesterday and the two have fit in quite well with Summer, Rockruff and Wooloo... well... except for one thing....
Wooloo and Mareep, kept competing for Summer's attention.
Every time Wooloo got all of Summer's attention, Mareep would get annoyed and would pick fights with Wooloo, concerning Summer and usually ending in her getting a Thunderbolt and falling onto the floor. Rockruff and Riolu tried to calm the two down but they would give the 'Stay out of this' look.
Now, Fluttershy was discussing the differences between Wooloo and Mareep. The two sheep pokemon stood on either side of her, "Now class, can anyone tell me a difference between Wooloo and Mareep?" Fluttershy asked the class. Ocellus and Smolder raised their arms. "Ocellus and then Smolder."
"Well Professor Fluttershy, Wooloo has white wool while Mareep has cream colored wool." Ocellus said.
"And Mareep is a different typing than Woolo; an electric type." Smolder added.
"Very good." Fluttershy said. As she was talking Wooloo and Mareep looked at each other and growled at each other, making tick marks appear on their heads.
"Baaa...." ("The kirin belongs to me, creamy! She's my mother!")
"Mareepp!" ("Oh yeah, I don't see your name on her coat so she belongs to more than just you..")  
"Baaa..." ("You wanna push my buttons, creamy!")
"Mareeppp!" ("Bring it!")
Then to the horror of the class, Mareep and Wooloo leaped at each other and started attacking each other! Mareep unleashed Thunderbolt on Wooloo but Wooloo dodged and unleashed Wild Charge, sending Mareep into the wall. Mareep shook off the attack and the two used Tackle, engaging in a struggle. "Oh no, not again!" Summer whimpered. Summer got up from her seat and tried to break up the two, "Wooloo, Mareep, stop it please." she pleaded. Mareep growled and unleashed Thunderbolt, shocking Wooloo and Summer! "Gaaaahhhh!"
"Summer!" The Young Six cried. Mareep gasped, realizing his mistake and stopped. Summer was smoking with some burn marks on her. She twitched a few times before she fell on the ground.
"Oh dear..." Fluttershy groaned.

My Little Kirin Chronicles: Friendship is Magic
Later that morning, Summer, Wooloo and Mareep found themselves in front of Headmare Twilight. "Summer, this is the third time this week that Wooloo and Mareep have fought in front of the students." she scolded. "That is not what the School of Friendship is about."
Summer felt really guilty while Wooloo and Mareep attempted to get at each other but Rockruff held back Mareep but grabbing his tail and Riolu held back Wooloo by pulling on the braids. "I'm sorry Headmare Twilight."
"Summer, the students could have gotten hurt by their fighting, you know that right?" Twilight questioned. Summer nodded. Mareep and Wooloo known electric type attacks which can be devastating to a student if they accidentally shock them.
Twilight sighed, "I just don't know why they're fighting all of a sudden." Summer admitted. "Wooloo was so gentle and nice.."
"I'm sorry Summer, but we can't have your pokemon causing havoc. So unless you can find the reason for this behavior, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to suspend you, Wooloo and Mareep." Twilight said sadly.
"What?!" Summer gasped. Wooloo and Mareep gasped as well.
"I'm sorry but they aren't safe around the students." Twilight claimed. Suddenly, Sandbar and the Young Six came in, "Wait Headmare Twilight!" Sandbar cried.
"You can't suspend them." Ocellus stated.
"I understand you're concern but I can't have them here with the risk of them harming the students." Twilight repeated.
"But what if we find out what's the cause for their behavior?" Sandbar suggested. "If we find the cause maybe that will bring together a solution to the problem, please Headmare Twilight? Give us a chance."
"Hmmmm..." Twilight thought. "Alright, I'll give you until the end of the school day to figure out the cause. I'll excuse you from your other classes."
"Thank you Headmare Twilight." The Young Six stated in unison.
Soon, the group were outside of the school; where they could investigate without the concern of injuries. Riolu and Rockruff continued to keep Wooloo and Mareep apart from each other. "Alright Summer, since you know more about the pokemon than we do, maybe you could give us some insight." Ocellus started. "When did this fighting start to happen?"
