Her room was totally silent aside from the low rumble of rush hour traffic outside of her apartment window, giving her the perfect, tranquil atmosphere to gently lower herself into the soft cushions of her brown recliner. She knew that she wouldn’t be able to stay there long, that she had papers to grade and a tea kettle that would start whistling at any moment, but just for a few, blissful seconds, she wanted to lean her head back, close her eyes and let her body fall into the warm hug of her cotton cathedra. For a brief moment, she could forget all about how much her body ached from being on her feet all day or how badly she wanted to break down and cry knowing how far away she was from summer break. Moments, however, never lasted forever, and just as quickly as she’d let her heartbeat recede down to a slow, gentle rhythm, she found herself instinctively attempting to block out the high-pitched call of her tea kettle summoning her back into the kitchen.
The sensation of pulling herself away from her delicate solace was akin to that of actual pain nipping at her fatigued nerve endings. Hopefully once she had a chance to taste her tea and enjoy the decadent flavor of caffeine pouring past her lips, she’d be able to actually come back to reality long enough to focus on the tasks she had at hand. Just because she was finished with her workday didn’t mean that she could sit back and relax for the rest of the night; on the contrary! As a teacher, one of the most underappreciated functioning members of society, even her evenings were spent toiling away pointing out the grammatical flaws and punctuation errors of papers and essays, including Friday nights such as this.
Of course, the moment she arrived back in her living room, staring down at a pile of essays as she elegantly flushed her senses with tea leaves and caffeine, her eyes became glued to the name on the paper at the top of the stack. Her mind was so fixated on this one page that she didn’t even realize she was drinking more than she could swallow, quickly pulling her cup out of her mouth and wiping off any remaining dribble with the back of her hand. Setting her cup down onto the table in front of her, she used her free hand to cover her mouth as she awkwardly coughed the remaining liquids out of her windpipe, fanning herself to soothe the burning sensation in the back of her eyelids. What was it about that name that always got her so flustered like that? Why was it that whenever she thought about her, she could never seem to focus on anything else…?
*Ding dong!*
“Hm? O-oh! Comiiiing!”
With her heart beating from both the surprise visitor at her door as well as the feeling of herbal tea still stuck in her throat, she quickly checked herself in the mirror for any redness in her eyes or unkempt hair, and once she found herself presentable, she reached for her front door just as the bell rang a second time. Once the door creaked open, however, giving her an initial glance of the person standing at her doorstep, her breath once again caught in her chest, leaving her so speechless that she couldn’t even manage a proper greeting. Luckily for her, though, she wouldn’t have to, because as soon as the door opened, the guest immediately entered without reservation.
“What took you so long, Cheerilee? I was freezing out there.”
Again, the teacher tried to make words come out, her mouth quivering anxiously as she attempted to string together coherent sounds, but her heart was fluttering so wildly that all she could do was mumble. Once her visitor hung up her winter hat onto the nearby coat rack, however, turning her face to stare curiously at the woman’s flustered expression, Cheerilee finally shook her head enough to compose herself to a hopefully natural state. Natural, however, was something that never seemed to describe herself whenever this young maiden was nearby. She couldn’t explain why, but this girl, a student at Canterlot High School, always found ways to get exactly what she wanted out of her, including letting her into her home without any hint or warning.
Suddenly, though, the student’s smug smile began to fade slowly, and that’s when Cheerilee jumped at the realization that she had been staring this whole time, still not having spoken a single word. “H-hello, Sunset! What are you doing here?”
“What?” Sunset replied arrogantly, flicking her hair behind her winter coat as her smile once again returned to her face, making Cheerilee’s face burn a faint pink. “Can’t one of your students just drop by for a visit?”
“S-sure! I mean--Maybe you could give me a little warning next time, or…” Once again, Sunset’s grin began to fade, leaving Cheerilee to inwardly roll her eyes at her own ineptitude. “Here. Let me get your coat for you.”
Suddenly, Sunset’s demeanor changed again, her face grimacing into a polite smile as she hesitantly backed away. “No! I mean--That’s OK.”
“Oh, I insist! You’re my guest after all!”
“Cheerilee, I’d really rather you didn--”
By the time she’d finished her sentence, however, Cheerilee had already seen everything she needed to, hesitantly pulling Sunset’s coat the rest of the way off of her shoulders as her other hand clasped over her gasping lips. The student then released a defeated sigh, rubbing her forehead as Cheerilee examined her all over.
