A Trip in a Foal's Hooves
The only chapter: One last Day as a foal
It was late at night after a crazy wedding and a Changing invasion. The "groom" Shining Armor felt awful, groaning, rubbing his head as he felt quite odd; his head was fuzzy, and his body felt quite stiff. The stallion was trying to enjoy his own party dancing with his wife with the rest of the guests, but the headache and body still fell off. Cadance paused in the dance, noticing that her husband was looking off. "Hey, you doing ok? I know that Chrysalis did a number on you."
"No, I'm fine! I'm not a helpless foal; it's just a headache." Shining snapped, getting annoyed about being patronized and feeling a bit angry at how he was duped by Queen Chrysalis.
He walked over to the bar and took a drink off the table within his magic. As the stallion drank, he felt his headache was getting worse and making him feel as if his entire body was shaking all over. He thought it over, so Cadance had a point, and he should go home and get some rest. But as the stallion walked through the crowd, it didn't take a bit for him to realize he was growing smaller with the ponies dancing around him being a lot bigger….he then stumbled over his own hooves and collapsed on the ground.
"Hey, what's going on here!?" Shining shouted, looking horrified as he looked around and saw he was no taller than the knees of the ponies dancing around him. He got up and slowly shuffled across the dance hall, looking for his wife and saw her. His eyes went wide, seeing the mare was a giant! And as he peered up and tried shouting for help. Cadance and started to run over, trying to ask for help, but as soon as he reached his wife. She looked down and dawwed, giving him a sweet smile. "Aww, what a cute little foal? Where's your mommy or daddy?"
Shining got frustrated and started stomping about and shouting angrily Cadance gasped, "Oh my! You got fussy fast."
Shining plopped down and started to shout angrily. The pink coated mare slowly bent down, looking over the strange foal, and then it suddenly dawned on her that the foal was her husband!
Cadance gasped as she picked Shining armor up and looked him over. "My goodness Shining; what happened to you!"
The music suddenly stopped, and soon everypony was now staring at him completely baffled at seeing the young prince was now a helpless foal. All this attention made Shining Armor whimper as a tinkling noise echoed throughout the courtyard. The realization then suddenly hit him; he was then suddenly turned into a foal!
Three weeks later...
Shining Armor slowly woke up from his sleep and looked out a window and saw that the sun was slowly rising overhead. The stallion gulped as he stood there as he felt his diaper squishing between his legs from a night soak. He was used to wetting himself in his diaper, and it wasn't too bad. It's been a few weeks since he was regressed to a foal by Queen Chrysalis, most likely to have him lower the shield over Canterlot, but the venom took too long to enter his bloodstream. Shining laid there looking up at a spinning mobile and realizing by tomorrow; he'll be sleeping in his bed without a diaper and being able to eat solid food. He started to feel a bit more cheerful, but it didn't take long after he woke up that his wife, Princess Cadance, walked over and slowly lifted him out of a crib with her magic. The mare smiled at the tired pouty colt that was placed on a changing table. Shining Armor still couldn't believe his bedroom now had a crib, a changing table, and a toy chest! The mare smirked as she laid him down. He still hated having his diaper changed and never got used to it, he could stand the bottle feeding, the constant babying, but this always pissed him off no matter the time of day.
Cadance sensed her husband was irritated and cooed, "Oh stop, you'll be out of diapers soon enough, you should be excited!"
The colt rolled his eyes, and he was excited to be back into an adult, but this was still so annoying. The colt laid his head back as Cadance continued the change and then bent down under the changing table, bringing out a diaper and being quite annoyed. "Ugh, I forgot to restock! It looks like we'll need to head to Foals R Us."
Shining Armor groaned, rubbing his hooves over his face, not looking forward to another foal supply store trip. Cadance crossed her hooves and scoffed, "oh, don't even try getting out of that; that mare that works the register would love to see you as a foal one last time. Besides, she's the one who rented all this stuff out at a discount, knowing you were only going to be a foal for a few weeks."
