Silence was all that was present as the stallion walks through the town.
He looked around to see other Ponies, they looked at him weirdly. His horn was glowing gray, and the suitcase next to him was rolling.
'Boss, they're staring at us.'
'It seems so, remember do NOT freak out.' Purp said to Dust.
'I-I know, I'm s-still unnerved by their stares, e-even though I don't know what they l-look like. I only know, what is their silhouettes, not the colors of their coats, and manes.'
'We know, just go up to one, and ask for directions.'
He took a large gulp, then slowly trotting to one of the ponies that was near him.
The perspective changes to Dust's perspective. It shows a gray silhouette of a pony, who had a feminine figure, it had curly mane, and tail. Also the pony seem to be a unicorn, considering there was a horn on their head, and the horn was glowing, but due to his spell, it was just glowing white for him.
"H-Hello, m-my name Glass Dust." He greeted himself to a pony.
The unicorn silhouette stopped as the horn to stop glowing, then hearing something gently hitting the ground.
The silhouette turned to Dust, to which he flinches.
"Oh, greetings there, darling." A mare's voice greeted.
'Okay, you're doing great boss!' Brick encourages him.
'Yeah! Keep it up!
'Anyway, judging from the voice, they are a mare. Now just ask the directions to where the Townhall is.' Purp instructed.
Full name Glass Dust took a large gulp, then asking. "H-Hello... Again, S-So, can y-you give me instructions to the Townhall, please?"
The mare seem to stare at him for a moment. Then pointing to the side. "Over there, darling." She instructed.
Dust chuckled nervously. "U-Umm... M-Miss, would you mind to be more... Specific? Since you know?" He taps on his blindfold.
She seems to gasp. "Oh, I'm so sorry darling, I'm soo inconsiderate." She places her hoof on her forehead. "I'm deeply sorry for not noticing your predicament."
The stallion chuckled nervously. "It's alright, miss. Everypony makes mistakes." He said.
She shakes her head. "I see, thank you for being kind, so, may I ask. Are you blind?" The mare asked.
"W-Well..."
'Boss, just say the truth.'
'I could not agree more.'
'But, wouldn't that destroy on what we builded on?' Blue asked.
'Huh?'
'Oh not that truth! The other truth.' Purp said as he got what Blue's comment meant.
'Oooh! The one that we have poor eyesight?'
'Yes!'
'But, why can't we just wear our glasses?' Blue asked.
'Because, it'll show our eyes, remember what happen last time we wore those.'
The stallion seem to shiver a bit. The mare seem to noticed as she asks. "Are you all right, darling?"
He quickly nodded and replied. "Y-Yeah... Just thinking of not soo good memories."
Her silhouette stared at him. "Oh, was it my fault?"
He shook his head. "No..." She nods. "Anyway, would you like me to help you there?" She asked the blindfolded stallion.
"Y-Yeah, sure." He nods, her silhouette nods as her horn seem to glow again. "Follow me, I will lead you there, darling."
She starts to trot away as Glass Dust followed her.
'Alright! You did it, boss!'
'Wowie! Good job!'
'Great job, just follow her, and maybe trying to do small talk with her. Try to be nice, you are doing great job.'
He silently chuckled. 'Okay, I-I think I c-can do this.'
"Don't worry darling, the Townhall is not too far away."
Glass Dust nervously chuckled. "T-Thank you, b-but I-i'm not blind, just my eyesight is very bad." He explained.
The mare nodded. "It is all right, darling, oh I forgot to introduce myself, you may call me Rarity." She introduced herself.
"O-Oh, thank you, miss Rarity."
She chuckled. "No need to call me miss, Glass Dust."
Stallion nodded. "Got it."
As they trotted to the Townhall. "So, Glass Dust, may I ask, why are you here?" She asked.
"J-Just I've heard this place is quiet place, and it seem to be a nice place to lay down." He answered.
"Oh! What is your special talent, may I ask?"
"Uhh... Its about my knowledge about Chemicals, actually I'm a former scientist." He replied.
Her silhouette stopped for a moment. She turned him. "Really? Huh, would not have guess that you are a scientist."
"Former scientist. I'm not a scientist, not ever again."
She raised a brow, a little confused by the last response. "Hmm... Intruiging may I ask why?"
He flinched, she noticed. "O-Oh, sorry if I made you remember something bad." She apologized. She mentally noted to not ask again about his job.
"I-its fine..."
"May I ask on why you are not using something to help yourself see better?" She asked.
He flinched again, but answered. "W-Well, I prefer this way, If you don't notice my horn, it's helping me see, I see things that are coated in magic or something like that, it's been awhile since I have to explain this spell, but this is the best explanation that I can give in this moment. And It's still in it's experimental phase."