"Well... it started after Mareep and Riolu joined my party. Wooloo seemed tensed around Mareep, and I don't know why?" Summer explained.
"Hmm.... can you name some specific events where Wooloo was tense or vice versa?" Silverstream questioned.
"Events...? Let's see....
Flashback
"Mareep did get a small stomach ache once from eating too much pokemon food and I was giving it a tummy rub. " Mareep was aw Summers' house on its back as Summer rubbed its stomach as it gurgled, making Mareep groaned. "Shh... it's alright Mareep. I'm right here." Summer cooed to the Wool Pokemon. Mareep turned to her and smiled.
What Summer didn't see was Wooloo was peeking around the corner with a tick mark floating beside it. Wooloo grumbled to himself and walked up to Summer. "Baa..."
"Huh? Oh hi Wooloo, sorry I can't play right now. I have to take care of Mareep." Summer cooed as she continued to rub Mareep's stomach. Mareep cooed happily but suddenly Wooloo pounced onto Wooloo, scaring Mareep and it unleashed a Thunderbolt, shocking everyone in the room! "Gaaaahhhh!" Summer screamed in pain."

"Hmm.... good, anything else?" Smolder asked, crossing her arms. Summer thought back again, "There was another incident...
Flashback
Summer was treating Wooloo after he had accidentally fell off of her bed and fell onto her right front leg, resulting in a sprain. "I was treating Wooloo for a sprain leg when Mareep came into the room." Mareep gave a small cry alerting Summer to the its presences. "Hi Mareep, what is it?" Mareep gave another cry and nodded outside, "Oh... sorry Mareep, I can't play outside with you today. I have to treat Wooloo first. Maybe we can do it when she's healed." Mareep gave a dejected cry and Summer felt kinda bad for the Wool Pokemon. Wooloo gave a small 'baa' to Mareep making Mareep upset and it tackled Wooloo, making them roll all around the room. "Wah! Wooloo, Mareep! Stop it!" Summer cried in a panic before the two collided with her face. "Ugh!"
Flashback end
"That why kirin friend came with hurt eye, that day?" Yona asked. Summer nodded. That incident resulted in Summer have a black eyes for a few days.
"Hmm... also interesting..." Ocellus said.
"Too bad, they didn't give us clues." Smolder said dejected.
"I'm not so sure about that, Smolder." Sandbar said. "In both events when Summer was caring for either Wooloo or Mareep, the other pokemon seemed... jealous."
"Jealous?" Summer questioned, having never heard about that before.
"Yeah, when you were taking care of Wooloo, I think Mareep felt jealous of Wooloo and that's why it attacked it and vice versa which would explain one reason why they were fighting."
"But what's the other reason?" Gallus asked.
"Summer... exactly how did you meet Wooloo?" Sandbar asked.
"Well... I found Wooloo and Rockruff as two eggs that were in a box that was delivered to my old home. I cared for the eggs for some time before they hatched. Wooloo and Rockruff looked at me and they immediately bonded with me." Summer explained.
"That makes sense, when a pokemon hatches, the first thing it sees after hatching is assumed to be its' mother.." Ocellus said. "So Wooloo and Rockruff think you're they're mother."
"But what does that have to do with Mareep?" Silverstream asked, scratched her head confused.
"Wooloo must have thought Mareep was trying to replace her. Since Wooloo think Summer is her mother, before Mareep came, Summer gave all of her attention to Wooloo, as a mother should, and with Mareep in the picture, it doesn't like the fact that now Summer has to share her attention with Mareep." Ocellus deducted.
Summers' eyes widened as she realized that Ocellus was right! She turned to Mareep and Wooloo, "Wooloo, Mareep? Is that true?" she asked her two sheep pokemon who have stopped trying to start a fight each other and were now listening to their conversation. Wooloo and Mareep lowered their heads and nodded.
"Aww... guys.." Summer took both pokemon in her arms. "I love you both equally and I'm sorry if I acted like I was giving one more attention that the other. I didn't know. Wooloo, now that I know you think of me as your mother since I hatched you, you have to understand, no matter how many pokemon; sheep or not, that I get, I'll always have enough attention for all of you and that will never change."
