It's a surprise... "I'M SO EXCITED FOR THE TALENT SHOW GUYS!" Scootaloo shouted while they all exited the school building. Sweetie Belle looked at Scootaloo and smiled, "I know! I can't wait to show off my levitation skills!" She told Scootaloo and then looked at Apple Bloom, "What do you have planned Apple Bloom?" Sweetie Belle asked Apple Bloom. Apple Bloom looked at Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo and smirked, "It's a surprise, so ya'll will just have to wait and see, but what ah can tell ya is ah have been workin' on it for a while now." Apple Bloom told her friends. "What are you going do show us how to make apple juice." Scootaloo laughed jokingly, she then looked at the angry Apple Bloom and immediately apologized. "Anyway Sweetie, you reckon ah can talk to Rarity about somethin' ah need for the talent show?" She asked Sweetie. "Sure Apple Bloom" she smiled at her friend, "Did you want me to take a note and tell her, or did you want to ask her yourself?" Sweetie smiled at Apple Bloom. "Ah can tell her, can ah go now?" Apple Bloom asked Sweetie. Sweetie looked at her friend, "Yeah go ahead, she might be busy though." Sweetie told Apple Bloom. Apple Bloom thanked Sweetie and started making her way to the boutique. "What do you think Apple Bloom's asking Rarity for?" Sweetie Belle asked Scootaloo. "Probably some apple outfit for when she makes apple juice for the talent show." Scootaloo laughed again. Sweetie playfully punched Scootaloo and started walking towards the clubhouse. The Carousel Boutique Rarity was finishing up a dress for a client when Apple Bloom walked in. "Apple Bloom darling what can I do for you today?" Rarity asked the little filly. "Ah wanted to know if you cloud make meh something for the upcoming school talent show." Apple Bloom told the white unicorn. "Ahh yes, the talent show, Sweetie Belle was telling me all about it, and how's she's going to show off her levitation progress, anyway what did you have in mind?" Rarity asked. Apple Bloom explained what she's doing and what she needs to be on her outfit, Rarity listened to all of it. "Thats quite the request Apple Bloom, I also had no idea you did and practiced that! You know what, I'll do it Apple Bloom, just because I'm very curious to see where this goes, and since you are the sister of one of my dearest friends I will make it free of charge!" Rarity proudly told Apple Bloom. "Really?!, aww shucks, thanks a lot Rarity!" Apple Bloom gave Rarity a big hug. "It's no problem darling, and I won't tell Sweetie Belle or Scootaloo like you said." Rarity said. Apple Bloom thanked Rairty one more time and then exited the boutique. The Clubhouse Sweetie Belle was practicing levitating five red balls at the same time, she was only able to hold them in place, but she wanted to throw them around and juggle them for the talent show, Scootaloo was outside practicing her Scooter tricks with a make shift ramp and loop, Scootaloo wanted to do a three-sixty spin off the ramp and then through a hoop, after shes gonna go back around and do a backfilp through the loop, Scootaloo came back in the club house sweating and panting from the practice she had just done. "If only...Rain...bow...Dash could have seen... those awesome tricks...I just did!" Scootaloo said through pants. "Well the talent show is on Sunday, so it's not that far away, Rainbow Dash will see you're tricks soon." Sweetie said to Scootaloo. Just then Apple Bloom walked in. "Hey guys, ah finished talking to Rarity, and ah got good news." Apple Bloom said excitedly. "What is it?" Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle said at the same time. "She's gonna help with my outfit for the talent show!" Apple Bloom said happily. "That's great! I can't wait to see what you're doing Apple Bloom!" Sweetie Belle hugged her friend. "That's awesome Apple Bloom! Me and Sweetie have been practicing our acts for the talent show while you were gone." Scootaloo said As they kept on talking suddenly Rainbow Dash came flying through the clubhouse window. "Sup guys, yeah just came to stop by, see how Scootaloo's act is coming along." Rainbow Dash said as she smiled at the little filly's. "Rainbow Dash please see my scooter tricks I've been working on for the show! please! PLEASE!" Scootaloo begged. Rainbow Dash laughed, "Alright, alright calm down Squrit, let's see it." She said trying to calm the crazy filly. "Alright