She nods. He felt that she smiled at him. "Wow, that's incredible!"
He felt his cheeks heat up. "T-Thank you, i-its not a big deal."
"Oh, but it is! If more ponies know about this spell, you could help many ponies, darling where did you learn this?"
His cheeks heated more. "I-its still in experimental phase, I'm the o-only one that know this spell, since I AM the one that evented this spell."
He felt her eyes widen. "Darling... That's... Incredible!"
'Wow, boss, I've never heard you talk like this before.' Brick said in shock.
'Yeah! When did you talk like this?! Because I wanna know!'
'W-Well, I used talked like this, when I was a scientist.' He mentally explained to the voices.
'Woah! Really?'
'Yeah...'
'Intresting...'
"M-Miss Rarity, please d-don't tell anyone, it's still in the experimental phase, I do not know, what are the consequences, if this spell is used long. Until I'm p-perfected this, I'll reveal this to the world, o-okay?" Dust requested the mare.
He looked at the silhouette. She seem to register his request. "O-Oh, I see, I am deeply sorry for my outburst then."
He waved his hoof around. "No need, I-I know I maybe selfish, but I need to p-perfect this spell first, b-before I at LEAST teach this spell to someone, because I do not want a-anypony getting hurt by my spell."
She nods. "Of course."
The mare turned. "Let's continue our way to the Townhall."
The gray coated stallion nodded. "Very well, l-lead the way."
She walks Dust Glass to where the Townhall was.
The screen shows the Townhall of Ponyville.
Finally the mare that was next to Dust Glass was revealed. She had a purple curly mane, and tail. Her coat was white as chalk, and blue eyes. Finally her cutiemark was three light blue diamonds. She also had a package in a sapphire glow around it.
The two got to the Townhall. "Here we are, darling." She says to the unicorn.
"T-Thank you, Rarity."
She smiled. "No need, Darling, it was a pleasure in helping you."
He nodded. "But, I must be going, I have thing to do." Rarity says apologeticly.
"V-Very well, goodbye Rarity." The unicorn stallion nodded.
She starts to trot away from the unicorn.
He turns to the Townhall. 'Okay... How am I gonna do this?' He thought as he saw a silhouette inside of the building.
'Okay, Dust. Move forward, open the door, and ask about our appointment.'
'Wait... Appointment?'
'Yeah, appointment. I made one, it is for the house that I purchase near the edge of town. Did I forget to say that?'
'...'
'Oh, I am sorry, that I did not say that before, but we need to get to the office.'
'Got it.' He moved forward-
"Ow!"
And walked horn first at the door.
He hiss in pain. "Ow..."
'Oooh... Boss, ya alright?'
'Y-Yeah.' He brought up his hoof to the door. He tries to find the doorknob.
He finally found it. 'Ah-Ha!' He coated the knob with his metallic glow. He twisted the knob as he slowly walks into the building.
He looks around, then sniffing the area, and his ears twitch to try to hear any sound near him.
He started to slowly walk through the halls. 'Okay, I need to be careful, I see the silhouette on the end of the hall, so if I be carefu-'
*Bonk*
"Ow!" He walks chest first to a table.
'Ya alright there, boss?'
'Y-Yeah, that was just unexpected.'
Be more careful.'
'I mean, I really can't, I don't see where I'm going! Just the sillhouete of a pony down the hall, just it!'
'Speedrun it!'
He shakes his head. 'Yeah, you're probably right.'
He adjusted himself. 'Let's do this.'
He starts to run. "Ah!-
The screen showed the office of the Mayor of Ponyville.
A mare was in her seat as she reads through paperwork. She groans as she puts her face down to her table.
The mayor raise her head to show her violet eyes.
The mayor had a light Amber coat with a gray-ish mane with a white cerise streak on her mane, and tail. Her cutiemark is a scroll wrapped by a blue ribbon.
She groans as she looks at the paperwork.
'This is sooo much...'
*Crash*
She heard something break behind her door. She stares at her door for a moment. Then the crashing continued.
*Crash*
*Crash*
*Crash*
She narrows her eyes as her doorknob started to twist. 'Is that vandalist? In my town?' She thought, but the door opened to reveal a out of breath Glass Dust.
"S-Sorry, if I... I made a ruckus." He apologized.
The mayor of Ponyville blinks. "Uh... You might you be?" She asked.
He takes a few quick breaths, before adjusting himself. "I... I'm Glass Dust, I'm h-here for my appointment."
The mare nodded as she looks down at the papers.