Shining grumbled under his breath, irritated, and just nodded in agreement. He sat there in his clean diaper with foal powder puffing through the leg holes seeing that this padding had little cute shields and swords printed on the material. It was an excellent diaper design that fit his personality and career choice, and it was relatively comfortable too. While admiring his new padding, Cadance took a bottle of formula off a hot plate and shook it about until milk foam started bubbling out of the amber nipple and exclaimed, "You ready for a bottle!"
Shining sniffed the air smelling the aroma of sweet-smelling formula filling the air. Drool started to pour out of the corner of his mouth as he was hungry. Cadance then slowly sat down, placed the bottle into her husband's mouth, and gently suckled the formula down his throat. Cadance dawwed as she watched her husband suckle down her throat. "Oh, I know you love your formula. I wonder if you'll drink formula when you become an adult."
Shining's cheeks grew pink as he finished chugging down on the formula to embarrassed to even say in baby babble that he was considering that same thought. After finishing, Cadance gave his back a few pats on the back, and the colt spat up over his wife; he groaned, feeling so terrible, but Cadance just gave herself a quick clean up. He was taken to the kitchen and had a cute blue bib tied around his neck. He snuggled into his seat, feeling his new diaper squeeze around his rump. He was spoon-fed foal oatmeal by his wife. She started making cute noises making the colt giggle and coo throughout the feeding as his foalish instincts took over. "Oh, look at you loving your foal food! You love it, huh?"
Shining blushed as he felt so embarrassed to admit the food did taste good and was going to miss it when he was an adult again. After he was taken out from the highchair and was dressed into a bright blue onesie as Cadance cooed, "oh, this might be the last time I get to dress you like this."
Shining shrugged, the baby clothes felt snug, and his diaper was so soft and cozy he probably will miss this. As he bounced about, Twilight came through the front doors with a smile on her face as she watched Shining Armor bouncing on his crinkling pampers. The colt squeaked, seeing Twilight then he suddenly fell over as his onesie flew open, revealing his poofy diaper. Twilight was now standing over him as she nuzzled her brother. "Oh, you're just so adorable! I can't believe I got to see you all chubby and cute!"
Shining squealed and laughed, slapping his chubby hooves against Twilight as she tickled his belly. His wife then came to the rescue as she picked up her husband. "Oh, I know! But raising a foal is tough. I barely got any sleep for the past few weeks."
Twilight waved a hoof and replied, "Oh, I don't envy you; my mom already told me all the crazy stories about raising my brother."
Shining babbled angrily and stomped about being quite furious. Cadance blushed as she snickered, "Oh, he isn't too bad. He's just rather fussy." She then placed him into a stroller and then got out her diaper bag and looked through it as she explained, "have a few diapers left, but I can't believe I didn't restock."
Twilight laughed out loud as Shining sat there, grumbling angrily at Cadance just talking about all of this so casually as the mare exclaimed, "oh wow! Can't believe he went through two whole packs, huh!? That was at least over a hundred diapers in them."
Shining snapped angrily, and Cadance snickered, "yeah, I hope he won't need diapers after he's back to normal…"
Despite Cadance's comment being a joke, Twilight felt a bit unsure and sighed as she explained, "Trust me, Princess Celestia, and I have gone over each other's notes dozens of times, and I'm sure our anti-toxin will remove whatever Chrysalis put in my brother. Sadly, there isn't any way to test the solution."
Cadance shrugged not being really worried as she replied, "even so, I'll care for him if the potion doesn't work." The mare then went about buttoning up Shining's onesie and strapping him into a stroller.
Shining settled into his seat as Cadance hoofed him his plush Brutus Forces plushie. Cadanced continued, "well, we need to get going to get him some more foal supplies for at least one more day anyways so even if it doesn't work we'll have extra for the weekend."
"Ok, well, I'll get off your mane then and make sure the anti-toxin is ready by tonight." Twilight explained as she walked off Cadance pushed Shining out through the streets of Canterlot with the colt hugging his plush in his hooves dreading going out into public.