“What… What happened to you?!”
Sunset’s clothes were sticky and brown, her coat clinging to her shirt and snapping along her skin as Cheerilee tugged it off of her shoulders with enough force to push her back a step. The dirty stain trailed all the way from her top to her skirt, completely covering her entire torso and half of her pelvis with a mysterious, dried-up liquid. With Cheerilee’s eyes scanning Sunset’s body up and down, the teenager’s cheeks began to burn a bright red, causing her to instinctively shield herself with her arms. Once the teacher finally interpreted how uncomfortable she was making Sunset, however, she immediately looked away, coughing awkwardly as her own face began to flush.
“Well,” Sunset began, relaxing her arms and allowing Cheerilee to once again gaze at the warzone on her body, “now you know, I guess. I was kinda hoping I could keep it a secret for today.”
No, she wasn’t. Cheerilee knew that as soon as something like this happened, Sunset’s first reaction would be to visit her, just like she’d done on numerous occasions already. She always tried to play like she was this tough teenage girl who could easily take care of herself, but she depended on Cheerilee, who was too weak to be able to resist any chance she got to see her, whether inside or outside of school. Why was Cheerilee such an easy target? Why couldn’t she say no when Sunset felt like she could just enter into Cheerilee’s home unannounced?
Even if she could, though, there was no way Cheerilee would just up and tell Sunset to leave when something this serious was happening in her personal life.
“Don’t tell me…” Cheerilee trailed off, placing Sunset’s coat on her rack.
“Yeah, it was my roommate again. We got into some stupid argument about how I never pay rent, and then I told her that I didn’t owe her anything. Then she brought up how I shrunk her favorite shirt, and I was all, ‘Can you blame me? It looked hideous on you.’ Then we started yelling, things got pretty heated, and then next thing I know, she’s throwing stuff at me and telling me to get out of the house. Can you believe her, though? I mean, she’s totally overreacting, isn’t she?”
“Err, sure? What exactly did she throw at you in the first place?”
“Coffee.” Cheerilee quickly flinched, but Sunset simply shrugged her shoulders and shook her head. “She was probably just mad because I threw her phone out the window or something. Or it might have been because of the message I sent right before throwing it out the window. Whatever. I’m so over it at this point. Can I use your shower?”
The teacher suddenly froze, aside from the lump in her throat slowly making its way down her neck as the rest of her body began to glow a deep shade of pink. It was one thing having Sunset come to her house unannounced, it was another thing to actually let her inside, but the idea of her right behind one thin door with all of her clothes off? Cheerilee began shivering just thinking about it, but the longer she waited to give Sunset her answer, the more the teenager tilted her head in awkward silence.
“Oh! My shower? I… umm…”
Sunset’s face was beginning to scowl, making the adrenaline in Cheerilee’s body swim through her veins with twice the ferocity. Even despite how dodgy this whole circumstance seemed on the outside looking in, would it really be the right choice to tell her that she’d have to remain covered in coffee just because her teacher was afraid of something that could come off as inappropriate?
No. That wasn’t it. Yes, most teachers would be hesitant to allow one of their students to use their own personal shower, especially when said student was starting to get comfortable coming to their home unannounced, but Cheerilee had another reason for feeling uneasy about saying yes. The real thing Cheerilee was worried about had nothing to do with how the circumstance could be misconstrued if the story ever got out. What she was really worried about was how much she had to hold herself back from taking advantage of the situation, turning on the hot water for her, standing by the door as Sunset undressed, imagining what it could be like if she was there with her…
Just as Sunset opened her mouth in her obvious impatience, however, Cheerilee quickly cut in before Sunset could speak. “G-go ahead!” Once the words slipped past her teeth, though, she immediately flinched with regret, but by the same token, she’d already justified her actions a half dozen times in her head by now. There was no way she could just say no to a student in need, right? At least, that’s what she told herself to ease some of the guilt, since she knew that to her, giving Sunset permission was more than just a polite gesture of service.
“Thanks, Cheerilee!” the teenager replied, skipping her way to the bathroom. Cheerilee couldn’t help but groan. Had Sunset really been over enough times to know where her bathroom was without even getting directions?