She sighs. But she moves to the paper around to find the name. "Glass Dust, right?" She asked as she shuffled through paperwork.
The called stallion nods. "Y-Yup, here I am."
The mare nods as she gets a paper. "Here we go, Glass Dust."
She starts to read the paper as Glass Dust waited patiently for her next words.
"You're here for a house, that's on the edge of my town?" She asked.
He nods. "Y-Yeah, so, uh, what do I call you?" Dust asked the mare.
"Oh, you may call me Mayor Mare."
He blinked. "Ookay? W-Weird name, I mean, i'm not judging, it's just weird."
Mayor Mare chuckled. "Yeah... Got that reaction multiple times, my parents seem to know what was my future."
Glass Dust chuckled nervously as he brought in his suitcase from behind the door. "O-Okay, how much is it?"
"About 140 Bits." She replied.
He opens the suitcase to reveal, several things, like a couple of pouch of things, glasses, and some clothes.
'W-Where is it?'
'The right one, I know, you can't see, just reach for the right one.'
The stallion nods as he reaches for the right one, he touches the pouch. Then his horn started to glow brighter as the pouch was enveloped in a gray glow. It floated to Mayor Mare. "T-There."
She nodded as she grabs the pouch. She opens it. "Okay, seems about right." She grabs a key from a cabinet in her table. "Okay, here you go."
"Uhh..." He slowly trotted to her, he didn't saw the key, but he noticed her hoof was extended. He activated his magic, and engulfed the key in his magic. It floated to him. He grabs it as he places inside of his hair. "T-Thank you."
Mayor Mare smiled. "Its nothing." Noticing his blindfold. "Are you blind, sir?"
He rubs the back of his head with his hoof. "I-I mean, kinda? Just have a bad eyesight, it's better this way." He explained.
She blinked, but didn't question. "Very well, hope your stay in Ponyville will be a treat for you."
Glass Dust smiled. "I hope so too."
He turns, and was about to walk out, but. "D-Do you have a map of Ponyville?" He sheepishly asked.
The Mayor of Ponyville blinked.
He was outside of the Townhall with a map in his magic. His suitcase beside him, he stared blankly at the map.
'Okay, that actually went well. Good job.'
He felt pride swell up from his chest. 'T-Thank you. Okay, just need to focus a bit.'
The screen changes to his point of view. As he did this, he didn't notice the lake of Ponies near him. But gray glow appeared in his vision. A map of sorts appeared in the darkness.
'Okay, glad I had this spell.'
'Its pretty useful, so we need to get there.'
'Soooo... Can I be the one that is in control? Can I? Can I? Can I? I'll be fast! I promise!'
'No.' Purp said sternly.
'Awww...'
'Alright, let's do this.' He starts to trot away to try, and navigate to his new home.
The night sky was shown, before switching the view to show the unicorn walking through the edge of Ponyville. 'Damn, its really hard to navigate even with this map.'
'Kinda makes sense, we're basically guessing where we're going.'
'Yeah...'
He then stopped infront of small white house.
'Do you see them?'
The screen changes to his vision.
From his spell, he sees multiple silhouettes of ponies infront of him.
'Maybe we went to a wrong turn.'
He looked down at the silhouette of a map. 'Nope, from what I can tell, we went to the right way, boss.'
'M-Maybe, they're just outside of the house, h-having a gathering of sorts.' He said to the voices.
'Maybe so, but we can't tell, let us just hope, it is true.'
Glass Dust gulped as the screen changes back to show him slowly walking to the door of the house.
With the help of the map, he was able to get to the door quickly. But he had trouble of finding the doorknob.
He puts his hoof at the door, trying to find the doorknob. Eventually he found it. 'Gotcha!'
'Good work, boss!'
'Nice! We can finally take a nap!'
'Nap? I thought, I would not hear that word from your mouth, or lack there of for that matter.'
'Hey! When did we sleep in an actually bed that we own before?'
'Fair enough.'
Glass Dust ignored them as he reached for the key in his hair. He quickly place the key in his magic hold.
He tried to insert the key into the keyhole.
Keyword, tried.
'Come on!'
He mentally yelled as he had trouble of inserting the key into the knob.
'Little bit on left, boss.'
'I'm trying!'
'Maybe a bit up?'
'That is not helping, Blue.'
'Hey! At least I'm trying.'
'... Fair enough.'
But eventually.
*Click*
He got it.
'Hah! Gotcha!'
'That's great, boss!'
'Awesome!'
'Good work.'
He removed the key as he place it back in his hair. He coated the doorknob with his magic as he started to twist it open.
'Finally.'
He slowly opens the door.
'I can finally rela-'
"SURPRISE!!!'
