-Moon Cell Realms, Midgar, Upper City, Castle Alexander, Ocellus-

“All rocket trucks focus all fire on the containing the Eaters, especially the Eater Gekkos.” The Eater Gekkos were spreading things a bit far too fast for my liking and Pom’s team had a plan to take them out, but they couldn’t let the Eaters get too out of control for that to work. “Ignore the EPs, Commandramon, any Rider Zealot we can spare, protect those rocket trucks! Everyone else in Castle Alexander needs to be on lookout for approaching enemies.”

We had to give them as much time as they needed, I feel kind of awful not being able to help more and sitting in a large armored structure while Pom is out there fighting.

“Feeling a little left out of the fight by being on the backline? Well don’t, what we’re doing is arguably as important if those eldritch beasts take too much of the city then we’re all smoked even if Ms. Lambchop and the other teams survive their battle at Shinra Tower.” Cait Sith said with his arms crossed and staring at the screens, he adjusted the crown on his head. “I can’t help either as you very well know, the best I can do is direct our AP forces, taking some of the burden off your shoulders by directing the forces that can’t come back near infinitely. Also I didn’t know the helipad could turn into a wider battle arena like that, must be an added feature from Moon Cell.”

“This is Quetal, we’re securing Dormarch’s efforts to deal with the Eaters… there’s no way we can possibly face those rapidly growing numbers.” As Quetal just said, EPs weren’t a major problem as far as endless numbers were concerned when we had quality that outpaced the general quantity and had a known method that would stop the endless swarms. “Also roof access has been cut off, we’re going to have to climb the outside of the building to get up there to assist. The rain isn’t going to make that easy at all. Dazzle and Shine can possibly get up there, but are being bogged down with securing the building. Advise, what do you think we should be doing?”

The Eaters were different from the EPs. They were all the same quality in threat level even if the various combat forms of Eater ate things at different speeds, they were all notably highly lethal at point blank range and recovering anyone lost to them would require we destroy the Mother Eater… something we didn’t have the capacity to actually do. So their quantity was definitely a bigger issue given it takes a lot of explosive force to even take out one normal Pure Eater much less a few hundred of them and they were all tough like that. The Eater Gekko and Eater Soldier were easier to take out than Pure Eaters and goodness knows it would take a lot to take out the Eater Mother again, last time we dropped an entire city on it and this time that wasn’t possible.

“Continue securing Dormarch’s position, he’s doing something vitally important and we can’t risk it failing. Pom has aerial support and Sami is working on it according to Canard who is planning to lend further aid personally.” I was not making my order based on Dormarch’s anger or feelings towards me, I was not a little Pupa like him and had to be an adult in this situation. What little of said air support there was left after hitting the enemy aerial forces still currently outnumbering them five to one in EPs alone and not counting the manufactured having extra fire power that EPs don’t generally seem to have, I spent time considering all the angry red dots moving around Shinra Tower.

I was going with cold logic on this one, there was always going to be moments where you just make the decision you think to be the best at the time. My heart wanted to go for Pom and to keep her safe… but I couldn’t in good conscience doom us all to save one person. Even now, ‘for the good of the hive’ or more than likely ‘for the good of the many’ was still a strong thought in the back of my head. Pom was like that and she was rubbing off on me terribly as our caretaker.

Dormarch would probably want me to send all available assistance we can spare to Pom, I would normally want to agree… but I’m looking at the bigger picture here. The spreading white dots that have consumed almost an entire quarter of the upper city already were slowly getting faster the more territory they took and was starting to spread to the lower city too from the data we were picking up from Artoria and Mash’s Medieval Army.

We couldn’t let the Eaters get any further than they already have and were more of a top priority than the local servant threatening to blow this city to kingdom come… since the Eaters might actually survive that and doom a lot of worlds if we didn’t keep them in check. It didn’t help that the constant raining and thunder with flashes of lightning made them look all the more horrifying.

-Pom (Lambkin Chrysomallus), Dolly (Dalmatian), Lit (Still a Joltik) with guest stars Artoria (Zacian), Mash (Zamazenta) and temporary summon Lightning Master Ramuh (Pterocentaur) vs. Finished Air Buster Ultimate and Merak-

There floating with its two flying mechanical hands covered in protective barriers as much as the Air Buster. It only stalled for a few seconds for Merak to ponder over Ramuh the Pterocentaur. He was upset that the red hound somehow blocked his lazy laser with their body. The blue hound was quite threatening given it sent out a flying sword wave, but the barrier drones protected the Air Buster and its mechanical fists perfectly.