Once she had time to collect her thoughts again, however, her head immediately jerked up, turning towards her bedroom as she rushed towards the door. “Oh! Clothes! That’s right! She’s going to need clean clothes!”
Again, the questions started to swirl. Was it appropriate for a teacher to offer her own clothes to one of her students? What would the Parent Teacher Association think if Sunset decided to go to school one day wearing a shirt they’d seen Cheerilee wear a hundred times? Still, though, for every question that squeezed its way into her train of thought, she’d immediately think of a rebuttal to justify her actions. ‘I can’t let her go home like that. It’s not like she’s keeping them. I’m only doing what any responsible adult would do if they were in this same situation.’
Once Cheerilee had sifted through her drawers and picked out a perfect outfit for Sunset, she immediately turned the corner to see Sunset poking her head out the bathroom door, making the woman nearly drop her clothes as she reflexively shielded her eyes. “S-sorry!” the teacher exclaimed. “I didn’t mean to look! I’ll just leave your clothes right here!”
“Relax, Cheerilee,” the student replied, opening the door wider and nearly giving Cheerilee a heart attack. Once she gained the courage to open her eyes again, however, she saw Sunset still wearing the clothes she had on earlier, striking a pose as the sound of bathwater echoed behind her. Even when she was fully clothed, Cheerilee couldn’t help but stare at the teenager’s thin waist, long legs and slender arms, and fortunately for her, Sunset was either oblivious or didn’t mind her teacher’s borderline lustful gaze travelling up and down her body. “Can you help me for a second?”

Sunset then turned around, crossed her arms and grabbed the bottom of her shirt, lifting it as much as it would go before it got stuck on her lacy, black bra. Cheerilee gulped, lifting her hands up to help her out but freezing at the sight of her slender back. She knew she’d have to leave the room as soon as she was done, and if this really did turn out to be a once in a lifetime opportunity, she wanted to ingrain this image into her head for the rest of her mortal life. Then, once the pause began to grow uncomfortable for both girls, the teacher quickly grabbed hold of the fabric and helped lift it over Sunset’s head, seeing her shake her flaming red hair as soon as she was free.
“Thanks, Cheechee,” Sunset responded, tossing the shirt onto the ground and running her fingers through the sticky layers of her coiffure.
Cheerilee blushed. “You really should get used to calling me Miss Cheerilee, you know.”
“Ugh. That punk. I knew it.” Cheerilee tilted her head at Sunset’s remark, but the teenager continued to reach behind her shoulders, tapping her fingers against the sticky layers on her back. “She got me covered everywhere! I’m so gonna let her have it when I come home.”
In the next moment, Sunset reached down even further, her hands coming together at the hooks on her bra, causing Cheerilee to turn around so quickly that she nearly got whiplash, her heart beating so fast that it nearly broke the sound barrier. “I’ll just leave some clothes by the door! Enjoy your shower!”
“Hey, you wanna join me?”
Cheerilee froze. The answer was yes. There was nothing she could possibly imagine that would be better than getting the chance to see water pouring onto Sunset’s shoulders, dripping along her waist and descending down her feminine legs. Just thinking about it got her so hot that she started steaming more than the shower itself, but sadly, Cheerilee still had at least a little self-control left. “No! I’ve got it!”
Cheerilee hoped that her face wasn’t too red, but once she finally got her vest off of her body, her fingers immediately turned towards her shirt, unbuttoning from the bottom and making her way up. Meanwhile, Sunset reached down to the side of her skirt, pulling the zipper down and sliding it down her smooth, tender legs. By the time Cheerilee had her shirt pulled off and realized what was happening in front of her, though, Sunset was already reaching for her panties, sliding her thumbs through the pantholes and pulling it off of her hips one leg at a time. The teacher’s jaw suddenly fell in offense, her eyebrows furrowing angrily. “Then what am I even doing here?”
“Duh. You’re taking a shower with me.”
As if that weren’t obvious. Cheerilee slapped her hand to her face and replied with a groan, “I get that, but why am I taking a shower with you when you don’t even need me here? I should just get out and get dinner started.”
Just as the teacher grabbed the shower curtain and lifted her foot to leave, however, Sunset placed her hands to her hips, giving the older woman a devilish smile. “Oh, like you really want to leave.”
Cheerilee froze. Did Sunset know? True, Cheerilee may not have been the best at keeping secrets, but just how much had she given away? Plus, if Sunset knew about her feelings, did that mean that others at Canterlot High knew about her too?!
