How to NOT Summon a Dragon Lord
Sweet Delivery with a Demonic Roadblock
Previous ChapterNext ChapterSweet Delivery with a Demonic Roadblock
Spike and Sunset are seen at the back of the Inn that Medios and Chiffon made when they were making their Inn together, they wanted a little place for the Adventures and other types of warriors to do some workout when they're not out on jobs and such.
"Okay, so you want me to show you a fire spell?" Spike asked Sunset just to be sure of what they're here for.
"Yeah, I kept thinking about that spell you used on those Timberwolves back on that job and thought about doing a spell I read about before." Sunset explained.
"I'm here to help with the note and collecting some data." Twilight informed sitting on the bench.
"And me with the cheering of support for you two!" Pinkie added holding pompoms and her puffy hair in ponytail.
"So, how about showing me that spell you did, I think you called it Draco Meteor." Sunset hoped she got the name right.
"Yes, but it's a very high and powerful spell that took me a long time to master and it was no easy feat getting it either." Spike stated.
"Was it like fifty or a hundred years for you? Because dragons are few of the creatures in the world that have longer lifespans than most others." Sunset mentioned.
"(That would make sense because people in my world would offend make theorizes and tales about creatures being able to live much longer than humans like elves, dwarfs, ogres, and other creatures that includes demons as well.)" Spike thought recalled those things.
"Well, it actually took me only a decade to get the hang of this spell and I practice with it some more to make it stronger." Spike stated with another lie.
"Cool!" Sunset amazed.
"But I don't think you are ready to learn that kind of spell yet, it's very dangerous and perhaps you are not ready for it." Spike stated making Sunset sigh.
"However, I have notice that you would do some hand-to-hand combat most than long-range with your magic." Spike mentioned.
"Well, while I have study magic like Twilight has, I'm more of the kind of girl who likes to get her hands dirty." Sunset said with a grin.
"She tries to drag into getting dirty some time, which literally got me dirty and mess outside of my comfort zone." Twilight said upset.
"Are you still going to be upset about that one time?" Sunset asked.
"It took me two days get the mud out of my ears along with the earwax, all because you thought I could use some more physical activity." Twilight recalled that time.
"But I'm only talking about it just remind you not to put me through that ever again." Twilight pointed out.
"Okay, I got it." Sunset chuckled.
"Just hope we still got time for that job Spike, and I will be going soon, according to Saiyan of the North Star." Pinkie said breaking the fourth wall.
Yes, that will happen and you two may have some fun along the way too.
"Thank you, I can't wait!" Pinkie winked at the Fourth Wall while the others are confused of who is she talking to.
"Anyway, I was thinking of teaching you a close-combat magic spell that can boost your strength and give you more fire power, literally." Spike stated.
"Cool, I happen to love and specialty in fire magic." Sunset bragged with a smirk.
"I seem to notice that which is why I believe this spell is perfect for a fiery spirited girl like you." Spike nodded as he set his scepter down.
"Stand back but watch closely to see how it's done." Spike gestured Sunset to step back a bit which she does.
Spike bend his knees a little and hold his fists close to the side of his chest, taking a deep breath hoping he can perform this move in real life than clicking some buttons on his game controller back at his former home, he just needs to concentrate like he did with the spells he casted so far.
"(Focus, Spike. Think of the fire and your hand merging at one.)" Spike thought with his eyes close.
Tiny green ember started to appear around his fists as only a few came then several more shows up through ever passing second, that is when Spike starts to feel that fire and power within like he feels within with those other spells.
"Fists of Hell!" Spike spread his arms and clashed his fists together causing them to be coated in dark red fire then enter into a fighting stance he saw in a movie once.
"Wow!" Sunset amazed of seeing this kind of offensive magic.
"Amazing, I don't think I've ever read a magic spell that can do that!" Twilight intrigued and started writing this down.
"Go spike, you are on fire! Literally!" Pinkie cheered.
"This spell can increase your physical strength and make your fists hotter to burn through your enemies into ashes, but I think that last part was exaggerated." Spike explained about the spell.
"Amazing, just standing here I can feel the heat from that spell!" Sunset said holding out her hand.
"That's because I made it stronger through some battles and experiences." Spike said.
"(And I also spent some of my points on this skill during my gaming days.)" Spike thought recalled.
"Okay, ready to give it a try?" Spike asked.
"You bet your scales; I am! The others are so going to flip of applesauce when I tell them about this!" Sunset excited.