well I'm going to go home to continue practicing my magic see you later Apple Bloom and Scootaloo, oh and Rainbow Dash tell Fluttershy I said hi." Sweetie Belle winked and walked off towards the boutique. "What was that about?" Scootaloo asked Rainbow Dash. "I..it's nothing squirt, now let's see those tricks yeah?" Rainbow said trying to change the subject. "Oh yeah! Come outside Rainbow Dash!" Scootaloo said quickly forgetting about the awkward moment. Around two weeks ago Sweetie Belle went to drop off a dress for Fluttershy made by Rarity, and she knocked on the door but no one answered, she looked through the window and saw Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash sleeping on the couch together, she promised Rainbow Dash she would not tell anyone, and has kept her promise but still drops hints around other ponies. Apple Bloom and Rainbow Dash watched Scootaloo jump through the hoops and do her little tricks. "Wow! That was totally awesome squirt!" Dash told Scootaloo. "Really?! You think they are good tricks? Will the whole school like them?" Scootaloo said excitedly. "Definitely, ponies are going to be going crazy over your act squirt! They are going to be drowning in such awesomeness they will not be able to stand!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "Yeah! They will love it Scootaloo don't worry about it!" Apple Bloom told Scootaloo. "Thanks Apple Bloom you're a good friend, alright i'm gonna go home, I'm tired." Scootaloo said with a yawn. "Alright see you later guys." Rainbow Dash said and then took flight and left. Scootaloo looked at Apple Bloom, "Night Apple Bloom." "Night Scootaloo." Apple Bloom said. Then they both went home and went to sleep. //-------------------------------------------------------// Practice makes perfect... //-------------------------------------------------------// Practice makes perfect... Apple Bloom had made sure to wake up two hours earlier than the rest of her family, she did so to make sure she had time to practice. 'I can't wait to show everypony what I can do!' Apple Bloom thought to her self, after the two hours of practicing she went down stairs to get a glass of water, she drank the whole bottle in less than ten seconds because of how thirsty she was. Applejack just walked down the stairs still in her PJs when she seen Apple Bloom sitting down on a chair drenched in sweat. "Ya alright Apple Bloom? Ya look mighty tired, and ya drenched in sweat!" Applejack told Apple Bloom. "Yeah I'm fine, I'm sweaty because ah just finished practicing my act fer the talent show." Apple Bloom replied. Applejack smile and laughed, "You still haven't told meh what you're doing fer it yet, but ah guess practice makes perfect." Applejack said as she walked into the bathroom. "And ah can't wait to show y'all tomorrow, ah just want it to be a surprise." Apple Bloom exclaimed. Applejack came out of the bathroom and said, "Ah understand, whatever your doing, it's probably gonna be good, it's pretty strange the talent show is on a Sunday, but what ever floats the school boards boat, by the way it is a Saturday so you and your friends can go play for the day." Applejack said while she got ready to make breakfast. "Thanks, Applejack, ah am gonna go upstairs for a little while until my friends wake up, call me down when breakfast is ready." Apple Bloom said as she went upstairs. When she got to her room she was gasped when she saw medium sized box on her bed with a note on it. Dear Apple Bloom Here it all is, the outfit you asked for, I must say I am quite proud of my self, it did not take too long and this outfit is is absolutely stunning! Apple Bloom immediately opened the box and tried everything on, it was everything she hoped it would be, she was ready for this talent show. After breakfast there was a knock heard at the door, "I'll get it!" shouted Apple Bloom, she opened the door full knowing it was going to be her friends, but she was surprised to see that it was actually Rarity at the door. "How is it dear? do you like it? do you need me to make any changes?" Rarity questioned Apple Bloom. "It's perfect Rarity, ah really like it, you did a great job!" Apple Bloom told the eager unicorn. Rarity squealed like a little filly and said, "I just knew you would love it! by the way that's REAL diamond on the glove!" "Rarity! that must have cost a fortune! ah have to find a way to pay you back!" Apple