Vampire Bat Problems in the Apple Farm

"And there, that should be enough apples for the day." Applejack placed the last basket down next to a bunch of other baskets full of apples.

Applejack let out a sigh of relief before looking over to see some of the empty trees she cleared out cleans to the use of her earth magic to shake most the trees around herself, it would've been longer if she didn't have this kind of magic and the skills to help her with farming works.

"This place sure looks mighty cleared, even though there still of plenty trees to go." Applejack said.

"Applejack! Applejack!" A girl called out from within the orchard.

"I'm over here, Applebloom!" Applejack responded to her little sister.

"Hey Applejack, Granny Smith sent me here to see if you're almost done with the area, she task you to get." Apple Bloom greeted her big sister.

Apple Bloom is a girl who has red hair, and brilliant gamboge eyes. She wears a big reddish-pink bow at the back of her head, light-green shirt, blue shorts, and orange boots with a flower on the side and red at the bottom. Breasts sizes: C-cup.

"I just finish with the area, as you can see." Applejack gestured over to the baskets of apples to her right.

"Wow, that's a lot, no matter how many times I see this." Apple Bloom amazed.

"All comes with being an Apple." Applejack smiled.

"So, are we going to sell all these apples at the market today?" Apple Bloom asked.

"That's the plan, and if we can't sell all of them here then we can ship them off to the other town." Applejack said.

"Okay, I'll help!" Apple Bloom said as she picks up one apple basket.

Applejack chuckles when seeing how much her little sister wants to help the family with the apple farm with the chores and such, she can tell that she's going to be a lot more help when she gets older to her age in the near future.

"(I wonder how those girls and their Dragon Lord are doing, maybe they wouldn't mind if I join them on a little adventure.)" Applejack thought wondered about that little group.

"Ow!" Apple Bloom winced when she felt something hit her head from above.

"Huh, what in billy-filly was that?" Apple Bloom asked as she looks around and found what looks like an apple.

"Did an apple fell off the basket." Apple Bloom carefully picked up the apple while holding the basket up.

"What the… This doesn't look like a fresh apple." Apple Bloom looked the fruit seeing that it's all shrivel like all the moisture had been suck right out.

"Is something wrong, little sister?" Applejack asked, walking up to her.

"I just found this dried up and shrivel apple." Apple Bloom showed the shrivel apple.

"Shrivel apple? That's odd, I was sure there wasn't any shrivel apples in trees nor baskets." Applejack surprised as she took the shrivel apple from Apple Bloom.

"Well, it fell on my head and thought it came from one of the trees." Apple Bloom looked up at a few of the apple trees.

"That can't be right, we did a full checkup on all the apples around the farm and not a single one was like this." Applejack found this to be very weird.

That is until Applejack noticed something odd from the shrivel apple in her hand as she looks at one side closely, seeing what appears to be two small holes close to each other and it looks like these holes were made by some sharp at the same time.

"Odd, I feel like I've seen those holes before." Applejack looked closer at the holes.

Apple Bloom notice something from behind and in the sky that seems to be coming this way, she tries to look at it more as she narrows her eyes, she still couldn't tell what it is for a moment until she finally saw what they are and she became scared upon seeing this.

"Huh, Applejack…" Apple Bloom gulped.

"Hold on, Apple Bloom. I think I'm close to remembering what these holes are." Applejack said, still looking at the shrivel apple.

"Does it involve really big bats?" Apple Bloom asked, her body started to shake in fear.

"Bat? Bats! Of course, these holes make sense now." Applejack realized.

"But wait, I thought fruit bats were already… gone?" Applejack said as Apple Bloom turned her big sister around to see the bat creatures herself.

"What in Nally?!" Applejack gasped.

Then large shadows of these bat creatures came over the two Apple sisters as the younger one hugs onto her big sister.

(With Spike and Girls)

"Okay, are you girls ready?" Pinkie asked as she handed out a plate of three cupcakes, one of each of her party members and dragon lover.

"So, you called us here to try out some cupcakes?" Sunset asked.

"Not just any cupcakes, I have discovered a way to combine the sweetness with some spicy sauce to give them a heated kick along with the awesome sweetness of the cupcakes to balance them." Pinkie explained.

"Combining sweet and spicy, I have heard about the balance of sour and sweet, but never anything like hot sauce in the mix." Spike admitted.

"Neither have I, are you sure these are safe to eat?" Twilight asked, looking a bit concern.

"Of course, I cooked them myself." Pinkie assured.

All three look at each other for a moment believing this might be a safe thing to eat since it was Pinkie who made them, and she knows her way with sweets like a professional baker, so these must be safe to eat.