"Let me show you how try this spell is first." Spike decided to give a little show before teaching Sunset how to do this spell.
Spike jumps high into the air without the use of his wings and looks down at the ground with his right fist reel back for the attack, he launches himself down and threw his fist making contact with the ground as the punch created a giant crater that is the size of two monster trucks together.
The three girls became shocked though with Pinkie, it was more of a happy shock that she never knew her dragon boyfriend can be this strong and wonder what other amazing things he can do with his mighty dragon strength.
"With hard training and focus on this spell you can even do things like that crater I just made." Spike said as he jumps out of the crater.
"Are you fucking kidding me?! There's no way I can do that, it would take me over a hundred years, and I'll be dead by then!" Sunset gasped.
"Come on, I thought you were the kind of girl who would get her hands dirty. Whatever happen to that confident?" Spike smirked, using Sunset's words against her.
"Oh, he got you there, Sunset." Pinkie pointed out.
"Okay, show me how to perform the spell first." Sunset said feeling like her pride was just challenged, and she just accepted that challenge.
"You just got to focus, remove all other thoughts in your mind except for fire. Feel the fire in your soul like you're casting one of you fire spells, only you will focus them more on your fists and imagine flames merging with your hands." Spike instructed.
"Fire merging with my hands, sounds difficult." Sunset commented.
"Everything in life can be difficult even when one is already good with it like a prodigy, work hard and never give up hope even in death as you will do things beyond your wild imagination!" Spike stated strongly and his flaming fists disappears.
Sunset felt her heart racing from hearing those encouraging and strong words that hit her in the core that made her clutch her fists, and a strong smile form on her face as the little speech got her fire up more than before.
"Man, you're definitely a Dragon Lord with how you talk like that for some strong motivation." Sunset pointed out.
"You think so, I rarely do some speeches in my time, and I mostly work alone when I go out adventuring outside of my castle." Spike explained.
"Well, that got me into wanting to do this spell more." Sunset smirked.
Sunset stands in the same stance the young Dragon Lord did to show her the Fists of Hell skill, she remembers the words he told her and imagine her fists making contact with the fire which normally would hurt people without proper protection. But she always felt fire was more natural to her like her spirit is always burning from within, and the warmness of that fire can be stronger like an inferno.
"(Fire of my soul.)" Sunset thought focused on her fire magic into her fists.
Then she instincts scream in her head alerting her to do something right now like wanting to do the fire fist.
"Fists of Hell!" Sunset screamed with all her might and her fists are covered in fire though not in the same color as with Spike.
"Wowie-zowie! Sunset did it!" Pinkie cheered.
"(No way, she was able to perform the skill that easy!)" Spike thought gasped.
"Oh yeah, who's the hottest now?" Sunset smirked exciting.
"Amazing, I never knew you have such talent to do something you've only seen once." Spike impressed with Sunset doing the spell well.
"Thanks, though I'm not sure if I'm really doing it right because the flames aren't the same color as you did." Sunset noticed the fire is brighter like any normal fire.
"It's because you just started using the Fists of Hell and the color means you're at level one, you'll have to train hard to make it stronger to the highest level." Spike explained.
"Oh, so I'm at level one. How many levels does this skill have to get to that dark red color?" Sunset asked.
"Seven, it took me some time to make it to that level." Spike answered.
"Wow, seven, huh? Sounds like a lucky number for me to get." Sunset excited looking at her flaming fists before making the fire vanish.
"My word, Spike just introduce a brand-new, never before seen spell in our world! The mages and fighters are going to flip when they learn about this!" Twilight excited while writing all she just learned now.
"Fun and fun, now come on, Spike! We should go find a job together!" Pinkie dashed away with dragging Spike to the guild.
"Okay, we'll see you two later!" Spike shouted.
(Later)
"Wee! This is so much fun!" Pinkie cheered while riding on Spike's back and holding a basket.
"Be careful, Pinkie! We don't want to lose that basket for the job, otherwise there will be no pay for us." Spike reminded her the purpose of the basket.
"I know, I know, I Pinkie Promise to never let this basket away from me no matter what!" Pinkie saluted and holding the body close to her body.
"I still can't believe you're making us do a sweet delivery for Chiffon to another town." Spike sighed.
"Come on, everyone deserves to have sweets in their life and it's one of my many missions to make sure everyone will enjoy them or at least have a first bite." Pinkie stated strongly.
"Plus, there was also that rumor about a monster blocking the road to that town we're flying above." Pinkie mentioned.