Artoria was flummoxed that the Excalibur failed to cut through the erected magitek barriers protecting the enemy.

Mash didn’t feel very helpful in this situation, but did just face tank a massive beam of energy without injury.

Pom glanced at Ramuh having gotten a name out of him and then looked back at the flying machine preparing to continue its barrage. Sighing, the wild eyed Pom motioned to Dolly and Dolly got the memo immediately and ran towards Pom.

Sami was too busy fighting in the distance and was currently shooting down a helicopter while trying to make her way back to attacking the Air Buster. It would take a while there were a lot of EPs and a few manufactured in the air.

Pom figured if they were going to fight…

Pom raised both her front hooves above her head and Dolly landed all four paws on them, the Dalmatian was promptly launched into the sky where she entered a magical glide through the rain while bringing her board about to ride it.

Crouching down and coiling the wool around her hind legs, with a powerful spring through a series of bending lasers, Pom herself was in the air and with a bit of focus wool shifted into being able to glide.

Then Pom would have to take the fight to Merak in the air, all the ghostly wolves seemed to turn into flying squirrels at the same time that Pom did.

A lightning bolt struck one of the barrier drones damaging it, said bolt looked to have come from Ramuh who took to the air too.

Artoria just fired a beam from her blade, but the barrier drones simply sat behind either the large mechanical hands or The Air Buster. It was times like this that Artoria wished she could fly.

Mash would protect Artoria, but really didn’t have much to do at the moment aside from having used Wide Guard to save Pom and Dolly earlier.

Pom swept and twisted through the air to avoid the machine cannon fire as the torso angled its lower half to fire on her as she tried for the barrier drone of the left flying mechanical hand or at least tried to get near it. The Air Buster was actively stopping Pom from retrieving the paranormal parasol lance.

The partially golden lambkin narrowed her eyes as she saw something before a series of missiles and portals forced her into frantically gliding away from the number of projectiles filling the airspace. She even managed to gain some height by slapping all four of her hooves together creating a burst of air to pop her up and out of the way of multiple curving orange beams from converging on her.

Dolly was having much better luck at hitting the barrier drones, but the stone bone could only do so much damage. Ramuh was arguably doing more with his occasional building up magic to fire powerful but small bolts of magical lightning into the barrier drones.

The large left mechanical hand fired its finger lasers at Ramuh who simply flapped his wings and dodged out of the way with relative ease and then he stopped to hover while mumbling. The right hand just fired beams at Artoria and Mash and Ramuh’s barriers deflected most of the attack that Mash didn’t just tank outright afterwards by standing in front of Artoria.

Pom fired a bark buster and exploded it into a barrier drone covered the Air Buster’s main body and it tried to hit her by firing the shoulder limb splitting beams in her direction that made her dive wildly towards the side of the tower to avoid the energy beams trying veer off into her. She quickly clambered back up the tower and kicked off to gliding underneath the Air Buster and firing off a quick bark blast into one of the barrier drones.

Several bits of shrapnel pierced Pom’s body as she passed into range of the one working rear flak cannon and it managed to explode a blast of shrapnel near her causing her to plummet in the air a bit while bleating in pain.

Sealing the wounds and ejecting the material, Pom caught herself and continued to think about how to approach the machine as the floating torso was firing on Dolly.

They weren’t having much luck with damaging the barrier drones, as they started moving about up and down trying to avoid Dolly and Pom’s attacks. Said drones were entirely avoiding moving into a range where Artoria could actually hit them with a sword beam.

Artoria just spent some time dodging the few attacks sent their way while charging up her blade and Mash absorbed attacks for that couldn’t be dodged.

Pom was having problems facing the Air Buster in the air and had tried to land on it, only to get bounced off by the barrier drone or repulsed by the shockwave system that protected it from Bark Breaker attacks.

Ramuh wasn’t having problems dodging the various projectiles or targeting the barrier drones, but destroying them was requiring more power than he was willing to spare at the moment. He was trying to take out the barrier drones protecting the Air Buster specifically before his energy ran too low for an ultimate attack directly applied to the machine.