"Okay, let's eat up." Spike declared and took a bite of the cupcake.

Sunset and Twilight also took a bite or two of their cupcakes, hoping that nothing may happen during their downtime.

"Well, what do you think?" Pinkie asked, smiling for hope.

"I gotta say, this cupcake is very tasty, and I can definitely feel some burn on my tongue but not as intense as I thought." Sunset commented.

"I believe you have made such divine cupcakes for even a Dragon Lord such as myself can consume to the enjoyment of parities that my tongue is having right now." Spike smiled proudly before eating half the cupcake in one bite.

"Really? I thought my new hot cupcakes would taste hotter and making you sweat like crazy even if it just a little." Pinkie surprised.

"You mean like what's happening to Twilight right now?" Sunset looked over at the twitching Twilight.

Twilight's face is looking like she's about to panic like crazy with sweats pouring in from her face and the floor is looking red as well, her breathing is panting rapidly while fanning herself with one hand and still holding the cupcake with the other.

"Pinkie… Just what kind of hot sauce did you put in this?" Twilight asked.

"Well, since it was my since hot cupcake I made, I decided to use the mild hot sauce along with some little chili peppers." Pinkie answered, showing the little peppers from her hair.

"I think you succeed in burning my insides!" Twilight gasped and quickly drank her water, but the heat wasn't going down.

"The water isn't working?!" Twilight screamed.

"Because you need cold water or milk to truly calm down the heat on your taste buds." Spike started and conjure a ball of size that is big enough for a mouth.

"Here, try cooling yourself down with this." Spike handed Twilight the ice ball which she quickly snatches it and place the ice ball in her mouth.

Steam started to come out from the intense heat that is emitting from her mouth for a few seconds and the heat melted the ice turning it into water, but that was enough to calm the heat and Twilight is safe from the heat of the hot cupcake.

"Oh yeah, I definitely needed that." Twilight sighed in relief.

"Fluttershy?!" Applejack called out when she came rushing into the Wondercolt Guild.

"Where's Fluttershy? I need her help really badly!" Applejack asked around, but nobody knew where Fluttershy is.

"Oh, sounds like another adventure in helping those in need!" Pinkie excitedly.

Spike stands up and just moves a few feet from the table and just when Applejack was about to move past the dragon boy, he grabs her by the back of her shirt to stop her from running anymore.

"Perhaps me and my party can help you." Spike said.

"Spike, and you three! Have you by any chance seen Fluttershy?" Applejack asked.

"I think we've seen her two days ago, something about helping a party group getting past some deadly snakes with bladed tails." Sunset remembered that.

"Oh shoot, that's right! She won't be back for another three days! What am I gonna do?" Applejack worried.

"Easy Applejack, how about you tell us what's going on." Twilight said.

"Or better yet, how about you take us to your family's farm and show us the problem so we can help in any way we can because that's what friends do." Pinkie smiled, offering the cowgirl to help.

Applejack felt touch from the words that came out of this silly girl's mouth and can see in all of their eyes that they really want to help her, even the tough Dragon Lord is willing to her help despite being a little high and mighty on himself.

"Okay, follow me." Applejack nodded.

(Sweet Apple Acers)

Spike and the girls were amazed at the sight when they arrived at Applejack's family apple farm where they can see apple trees and lots of them, it's almost like a sea of apple trees.

"Okay ya'll, I know the scenery is great and all, but we got to deal with this problem fast or else things might get hairy." Applejack said as she walks in a hurry pace.

"So, what exactly is this problem on your family's farm?" Sunset asked.

"Well, every year, the farm gets visited by some vampire fruit bats that comes to eat some of the apples and help with planting new apple trees by leaving behind the seeds for us to use which is a big help with the orchard." Applejack explained about some bats.

"Wow, sounds like a great way for mother nature and the people to work together likw with out magic." Sunset commented smiling.

"You can say that again, ma family actually had a grudge against those bats for years until three years ago that the feud finally ended with Fluttershy's help." Applejack mentioned.

"How does she do that?" Pinkie asked.

"Fluttershy has a special skill that allows her to communicate and be friends with any animals she meets, even the most dangerous and vicious animals in all the land!" Applejack explained.

"Surely, that's exaggerating, she can't have befriended all the animals?" Twilight stated.

"Maybe not, but that doesn't stop her from trying." Applejack said.

"So, this story involves the explanation with the fruits that is strangely messing up with your trees?" Sunset guessed.

"Not exactly the fruit bats were already here just last week and the bats that are causing trouble are…" Applejack stopped her sentence when they heard a loud screech coming from above.

"That!" Applejack shouted as she turns around and looked up.