Shining groaned as he was pushed on a stroller down the streets of Canterlot. Most ponies that they passed simply dawwed and waved a hoof. Shining kept his head down, hugging his plushie Brutus Forces closer to his chest. Cadance snickered at her husband's antics; he always acted like this when he was out in public; he still hasn't gotten used to the attention from being a foal.
"You're always so fussy when I take you out, come on everypony loves a cute foal." Cadance scoffed as she pushed her husband along to a store labeled" Foals R Us" store with a stork placard placed overhead. Shining was then plopped in the back of a shopping cart and was scooted through the aisles. He had to endure even more patronizing from other mothers snickering and waving at him throughout the shopping area. Shining babbled insults and crossed his hooves as Cadance chatted with the other mares, all talking about how they wish their husbands turned to foals for a few days or, better yet, have them be the foal and the stallions care for them. Shining sat there, pouting enduring the mare's chatting. She then continued through the aisles taking out a small package of diapers, wipes, foal powder etc...they eventually came to the cashier a fun looking white coated mare with a wild red mane who clapped her hooves at the sight of the two. "Oh, there he is! The little captain of the guard!"
Shining snapped and kicked, hating that nickname while Princess Cadance snickered, "Oh yes, and this might be his last trip here."
The princess then lifted the foal supplies one by one onto the conveyor belt. As the foal supplies were being scanned, Cadance turned towards the cashier and replied, "Thanks again for the discount on that crib and the changing table."
The cashier casually waved a hoof. "Oh, it's no big deal! You're our favorite customer. We miss you coming here during your foal sitting days."
"Oh, I know, those days have come to an end, but hey, when Shining and I have a foal ourselves, I'll be sure to shop here!" Cadance exclaimed proudly.
Shining's face turned a beat red as he tried to babble at his wife. "Hey, we need to discuss that more! We just got married for crying out loud!"
Cadance snickered at Shining's antics as the cashier burst into laughter. "Oh, it looks like your little hubby got all embarrassed."
The princess snickered behind a hoof as she cooed," yeah, it's so cute when he tries to join in on big pony conversations still."
Shining rolled his eyes as the cashier at his wife and lit her horn and pulled the colt over and nuzzled him as she replied. "Well, it was nice meeting you as a foal Shining Armor."
He tried to spit at her but instead sputtered out some bubbles from his mouth. Shining was placed back onto the shopping cart with a poof of a foal powder puff from his leg holes. Cadance ruffled his mane as she replied, "What a fussy baby he just needs a nap."
"Alrighty, then have a good day, you two!" The cashier shouted as the princess pushed the shopping cart out of the store and placed Shining Armor into the stroller. The colt endured the embarrassment as his wife went down the diaper aisle and he groaned looking as they crossed rows, and rows of various brands of diapers. He eventually came to the ones his wife usually get him they were called “dri knights” The mare smirked seeing Shining was still being all moody and decided to tease him a bit as she started taking out some other brands of diapers. “Hey I could get you something different to wear, maybe like these dino print ones, or the princess Celestia ones!”
Shining squeaked seeing the diapers and shook his head and pointed at the dri knights as he babbled vigorously. Cadance laughed, “ok, ok calm down i’ll stick with these.” She threw the package of Dri Knights into the shopping cart. She then went about throwing wipes, and foal powder into her diaper bag, she cooed, "next, let's get some lunch, then it's off to your parents."
Shining groaned as he slammed his hooves to his face, not looking forward to seeing his parents again as he was pushed off in his stroller down the street. He didn't want to endure his parents babying him again!
Cadance and Shining were both sitting down together across from each other at a small luncheon near the palace. The princess was eating a lunch of hay burger and hay fries while at the other end of the table, Shining Armor sat in a highchair being spoon-fed mashed yams by a waiter from a bowl. The mare giggled, seeing the disgruntled waiter slowly shoving a spoonful of orange gloop into his mouth and gave a relaxing sigh before proclaiming out loud. "This is just wonderful, isn't it?"
Shining nodded and tried to say something, but only incoherent gibberish came out as the mare chuckled, "if only I can understand baby babble. But I think I know what you're saying."
The princess then continued to sip her tea as Shining pointed a hoof at his foal bottle, and the waiter rubbed his forehead and sighed, "yes, I understand."