Lit for his part was crawling on a barrier drone, sneaking around and looking at all the trouble Pom and Dolly were having with trying to attack the barrier drones. The joltik watched on as Dolly performed a counter rave to move fast enough that she could damage all the drones at once, but not enough to destroy any of them.

They weren’t enough without Lit, but Lit was focused on at least taking down one of the big mechanical hands, specifically the left one with the paralance rammed straight through it. He stared at it for a long time and memories of home and feeding off the lightning rods of Violight flooded through his tiny little brain.

Lit lunged for the bit of the pole sticking out of the back of the left mechanical hand and landed on the paralance, his four little blue eyes looked up at the storm as he raised his front left leg and started drawing the energy in the air towards him.

Like always, Lit was going to be a little hero that did absurd things.

“KRAKOOOM!” The Joltik proceeded to do something that many had failed to do in the past, destroy something protected by a magitek barrier drone. The bolt of lightning had been massive and it wasn’t directed at the barrier protected enlarged flying mechanical left hand, it had targeted the paralance and the energy bypassed the barrier entirely and the massive hand started sparking as lights started to shine from its inner workings.

“BOOM!” The massive explosion happened instantly and sent a scorched and crippled Lit slamming into the roof of the building and tumbling painfully across it, Pom was immediately landed next to Lit and seeing as his form was going still hastily pressed the Reviver Seed against his tiny body.

Dolly dove in front of hundreds of machine cannon rounds tried to tear into Pom, she took up a defensive position and tried to stand up to the onslaught from above threatening to knock her over. The protective magic barrier from Ramuh was helping deflect the numerous lasers as the Reviver Seed took effect and the scorched bug started to revive in a white glow.

Artoria glanced worriedly in their direction and was relieved Pom didn’t immediately go after the lance, but was more concerned that Mash did go after the Rhongomyniad. The ‘spear of the end’ that haunted Artoria in a different life time.

The barrier drone, not having the left mechanical hand to provide a barrier to, immediately moved over to protect the remaining enlarged flying mechanical right hand.

The blue sword wielding canine moved into position next to Dolly and helped in the defense as the amazing tiny yellow insect was revived using her blade to deflect physical projectiles and reflect the beams.

It didn’t help that Pom was utterly out of healing supplies aside from Ethers now, the last ditch silent plan was to have Dolly cast the most powerful spell she could muster and drink an ether to cover the cost.

“Oh did you have a revival potion, what a sad little notion, that you think that annoying little bug was even worth any devotion~!” Merak stated in an aggressive tone as Lit got up groggily.

If Pom were not already gone to her beast side with her red and gold eyes, she would have used it here as she glared up at the Air Buster from behind Dolly’s board as Lit got back on his tiny blue tipped legs and squeaked.

“I might not be a tank, but I’m hitting your flank, this is for my sister… POINT BLANK~!” Never had Krosserdog been heard of as ever being an angry digital robot, but in this moment with his forehead open and falling from strafing Sami still firing on a helicopter giving chase, he fired a powerful glowing bullet that grazed one of the barrier drones behind the floating right mechanical hand.

It seemed like a miss in the milliseconds that Krosserdog looked to have been aiming at the barrier drones protecting the mechanical hand, his green visor seemingly narrowed.

What actually made the shot Krosserdog got off amazing was that the bullet immediately went on to destroy the two barrier drones protecting the Air Buster. Afterwards Krosserdog was left falling towards the bottom of the tower, flipping backwards from the shot he just fired out of his head and in capable of aiming either of his arm rifles up at the Air Buster or the remaining drones.

If Krosserdog ever met someone named Sniper Joe, they would certainly be amazed of the shot he just accomplished. He’d probably survive the fall since he was a Digibot, but he didn’t have a way to get back up or into the fight and he’d be left badly damaged at the bottom of the tower.

“Judgement Bolt.” Flying high up in the sky and raising his staff up in the air Ramuh generated four orbs of fluctuating energy and they gathered to come crashing down.

Before a barrier drone could be reallocated, Ramuh’s bolt struck the target. He had used up a lot of magic since he was summoned. Where Ifrit and Shiva might last longer fighting in melee or limiting their magic use, Ramuh was pretty quick to drain the last of his energy since it was his main form of attack. He silently wished his summoner well.