"Oh yeah, I wanted to see if we can get that monster to move." Spike remembered.
"Hmm, you know, now that we're talking about that monster. I wonder if there's a chance it's gonna notice us in the air and try to knock us down." Pinkie said being curious.
"Please, as if an idiot monster can be borrowed to look up at the sky and even if he did, what will he do? Throw a rock at us?" Spike laughed in a slight mocking tone.
"You mean like that giant rock heading towards us dangerous fast?" Pinkie asked looking ahead.
"Rock?" Spike confused until he looks ahead to see the big rock about three times bigger than himself flying towards them.
"Whoa!" Spike quickly dodged the rock with his body about two inches close as he flew around it.
"Good dodge, that would have rocked your world and not in a good way." Pinkie joked a little.
"It looks like that monster doesn't like things flying over him." Spike stated as he looks down seeing something big and nasty looking on the ground and in the middle of the road.
"Looks like we found the monster." Spike said.
"I say we should fight it; other people are also using this road and they can get hurt if they were to encourage that monster." Pinkie pointed out.
"You make a good point, let's do a little road cleaning." Spike dived down with Pinkie holding onto him tight along with the basket of sweets while screaming of excitement.
He saw three more of those giant rocks are thrown at the Dragon Lord, he dodges two of them and hold his scepter in front making a lightning spark and breaks through the rock and lands on the road.
Spike and Pinkie looks up a little to see this monster up close. The monster before them appears to be a giant crocodile with its skin being dry and very hard looking like a rock, vicious dark yellow glowing eyes, and there is a big stinger-like shape rock at the end of the tail.
"Wow, didn't expect this monster to be hard as a rock." Pinkie commented.
"I don't think it's an ordinary monster, Pinkie. This one feel more intense, dark, almost like demonic." Spike glared at the crocodile monster.
The crocodile monster roars at the two before lunching forward to try chomping them in its mouth, but Spike jumps back to dodge it and unleash several fireballs at the rock monster though doesn't seem to do much damage.
"Oh, so you're hungry? Then how about a taste of my exploding sprinkles!" Pinkie threw three bottles of sprinkles at the crocodile monster.
Two explode at the top of its long mouth while the third was very close to its right eye causing it to grunt a bit.
"Doesn't appear to like them." Pinkie noticed.
"You think?" Spike asked sarcastically while preparing to unleash one strong spell.
"(I'll need to setup a target emblem on the monster first.)" Spike thought as he points his scepter at the monster and a small red ball of light was shoot at the back.
"Now, let see if you can handle Draco Meteor!" Spike casted that spell again.
However, instead of all the magic energy blasts comes raining down in a wide area attack like before, they're all going down towards a single spot on the rock crocodile's back causing it to roar in pain as that have seem to make great damage on it.
"Hey, that didn't happen before." Pinkie surprise.
"That's because I casted a target seeking spell that will allow any long-range attacks to hit, they're target even when you miss." Spike explained.
"So cool!" Pinkie jumped onto Spike kissing him on the lips for a second.
Suddenly their little moment was interrupted when the rock crocodile monster roars with its body glowing very dark and dangerous.
"That is one tough rock." Pinkie commented as Spike flew up.
"True, but it appears its body could not handle the attack." Spike spotted cracks on the back.
"Let me have a whack at it, we still have a delivery to make, and I am not going to let that monster get in the way of sweetness!" Pinkie said looking a little serious.
"Very well, be sure to aim for the cracks!" Spike threw Pinkie down as she brought out her hammer.
Spike saw the tail pointed at him and suddenly the giant rocks from before were fired from the stringer tail, he casted a powerful wind magic to send those rocks away.
"(I see, so that's how it threw those rocks at us in the air.)" Spike thought realized.
"Hope you like this back massage!" Pinkie threw one jar of her exploding sprinkles and smash it with her hammer as the sprinkles got inside the cracks with the causing widen them and Pinkie smashing through.
Pinkie jumps off when Spike came in slicing the tail off and using the rocky stringer to stab the monster through the now bigger cracks killing the monster.
"We did it!" Pinkie cheered.
"Yes, now this road will be safer from now on." Spike declared.
Once that was done, Pinkie and Spike went to that other town delivering the sweets to a local barker who was very happy as she gave them the reward and some free treats too.
"Wow, these are good!" Pinkie squealed.
"Yes, the treats are always delicious, especially when you're enjoying them with others." Spike stated.
"Oh, we're going to enjoy something more than sweets." Pinkie winked at the readers.