The stallion plopped the bottle into Shining's mouth as he continued to gulp down some more formula until he started to burp. The waiter took the bottle out and then the colt suddenly spat up orange and white spit up all over his suit. Cadance burst into laughter as the waiter grumbled, "this is seriously not what I signed up for!"
As the waiter went about cleaning himself off he then turned her head towards the busy street and admired the scenery of the ponies walking back and forth going about their day. She then whispered, "this is a great little place to relax…I...I think that since today might be the last day you're a foal, I just wanted to spend some time with you."
Shining paused as he started making whining noises, and the waiter popped the bottle out from the colt's mouth as he babbled." Hey, I didn't mind being a foal, and it was rather fun and relaxing."
Cadance just sat there, blushing as she responded, "I bet you're saying something like oh, I do too? But I know this has been hard on you, and I don't mean for this to sound one-sided, but I did really enjoy babying you."
Shining stepped back, yeah, it was quite embarrassing, but he had to admit he hadn't felt this relaxed in years. It wasn't all one-sided as he didn't mind not having to worry about much as a foal...minus the diapers...which he blushed, realizing from a foul-smelling emanating he just used his.
The waiter got up, gagging, rearing back from the nasty smell, and scoffed, "I'm sorry, but changing diapers is not in my job description."
Cadance blushed feeling a bit embarrassed about and replied, "oh, don't worry about it; I'll change the little stinker."
The colt pouted but let Cadance lift him up and do her thing, and after a quick diaper change, she paid the tab throwing some bits on the table. “Here you go, I put a little bit extra for the trouble.”
“You better! I should remind the manager we don’t serve foals!” The waiter snapped and scooped the bits into his pocket before strutting off. The two then strolled off to his parents house where Shining simply dreaded for the worst to come.
Shining stood there in his stroller, unnerved and ready as he looked up at the front doors of his old home as Twilight Velvet and Night Light stood over him. The mare squealed upon seeing her son and picked up with her magic and hugged him close. "Oh, Shining, you came to visit! I'm so happy!"
Shining shouted and babbled angrily as Night Light turned to his wife seeing his son was getting quite annoyed and whispered, "Honey, you do this every time he comes over."
"Sorry, I can't help myself! I can't believe he's an actual baby again!" Twilight Velvet exclaimed, bouncing him on her back as she shouted, still being over-excited.
Shining just stood there, bouncing on his mother's back with his all too familiar pouty face and tumbled about being used to this treatment by now.
Twilight Velvet then placed Shining Armor back down into the stroller and saw her son was quite exhausted, with his eyes drooping and drool coming down his chin. She patted the colt on the head and whispered, "my goodness, he looks ready for a nap."
Cadance nodded and responded in agreement. "Yes, we had a long fun little day going around the city, and I thought we should pop in one last time."
Twilight Velvet ruffled Shining's mane and chirped, "Well, I want one more picture of my baby boy." She then took out a camera, and Shining eyes went wide as she snapped a photo of him. Cadance snickered as she nuzzled Shining. "Please send me a copy of that picture if you can."
"Of course! I have a full photo album of pictures, "Twilight Velvet chirped as she took out a bright blue book and stuck the picture inside.
Cadance, now curious, peered over her mother in law's shoulder and looked at some of the pictures and couldn't help but laugh and daww at them. Shining grumbled as he sat there, and Night Light looked over at his son with a sheepish grin. "Yeah...sorry about this your mom has just been super excited about you being a foal again."
Shining rolled his eyes and babbled sarcastically, "yeah, I get it to captain obvious."
But Night Light came closer and tickled Shining's belly with his magic making him giggle and blowing raspberries. "Yeah, I know your tickle spots, little chubby."
Shining giggled and blew bubbles from his mouth, kicking his about and not even noticing his onesie popped open again.
Cadance looked over and smiled, seeing Shining Armor laughing hysterically and kicking about in his diaper without care. Twilight Velvet started tearing up. "Oh, I can't believe he'll be back into an adult tomorrow."