The Air Buster faltered and last its ability to fly and slammed into and then subsequently through the roof causing entire sections of the building to collapse into the upper floor laboratory like section of the building Pom, Dolly and Peppercat had temporarily passed through before.

After landing softly on her hooves, Pom watched as the Air Buster blasted flames to lift itself onto its lower torso which once again reformed a hovering be. Pom had grabbed Dolly and Lit before leaping to start floating down after the roof finally shattered from the impact of a crashing Air Buster to collapsed inwards and then promptly outwards sending chunks of the tower falling all around the building.

The whole torso of the Air Buster looked rather shaky after such a damaging attack, but still strong as a Barrier drone came down to cover it and the right flying mechanical hand with its own damaged barrier drone soon joined it.

Mash soon arrived with the paralance and tossed it to Pom, making Artoria glare at the red canine as they took up a position next to the blue one.

Pom caught it and held it defensively at the ready, her eyes noted the amount of time left they had to fight on the hovering countdown timer at less than ten minutes and shrinking. She didn’t think it important as Dormarch already mentally informed her to not worry about it and why.

Artoria sent Pom a searching look and just prepared the glowing Excalibur in her mouth to continue the fight.

“Heh heh heh, hah hah hah, now you’ve really gotten my full attention~!” Merak sounded quite angry and a diffusion beam started building up on the Air Buster, its machine cannons were still working as were the body mounted flamethrowers slash jet adjustment thrusters. “Do you really think I’m done, this getting quite fun, let me add a new dimension~!”

Flying EPs were summoned into the room, a number of them were Heli-Troopers, Moon Cell Watchers and spiraling blade Drones started appearing around the rubble strewn space.”

The Air Buster had lost its split laser firing upper arm cannons and one of its rocket launchers from the judgement bolt, but it’s back mounted curving orange homing lasers were still fully operational given it just fired them at the group facing Merak down.

Everyone evaded or blocked the beams, the magical barriers Ramuh put on them were still working even now. They spread out and the fighting begun.

Lit stuck with Dolly and blasted away some Moon Cell Watchers as she took down a Heli-trooper with a well thrown bone.

Artoria tore a large number of the enemy EPs out of the air with a blast wave of raw force coming off of her Excalibur blade.

Mash lived up to her name as she smashed her face into the spinning blades of a Drone without injure as she sent it dissolving into a pile of code as it tumbled away. She was sent slamming through a wall a second later after the remaining flying mechanical hand slapped her.

Pom destroyed two drones with two wide sweeping swings before opening up the paralance to block machine cannon attacks from the Air Buster and the mass of flames the flying mechanical hand sent her way.

Everyone was busy fighting as the Air Buster hovered backwards and continued building up energy for its diffusion beam, its spinning gear like parts connecting its upper and lower torso started spinning up.

“Fou fou-fou-fou, FOU~!” Fou smashed through the nearby wall spooking Pom and immediately threw the monstrous Bomb creature he was holding and blew apart the damaged barrier drone protecting the large mechanical hand and started growling. He sent a glare at Pom and snorted before tilting his head at the mechanical hand, he was calling dibs on this one.

“I am really starting to hate this mess, I’m still stuck fighting and doing my best, but I don’t exactly think I can match up to this physical test~.” Pom sang as she leapt and fired a Thousand Spears with her left hoof into the side of a Heli-trooper pushing him into the path of a redirected missile by the Air Buster firing them up into a portal above it. She had to stall back up as several missiles dropped in front of her to stop her from approaching the Air Buster or more importantly the barrier drone protecting it.

“Some machines might be great, it’s definitely not too late, to say that we’re all currently irate~!” Dolly stated as her board slashed through a drone with a bit of cutting wind coming off of it without her having to cast magic on it. “Come on lets show him our stuff, we’re still really quite tough, he’s thankfully also lazy enough~!”

Fou turned and faced off against the unprotected mechanical hand and leapt to bash it through a wall of the building that was started to collapse in large chunks around everyone left in the wake of Fou stealing the mechanical hand to fight it by himself. He apparently had something to prove.

The building shook and quaked, after the rooftop got taken out. The entire buildings structural integrity was quite suspect and the time limit was still mildly worrying to Pom.

“Do you think I’m weak little grazer, now take a gazer, as I fire off another Lazy Laser~!” As Merak sang this, Pom was of the opinion that she wished they could stop singing at this point and just focus on fighting.