Bloom said. Rarity looked at her and said, "Don't worry about it darling, I have plenty of spare diamonds I can use still, I've had those diamonds for years!" Rarity told the guilty feeling filly. Apple Bloom looked at Rarity and said, " Are... Are ya sure? I mean... It's not a problem, ah can help you out at the boutique. "Trust me darling." she crouched down to meet eye to eye, "It really is no problem, the diamonds on that glove barely put a dent in my diamond collection!" Rarity assured her. Apple Bloom smiled, "Well, if you say so." Apple Bloom replied "I have clients to tend to now dear, enjoy the outfit!" Rarity patted Apple Bloom on the head and then left. When she closed the door she turned around to walk back to her room, but ended up coming face first into Applejack's chest, and falling on the floor "So." Applejack started, "mah friend Rarity made yer outfit?" Applejack said helping Apple Bloom up. "Yeah she did, it's really nice!" Apple Bloom exclaimed. Applejack smiled, "Yep Rarity is pretty good at making dresses and suits." Applejack finished, then there was a moment of silence, "Can ah see it?" Applejack finally said. Apple Bloom laughed, "If ah show you will know exactly what ah am doing." Applejack laughed as well, "Alright, I'll let ya keep ya little secret." There was another knock at the door, Apple Bloom went to answer it again, she opened the door to this time see Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle. "Hey y'all!" Apple Bloom said. "Hey AB!" Sweetie Belle replied. "Ready to crusade today?" Scootaloo asked. Apple Bloom beamed and said, "Ya, ah got the perfect idea to start with!" "What is it?" Sweetie Belle questioned. "We can be garbage ponies!" Apple Bloom shouted. Scootaloo gasped, "That's an awesome idea AB!" Sweetie gave her a puzzled look, "How exactly do we become garbage ponies?" Apple Bloom looked at her and said, "From what ah know they take the trash, crush it, burn it, and then it turns to dust!" Apple Bloom claimed. With that said they went to the nearest dump, grabbed a trash bag from the pile and got to work. "Alright, now, we jump on it!" Apple Bloom said as they began to beat the bag like a punching bag. All three looked at the crushed trash and then realized something. "How are we gonna burn it?" Sweetie questioned. Apple Bloom looked at Sweetie, then Scootaloo, "They should start the fire soon, we can just throw it in when they start." After about twenty minutes of waiting they finally started the fire, all three quickly got up and threw the trash bag in the fire, when that was done they looked at each others flanks but saw nothing, they all groaned at the same time. After many hours of trying different things they all said their goodbyes and went home, Apple Bloom went to sleep two hours early to make sure she had a good night's sleep for the talent show tomorrow. Apple Bloom again woke up two hours earlier go get as much practice in as possible for the talent show happening at 6:00 PM tonight. After practice she took a shower to clean up after sweating a bunch, she ate the breakfast Applejack had made her and then waited in the clubhouse for the other crusaders to show up. When they showed up they crusaded for the whole day until 5:00 PM, when they all headed home to get ready for the talent show in just one hour. Apple Bloom ran up to her room and put the outfit back in to the box and started walking towards the school with Applejack, Granny Smith, and Big Mac. When they got to the school they met up with Rarity and Sweetie Belle, Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo, and Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Twilight were at the school to see the show as well. "It's the big night AB! Are you ready?" Scootaloo said looking very excited. Apple Bloom looked at Scootaloo and smiled, "Ah was born ready Scoots, ah have been waiting for this day for so long!" Sweetie Belle looked at the box on Apple Bloom's back, "What is in the box Apple Bloom?" She looked back at it and said, "It's mah outfit fer tonight." Sweetie Belle got a little too excited when Apple Bloom said this. 