The princess threw a hoof and scoffed at her mother in law's comment. "Oh please, even as an adult, he's just a big baby." Night Light continued the tickle session until a hissing noise emanated from the padding. It began to yellow and swell. Shining barely even noticed his accident, but his father did, and with a blush growing on the older stallion's cheeks. He stepped back. "Sorry, didn't mean for that to happen."
Twilight velvet squealed, clapping her hooves. "Oh, can I change his diaper!"
Cadance hoofed her the diaper bag and cooed, "he's all yours."
Shining groaned as he was picked up and was placed on a changing pad, and his mom went to work; he stared at his dad with a glare as he blushed and shrugged, "Sorry."
Cadence giggled as she paged through the photo album. After the diaper change was done, he was plopped down in his stroller with a cloud of foal powder enveloping him. Cadence then came over and patted him on the head. "Oh, stop being so pouty; your mother just wanted to experience being a mom again one last time."
"Yes...it was rather nice, though. I don't think I would enjoy doing that every day, though." Twilight Velvet as she tossed the sodden diaper into a trash bin nearby.
"Trust me; I know you already told me all about his potty training days. Luckily I won't have to go through that for a while." Cadance responded as she walked over and helped fix Shining Armor's onesie and placed her husband back into the stroller and strapped him in.
Twilight Velvet hugged the colt close one more time before whispering, "I'm going to miss you."
Shining sighed and kissed her on the cheek, making his mom tear up again before breaking from the embrace. Night Light waved a hoof. "Well, hopefully, you visit us when you're an adult again."
The pouty colt crossed his hooves and babbled, "yeah, of course, I will… in a few years maybe."
Cadence then brushed his mane. "Oh, we will, as soon as he's a big pony, we'll be right over."
She waved a hoof to Shining's parents as they strolled off, and Shining sneezed and coughed as foal powder hit his nostrils, making him shout angrily. "My mom put too much foal powder again! Ugh!!!"
Cadence dawwed, seeing Shining being all fussy. She then placed a pacifier into his mouth and put Brutus Forces into his hooves. "There that should help you calm down."
Shining grumbled as he suckled his pacifier and sat back, merely hoping that he could have a relaxing afternoon with his wife.
It was now late in the afternoon. After sorting the diaper supplies under the changing table, Princess Cadance turned to Shining Armor dressed in a dark blue sleeper and sitting in his playpen, building a castle of blocks, in which he's been working since he was turned into a foal. Cadance turned towards her husband and was quite surprised at how big the castle was and how intricate it looked with the shaped blocks were towers, the colorful blocks making some intricate patterns, and with really nice looking archways; as Shining was slowly placing the last few blocks on top with a worried look as he did his best to not tumble or knock a tower over with his clumsy hooves. He waved a hoof and exclaimed, "this is a perfect replica of Canterlot palace!"
Cadence of course couldn't understand what Shining was saying as she walked around and looked it over and whispered, "this is rather stunning; it would feel almost like I'm committing a crime when we have to break it down."
Shining stood on his hind legs and threw his hooves over and babbled, "no way this is getting taken down! It took me two weeks to make this!"
Cadance, of course, only heard angry babbles and laughed as she picked her husband up with her magic and nuzzled his nose. She then slowly got under the sheets and placing Shining right next to her chest and whispered, "Alright, let's take a nap...when we wake up, I'm sure Twilight will be back with your cure…"
She looked a bit depressed, saying that secretly going to miss Shining being a foal. He then slowly waddled over and nuzzled into her warm furry chest. The princess then placed a wing over the foal's body and had him pulled in close until he heard his wife's heartbeat. It was relaxing and rhythmic in a way he's never felt before. He drugged under the covers as Cadance plopped a pacifier with a blue mouth guard into his mouth. Shining suckled on the pacifier until he got into a rhythm
with the bulb bouncing up and down. Along with hearing his wife's heartbeat and feeling so safe and secure in her embrace (and maybe with his pampers feeling snug against his bottom too), the colt fell into a blissful sleep...

This was somthing I just couldn't get out of my head for a week or so and had to write it.