Unfortunately for Pom she was a being of the planet Equus. Rhythm, music and a zest for life was in the blood of all creatures from said planet… even meek individuals or those with chronic anxiety problems that can’t be cured by medication.

With that thought passing through her head as she exhaled, Pom rolled to the side and quickly leapt to dodge the redirect laser and used the paralance to push off from a portion of the ceiling that was still around.

Even when she closed in on the Air Buster the laser kept being redirected at her, it didn’t even seem to care that it could accidentally hit the barrier drone.

The Air Buster then did something unexpected, while still firing the laser it started turning in place the walls of the building and most of the rubble around was blown out.

Dolly drew Pom’s attention to Mash who was creating a Protect barrier, the beam was being redirected as if through a kaleidoscope using the maximum of the ten portals to the fullest effect to fire out of them at wild seemingly random angles. After hopping over a sweeping beam and dodging to the left and right, she got over to it before the beam could hit her by sliding across the floor into the protective zone.

Once the lazy laser finished, there wasn’t much of anything left of the upper floors… much less the fact that they had existed at one point. The only wall still standing was the one that had been behind Mash, they were all once against completely exposed to the rain, wind and lightning.

Sami had taken some damage from the Lazy Laser targeting her out of the blue as she was in the middle of a harrowing fight without any Rider Zealots left to help her fend off the enemy aerial forces in the area.

The red eye of the Air Buster seemed as menacing as ever, however it was looking around for something.

Fou came slamming down and pile driving the right flying mechanical hand right into the Air Buster’s barrier, the barrier drone protecting the Air Buster strained and started to show signs that it wasn’t able to stand up to the force.

The barrier drone barely managed to hold itself together as it bounced Fou away and the right mechanical hand lost the beam emitting tips of its fingers from the repelling force of the magitek barrier. Said mechanical hand was now at Fou’s mercy as he fell with it down the side of the tower near where Krosserdog went down. Pom knew that Fou had very little of that after the earlier blow that sent him flying.

“You’re time- there is not more to lend~!” Merak stated haughtily as the countdown timer closed in to finishing off with two minutes remaining. “You’re not- liable to see beyond the end, so I say- that there is no way you’ll win~!

“Not unless we fight back, we’ve got the knack, since true strength is what you lack~!” Canard added as he came down and jammed his hockey stick blade first into the barrier drone and then kicked off while pulling it free. He landed facing the Air Buster with a clear look of determination in his eyes. “We’re still in the fight, show off team works might, we’re not done here yet right~!”

Canard sent an exploding digital puck slamming rocking the armless machine back and all its weapon malfunctioned at the same time.

Even if its weapons were working the Air Buster only had projectiles and fire left.

Canard charged and putting one foot on the lower torso he struck up at the upper torso with the blade of his hockey stick with several stylistic slices.

“How much more can you take, here there is limits to break, a powerful Cross-Slash coming from this drake~!” A downward slash followed by slash that was shaped like a hockey stick, after that Canard did two incredibly fast slashes that had Pom mystified at the speed.

Canard created some kind of symbol in the air, he had warped the armor with each strike and the final one opened a rent in the armor where she could faintly see one of Merak’s eyes widening in terror before ducking out of the way.

The diffusion beam firing chest parts were swiftly destroyed by Artoria swing her sword through it.

Pom leapt forward and bluntly brought the Paralance down cracking the armor more, she then proceeded to attempt to stab at the opening where Merak was with a leap, Lit and Dolly were joining her in the assault along with Canard, Artoria and Mash.

The Air Buster exploded outwards sending all the attackers tumbling as Merak’s floating throne rose out of the destroyed remains, a completely immaculate combat ready throne too. He crossed one leg over the other leaned back and snapped the fingers on his left paw, the lemming grinned as the timer his zero.

-Pom-

Dormarch did you…

“Did you really think the timer was connected to the Air Buster?” Merak stated scathingly, with a wicked grin on his lemming face. “So long, thanks for playing, you weren’t as smart as you think you are if it took you that long to wear down the Air Buster, I’ll just have to rebuild when I come back from the complete destruction of the city in three… two… one!”

-Bird Eye View-

Numerous explosions sound off in the rumbling city and almost half the entirety of the upper city started collapsed downwards into the lower city as a green glow came up from beneath the collapsing portions.