Wooloo and Mareep nodded, "That's what I like to see." a voice said and the group turned and saw the Mane 6 walking towards them. "Headmare Twilight, Professors?" Sandbar exclaimed in shock, surprised to see the six. "What are you doing here?"
"We came to see how your investigation was going and it seems you found out the cause." Twilight smiled.
"I can understand how Wooloo must have felt. Angel Bunny gets jealous sometimes when I give attention to my other animals friends." Fluttershy sympathized.
"And we're glad you worked out your problems, sugarcube." Applejack smiled. Summer smiled and nuzzled her two sheep pokemon. "No matter how many pokemon I'll befriend, I'll always have time for you guys." she stated. Rockruff, Riolu, Wooloo and Mareep cried happily before dog-piling onto Summer, making her laugh while the Young Six and Mane 6 smiled at the group.
Dear Tree of Harmony,
Today I learned that some friends can experience jealousy in many situations. Wooloo and Mareep started fighting soon after Mareep joined the group. Though the help of my friends, I learned that Wooloo was worried she would lose my attention when Mareep entered the picture since she was the only sheep I paid attention too and that I hatched her, making her think of me as her mother. I learned that show recognize signs of jealousy before they excels into something dangerous and I showed Wooloo and Mareep that no matter how many pokemon friends I have, I'll always have attention for the two of them.
Summer and her pokemon were outside of the School of Magic, playing together. "Okay, Rockruff.. Go fetch!" Summer threw the ball in her magic and Rockruff barked happily before chasing after the ball, "Rockruff…! Rock..!" Summer chuckled as she watched her puppy pokemon dashing through the field after the ball.
Wooloo and Mareep have gotten along much better now and were now the best of friends, much to the relief of Riolu and Rockruff, who now didn't have to worry about breaking up their small fights. Rockruff came back with the ball in his mouth and dropped it in front of Summer, "Good boy, Rockruff…" Summer cooed, rubbing his head. Rockruff barked happily and wagged his tail. "Hey Summer..!"
Summer turned and saw Sandbar and the Young Six coming towards her. "Hey Sandbar, Hey everyone, what is it?" she asked.
"Headmare Twilight and the Professors have invited us to the Grand Galloping Gala in Canterlot." Silverstream said with joy.
"The Grand Galloping Gala?" Summer asked, confused.
"It's like a big fancy party that held every year in Canterlot." Gallus explained, not amused. "Sounds boring to me."
"Oh come on Gallus, it'll be fine as long as we're all there together." Ocellus reassured.
"Umm… actually you guys.." Summer started, scuffing her hoof along the ground, "Maybe I could skip the Gala this year.."
The Young Six gasped.
"Why Summer wanna skip Gala?" Yona asked Summer, confused.
"It's just… I never really went to any of the Gala, even when I moved to Canterlot." Summer explained.
"Why not?" Smolder questioned.
"It's full of high-class snooby ponies and I'm a kirin from outside of Equestria." Summer stated. "Going to the gala would undoubtly result in me being humiliated by the ponies."
"Oh come on, Summer. You're overreacting." Sandbar dismissed. "Besides, we'll be there with you. So you won't be the only non-pony in the crowd." Summer sighed.
"Please Summer come with friends?" Yona pleaded. Summer looked at her friends, knowing they weren't going to have her miss out that easily. "Alright… I'll go to the Gala…" Summer conceded.
"Hooray..!" The Young Six cheered. Summer, meanwhile, grumbled to herself.
The Young Six took her to Rarity's boutique, where they were hoping Rarity could make a dress for her. "Professor Rarity?" Sandbar asked, drawing Raritys' attention as was currently making a dress for somepony else. "Oh Sandbar, you don't have to address me as Professor, outside of school, darling. Now what can I help you all with?" Rarity asked.
"We were hoping you could make a dress for Summer, so she can go to the Grand Galloping Gala with us." Smolder replied.
"Oh of course, Smolder dear." Rarity complied. "Come along Summer." Summer sighed but she followed Rarity into one of the rooms in her shop. While Rarity was taking the measurements for Summers' dress, she couldn't help but ask, "Summer, dear. You seem a bit unhappy about going to the Gala. Care to explain why?"
"It's just… I've never been to a Gala before in my life. Even when I lived in Canterlot, all I did was stay inside and read." Summer explained.
