//-------------------------------------------------------// Love is in the Air -by solidpeachgirl- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// 1 She had just arrived in Ponyville, with her bags and everything. Ready to live on her own. She walked into her new house and gazed out the window. "This is where I'll be living. Forever.....," she said. Now, Tulip is your normal, everyday Pegasus. Her body is a baby pink. Her mane is long and dark pink. Kind of like Fluttershy's mane, but longer, and Tulip has bangs. She keeps a white daisy clip on her right ear. It was gift from her father. Well, before he passed away. From her mother she has green lace up shoes that go up to her knees. She has had them since she was a filly. (Well, she buys a new pair once the old pair get too small). Her cutie mark is a light purple tulip. Tulip loves gardening, and she's really good at it. Her mother says she has a "green hoof" In fact, that's how she got her cutie mark, but that's another story. Tulip set her stuff down. "I'll unpack later. It's time to go make some friends!" She shouted. Finn walked along the sidewalk. Trying to find his way to the Pony Mart. "Where is it?!?! Why can't I find it?!?!?" He yelled. Finn is a bright blue Pegasus. Bright blond mane, golden eyes, and a red heart cutie mark. Finn's family are all fast race ponies. But Finn hates racing. He would rather do something more...... lovey. Meaning, he would much rather admire something, then be competitive. He is a very nice colt. He has 2 very close friends, but they live in Canterlot, so, he doesn't get to see them much. He hasn't lived in Ponyville long. He just moved here a month ago. He's not a very social pony. He has a hard time making friends, so he tends to be alone a lot, and he hates it. But that will soon change..... //-------------------------------------------------------// 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// 2 Tulip walked along the sidewalk, trying to get used to it all. It was just so different from her dorm. She missed her friends. She missed her family. She just wanted to go back home! No, She thought. Do it for Dad. She started crying as she began to run home. As fast as she could. Finn was lost. Even though Ponyville was a small town, he couldn't seem to find anything! But then, in the distance, he saw someone familiar. Or at least, he thought. He tried to get a closer look. Then, he saw him. It was is best friend! Or so he thought.. Finn began running. Using all the speed horse in him, he shot across the sidewalk. But then.... CRASH! . Tulip wanted to scream. Her snout hurt. This blue Pegasus had just ran right into her! But she tried not to cry. This colt was cute. "Oh my goodness!" The colt shouted. "I am so sorry!" He helped Tulip get up. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" "Yeah, I'm okay. It wasn't your fault. I shouldn't run with my eyes closed!" Tulip said, and she giggled at her own joke. "Haha. I'm Finn by the way." Finn said. "Hi Finn! I'm Tulip!" she said. She was kind of nervous. She had never had a crush on anyone before. She had no idea what to say. "So are you new around here?" Finn asked. "Yeah, I actually just moved here a few hours ago. That reminds me. I still have to unpack. I should get going. It was nice meeting you!" Tulip waved as she flew off. "Nice meeting you too!" Finn shouted. as he walked home, he thought about what had just happened. She's really pretty. He thought. But she probably hates me now for running into her. He sighed. He always has trouble talking to mares. He was afraid he had blew his one chance with her. What am I going to do now? He thought, as he slowly walked home. //-------------------------------------------------------// 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// 3 Tulip began unpacking boxes, and started thing about Finn. Do I actually like this guy? She thought, as she folded towels, and began to put them away. Well, he is kinda cute. She got up and grabbed the phone, and began to call her best friend Heartwing. "Hello? Heartwing?" "Tulip! Hey! How's it going over in Ponyville? Seen any cute colts around?" "Heartwing! I've only been here for a couple hours.... But yes.." "Well, tell me everything!" "Alright.." Tulip began. Finn sat alone at his kitchen table. He had had his mind on Tulip all day. I really like this mare. How will I get her to notice me? He thought. He had no idea what to do. So he called his best friend Justin. "Hey Finn! What's up?" Justin asked when he answered his phone. "Well... I like this mare..., and I don't know how to get her to notice me." Finn had called Justin because he had had many marefriends, so he figured Justin would be the right colt to help him out in a love crisis. "You could right her a love letter," Justin suggested. "Hey, that's a great idea!" Finn shouted. "But what do I say?" Well," Justin began. "Tell me about her." "Her name is Tulip. She is the most beautiful mare I've ever seen." "What do you like about her?" "Well, everything. Her smile, her laugh, her corny jokes. But we didn't have a very good 'first meet'." "Why? What happened?" "Well, I ran into her on my way to the Pony Mart. She probably hates me now." "I'm sure she's forgiven you by now. Now, back to the love letter. I say you just tell her what you just told me. Minus the 'first meet' story." "Okay, I'll do it! Thanks Justin!" "Any time bro." Justin said, as they both hung up their phones. Finn got right to writing the love note. I hope I'll have the guts to give it to her. //-------------------------------------------------------// 4 //-------------------------------------------------------// 4 The next day, Finn had finished the love letter, but he was too scared to give it to her. So, he decided to mail it to her. Wait, I don't have her address! Finn thought. Now how am I gonna give it to her? Finn decided to take a break from all this, and to go take a walk. He was out for a little, then he saw Tulip. He ran around the nearest corner. What am I going to do? I don't want her to see me! She's probably still mad at me for running into her yesterday! He ran home, and the letter fell out of his bag, without him noticing. He got back home, and he realized the letter was gone. He TORE his house apart looking for it. Oh no! What if Tulip finds it?! Tulip was out grocery shopping. She realized she didn't have any food to make dinner. Hmm, what should I have for dinner? Chef Salad? That sounds good. I'll make that. Going up and down the aisles for lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, and other salad goods. Tulip would much rather have home cooked meals then fast food. She had payed for her stuff, put it in her bags, and left for home. She walked around the corner, and found an envelope with her name on it. Hmm? What's this? she thought, as she picked it up and put it in her bag. She got home, put the groceries on the table, and picked up the phone. "Tulip? Why are you calling this late?" Heartwing asked. Tulip always called her best friend when something weird was happening. "Well, I was coming back from the store, and I found an envelope on the ground." "Okay, so?" "Well it had my name on it." "Did you open it yet??" Heartwing was very curious. "No, but I am now." "Well what does it say?" Heartwing asked. Tulip began reading the note. Tulip, I recently saw you, and I think you are beautiful. I love your smile, your laugh, and your corny jokes. You are not like any other mare I've met, and I like you for that. In fact, I like you for everything. I love the way your beautiful mane flows in the wind. I love how your so kind to everypony around you. Even me. You are beautiful. And I really like you. Finn "I wonder why it was there?" Tulip asked her. "I don't know Tulip, but I think somepony has a crush on you!" "Heartwing!" Tulip said. "Well I'm tired, so I'm gonna go to bed. Shouldn't you be asleep too?" "....I haven't even had dinner yet." Heartwing sighed. "Typical Tulip. Well, call me tomorrow! Bye!" Heartwing said. "I'll try!" Tulip said, as she hung up the phone. "Tomorrow is gonna be a long day."
