*Knock Knock*

"Radiance! You're going to be late for school!"

"Ugh......okay. I'm coming...." Radiance answered in a sleepy tone.

She slowly stood up from her bed and stretched as the sound of pops came from the joints in her back. She got her school uniform on, put on some piercings on her ears and set up her hair. Upon exiting her room, she was met by her little brother standing in front of her.

"What is it?" she asked him.

"You still haven't bought me that Moonshine cupcake you owe me." he said angrily.

"I promised to buy it on the weekend you impatient little dork." Radiance said and poked his forehead.

She walked past him into the kitchen where she made herself some breakfast. After eating she put on her school bag and headed out the door. She jumped onto her moped, put on her helmet and drove off. About halfway she got flagged down by a woman on the side of the road. She drove up to her and stopped to see what was going on but was disappointed by what it was. The woman was a Karen.

"I have seen you driving around here so many times. Your moped is extremely loud. You can't just drive it around here. There are people here that are trying to sleep at this time of hour. Have you forgotten the town name? You know what, I'm calling the cops this is insane. Don't even think about driving away." the woman berated her as she pulled out her phone.

"Okay Karen." Radiance said.

"My name is NOT Karen." the woman said before turning to her phone to dial 13 15 15 14.

Radiance just rolled her eyes and shook her head before driving off.

'Sheez...she takes the town name WAY too seriously. Why is it even called 'Silent Hill' when there is little to no silence at all here?' Radiance thought as she drove down the road.

She pulled up to her school and parked the moped. As she approached the school she ran into someone she didn't want to deal with this early in the morning. Moonbeam.

"Well hello there Radiance. Have a crap day."

"Shut up Moonbeam." Radiance answered.

Moonbeam either didn't hear her or she just didn't care. Neither did Radiance. They had been rivals for as long as they could remember. It was rivalry at first sight. They competed against each other on everything from all the way back in kindergarten.

The first session was Arts and Crafts and the assignment was to draw an animal without looking down on the paper. When they started both Radiance and Moonbeam were hit with a splitting headache. Their hands moved like they had a life of their own and when it disappeared the assignment was over and the teacher collected the drawings. She looked through the different drawings, but stopped and looked a little closer on two of them before she spoke.

"Radiance and Moonbeam." she started sternly and showed the papers that belonged to the addressed students.

On both of them two incomprehensible words were written.

Libera Tutemet

"What is this supposed to mean?" the teacher asked sternly.

Radiance and Moonbeam looked at each other with uncertainty and for once in their lifetime they agreed on something.

"We don't know." they said in unison.

"You don't know? Is that your answer? Come up here." the teacher said and gestured for them to come up to the front of the classroom. They did what the teacher wanted and were about to receive a ruler on their hands, but then wind started blowing even though all windows were shut. A white aura started to surround Radiance and Moonbeam as they grabbed at their head in pain. Images were surging through their heads like a river and the energy surrounding them began to build up. A shock wave ripped through the classroom, knocking over several tables and chairs. Radiance and Moonbeam were paralyzed as a voice boomed all around the classroom.

"Dark times have befallen the land. People have been blinded by false truths for too long. The empress has blinded you with her lies, but there is one thing she never thought of. There is always a light of hope in the darkness."

When the voice disappeared the light grew brighter and when it too disappeared Radiance and Moonbeam both fell onto the floor unconscious. Silence reigned for a few minutes before one of the other students tried to approach them. When she did a bright flash filled the room and the two girls disappeared without a trace.

The Everfree forest

A bright flash ripped through the sky as the two girls were lying on the forest floor knocked out cold. Through the silence a soft voice spoke.

"Your journey has just started. May God be with you. Rainbow Dash and Indigo Zap."