'Ah swear she can be a mini Rarity sometimes.' Apple Bloom thought in her head and laughed, as they walked into the school. As all the audience members took their seats, all the participating school children went back stage to prepare. First pony going on stage was Button Mash, he said for his act he was going to beat the world record for beating Super Mario Bros. Any%, the world record was 4:55.646, Button Mash was going to try and get it to 4:55.645 or lower. He started up the game, everyone cheering every time he did something only experts can do, here he was running up on Bowser for the final jump. He jumped right over Bowser, and dunking him into the lava by hitting the axe, he finished with a time of 4:55.641, he had done it, it may have been only five frames but he now owned the record, everypony cheered and clapped, he left the stage with a salute and let the next pony on. Next on the stage was Diamond Tiara, she was doing a singing act, she set her microphone up and started singing Sweet Caroline. "Hoofs, touching hoofs, reaching out, touching me, touching you, Sweet Caroline!" Diamond Tiara sang. When she finished she got all kinds of cheers, compliments, and congratulations, she left the stage with a smirk, 'Bet those blank flanks can't beat that.' She thought as she left. After Diamond Tiara went back stage, Sweetie Belle was up next. Rarity clapped very loud when she saw her sister, "You go girl!" She shouted. She threw five red balls in the air, and caught them all with her magic, she started throwing up and the air again, but this time one by one, she started juggling at a slow pace, then it got faster, and faster, so fast to the point where she was sweating. She dropped all the balls and put them on the table, everyone clapped, especially Rarity. After Sweetie Belle left, Scootaloo came on stage, Rainbow Dash gave Scootaloo a huge smile and shouted, "You can do this kid!" Scootaloo grinned, she set up her ramps and a hoop, she went to the end of the stage and started pushing, she went over the ramp did a 360° through the hoop, and landed safely on the other side, everypony clapped. Once she was on the other side she started pushing again, she went over the ramp and did a backflip through the hoop, landing it. She jumped off her scooter and went to the front of the stage and took a bow, the room was filled with clapping and cheering, Rainbow Dash flew over and gave Scootaloo a high hoof. There was around six or seven more acts when it was finally Apple Bloom's turn, everypony gasped when they saw what she was wearing. She was wearing a black fedora with a gray line, a very shine black sequin jacket with a white leg band and a white v neck shirt, a incredibly shiny white glove, black pants with two white sequin lines going down them, and on top off all that her mane was dyed black, and was styled with strands of it in front of her face. They were all shocked, Applejack looked very excited, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle were mostly looking at the dyed mane, and then the song started, she got into position with the hat over her eyes. "She was more like a beauty queen, from a movie scene, I said, "Don't mind, but what do you mean, I am the one, who will dance on the floor in the round." Michael Jackson sang on the speakers. Apple Bloom kicked and spon to the song. "Billie Jean is not my lover, she's just a girl, who claims that I am the one, but the kid is not my son." Every single pony in the room roared with cheering and clapping. After about two minutes the song got to the best part. "....HEE....HOO...." Apple Bloom started to do the moonwalk, the room got very loud when she did it. After the moonwalk she did a 720° spin and landed on the tips of her hoofs, and then there was an explosion of light, when the light finally cleared they all gasped when they looked at her flank. "What?" Apple Bloom asked. She looked at her flank and gapsed as well, on her flank was a cutie mark, it was a shiny golden fedora with wings. Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo went up on stage and gave a Apple Bloom a huge hug. "You got your cutie mark by dancing to Michael Jackson AB!" Scootaloo shouted. "We are so proud of you Apple Bloom!" Sweetie Belle said. With that they left the stage, and went to their sisters, Applejack went up to Apple Bloom and gave her a soft shoulder punch. "Why didn't ya tell me ya like Michael Jackson? Ah own every record of his! They are all in the attic." She smiled at Appls Bloom. "Really?! That's so cool." Apple Bloom shouted Applejack looked at her sisters mane, "That black dye comes out right?" "Yep! It does." Apple Bloom replied laughing. Applejack gave a sign of relief.