"Ah… so you're worried about not fitting in?" Rarity guessed. Summer nodded, "Don't worry darling, if you just be yourself at the Gala, I'm sure everypony will love you."
Summer sighed, "Maybe…"
After a few hours, Summer's dress was finally finished. "Presenting the new and improved kirin, Summer Blaze!" Rarity announced and she pulled back the curtain revealing Summer in her new dress. She was wearing white shoes on her hooves and her dress was tanished with leaf designs in it along with white fur on the outside. "Awesome, Rarity!" Sandbar praised.
"Kirin Friend look great." Yona added.
"You'll be the hit of the ball, Summer!" Ocellus replied with a smile. Summer blushed a little from all the praise. "Hehe…" Rockruff, Riolu, Mareep and Wooloo adored the dress.
"Hehe, I think your pokemon love the dress too." Gallus smiled. Summer gave a small smile to her pokemon friends.
Meanwhile, outside of the boutique, Nightshade and Fang were watching from afar. "So… the kirin and the pokemon are going to a fancy gala, huh? Sounds like the perfect time to strike." Nightshade growled.
"Yeah… um… how would be do that?" Fang questioned. Nightshade sighed and facehooved. "I'll explain when we get there.." Nightshade growled. Fang nodded and the two went back into the shadows.
That night, the Young Six arrived at the Gala along with Summer and her pokemon. They entered the palace and saw Twilight and the Mane 6 all dressed up for the Gala. "Sandbar, everyone. I'm so glad you could make it." Twilight said with a smile.
"Thanks." Sandbar said, adjusting his tuxedo.
Summer's pokemon gave their own greetings to the six of them, which drew some attention from the high-class ponies.
"What are those creatures suppose to be?"
"They look weird."
"Why are they here?"
Summer heard some of the commented and folded her ears down, which didn't go unnoticed by the group. "Hey, don't let those snobs get to you, Summer." Gallus stated. "This is the night to have fun."
Summer gave a small smiled but it quickly turned back into a frown. Before the group could saw anything else, Princess Celestia came in, "Hello everypony." she greeted. Everypony bowed to her as she came up to them. "Good evening, Princess." Twilight greeted.
"Good evening Twilight, and you too Summer Blaze." Celestia greeted back. "How are you enjoying living in Ponyville?"
"Oh..! I-It's great… hehehe." Summer stated, nervously.
"She's just frettin about the high-class ponies here." Applejack added.
"Well don't worry about them, Summer. Just stay with your friends and enjoy the night." Celestia reassured.
Summer nodded, "Princess? Where's Princess Luna?" Fluttershy asked.
"Alas, my sister has decided to miss out on the gala." Celestia sighed with a small frown.
"Why? Its at night so she could be wide awake?" Rainbow questioned.
"Since my sister had returned from the moon, she has felt a bit… insecure about attending social events. She would rather perform her duties than try to reconnect with her subjects." Celestia explained.
Summer thought about what Celestia said for a moment and asked, "Princess… can I.. Go and talk with Luna?"
Everypony and creature looked at her, surprised. "Of course, Summer. She's out on the balcony, raising the moon." Celestia informed Summer. Summer nodded and she and her pokemon went out onto the balcony where they saw Princess Luna raising the moon, high into the sky.
"Umm.. Princess Luna?" Summer called. Luna stopped using her magic on the moon and turned to Summer, "Oh Summer Blaze.. what are you doing here?"
"Your sister said you would be out here instead of trying to reconnect with your subjects." Summer explained. Luna folded her ears, sadly before turning back around, "Well... yes... ever since I returned from my banishment, I've been worried that my former subjects would still fear me at any social gatherings. So I stay out here and perform my duties as Princess of the Night rather than try to reconnect with them."
"But if you don't try to reconnect with them, you'll never know if they still fear you or not." Luna sighed, "But how can I? After what I did as Nightmare Moon?"
"They've forgiven you, along with your sister... you just have to try instead of hiding." Summer reassured. Luna looked back at Summer. "You really think so?"
Summer held out a hoof to Luna, "You won't know unless you try.." Luna looked at Summer's hoof and gave a small smile before taking it in her own. The duo walked back into the castle and were about to head to the gala when..
