Three years had passed since Sunset and Goku arrived on the lookout. Sunset was stretching on the lookout with Goku, Kami waved his hand as walked out of the building “The 22nd Tenkaichi Budoukai is going to begin today, normally I wouldn’t suggest this but as the winner of the lats tournament you are obligated to go. The truth is I have little left to teach you.”

Goku bowed “Thank for everything, Master Kami.”

Kami chuckled “I am no master, just a teacher. Now both of you do your best, I will be observing you two.”

Sunset frowned “Do we have permission to tell people we trained under you?”

Kami nodded “Yes but you must make it clear that if I wish to train someone it will be my choice. I pick those I deem worthy of my training.” Goku and Sunset nodded, they then waved before flying towards the tournament island.

They landed and waled onto the grounds, they walked towards the registration desk. The monk manning the register smiled “You two are the first here, names.”

Sunset nodded “Son Goku and Sunset Shimmer.”

The man smiled as put their names down “The victor of the last tournament and her son, very well. Wait inside, countless others will soon occupy the tournament grounds.” Hours later, Sunset and Goku sensed three people that weren't Roshi or his students with pretty high powers.

The three of them approached, one was a tall man with three eyes, the second was short being with white skin and the other was an older man about medium height. Sunset could feel malicious intent in all of them, especially the older man. The older man frowned looking at their marital arts gis “More of Kame Sennin’s students, I see. I’m Tsuru Sennin, also known as Master Shen.”

Sunset frowned “We graduated about three years ago, we have been training under Kami since then. He does not extend the offer to many.”

Shen growled “Why would the Guardian of Earth pick Roshi’s inferior Turtle School over my superior Crane School!”

Goku frowned “Your words mean nothing, let your students actions be the judge.”

Shen stormed off gesturing to his students “Tien, Chiatzou follow me!”

Roshi walked in with Bulma, Yamcha, Jackie and Krillin. They smirked, Bulma had the strongest energy out of the four students. Roshi frowned “I see you just met up with Master Shen.”

Sunset frowned “I don’t like him, seems like a man with no positive qualities in him.” It was the announced that preliminaries were about begin, Sunset, Goku, Bulma, Yamcha, Jackie and Krillin entered the preliminaries area.

Sunset looked around “There seem to be so many more people here than last time.” Everyone soon collected their numbers and matches began. Most of them went rather smoothly until Yamcha ended up in the ring with Tien.

Yamcha growled “I’m not going to lose to you!”

Tien smirked “We’ll see.” The pair leapt around the ring exchanging punches and kicks, Tien got in a lucky kick knocking Yamcha back. Yamcha growled “Alright time for something new I picked up.” He puts his hands together “Kamehameha!” The blast flies towards Tien, Tien holds his fingers together and repels it sending back toward Yamcha.

Yamcha laps into the air only to get struck with a massive kick to the back from Tien sending him to the ground unconscious. The announcer shouts “The winner is Tien!” Now to… Tien leapt into the air and aimed a kick on at Yamcha’s head.

Everyone except Sunset and Goku blinks wind kicks up and Yamcha seemingly dissapeared as Tien’s kick hits the ground. Everyone turns to see Bulma holding Yamcha over her shoulder, Krillin frowned “I’m surprised you saved him?”

Bulma rolled her eyes “I may hate his guts but that doesn’t mean I’m going to let him die. I need to speak to that Tien, that is not a proper for a martial artist to behave.”

After Preliminaries all the matches were soon announced as Tien vs Bulma, Krillin vs Jackie, Goku vs Chiatzou and Sunset vs Panput. The announcer shouted “The first match is between Bulma, a student of Master Roshi and Tien Shinhan, a student of Master Shen.”

Bulma walked onto the stage and frowned at Tien “Let me guess you want to kill me, don’t you? What do you really want from all this, just to be another Assassin like the famed Taopaipai?”

Tien grinned “Well of course I do and the first step will to end you.” Tien leapt forward to attack only to receive three rapid blows to the gut.

He stumbled back as Bulma shrugged “Really, was that it. Come at me.”

Tien growled as he shouted “Taiyoken!” A huge flash of light emerged blinding everyone except the announcer, Roshi and Sunset.

Bulma felt a punch slam her head into the ground, she shook it off and stood up “That was impressive, but please stop holding back on me.” Bulma rushed at him only to feel a slight stop her movement, only for Tien’s punch to collide with her face. Bulma frowned “Was that you, I mean that was some tricky technique you somehow halted my movement.”

Tien shouted as he leapt at her “I didn’t do anything!”

Bulma leapt backwards “Are you really okay with someone intervening in our fight! Someone cheating us both out of proving our true strength, our true ability!”

Tien shook his head and crossed his arms “I am not!” He turned to Chiatzou and Shen “Stop intervening in my fight, I want to win this fight with my own ability!”

Shen snarled “Finish that girl!”

Tien growled “No, I want to prove myself worthy with my own power!”

Shen growled “Fine, Chiatzou immobilise them!” Chiatzou didn’t, Shen shouted “Chiatzou, do as I say or I’ll kill you…”

Sunset had knocked him out with a chop to the neck “You two carry on your fight.”

Tien turned to Bulma “Let’s finish this fight.” He began to focus and soon two extra arms formed out of his back “Now then I will beat you and win this Tournament! Taopaipai was too much like my master, I will become a better fighter my way!”

Bulma dodged the punches and delivered a massive punch to his stomach “Sometimes a fight comes down to the basics.”

Tien winced “Alright, you better dodge this attack of else you won’t be able to win.” Tien flew into the air.

Chiatzou shouted “Tien, don’t do it!”

Roshi shouted “It’s not too late to stop this!”

Tien began charging energy into his hand, Bulma charged energy into her hand and shouted “Kamehameha!” The energy flew out of her hand hitting Tien, she then leapt up as he fell kicking him out of the ring.

Roshi's jaw dropped as Bulma was announced the winner “She figured out to do a small version of my ultimate technique with one hand!”