Just as Cheerilee was about to make her escape, though, Sunset gently grabbed her teacher by the wrist and slowly guided her back into the warmth of the shower. “Stay a little while. We can just talk if you want.”
If she stayed much longer, Cheerilee would probably want to do a lot more than just talk, but even if that was one of the risks, just the idea of getting to stare at Sunset’s bare pelvis was enough to make her stay by itself. This time it was Cheerilee’s turn to raise an eyebrow. “So you come to me instead?”
“Well, yeah. You’re a teacher. You get paid to deal with the headaches I give you.”
Sunset then grabbed a nearby bottle of shampoo, pouring a dab into her hand before running it through her fiery, red hair. Once again, Cheerilee tried not to stare too much, but she couldn’t help her eyes travelling down between Sunset’s legs while her eyes were closed. “Maybe,” the teacher continued, “but only when you’re at school! Can you imagine how much trouble I could get in if Principal Celestia found out you’ve been coming to my home?”
“Big deal. I get in trouble all the time.”
Cheerilee pinched the bridge of her nose. “I think you might be underestimating the severity of the situation, Sunset.”
Finally, once all the suds had washed down her back and she’d given her hair a final fluff, the teenager looked into her teacher’s eyes with a caring smirk, making Cheerilee gulp from just how beautiful Sunset looked when she smiled. “I know, but it’s not like I’m gonna stop coming over. I like it here. I even like you a little bit.”
How many times was she going to make Cheerilee blush like that? Then, shaking her head, Cheerilee folded her arms and said, “What you need is to make some friends and go to them with your problems! Honestly, Sunset, what is it going to take for you to stop coming over here?”
“Just ask me.” Cheerilee flinched with regret, but Sunset’s dazzling smile never faltered. “I know you’re not going to do that, though, which is why I have no problem asking you to do things like this with me. Oh, could you hand me that body wash?”
As if on autopilot, Cheerilee reached over her body to grab a bottle of body wash, handing it over to the girl who immediately started lathering it over her body. If Sunset was right, did that mean that this wasn’t a one-time occurrence? Cheerilee placed her hand to her chest, going back and forth in her mind whether she was scared or relieved at the idea of Sunset becoming a recurring part of her daily life. She was a senior, after all, which meant that so long as nobody found out about the two of them until after she graduated, she would theoretically be in the clear.
Again, Cheerilee shook her head, once again returning to her teacher-like composure. “Listen, Sunset--”
“Oh, did you want me to get you too while I’m at it?” Sunset didn’t even wait for her teacher’s response as she drizzled body wash into her palm. Cheerilee, meanwhile, froze in surprise, looking down at her student’s grin as she patiently awaited her teacher’s response. “I mean, might as well, since we’re here and all.”
“I… er… O-okay.”
The teenager’s smile grew even wider, and as she slowly moved towards the older woman, Cheerilee squeezed her eyes shut with her lower lip trembling nervously. Suddenly, though, she felt the delicate sensation of a cool liquid smothering against her chest, along with Sunset’s fingers delicately travelling up to her neck. Cheerilee subtly knocked her head back, sighing discreetly as the feeling of Sunset’s hands navigating along her body overwhelmed her nervous system. Cheerilee looked away with her face scrunching up, but after a few silent moments, she solemnly nodded her head, making the student chuckle again. “How much do you know?” the teacher asked, leading Sunset to tilt her head in curiosity.
“About what?”
“Ohhh, you know what!”
Sunset then bent her knees down to where her eyes could be parallel to Cheerilee’s, placing both of her hands on either side of her teacher’s face. “Well, you definitely don’t do a good job of hiding it.” Cheerilee looked away with a pout. “But that’s what I like about you. It makes it easy to tease you whenever I want.”
“...I wish you wouldn’t.”
“Oh, really?”
With Cheerilee’s eyes still defiantly looking off in another direction, Sunset slowly brought her face in closer, coming down to the crook of Cheerilee’s neck and placing a long, tender kiss against the woman’s skin, making her jaw drop and her eyes squeeze closed. Then, in pure reflex, Cheerilee placed her hand on the back of Sunset’s head, pulling her mouth in harder against her shoulder as the teenager delicately traced her lips along her teacher’s erogenous zones.