BOOM!
"What the-?" Summer exclaimed. Luna and Summer rushed to the ballroom and saw ponies running and screaming in panic. "What is going on?" Luna exclaimed.
"Roo!" Riolu pointed and Summer gasped when she saw two ponies and Houndour, who had cornered everypony including Celestia, the Young Six and the Mane Six! "Nightshade!" "Fang!" The two ponies looked at her and grinned, "Ah.... you've finally came out of hiding huh? Great. Houndour, Flamethrower!" Nightshade ordered and his Houndour blasted a stream of fire at Summer but Rockruff countered with Rock Throw. "Rooooo!"
Luna flew over the crowd to her sister, "Celestia..! Are you alright?"
"I'm alright sister." Celestia smiled.
"Houndour, use Sludge Bomb!" Fang ordered and his Houndour launched a ball of poison that struck Rockruff hard and it fell on the ground with purple bubbles coming out of his. "Rockruff..!" Summer gasped in horror, seeing her Puppy Pokemon posioned by the Sludge Bomb. Rockruff staggered to his feet, not ready to give us.. "Rock...ruff..."
"Use Flamethrower!" Nightshade and Fang ordered and the Houndour blasted Rockruff with a double Flamethrower, damaging him even more! "Rockruff, no!" Summer cried in horror. Rockruff crashed onto the floor, covered in scratches and burn marks. "Hrrr.... Hrrr...." Rockruff, even being poisoned and injured, still managed to stand up.
"You might as well give up, pup. You're not winning this round.." Fang declared. Rockruff growled and the bad ponies and gave a loud howl to the sky before its body was coated in a light blue glow, much to the shock of everyone!
"What's going on with Rockruff!" Sandbar exclaimed in awe.
"Its... Its evolving!" Luna gasped in shock. Rockruffs' body grew taller in the blue glow and its small puppy voice grew deeper. When the light vanished, everyone saw that Rockruff had completely changed. It was now red and now stood on two legs and grew a large white mane with a rock in the middle of it. Its eyes were red and it looked intimidating. "Lycan..."
"A Lycanroc...!" Summer gasped in awe. Rotom Dex then took over from there, "Lycanroc, the Wolf Pokemon (Midnight form), a rock type. It goads its enemies into attacking, withstands the hits, and in return, delivers a headbutt, crushing their bones with its rocky mane."
"That's awesome, Lycanroc...!" Summer exclaimed in joy.
"Lycanroc..." Her Lycanroc smiled. Nightshade and Fang were a bit deterred by the sudden evolution but their Houndour charged Lycanroc with two Bite attacks. Lycanroc took the attacks head on... and suddenly delivered two punches to the pokemon, sending them flying back. "That was Counter!" Rotom Dex gasped.
The Houndour crashed onto the ground and Nightshade and Fang in horror. "Now use Stone Edge!" Summer ordered.
"Roooo!" Lycanroc howled and punched the ground, causing a row of large, blue, glowing rocks to run across the ballroom floor and struck the four bad guys, sending all of them flying out of Canterlot. "You'll pay for this!" Nightshade called as they were sent flying.
DING!
"We did it..!" Summer cheered. Riolu, Mareep and Wooloo cheered as well in joy. Summer's newly evolved Lycanroc walked over to her with a smile, "Lycanroc.."
"You were amazing, Lycanroc.." Summer praised, rubbing his fluffy mane.
Sandbar and the others came over to them, "Summer, that was an awesome battle!" Smolder exclaimed.
"Your Lycanroc was so strong!" Ocellus stated.
"Yona like wolf pokemon." Yona added. Lycanroc smiled at the others. "Lycan..."
Celestia and Luna came over at that moment with Twilight and the others, "Excellent job, Summer Blaze." Celestia stated. "You and your Lycanroc saved the Grand Galloping Gala."
Summer smiled at the royal sisters, "Hehe..."
"And now we shall let the night commence!" Luna announced, earning a cheer from her subjects. Celestia then leaned over to Summer, "And thank you for getting my sister to enjoy the Gala, Summer."
"It was my pleasure.." Summer replied.
And the Grand Galloping Gala continued that night and everypony, creature and pokemon enjoyed the night.
