Going Out

<--- --- --->

.

I follow my Companion out the door, closing it behind myself; as I continue to follow her, to where she (we) are going. Since I can finally follow her out of the apartment, that has always been my home; for as long as I can remember, I can finally pick out things for myself and see where she had bought them from.

The longer I had been cooped up, the worse the feeling of being trapped had grown; and the closer to the chance of going out, the more intense I had experienced the sensation.

Finally, now I can go out; to follow her, out of our home. It isn’t that I am dissatisfied, or uncomfortable with our home; it is just that it is too small, for a comfortable living, if you can’t step out for a pinch of fresh air. Now, I am finally getting that pinch of fresh air.

She is guiding me, and I am following her. I will remember all the sights I see, all the scents I pick up and all the sounds I am hearing.

The first store we visit, is where they are selling the equipment and materials I will be needing, for my future business. Of course. Since we are going together; carrying the sewing machine is no longer an issue, as we can split the weight and space between the two of us.

“Finally!” I exclaim; as we are entering the store, I had waited so long to finally enter. (Even if it only was a week, I had been confined to our apartment.)

“Yes, Rarity..” she responds; “Thank Celestia; you can finally go out, and help me pick out the supplies you need!” she responds.

I guess we are making quite the sight..” I ponder; “with the two of us, identical Twins; side by side, like this!” I conclude.

“We could use some help, here; finding the equipment and materials, we are looking for!” she informs the first girl wearing the Uniform, identifying her as an employee of the store.

“Yes, of course..” the girl responds, with a bright expression on her face.

Helping a customer who knows what she is looking for, is commonly rewarding!” she ponders, knowingly.

“I need a sewing machine..” I put forth, watching the girl taking us the fastest rout to what I am looking for.

“We have these..” she explains; “just a matter of make, and model?” she inquires; “What are you looking for?” she inquires.

“I need a competent sewing machine, in order to produce fashion clothes and accessories!” I explain.

“Then you’re looking for this section..” she responds, leading us to more expensive equipment.

“I would much rather pay a bit extra, up front; so that I don’t need to go back, asking for a replacement.” I ponder; “if it is because it broke down, or because it can not handle my demands is all the same to me!” I explain.

“Of course..” she responds; as she shifts her focus, directing us to a tighter area.

“This one..” I point out.

I continue to browse the various items for the machine; then I continue to browse the threads, fabrics and other supplies. In the end, I had stacked up a fairly large pile; before I can finally reach the counter, where she is paying for my purchase.

“Thank you!” I respond, as we pack everything, in our respective back packs and leave the store with a somewhat diminished stock.

After a few minutes of walking, we reach the arts-supplies store; I eagerly enter, with her in tow.

Once inside, I follow the path; picking up various supplies, such as pencils, erasers and whatnot.

She is picking up the tab, for my purchases; paying for all the supplies I will need in the near future, before we are walking out of the store.

The next store, we enter; is the tea store, where they sell fresh tea, they measure on site.

I take a moment, observing which teas are popular; before I select the blends I am looking for, as the blends quality depends on how long they stay in the store. Maybe I should visit other stores, in order to see if they offer teas of interest. Then again, I could always mix my own blends; if I can acquire the herbs required, elsewhere. Whether I buy them in store, or grow them myself.

In the end, I am stumbling upon the store selling the Holographic characters.

“Curious..” I mumble; "I guess this would be most fortuitous?” I inquire.

“Is there a character, in particular; you had in mind?” she inquires.

“Picture your little sister, as Sweetie Belle?” I inquire.

“Oh, yes; that would be a very interesting proposition, when you put it that way!” she concedes.

“I would be very interested in a few other characters, such as Coco Pommel, Sassy Saddles, Blue Bobbin and a personal Rarity!” I suggest. (there were two other mares here, but who?)

“I guess Sweetie Belle could be an outstanding gift, for my sister..” she puts forth; “but who are these characters?” she inquires.

“Coco Pommel is a Seamstress and Sassy Saddles is a Store Manager; I will need these, in order to manage the store..” I respond; or the stores, when I open the next one and so on!” I explain.

“So you intend to delegate, as much of the work as possible; in order to achieve your goal, with minimal effort?” she inquires.

“Each of these Holographic Character will be the base of the Uniform, everyone can recognize..” I put forth.

“This will be only too much fun!” she concedes; “I can’t wait, to see this!” she concludes.

“Exactly!” I merely supply.

“Now, I just need the tubes for these characters; corresponding to the number of Uniforms required!” I conclude.

<--- --- --->

Finally; now we have everything we need, for the time being. I had picked up each of the Holographic Characters I need, aside from the one for her little sister; of course, we could not forget her. (now, could we?)