Everyone look up seeing a man-size bat that is almost jet-black color with some red color on the eyes and sharp body parts like the fangs and feet, it came swooping down but they were able to duck just in time to dodge it.

"Giant monster bats, like the one in that dungeon we went on before?" Spike asked surprise.

"I don't think those are the same ones, that one is a different specie and certainly this one is the Black Death Vampire bats that usually lives in dark caves anywhere like in the Everfree Forest like the Timber Wolves." Twilight pointed out.

"And there are more of them!" Applejack pointed at a whole bunch of Death Black Bats tearing down apple trees and sucking them all shriveled and try.

But every time the bat monsters would suck the juice from the apples, they would screech in anger and go wild again before going to suck another apple and they would also keep causing trouble with breaking down the trees.

"They've been destroying the trees here since earlier today, I've been trying to fend them off with ma earth magic and super strength skill, but these vermin are resilient and won't stay down for long." Applejack warned.

"Applejack! HELP!" Apple Bloom called out in fear.

"Apple Bloom!" Applejack gasped.

Apple Bloom is being bounced between four Black Death Bats like they're a bouncing ball as they laugh while the little farm girls cry in pain.

Seeing this makes Spike angry as he flew up at blinding speed to knocked away those Black Death Bats with just his tail at the same time and caught Apple Bloom in his arms before floating down back to the girls.

"I tried to tell them to leave, but they just treated me like a ball." Apple Bloom explained.

"Don't worry, little sis, you're safe now." Applejack hugged Apple Bloom, but too tightly that the girl is struggling to breathe.

Twilight over to see one of the Black Death Bats eating another apple using two of its smaller fangs right between the bigger fangs, then it goes crazy like the others do.

"Okay, now that's strange." Twilight commented.

Suddenly two Black Death Bats came flying at the group only for Twilight to use her magic to freeze them in place and slams them down onto the ground making little imprint holes from the impact.

"Guys, these bats aren't behaving like they're supposed to be." Twilight informed.

"What do you mean?" Sunset asked while firing some fireballs from her horns and flips over to dodge one bat monster from tackling her from behind.

"We read about these bats and one thing they never do is eating fruits nor vegetables, like the apples and they don't normally come out during the daytime, they only come out twice for every month, and they certainly don't go crazy every time they drain an apple." Twilight pointed out.

Twilight flies up and start shooting down some bats that comes at her and she gather some apples to smack them at the bats like bullets.

"Hey, you're right! They only drink blood and are night timers like regular bats, and they kill any people and creatures that stumble into their caves." Sunset remembered.

Sunset unleash a wave of flames at the bats above while being careful to not burn the trees and apples, then uses her magic to make the apples fly at any bats and explode on impact.

"Oh, doesn't this remind you of how odd the Timberwolves were when we took the request to stop them from bothering the travel path?" Pinkie asked and pulled out her Party Cannon to fire a giant apple cupcake trapping at least ten of the bat monsters.

"She's right, this odd behavior is just back then." Spike said and smacked one Black Death Bat away with a slap from his tail.

Applejack slammed her fists on the round causing several rocks to float around her and she send them against several of the bat monsters, she grabs two of them by the heads and slams them together so hard that they're slightly dented with blood gushing out.

"Focus on saving my farm first!" Applejack said.

"Hold on, I got just the spell." Spike said and held his scepter pointed at the sky.

"Mighty winds, I command you to draw in my enemies with your power! Dragon Twister!" Spike casted a strong spell that forms an astral spirit of a dragon and it spins around in circles faster and faster causing a green aura tornado to form.

"Spike, wait! Those bats are very resistance to wind magic and there are tales about how they can get away from tornados!" Sunset informed.

True to her words, the Black Death Battles are starting to fly away from the tornado despite the strong wind drawing in other things like the trees and apples.

"Not on my watch." Applejack glared and perform another earth magic.

"Gaia Capture Rings!" Applejack created dozens of large rings made of the earth and many more as she can, then have then latch onto bat monsters to stop them from getting away from the tornado as they are not being pulled into it.

"Let see if they like a little fire!" Sunset blasted a big fireball at the tornado to have the entire thing become a flaming tornado that is burning away. Spike helps out with blitzing at the remaining bat monsters sending them into the fire tornado as they are burned alive to death.

"Wow, that Spike guy is amazing, glad you brought him here." Apple Bloom commented.

"Yeah, me too." Applejack smiled and felt her heart racing a bit.

"(Not really sure if there's a connection with the Timberwolves attacking travels out of nowhere and now these bat creatures, it's almost like someone is making leave their comfort zone.)" Spike thought looked firm, getting a sneaky feeling there's a hidden shadow player within this mystery.
