The party and The test

The school bell rang. Signaling the end of the day. As the students were about to leave the classroom the teacher spoke up.

"Remember that you have midterm tomorrow." she said as the students began flowing out of the door.

Vinyl and Octavia walked to their dorm together while talking about music and plans for the weekend. Vinyl was going to be DJ for the most popular club in town and Octavia was going to play at a concert in the opera house. As they talked, they suddenly ran into Flash Sentry.

"Oh, hi Flash. How are you doing?" Vinyl said.

"Not much, but I came to invite you to a party at my parents house today." he said with a smile.

"Heck yeah! I'll be there." Vinyl said as Octavia tugged her arm and gestured for them to go to their dorm room.

When they entered the dorm, Octavia prepared her desk for study while Vinyl prepared for the party.

"Can't you join Octy?" Vinyl asked.

"No Vinyl. I want to study for this test and so should you." Octavia answered firmly.

"Come on Tavi! We can turn our alarm clocks to ring earlier and we'll have a lot time to study. I don't want to leave you to be bored while I'm having a blast." Vinyl complained.

"While that is very considerate of you Vinyl, I want to be sure that I pass the midterm." Octavia argued back.

The two continued to argue for half an hour before Vinyl finally gave up.

"Fine. I'll go by myself, but don't blame me if you get bored." Vinyl said to which Octavia chuckled.

"Don't worry. I won't. I'll leave the door unlocked so you don't have to bring your keys." Octavia said and waved as Vinyl left the room. Not one minute after Vinyl left Octavia opened her book to start studying.

As Vinyl stopped at the Parking lot of Flash Sentry’s house, she could see shades of red blue and violet racing through the interior of the house. Vinyl now knew that the party had just gotten started.

“Oh, I hope Flash doesn’t get mad at me that I showed up a little later than usual,” Vinyl said as she hopped out of the car and walked towards the front door of Flash's house. After knocking on the door and waiting for about 3 minutes, Flash finally opened the door to greet Vinyl.

“Ah, Vinyl, you arrived just in time for all of the fun to start. Did you bring you equipment with you?” Flash asked Vinyl.

"Yep, it’s inside the trunk of my car. Just let me get it out and then the fun can really begin.” Vinyl said as she went to her car to retrieve her equipment.
Once everything was set accordingly, Flash went to get everyone’s attention.

“Alright Ladies and Gentlemen, your DJ has arrived,” Flash said as Vinyl walked onto the stage so everyone could see her. Then the crowd started cheering as Vinyl took a playful bow.

“Alright everyone, are you all ready to get this party started,” Vinyl asked the crowd, as all of them said 'YEAH' at the top of their lungs. “All right, then let’s get this party right in gear."

5 hours later

The party had gone without a single issue or conflict. Everyone was dancing, the music was roaring, and the alcohol was pouring like there was no tomorrow. Everyone had been having a fun time, and with Vinyl’s wub making skills, everyone was entertained for the whole night. After that, most of the people had left to go back to their houses. The only people that were there were either people that were cleaning all the garbage that was on the floor or people that had passed out drunk.

“Thank you so much for attending Vinyl, you made this party into a blast,” Flash said, as he was helping Vinyl get her equipment back into her car.

“Hey, don’t sweat it Flash, whenever there a party going on or they need assistance with one, I’m always happy to help.” Vinyl said as they finally got her bass canon back in the trunk of her car.

“Say, before you go, tell me how you and Octavia are doing these days,” Flash asked Vinyl.

“Well, you know what she’s like, she’s like all headstrong elite musicians, they always like to get everything done perfectly, besides why would someone like her be interested in someone like me?” Vinyl said. “I mean we have different musical interests, she like the orchestra and I...well...like wubs. My interests are way different than her’s.”

“Well, I’m not so sure, I heard from Octavia that she thinks you’re kinda cute when you’re practicing on your equipment,” Flash said.

“Wait, Octy thinks that I’m cute!” Vinyl said happily. “That’s the happiest news that I’ve heard all day, thanks Flash.” Vinyl said as she got in her car and drove back to the school.

When Vinyl came home, she began thinking of the midterm that would be tomorrow.

'I'll ask Octy for help tomorrow morning.' she thought as she opened the door.

When she entered the room a strange earthy and metallic smell was in the air, but due to the smell of chips and pizza drowning it she couldn't point out what it was, but she didn't want to wake Octavia so she just silently changed to her pajamas and went to bed.

When she woke up that morning the metallic smell had gotten stronger but was still drowned by the smell of chips and pizza.
She sat up in her bed and looked over to Octavia, there she was met with a gruesome sight.
Octavia was lying on her back with a terrified expression, she had been slaughtered. She had been dissected, organs were trailing out and hanging on the outside of her body, her arms and legs had been broken and twisted, blood was running everywhere and dripping onto the floor. Scream after scream flowed from Vinyl's mouth as the sound of other students rushing to the dorm grew louder. The students began entering the room to find out what the source of screaming was, some were still in their PJs, but Vinyl couldn't care less about it as her eyes looked up and locked onto a sentence on the wall written in Octavia's blood.

Aren't you glad you didn't turn on the lights?

Author's Note

I'm going to be slaughtered for writing this.

Plz don't destroy me for killing off Octavia. It had to be someone and I didn't want to come up with two OCs for one story.