Said portions were all underneath the Mother Eater who was approaching a critical threshold as to be completely unstoppable except by a number of Mega level digimon doubling that of the first Eater incursion of the digital realms. Even then that still might not have been enough to deal with the massive gargantuan threat.

Every MAKO reactor, powered by the souls of trillions of those killed by Moon Cell’s apocalyptic happenings before civilizations could get off their planet, exploded.

Pillars of blinding green light consumed more than half the city and the world shook and rumbled violently as the realm threatened to collapse anyway…

That didn’t happen.

The Mother Eater screeched as the toxic rising masses of energy shredded its form rapidly as many souls started attempting to flee Midgar and Moon Cell’s control.

The world shook and thrashed as everyone was blinded by the event.

-A minute after Midgar’s devastation, Pom-

As soon as I could blink my sight back to normal I just stared at the massive portion of the city was just… gone… nothing… it was horrifying that such things existed at some point and that this could have been the end result.

“Wha… WHAT?! What just happened, you, but… what… no really… WHAT?!” Merak looked confused, guess he was too lazy to figure out that Dormarch succeeded in setting the trigger for the Eater destruction plan to activate with his countdown time.

We managed to take out all the Eaters… and all it took was destroying more than half of a massive soul sucking monstrous city with no sense of safety in mind… heh…

“Woo, we’re alive!” Dolly barked in celebration while raising both her paws in the air and catching the stone bone as it came back down, then she looked at the destruction that we just caused in the name of dealing with the Mother Eater indirectly again. “Whoa… that… is going to be the biggest swimming pool to ever exist.”

I am so glad I didn’t have to worry about the NPCS living here… I could only imagine the trouble we would have had if we had to evacuate that portion of the city completely before it self-destructed. Quite glad that possibly freed a lot of souls from torment even, I feel lighter somehow.

“Well… our distracting you worked.” I finally said after realizing we were still alive.

“Distracting?!” Merak seethed. What did he think we were fighting him for? “You’ll still have to face me and I still have plenty of assault programs to take you on! For you to take this realm you still have to deal with me and I’ll make you fight for every inch of...?!”

As Mash and Artoria moved to start fighting the EPs, that had been stunned by the radiant soul eruption pillars, which were beginning to go on the attack again. Only for a blinding cone of light to shine forth from the top of a building.

Merak had been looking in the direction of said familiar cone and immediately turned to stone. His floating throne, unbalanced by his new weight, tilted forward and he promptly fell from it unable to do anything other than fall.

The stone form of Merak fell towards the streets far below, the frozen statue twisting and turning… Merak being too weak to break free from the stone or see where he was falling to even use a portal to save himself, likely too disoriented to even try at this point if I were him, was basically all but defeated.

We all moved to the edge to watch as he struck the street and his statue shattered, the EPs that we stopped paying attention to that were going to attack us disappeared as the realm was captured with Merak’s defeat.

Canard groaned and fell over, yeah… I could feel that too Canard… I needed Sitrus Berries.

“Guys?!” Oh good, Quetal and Dormy were here… feeling a bit light headed from the recent blood loss...

Attacking Moon Cell directly would come next and I needed all the rest I could get so… I’m just going to… just going to take a nap now… so physically tired…

The clouds parted as I flopped onto my side and looked at the sunlight shining through the quickly parting clouds as more and more light and heat fell onto the rooftop.

I closed my eyes in the warmth on the soggy sopping wet mess that was this building.

-Rooftop, Elise-

“Okay, I’ve done what I wanted to do… go ahead.” I turned to face Copen without an ounce of fear in my heart, I was quite satisfied at having gotten revenge on Merak for all the suffering my soul has gone through. “I’ll not fight it, as I promised.”

Copen raised his gun, energy began charging on it and he looked at Lola the round sphere with two long yellow eyes.

Lola floated next to Copen looking between us worriedly, kind of strange that she could show so much emotion for a little sphere.

I closed my eyes, put my hands up in a prayer and bowed my head to the ground while folding my hood inwards.

I’m sorry that you wasted so much time and energy on me Pom…

Copen the Slayer Dragon fired at me, the blazing heat of the energy could be felt coming for me and I didn’t move an inch to save myself.

-Moon Cell-

It had been preparing for this eventuality and was ready for the intruders for them to come into it's main realm the center of it all.

It was also...
